Working with Demons - version for busy witches

I want to preface by saying that I'm slightly fed up with the witchcraft community puting a lot of pressure on other (often beginner) witches to devote themselves 24/7 365 day in a year for their craft. I mean, if that's what you want then be my guest but there's witches like me, who are very busy with everyday life stuff to the point where it's not manageable for us to do rituals etc. everyday.

Since I'm currently working with demons, I'll focus my post on those beings but the info here could be applied to any beings if they agree to. What I mean is that, spiritual beings are often very considerate about our human life and they want the best for us so unless they want you to work with them everyday and stuff, you can be chill about your craft.

Anyway.. info here is based on my experience and relationship with Demons so it might not apply to you :)

Most of the times Demons just want to have someone they can turn to. From my experience, they're already busy with their own stuff and humans for them are purely ment for energy exchange (this is another topic I might make a post or a video about lol). Many practiconers are working with Demons from different grimoires purely to get something from them and that's completely ok. When you choose to work with a Demon purely for quick things, you can make any kind of offering, ritual or ask them in astral projection and they can decide by themselves wether to help you or not. What I don't advise (but you still can do it if that's how your believe system works) to use any rituals from Solomonic magic (the list of demons is ok, idk about sigils I always felt guilty if I had to use them) as they're very hmm.. mean to Demons I'll say. If you want to summon a Demon and force them to do stuff for you then whatever you do you but I like them too much to do that to them. LeVeyan rituals are iffy for me but I heard they work as well. Whatever you want to gain from Demons, you have to remember that they have their own free will and they often don't care much about humans. This practice is very busy ppl friendly as it doesn't require you to do much.

But what if you want to have a longer connection with a Demon? Well, it's ok for you to not work with them 24/7!

Firstly, Demons don't have to choose you, for you to work with them. Really. That's bullshit. If you want to work with a certain Demon, make an offering and ask them. It's like, asking someone to be your friend. They can agree but they can also disagree, so be prepared for that. I haven't reached out to a Demon first so I'll say more on what to do when a Demon does the first step lol

So, it's somehow easy and not easy at the same time. When Satan first approached me, I mistook him for Lucifer (which I heard is very common). Recently I made a contact with Furcas and it was also very surprising to me, since I wanted to see Satan in the first place. Sometimes a not very known Demon will reach out to you so it's harder to gather info on them. So yeah, how to work with your Demon buddies?

Talk. Just talk to them. It's so simple but it works amazing. Talk not only to them but about them to other people. Don't be afraid to tell what they said to you or did (unless the Demon doesn't feel comfortable with you sharing something, please respect them). They love that since they have a bad reputation to many people (just don't be pushy about your believes). Plus talking is not very time consuming as you can do it anytime. Talk about your day, about your problems and just how you are. They listen trust me. If you want to listen to them, take a pendulum, tarot cards or any mean of divination you like and ask them, about their day, how they are, how they see themselves, you, and other Demons. This can take like few minutes or an hour but it's something that's not very time consuming imo.

For offerings. Candles. They love a good candle. You can write their name, sigil on it and decorate it. Use the color they like and herbs you have on you hand. I mostly use cabbage thistle (as it's been using by my grandmas for cleansing) and achillea but whatever you have on hand will work. Another one are crystals and incense. Ask them what they want and give it to them. Simple and effective.

Astral projection is more time and energy consuming so do it when you feel like doing it. Rituals are the same.

So to end the post, I just want to say that Demons (and most of the beings) understand that you are busy or struggle. If you struggle with mental or phisical health and you don't have time to work with them, treat helping yourself as an offering. Really. You're wellbeing is also important to them and should be to you. Take your meds, go to therapy or a doctor and also, they can help you with your problems. Don't beat yourself over the fact that you don't have time, if you really don't have time and energy. It's ok trust me.

Temporary fun

You stared at your reflection. You weren't vain, ok? The site was just strange... and while you were used to seeing it on demons, it was not something you were used to on your own body.

A tail... it waved back and forth slowly, probably from your own curiosity. But a tail none the less... it was covered in smooth fur, and it curved around your body just right. Like it was made to be there.

Long and sleek black like most tails found on demons, but the tuff at the end wasn't a heart or a triangle like most you had seen. No, this was more animal like. Like opera or kalego's tails.

A lion's tail. The plum of fur at the end matches your hair color. It was... lovely. Glancing at your face however lead to stranger sights. Bunny ears? You know horns took all shapes and forms, so you shouldn't complain... but still a bunny?

You shouldn't be surprised. You have seen a lot of mismatched oddities since entering hell, but to think your own body would now be one of them? How rude.

You huffed and poked at the new and rather sensitive attachments. If you saw Dali any time soon, you'd strangle him with your new tail. They weren't the up and always alert bunny ears, no... that was to easy.

They were the heavy droopy long ears that framed your face. Well, at least they also matched your hair color... and they were warm. Drat, you liked them. Even if they weren't as fun as your tail.

Stupid Dali and him "accidentally" tripping. You huffed. This was definitely revenge for you, making him listen to Clara's "music" for an hour as a dare. Your baby was talented in her own way... just not musically inclined.

You walked out of the restroom in the teachers dorm, tired of looking at yourself... for now. You spotted Kalego at his desk, and a wicked smirk crossed your lips. Why not have a little fun while you could.

Walking over to him, you sat beside him as you usually would when you wanted his attention. He eyes you a moment before doing a double take. You know your tail is swaying playfully behind you, giving away your intentions, but his face was priceless.

"Mmmm, Kalego-San, you never told me horns could be so heavy... or so sensitive." You purred. His eyes locked onto your "horns" as you stroked them gently. You shivered.

He twitched. "And tails... it has a mind of it's own I swear..." Your tail wrapped around his arm, stroking his bicep. His breath hitched. You tried not to laugh. Kalego could be such a blushing virgin sometimes.

"How do you guys deal with them all the time. Or even keep them out of the way?" You stroked your hair back, causing the new appendages to follow. Your whole body shook from the sensation. You immediately let go, letting it all drift back into place.

Your tail releasing his arm and Kalego's eyes couldn't look away. Oh... oh, this was delicious. Your tail wrapped around his neck a moment and cupped his jaw. Tracing his cheekbone for a moment.

You pretended to notice the time. "Ah, I gotta run. Furcas-San needed my assistance in her research." Your tail slowly unravels, stroking against his jaw one last time as you left. "See you later, Kalego-San." You purred again. Leaving him speechless.

You know what maybe you wouldn't kill dali at all. That was just so fun. You might even give Dali a smooch for all the fun this brought! You tail sways. Now... where was Balam?

You already loved his touch without the added features. You had a feeling you were going to die if he touched you now. Your tail wiggles, and you feel a tingle in your horns. Ah, it was going to feel so good!

So, just breaking up requests with throwing up stuff for various fandoms that I’ve been writing or had stored away from previous writing! I thought it would give a better variety of all the fandoms I do write for and really get me back into the swing of things, while still getting you guys (semi)well-written replies! So, for these headcanons, I used this prompt over here and, instead of picking a character and spelling their name, I spelled out the name of the fandom, Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun! fully and wrote headcanons I have for the various characters! I hope you’ll all enjoy!

          W: Would they rather go to the beach or to the mountains?

I feel like Ameri has seen the beach scenes in First Love Memories so many times and she sort of romanticizes the beach and really wants to go there with a lover. It’s one of the top things she really wants to do, honestly, though the actual experience would fluster her! After all, what swimsuit should she wear? There’re so many options; how can she ever pick! And there’s so many things to do at the beach, she couldn’t possibly figure out which one they should do first!

As for the mountains, I really feel like Balam enjoys being up in the mountains, seeing the different species of animals and plants, enjoying the relative peace of the mountains.

Clara and Agares, however, would choose neither because neither of them really appeals strongly to them. Clara much prefers a good forest, with lots of trees and clearings and things to explore. Agares, on the other hand, just wants to stay home and doesn’t get why he keeps being dragged out when he just wants some quality nap time.

          E: Do they have a good relationship with their siblings?

While it’s not quite a legit sibling relationship, I do feel like Elizabetta always wanted siblings. While she appreciates that there are some advantages to being an only child, I really feel like she wanted the sibling experience. She wanted older brothers to dote on her or older sisters to look up to. She wanted younger siblings to guide and watch over. I really do feel like, in some ways, she tries really hard to be like a ‘cool big sis’ to some of the other characters, especially Clara, and it would be such a huge compliment for her if one of the other girls were to tell her that’s how they think of her.

          L: Do they binge watch shows on Netflix?

Okay, so assuming that the demon world has their own version of Netflix, because of course they do, I feel like Jazz only binges under specific conditions. On his own, I don’t feel he really binges anything. He enjoys watching certain things and can definitely sit down and watch them for a couple hours tops but sitting down and watching a full season in one go is not his cup of tea. I feel the only time he really sits down and binges something is if he’s watching it with someone else. He can binge happily with other people because, to him, it’s more a companionship thing than a solitary hobby.

          C: Have they ever lost anyone close to them?

I feel like Kalego does have experience dealing with death. I really can’t pinpoint who or how many people he’s lost but I feel either a friend or a grandparent, maybe? I just really do feel strongly though that he has experience with losing someone, with death, and with grieving.

          O: How would they describe their childhood in general?

I feel like Garu had a pretty normal childhood, if somewhat solitary. He was a bit of an odd duck as a child, really very interested in science and inventing. He was really outgoing and not at all shy but didn’t make friends easily and was often out tinkering on his own. However, he had a good relationship with his parents and was generally a pretty happy child.

          M: Would they rather live in the country or in the city?

I feel like Orobas would be pretty happy in either the country or the city. He’s a pretty adaptable guy but if he had to choose, I feel like he’d pick the country to live in, though he wouldn’t want to live alone in the country. He still wants some companionship but would appreciate the peace and quiet of countryside living more than being constantly surrounded by people and noise in the city.

          E: Do they have a good relationship with their siblings?

Jazz and Rock’s sibling relationship is…strained, to say the least. However, while he’s definitely very selfish in a lot of ways, I don’t necessarily see Rock as being purposefully a complete asshole and I definitely don’t think he hates his little brother. I think, in some messed up way that probably stems from the attitude in the demon world and the way Rock was raised, that his bullying of Jazz is kind of Rock’s way of trying to ‘toughen up’ his little brother and to make Jazz better with both his bloodline magic and as a person. It doesn’t excuse Rock’s actions and I think it definitely sours what could have been a good brotherly relationship, but I do think the elder Andro brother isn’t acting out of pure malice.

          T: What is their full name?

Orias does have a middle name…his full name is Oswell Orion Orias. His family really likes alliteration.

          O: How would they describe their childhood in general?

Allocer’s childhood was solitary but peaceful. He was a curious child, to the point his first word was ‘why’ and he had a thirst for learning from a very young age that his parents fostered and encouraged. He spent a lot of time reading instead of outside playing with other kids and his school life was mostly dedicated to learning and studying. He didn’t make many close friends until he went to Bablys but doesn’t remember his childhood as bad by any means.

          D: Are they religious?

I feel like, with all the other weird things the demon world has, there’s definitely a cult based around beauty and that Dosanko definitely is a member of that particular cult!

          E: Do they have a good relationship with their siblings?

I feel like the Marbas family are all really close to one another, actually. They’re a pretty tight knit clan, though there are, of course, some tensions or arguments between family members, as you’ll find in any family. They fight, ma

          M: Would they rather live in the country or in the city?

I feel that, after experiencing both, Iruma really does prefer city life. While peace and quiet is nice, the city inspires him in a way. There are always new people to meet, things to do, and it makes him happy in a way that the general peace and quiet of country living doesn’t.

          O: How would they describe their childhood in general?

I feel the only way to describe Balam’s childhood is…eventful. He just seemed to have the knack, all through his childhood and teenage years, really, of getting himself into insane situations. It wasn’t even so much that he tried. In fact, knowing that he worried his parents and the few friends he found himself able to gain, he would try so hard not to get into scrapes but he just seemed to attract weird, sometimes dangerous, situations.

          N: How do they feel about politics?

I feel like Azz actually has some rather strong opinions on politics, though he’s smart enough to keep them to himself most times. Growing up with his mother being part of the Thirteen Crowns, I feel he was exposed to political opinions quite often, really, growing up and that he learned and was encouraged to shape his own opinions regarding political subjects. While his views do align with his mother’s quite often, they do differ in certain areas. Again though, Asmodeus keeps his political views to himself a lot of the time, though he will chime in with them if he’s talking to someone he trusts, and the subject gets brought up.

          S: Do they read their horoscope?

It depends on the day and the mood he’s in, but Furfur does read his horoscope. If he’s in a playful mood, he’ll even use his horoscope to make his decisions for the day. Sometimes he’ll go against everything in the horoscope, sometimes he follows it to the letter. It just amuses him to see how right or wrong the advice for the day was and leads him into interesting situations, which is really all he wants in life.

          C: Have they ever lost anyone close to them?

We know that Furcas has a daughter. But, and maybe I’m wrong here because, again, I haven’t finished up the manga…I feel like she’s a widow. I feel like she’s gone through the death of her husband and the grief of that, combined with the stress of having to suddenly become a single parent. While she enjoyed a good drink before that, I really feel like she started drinking more heavily as well in the wake of her husband’s death, as that was the only way she knew of to handle it.

          H: What do they smell like?

Okay, but I feel like Dali spends enough time with Suzy, and is genuinely good friends with her, that he smells a little like the plants and flowers she grows, mixed with a kind of pleasant musky odor and a hint of spice and old leather from a cologne he favours.

          O: How would they describe their childhood in general?

I feel like Blushenko was actually rather bullied as a child by his schoolmates and he was a little bit of a headstrong troublemaker growing up because of that. Though he matured through his teenage years, his childhood was complicated for him and isn’t something he likes to think about.

          O: How would they describe their childhood in general?

Momonoki’s childhood was relatively good. Her parents and her got along and she was the apple of her grandfather’s eye. She made friends well in school, was a good student and really didn’t have a lot of issues that way. However, I feel like her upbringing was quite strict and there was a lot of pressure she felt, a lot of emphasis on her achieving good marks and excelling in school and with her bloodline ability and that she sometimes felt a little overwhelmed at times with it all.

          L: Do they binge watch shows on Netflix?

Robin, not too surprisingly, does love the demon world’s version of Netflix but he’s flighty with it. He’ll either latch onto a show and binge every episode one right after the other or he’ll hop between shows constantly, sometimes in the middle of episodes, because he gets bored with them.

          I: How do they feel about tattoos? Do they have any?

Iruma actually really likes the look of certain tattoos. Some of the jobs he had to work, he got used to tattoos on some of the adults, both good and mediocre ones. He appreciates the work that went into most of them and loves the really detailed, super-colorful pieces that he’s seen on some people. However, he has no desire to get a tattoo himself – he’s a little terrified of the process of getting them and the pain associated with it.

          R: Who is the first person they call when they are in trouble?

Kiriwo, whenever in trouble, will immediately call Baal. Ever since Kiriwo met Baal, that’s been his go-to, the one person Amy feels will be able to solve any issue.

          U: Do they have a criminal record of any kind?

Baal should have a criminal record. He really should. But the fact is, the man is brilliant in his own way and either doesn’t get caught or, if caught, is able to keep or excuse his actions as being just the demonic blood and instincts he has.

          M: Would they rather live in the country or in the city?

I feel like, though Delkira loves the city and, once upon a time, couldn’t imagine being anywhere other than it, the longer he lived and the more power he gained, the less patience he had for it and the more he wanted an escape from the city, from the people, from life itself and the more he wanted a quiet, peaceful, beautiful life in a more country environment, where he could just be.

          A: Do they have any pet peeves?

Gaako’s pet peeve is definitely Iruma by this point, just because of the strength of the obsession her best friend Eiko has with him. Sometimes, she swears if she hears Iruma’s name one more time, she’ll go completely insane.

          K: Do they have a quote that they live by?

Ocho, as part of the Cult of the Numeral 2, kind of lives by their vision and mantras, more or less.

          U: Do they have a criminal record of any kind?

General Furfur definitely has committed war crimes. Just saying. And numerous crimes growing up as he was a hellion of a child. The only reason he doesn’t have a criminal record is he always had the luck to either be on the winning side or to be sneaky enough to not get caught.

          N: How do they feel about politics?

Henri is very political. He’s a very moral character, for a demon, with very black and white views on the world in general and on what is right and what is wrong. He’s pretty forthright on his views as well since he doesn’t feel like he should have to hide them. He believes in following the rules and has a more accepting view of humans than most other demons.

"I can't." You said plainly. Trying not to make a big deal out of what you said. "Oh, if you're busy, we can go some other -" you quickly waved them off. "No, I mean, I can't ever I can't fly." The room fell silent at your statement.

"Oh! You mean you have small wings like your son, yis? It's not fit for flying." Suzy-San asked, trying to keep calm. You sighed. You knew you'd have to show them at some point.

Standing up and facing your back towards them slowly without a word peeled off your top. Inch by inch, it revealed scars from your old life as a human. You heard several gasps, and you think you heard glass shattered. Finally, your full back was exposed.

You kept your eyes forward, not wanting to watch for any signs of betrayal. You didn't want to watch as they tried to sink their teeth into you. You were surprised, though, by the angry growl that ripped through the room. It caused you to glance over your shoulder to see Kalego-San crushed glass in hand staring at your back with fury.

Slowly, you faced him and made your way over. Gently, you unclenched his hand and removed the glass shards without a word. The room remained silent, and it was almost chilling how that silence made you feel.

It's not as though you outright lied to them. You just never confirmed or denied anything. Carefully, you cradled the broken glass in one hand.

You still didn't look them in the eye as you disposed of it and rummaged through your first aid kit for bandages. Being the parent of the misfit class, it was almost a requirement that you carried it around at all times.

Just before you could start disinfecting the wound, kalego had quickly grasped your wrist. "Iruma doesn't actually have wings, does he?" He asked. The silent demand for an answer was clear. You offered no response as you stood there before him.

His grip tightened for a moment before loosening as if he wasn't sure how to treat you anymore. "Iruma is a special child." You told him calmly. "And I think at this point he has proven with or without wings he can soar. Look at how far he's come already and how much he has accomplished."

"Why now? Why not keep it a secret?" You heard Furcas-San ask curiosity seemed to grow. "I would rather be the one to show you the truth instead of have you believe a lie." You eyes still remained on kalegos' hand.

"Kinda reckless, but I'm happy you can trust us." Dali-San says as he comes up behind you and squeezed your shoulder. "We will protect you as much as we do the students." He promises.

"That's not right, Dali-senpai. They're still the same after all. Nothing changes, and they can take care of themselves. You saw for yourself how fast they are, and did you see those killer instincts?? It's so cool! They are definitely one of us and can hold their own!" Robin-San babbled proudly as he lifted you up and away from the two older demons.

You were in shock. This wasn't the reaction you had expected, but... you probably had proven yourself enough times to be trusted. "That must be why you always smell so good. And hear I was hoping you would share your perfume recipe with me." Raim-san whined as she came up to your other side. Pressing her chest into your back.

"Wait a minute! Is that why you stole my sweater!" You demanded trying to squirm out of Robin's bear hug. "It's not stolen if you gave it to me♡" "To barrow, not hide it away for 3 months!"

As you fought against the laughing pair, you didn't notice Dali and kalego speaking with Balam. "They look so happy!" Balam said cheerfully, glad his human was accepted.

"They are constantly reckless. How are we going to deal with this now that we are aware?" Kalego huffed in irritation. Dali just smirked. "Awe lighten up, babyls can manage a human or two. It deals with hundreds of adolescent demons, after all."

"YES!!!" They turned as you stood victoriously on top of a dog pile of demons arms raised in the air. Kalego gave Dali-San a withered look as Balam quickly rushed over. You threw yourself into his arms with a gleeful laugh.

Kalego glanced down at his cut palm and then looked back up at you. You who was smiling brightly in a room full of demons capable of tearing the flesh off your bones. You who were willing to place everything on the line time after time. Certainly, you were worth a scratch or two.

No... you were worth more than that. You had won the hearts and respect of many demons. You had pushed past barriers and broken down walls, literally ready to tear the throat out of anyone that harmed one of babyls beloved students.

You were a part of babyls. The embodiment of what it stood for and who it protected. And he could accept that. After all, it would be even worse teaching those demonic brats without you around.

Given your location I'd say probably Tipula furca, which doesn't have a common name as far as I know.
