also im pretty sure its either placebo, the fact ive been doing more stuff in general, or feeling more comfortable using a body that matches my own better, but i feel a lot physically stronger now that im on t :3 didnt take any effort to lift a 50 pound bag of chicken feed over my shoulder. before i wouldve had to crouch down so my shoulder was at the height of the truck, pull it onto my shoulder, and then stand. i just crouched, tossed that shit over my shoulder, and even shut the truck bed with no issue
#i wanna try some Farm Bitch Ripped (tm) workouts#namely working on my leg strength#walking around n doing squats with a bag of chicken feed is my main thought#i LOOOOVE working on functional strength i think its awesome. weights? no. chicken feed? YES#pots gives me zero cardio or heart strength but im naturally built like a brick shithouse#i wanna be able to carry my friends

I'm happy that my chronic pain and I have been living more in harmony as of late
#It has been four months since I have had a need-to-take-multiple-sick-days-and-lay-down flare#I still get flares but they are more manageable and I am better at recognizing the signs now to take preemptive steps#I am happy that my chronic pain is allowing me to work ohy#it's also a combination of things that I do#like I have been stretching 5-7 hours a week for over two years now#I have worked on my sleep hygiene. I take multivitamins. I walked 3.5 km at least three times a week#so what I do can help but not control it completely. and so we have learned to live more in harmony#I realized weightlifting 4 times a week (2 x upper body 2x lowet body) increased the frequency + duration + intensity of my flares#also putting more than 60% in my weight lifting also contributed to it#when I did that workout regimen for 4 months I then had the worst flare of my life. contemplating MAID kind of flare#However I have learned I can workout. I just weightlift my upper body once a week and lower body once a week. I have an optional core#workout too if I am up for it focusing on functional aspects of core strenth (leg raises + planks + side planks + farmer carries)#I only workout to 60% mac#I also used to walk 7 km 5 times a week but that made my pain significantly worse#I adjusted my workout schedule and intensity and now I can sustainably do it#the stretching is both preventative + proactive because it can help reduce the chance of a flare. and if it is a bad pain day? Stretching#distracts me from the pain#When I make smoothies I make 6 at a time and freeze 3 to 4. The chances of me being able to make 6 smoothies three times a week is very low#However making smoothies once a week? that is more likely. I don't romanticize it. it is a part of my mundane routine that makes life easier#for me#I have been drinking 2-3 L of water a day for years to prevent other health conditions my family is predisposed to#I have built up things that work with my chronic pain and flares#The main thing I am focusing on now is ensuring I get 100 g of protein +25-30 of fibre at least five times a week#I have also been working on developing “comfort” evening/activities if it is a bad pain day.#This usually entails heated wheatbags + comfort movie + one day baths again. I also will make a nest and curl up in my bed in the darkness.#Also I have my Catharsis playlist too. At some point I would like to get CBD oil too#So it is a mixture of both I have put in a lot of work + also my chronic pain is being kind right now (and my prescribed meds help)#It also helps only having to clean dishes after 2 people as well and only being aware of 1 person where I live. Having another person live#with me I realized stressed me out the few times I have because I feel like I constantly have to put a face/mask on + I could never truly#relax in the place I live because I was just too aware at all times. I become too aware + hyperfocused/hypervigilant and I can't truly relax

yeah like he’s A Man. strong and sturdy and safe and whose number one priority is making you feel good… need dat
AND HE IS!! THAT’S A REAL MAN YOUR HONOR!
Like, look at him? I can't really explain this properly lmfao (I never do), but Jack Abbot to me is "big & broad" where it's needed if that makes sense? Like his arms are thick, his biceps bulge and twitch when he does literally anything. We saw him carry things around, use a knife to tear open a box of emergency gear, he has physical body strength and probably keeps himself active from both a mix of routine from years in the military & recommendations from physical therapists/doctors/his own kfnowledge. He probably goes on runs and lifts weights in the gym for muscle maintenance (don't imagine him sweating through his t-shirt in the gym and lifting the underside of his shirt to wipe the sweat off his face and his dog tags are on his chest WHEWW!)
I have no doubt in my mind that Jack can pick somebody up. I don't care what you tell me, I KNOW IT'S TRUE! THIS IS MY CANON! But yes, like he'd manhandle you if he wants to because he can. He'll reposition you if needed, whether that be at work when he’s trying to get by you, or when it's just you two getting frisky.
He’s the kind of man that will put you in certain positions depending on his mood, and he really doesn’t mean to shift you around so much, but he does it anyway. He’ll pin you to the mattress with his big hands on your hips and palm your stomach when he’s fucking into you in missionary. He’ll wrap a hand around your thigh, toss your legs over his shoulders, and push your knees back to your ears to keep you spread open for him as he pummels into you. He’ll flip you over on your hands and knees and has his way with you that way from behind with a hand on the back of your neck keeping your face into the mattress. He’ll have you on top and fuck you from underneath and pull you back down onto him like his personal fleshlight. He’ll pull you off of his cock and maneuver you on top of him with your thighs on either side of his head so he can make you ride his face. He’ll lift you to the bathroom so he can let you pee and then clean you up afterwards in the shower when your legs don’t work. You can trust Jack with your own body weight because he'll be able to support you off the ground or keep you pinned against the wall by holding you from the underside of your thighs.
He's not invincible, but he's far from weak, don't get it twisted.
Jack Abbot isn’t ripped at all, but he’s firm, solid. You can see the outline of his shoulders flex under his scrubs, the lines of his back shifting underneath the material of his work clothes. His waist doesn’t taper in, but it doesn’t have to. His entire frame is like the prime example of a tree trunk but in the sexiest way possible, because he probably has a strong ass core lol, and it’s more freckled surface area to love anyway. I like to imagine he has thick thighs (he does), and his cargo/scrub pants don’t hide ANYTHING. I mean given he’s an amputee, he’d probably have to continuously workout to maintain his own strength and physical function with his prosthetic especially as he ages.
So imagine him doing a bunch of leg work, going hard on leg days at the gym until he hits his physical limit and his joints start to ache, but that work pays off because you can see every tendon in his calves and thighs. Of course, you feel it when Jack fucks you in any position, or when he’s fucking your throat and your nails are digging into the hard muscle that start to shake when he comes on your tongue.
He’s strong, he’s reliable, you can depend on him in quite literally anything. He built his body from the ground up, cause chances are he didn't look like that his entire life, but it's just something about an older man maintaining his physical strength despite not looking like a bodybuilder. Yeah...NEED DAT BAD!
#jack abbot x reader#jack abbot smut#jack abbot#shawn hatosy#the pitt#jack abbot imagine#ovaryacted asks#I had to get this out before I started studying lmao#need dat old man cookie bad as fuck right now! 🚬🐤

Voluminous Victorian | Sims 2 Residential Lot Download
This Victorian style home was built based on actual house plans and features 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms as well as large living spaces (because what kind of Victorian home would it be if it didn't have tons of space?!). 🤭 It sits on a 3X3 lot and is mostly unfurnished.
Cost: §118,573

The backyard is smaller, but there's room in the side-yard to add a swing set or other play equipment for the Simlets so they don't get bored...or, leave it as is to encourage some extra creativity and interest in nature by having them look for bugs, or catch butterflies!

And a view of the side-yard looking toward the back of the property:

A note about the driveway and garage: In sticking with the original house plans it made the driveway and garage inaccessible-meaning they are purely decorative. It is possible to place a driveway over top of the pavers with the "moveobjects" cheat, but you'll have to do that each time you load the lot.
Use the garage as a workout room, or pop a woodworking station in there and create classic toys to entertain the neighborhood!

This is a lot I originally built back in 2006 or 2007, and that should have been shared to my Simblr with the group of lots I put up in 2022, but it seems to have been missed! I took this opportunity to re-do the roof and dress the garden beds up a little. If you're one of the folks who snagged the old lot (which was available in my main SFS files folder), please redownload. 😊
Even though the home is mostly unfurnished I did grab a couple shots of the interior.
Kitchen:

Entryway and stairs: Why stairs? This picture shows off the new plain white (NO more ugly bright aqua stripe!!1) Euro stairs and railing default that Rosie shared with me in response to a WCIF! Grab it here if you need it for your game too. I have always liked the shape of these objects but have never been able to use this color of the set because of that glaring bright blue stripe. 🤭 Look for these stairs and railings to feature in a lot more of my builds! Now I just need to find someone who wants to remove the bright blue stripe from all the other items in the white version of the OFB Euro set.
They are open underneath, so I've put a few decorations up to show that feature off. Feel free to change the décor to fit your sim family's style.

1st Floor: Clockwise from bottom right: dining room, 1/2 bathroom, kitchen, garage, bathroom, laundry room, family room, office nook, stairwell, living room.

2nd Floor: 4 bedrooms, and 3 more bathrooms. 🎉

Voluminous Victorian: MF | SFS
All EPs and SPs are required.
I’ve run this home through the Lot Compressor so any random references to sims that aren’t there should be removed. I have also run this lot through the Lot Cleaner to remove any bits of buggy code. This lot comes with a shiny custom thumbnail so it has even more curb appeal in your Lots and Houses bin! 😄
This home has only 2 pieces of CC, which you may already have in your game. These can easily be replaced or omitted if you don’t want them though.
CC List (Included): -Maxis Match Wall Cabinets by CTNutmegger at ModtheSims -LG Dryer & Washer Machine by Fresh-Prince at ModtheSims (If you want a functional version try this set by MustLuvCats instead.)
Default Replacements Shown: -Plain white default of the OFB Euro stairs and fence rail by Rosie (Rosebine at MTS2) -Bay Tree texture default by @tvickiesims
Skybox used in the main images: -"Spectacular Sunset" Skyglobe by iCad Thanks to @simmergetic for the inspo! The pink sky went with this lot and all its pink flowers so nicely.
I ALWAYS recommend using the Sims 2 Pack Clean installer to install lot files.
Want to improve the look of your game, or grab some "Lost & Found" Maxis objects? Check out this post.

Soooooo h’s trainer did an article on his workout routines for touring and outside of touring. Brad not mentioned - i think Brad was used either secondarily if his trainer couldn’t travel the whole time or as we all like to think was an Azoff ploy. Maybe Brad was used to give H a little more freedom in starting to come out of the closet, but I’m still not a fan. His trainer though had the kindest things to say about h. This could also start kickoff the rumblings of a new tour
SO interesting. Thibo has been with him for years. I remember him being quoted a number of times. So what the hell was Boring Brad there for? It sure seems like he was just a minder. Maybe a workout partner. He sure set himself up very well having everyone think he was the reason Harry looked so amazing during Love On Tour.

We gained unprecedented access to the star's workout secrets from the man who has worked with Harry for over five years and built his stamina to where it is today - personal trainer Thibo David.
Thibo first met the 'As It Was' singer when he was working on his first album via a recommendation.
[…]
Setting a workout plan on day one of Love on Tour would not have cut it. The sell-out shows ran for 22 months covering 173 shows across seven legs and five continents so adequate physical preparation was essential maintaining physical health and the stamina required to keep up with such a rigorous set.
"Harry's main priorities ahead of a tour are building endurance, maintaining energy levels, and staying injury-free," Thibo reveals. "His tours are incredibly demanding, both physically and mentally, with long performances, travel, and limited recovery time."
The trainer explains that the 'Watermelon Sugar' singer focuses on improving cardiovascular fitness, strengthening his core, and incorporating mobility exercises to enhance flexibility and prevent strain.
"Beyond physical fitness, he places a strong emphasis on mental clarity and stress management, ensuring he's fully present and capable of delivering his best on stage," he adds. "Hydration, sleep, and balanced nutrition are equally essential in his preparation."
Thibo is no ordinary personal trainer. His background as a commando heavily influences the training programme he devises for Harry before, during, and after a tour. He tells us: "Touring often presents unpredictable conditions—whether it’s a lack of equipment, limited space, or tight schedules. The ability to adapt quickly and create effective workouts in unconventional settings was key.
Thibo says that Harry's tour workout looks different from his other work commitments: "For a film, we might prioritise functional strength, agility, and endurance, while for a photoshoot, we'd incorporate elements of conditioning and aesthetic-focused training. Regardless of the goal, the workouts always maintained a balance of mobility, strength, and recovery to ensure Harry remained physically prepared for the demands ahead."
[…]
"We had a lot of fun. One of our traditions was running the stairs of every stadium and arena we visited, turning it into a unique challenge." Making exercise fun for the star is a priority for Thibo and he had a certain trick up his sleeve for lifting the energy before a show.
"Sometimes, we even turned these sessions into team events, with the musicians and crew joining in. This approach not only kept Harry in peak physical condition but also fostered camaraderie and morale among the team," he says.
[…]
"…we focus heavily on energy management, tailoring sessions to complement his performance schedule. Recovery becomes a top priority, with techniques like mobility work, active stretching, and massage incorporated regularly."
A tour coming to a close does not signal the end of Harry's workout plan. This new phase allows Harry to use exercise to recover and rebuild. Thibo explains: "We shift the focus to activities like running, boxing training, and recovery practices, such as cold baths, to help his body decompress from the intense demands of touring.
"The workouts are less about high intensity and more about maintaining his fitness base, regaining mobility, and resetting his energy levels. This phase is also a great time to experiment with new methods and address any imbalances or tightness that may have developed during the tour."
Having worked closely with the former One Direction star, Thibo can attest to Harry's dedication – a trait that makes a personal trainer's life undeniably easier. He tells us: "Harry is an amazing human being—focused, disciplined, and incredibly dedicated to his craft.
"He fully understands the benefits of optimising all aspects of his performance, which makes working with him both rewarding and effective."

Me for years : ok beefy guys do nothing for me, that much muscle is not attractive. I prefer tall, lean guys.
Me, watching BvS for the first time at the movies, watching Bruce in various states of undress and those shirts : O.O OH. Oh I get it now!!
Is there anything hotter than bruce saving a child wearing a simple suit, and later undressing and seeing all those muscles and scars?? Workind out?? NO
I mean, to be fair to Batfleck, he IS tall and fairly lean. But he’s just got insane amounts of muscle packed on, especially around the shoulders. As someone else said on the post I just reblogged, you can see that Dorito taper down to his waist easily in the dress shirts and vests, when he isn’t playing Bruce Wayne in public necessarily.
What’s always interesting to me is that Batfleck is built, but he’s not insanely puffy in the chest like a lot of bodybuilders/marvel heroes. His pecs aren’t outrageously built out. They were really going more for functional strength and I think that comes across well in the workout scene — he’s not dehydrated and leaned out to see every bit of muscle (other than the abs lol). Instead, he’s clearly insanely strong and showing off that lean(er) functional strength.
Examples:
versus Captain America’s pecs

Anyone for a luxury doomsday condo named the “Survival Condo,” in a Kansas state-of-the-art facility that houses multiple condo units—from full-floor homes to penthouse apartments.
Leading up to the bunker is a private driveway armed with a guard to protect the imposing structure from any unwanted visitors. (That's the CEO, Ron Hubbard.) The bunker itself, Hubbard explains, is only minimally visible at ground level, where a camouflaged shell that is designed to withstand a 20 kiloton nuclear warhead sits behind large fences.
The staggering 20,000-square-foot structure has impressive doors built to withstand 8 tons of weight, and there is indoor and outdoor parking meant to accommodate armored vehicles.
The 15-story structure can house up to 75 people in multiple condo units that occupy either half or full-floor spaces.
The full-floor layouts are designed for 6 to 10 people, and the half-floor layouts are designed for 3 to 5 people.
This is a decontamination room where gas masks, radiation scrubs, and biohazard scrubs are available, along with stockpiles of large batteries, including two submarine batteries to further power the bunker.
There is a large pool with a waterfall and slides inside the structure.
Two Caterpillar diesel generators can run the whole facility, and doors that work in tandem in a lockdown situation open and close, room to room. Everything is bulletproof.
“Our objective when first approaching this project was to leave no stone unturned and to ensure that every detail, from safety, feature, and function to style, comfort, and luxury … every aspect of this endeavor had to be just right.”
Inside the common areas of the underground condo building are classrooms for children, a shooting range, dog park, game room, a movie theater, a fully stocked pub, and a workout room. Should health issues arise for any of the condo’s inhabitants, they need only visit the on-site medical and surgery center, and even an indoor climbing wall.

5 strategies that have improved my executive functioning in 2023
1. Preparing tasks in advance
This tip has been one of the most useful things for me to be able to actually get the things I want to do done without getting stuck in the process. I am very prone to difficulties with task initiation and task switching. Basically I've found that if I check what activities are upcoming for that day in my calendar (but you can use any task that you want to do sometime that day) then I set the task up in advance it's a lot easier to actually do the task.
So if my goal is to stream after dinner then I turn my pc on and have my setup ready to go before dinner. If I want to do a Pilates workout I set up my mat an hour before I actually want to do the workout. If I want to go to the gym I get into gym clothes at the start of the day so I don't have to change later.
I basically eliminate all the difficult prep work and then I find doing the task so much easier when I get to it.
2. Task switching when stuck
A lot of neurodivergent people have issues with getting 'stuck' or 'frozen', myself included. Whether it's autistic inertia or decision paralysis or something else it's very common to find yourself unable to do anything at all. You'll know that even if you put your phone away or stop what you're doing you'll just continue to sit there doing nothing.
The solution to this for me has consistently been to switch goal. I want to get up and shower but can't? I'll find that I can pull my laptop out and get some work done instead (and then shower after lunch later in the day). I am stuck when I want to stream? I find I can do my skincare instead (and I ended up streaming the next day).
Yes this means you don't get your original goal done when you wanted but you get something done, and something is better than nothing.
3. Task chaining
I've found that task chaining is the easiest way for me to get multiple tasks done. It's basically building upon your success. Take the example from my task switching section where I couldn't get myself to start streaming so I decided to do my skincare instead. While doing skincare I remembered I wanted to ask my brother about a particular product. So suddenly I'm capable of going to ask him about it. I couldn't even get out of bed before but now I have the motivation to move (I keep my skincare next to my bed so I didn't have to get up prior to this). After talking to him I decide I can go downstairs and make tea (something I originally wanted to do before streaming but was too stuck to do). While downstairs my mother tells me that she has a pile of laundry for me. I decide to take it back upstairs and put it away immediately. While doing so I figure I may as well sort all the laundry that's piled up on my floor as well.
I've gone from not doing anything to completing 4 separate tasks. If I wanted to get up and put the clothes on my floor away originally I'd never have been able to do it. I built on my successfully completed tasks and chained them together. Of course you should still remember to rest after chaining a number of tasks together.
4. Prioritise harder tasks earlier
I get all my energy at the start of the day and feel quite tired by the end of the day. This is how most people feel due to how our circadian rhythms function. Because of this I have found it's a lot easier to get difficult tasks done in the morning.
So now instead of trying to clean my room or go to the gym at 5pm I'll do it at 9am. I'll save 5pm for my easy tasks, things like studying Korean, meditating, studying geography, and coding. Take some time to figure out which tasks you find easy and which you find hard. If you consistently find yourself unable to do a task that's a hint that it's difficult for you. Vice versa if you're consistently capable of a task it might be a sign it's an easier one for you.
5. Using an AI scheduler
I saved this one for last, not because it's ineffective, it's actually made a huge difference in my life. But it does cost money to take full advantage of this so I put it down the bottom. Still there's a lot to be said for using an AI scheduler. I hate choosing what to do and have always preferred to be told what tasks I should do each day. It also takes a huge amount of mental energy to decide what tasks I should do when each week and organise them in advance.
Enter Reclaim, the AI scheduler of my dreams (there are lots of other ones on the market too like Motion! Take a look around and see if you can find one you like but unfortunately they all seem paid). Reclaim does have a free version but for me their paid version is necessary to achieve my goals.
I set up all my tasks and habits in Reclaim, I can customise how often I want to do things, how long they should take, and what hours I have free. Then I just check my calendar each day and see what tasks I'm meant to do. If I end up taking more time than expected I just hit the 'reschedule' button on a task and it's automatically slotted in somewhere else that week. This has definitely made one of the biggest changes to my quality of life I could probably make a whole separate post about using Reclaim.
That's all the tips that have worked for me this year so far, maybe some of them might help you!

do you have any tips/resources for a beginner who wants to get into weightlifting?
thank you for asking!! I love this question. I love lifting! It's Good For You (helps increase bone density & metabolic rate, and it's good for injury prevention and developing functional strength). It's also a really great confidence boost. 10/10 would rec lifting to every single person reading this — if it's an option for you, give it a try.
TLDR: familarise yourself with common exercises. pick a beginner program. follow it. profit!
A more involved answer, with resources and details, is under the cut
familiarise yourself with common exercises
There are hundreds of possible exercises out there to target each specific body part. However, most of those are what's called "accessory" movements, as opposed to "basic" exercises that will pop up over and over in most lifting routines. Ideally, you want to know how to perform these movements, using light weights or just your bodyweight until you feel comfortable with it.
CORE BRACING (ft deadbugs. genuinely lifechanging skill!)
Squats.
Hip hinge. This is useful for deadlifts, romanian deadlifts, kettlebell swings & similar movements
Push movements (for example: dumbell chest press, shoulder press etc)
Pull movements (dumbell rows & many others)
That said. Please don't stress too much over "good form". Each exercise has infinite variations and especially as a beginner, you won't be lifting heavy enough weights to make form optimisation a big concern. All bodies are different and our individual stances vary a lot depending on body proportions, flexibility levels etc. You just want to know HOW an exercise is supposed to be performed, in terms of: which muscles it activates? what am I supposed to get out of it? how to do it safely? Your bodyweight squat doesn't have to be flawless, it just has to be good enough.
BTW, you know when I said that there are hundreds of possible exercises out there? Here is a very detailed masterlist + exercise guide for exercises impacting each muscle group.
learn your way around a weight room, if you aren't familiar with it already.
Broadly speaking: the free weights (bar, dumbells, kettlebells) are good for compound exercises that involve multiple muscle groups. The various machines are ideal for "isolation" exercises that target fewer specific muscle groups.
If you already know what's what, then skip this bit! But I've talked to many people who feel a bit intimidated by the weight room because they feel out of place in it, and in my experience familiarising yourself with the general layout is a good way to take away that discomfort.
And, in case this is something you need to hear: you deserve to be there, you're not taking space, and most gymgoers just want to finish their workout and shower, and won't pay specific negative attention to you. Most gyms have a weight room manager or floor trainer, at least during some shifts, and they WILL be happy to help you. If you're someone who doesn't want to be bothered while exercising, just preventively introduce yourself, say you're new
pick a program
I highkey recommend following a pre-made program instead of just fucking about on your own. Here's why
programs are well-balanced in terms of volume and muscle groups, to ensure you don't overtrain one body part and leave other lagging
they have a built-in "progression scheme" that will allow you to move to a higher weight in an optimal way — basically, you'll see strength advantages sooner
they help navigate information overload. There is SO much information about fitness out there that acts as an entry barrier. Following a pre-made program really helps with that.
If you have a gym membership, you may have the option of one "free workout program" made by a trainer who works at the gym. If that's in the cards, I'd recommend going with that.
Otherwise, I strongly recommend the "programs rec guide" over at r/xxfitness, the female fitness subreddit (the name is 15 years old but it's a queer friendly, trans inclusive space). I haven't personally done any of those, but Meg Gallagher of Before the Barbell is very solid, and that's the one I'd suggest.
get ready for DOMS
Also known as delayed onset muscle soreness. It happens 1) when you go to the gym after a while or start exercising for the first time 2) when you train a different muscle group than usual 3) when you up the intensity of a workout.
Basically, you wake up in the morning and you go OUCH!! ACHEY. That's DOMS. It happens because your muscle fibres are suffering microtears and reknitting (stronker!!) and you will feel very stiff and possibly very swollen (muscles retain water).
It'll take a few days for it to go away. IT IS SAFE TO EXERCISE THROUGH DOMS; the only thing limiting you is if you're too achy to move effectively. I recommend eating something protein heavy (more on that below) and doing some gentle exercise to make it go away faster (walking, at home-stretches or yoga, swimming if it's an option, etc.)
You DON'T want to stay in bed the whole time, because that'll only make you more stiff and make it last longer. Note that "post exercise achiness" is something that WILL go away after the first couple of weeks or so, depending on your recovery (again, gentle exercise and/or going to the gym again when you're still a bit achey is actually preferred than being completely at rest until they're fully gone away). Long term, you're NOT supposed to feel high-level soreness after working out. "No pain no gain" is mostly bullshit.
evaluate your program!
I'm always saying this, but the best exercise is the one you actually stick with. If your exercise plan is dull or fills you with dread, it doesn't matter how good for you it supposedly is — ditch it. Give yourself a few weeks of whatever program you pick, then re-evaluate: what are your favourite exercises you've done so far? Which ones you don't like? What would you like to do? Programs can and should be modified according to your preferences, and it's a lot easier to customise something that works for YOU once you're a bit more familiar with everything. For example, maybe someone at your gym is doing kettlebell swings and you think it's cool and you'd rather do those instead of crunches for your abs. Why not. Just note down what's working and what isn't, and then re-evaluate (with gym trainers if that's an option, but also, I mean it, HMU whenever).
odds and ends!!
None of these things are a big deal, but they make your life easier:
Hydrate during a workout. If you're hydrated your body works better. You'll also probably sweat during your workout. Getting through 1L of water during a 1 hour / 1 hour and a half gym session is perfectly normal.
Warm up before lifting. Something like this for a general body warmup + lighter warm-up series before going up to the weight you actually want to lift. For example: if you're squatting the bar (20kg) I'd do one bodyweight squats series, and another series holding a 10kg kettlebell or dumbell. Cool down or stretch after!
Mobility work on a day off is a good idea, even if you're no longer suffering through soreness. This is my current go-to routine, I do it about 2x week.
If possible, eat protein the evening / day after a workout. Protein is great for building muscle, and you WILL see a noticeable difference in energy level and speed of recovery by upping your protein intake. Basically: if you usually eat lentils or fish twice a week, try to make one of those times your post-gym dinner.
(In general, as a beginner you WILL see results regardless, and you don't need to optimise nutrition or anything (not to mention, it can be overwhelming / complicated to deal with.) But if you're interested in the specifics of nutrition & exercise, HMU)
keep track of your workouts! I really recommend this; it can be very inspiring to have a backlog you can look at when you want to track your progress, and you want to establish a benchmark with yourself. It can be as simple as writing down gym days & numbers in your journal if you have one; personally I use the Strong app to save my routines, and every week when I log in new workouts I modify the values depending on what weight and # of reps I hit that week. For reference, this is what a week looks like on the Strong app for me
IF I'VE MISSED ANYTHING SHOOT ME AN ASK.

🟩 Kyle "Gaz" Garrick
Headcanons
🎖️ Personality & Habits
Calm Under Fire Gaz is the guy you want next to you in a crisis. He keeps his cool in firefights and knows how to prioritize in chaos. It's part of why Price trusted him early on.
Witty but Low-Key He has a sharp sense of humor, but it’s quiet and dry. He’ll deliver a one-liner with a straight face that has the whole squad laughing ten seconds later.
Loyal to a Fault Once you earn his trust, he’s ride or die. He’ll back you up without question—even if it means bending a few rules.
Observant He notices small details—body language, tech setup, terrain changes. He’s not flashy, but he’s always paying attention.
🕶️ Style & Interests
Modern Minimalist Gaz dresses clean and functional off-duty: black hoodie, joggers, good sneakers. Everything he owns is practical and comfortable.
Sneakerhead His guilty pleasure is high-end sneakers. He keeps them pristine—his prized pair never goes into the field.
Music Lover He’s big into grime, UK hip hop, and low-fi beats. Always has a playlist ready for workouts, missions, or just cleaning his gear.
🔫 Skills
Close Quarters Specialist Gaz is exceptional in tight, urban environments. He moves like he’s rehearsed every room entry a hundred times.
Tech Savvy Not a full-on hacker, but he’s skilled with recon drones, tactical comms, and electronic warfare tools. Laswell taught him a few tricks.
Underestimated Sharpshooter People don’t always expect it, but Gaz can hold his own with a sniper rifle if needed. He just doesn’t brag about it.
🛡️ Relationships
Price (Mentor/Father Figure) Their bond is deep. Price saw potential in Gaz early and brought him into the fold. Gaz respects him immensely—but isn’t afraid to call him out when needed.
Soap (Bro Energy) He and Soap have a dynamic like siblings—constant banter, trash talk, and backing each other up. They probably have a running kill count bet.
Ghost (Mutual Respect) Gaz doesn’t push Ghost to open up but quietly respects his boundaries. They have a solid, quiet trust built over missions—Ghost appreciates that Gaz doesn't pry.
Laswell (Professional Trust) He views Kate Laswell as someone who gets it—someone who knows what the job takes and respects the people doing it.
🧠 Mentality & Morals
Grounded Even as he rises through the ranks, Gaz doesn’t let it get to his head. He still checks in on rookies, still helps clean up after ops.
Strong Moral Compass He believes in doing the right thing—even if it means defying orders. But he’ll think before he acts. He’s not reckless—he’s principled.
Carries Loss Quietly He doesn’t talk about fallen teammates often, but he remembers every name. Sometimes you’ll find him alone after missions, just… sitting with it.
⚙️ Quirks
Carries a Lucky Coin A coin from his first deployment overseas. He keeps it tucked in a hidden pocket of his vest.
Clean-Freak With His Gear His kit is always organized. Soap once joked you could eat off his mags.
Absolutely Hates Cold Weather Despises snow missions. Will complain the whole time. Price tells him to “suck it up, princess.”
Terrible Liar Gaz can’t bluff to save his life. His face gives him away instantly unless he’s in mission mode.
Eats Like a Tank Fast metabolism from all the training—he’s always eating, especially high-protein snacks between drills or missions.
💬 Quotes (Headcanon Style)
“I’m not saying I’m the best, but I’m definitely not second.”
“No plan survives contact, but mine get close.”
“Let’s make it loud—quiet’s overrated today.”

How would you describe the body types of the RO's?
'Cause I get several ideas of my own.
Ash: Solid. Wide shoulders, strong arms. They'd have put in the work for a build that's more function over form, yet retains the curves that draws people's attention. Really, put them in a tanktop and passers-by are going to have neck problems from the double takes they do.
Rin: Svelte. Shortest of the bunch, could pull a Marilyn Monroe and wear a potato sack and make it look stunning. A slight build without clear muscle definition. Maybe most visible if they dance or do high-level yoga.
Santana: "Average" if thin leaning. They're overworked, overstressed and overcaffeinated. Whilst they might not necessarily look unhealthy, a good meal more regularly would work miracles.
Skylar: Pick basically any comicbook superhero character from DC or Marvel of the lean and defined variety and you'll have a decent approximation of how they look. Maybe how most Spider-Folk look or if you average'd the Bat-family.
Anything on or off the mark? Maybe got any references of your own?
Love the story, btw. Hope to see more soon, the barfight was a hoot-and-a-half.
You're not that far off actually 🤔 I'm not really the best in describing body types, but I'll try my best 😅
Ash
I like to imagine Ash body built like an MMA fighter, lean and athletic and not too overtly muscular like a bodybuilder. Their muscles are built for practical uses, not to show off.
Rin
You're pretty spot on for Rin. They are slender and elegant/graceful and don't really have clear muscle definition. The prime example of prioritizing their mind and charisma over physical stuff and combat. But yeah, they'd slay anything they wear, undoubtedly.
Santana
To me, Santana is just average overall. Not too slender, but not to the point of skinny where they don't really have muscles. They do have some muscles to a degree (they are a cop after all, and had to pass like police academy beforehand), but certainly not like Ash and Skyar. They don't really go to gym nor do they spar to maintain them. They're also not too plump or chubby as well, because of their less than ideal lifestyle. They're just... average.
Skylar
Picture a fitness model, that's pretty much how Skylar's build (but not the really muscular ones mind you 😂). They are still lean and athletic, but unlike Ash, their muscles are definitely more... defined? Like, Male Skylar definitely has pretty well-defined six-packs and pecs.
They do workout in the Agency's gym regularly and supplemented with some sparring with other superheroes for more practical training. As a superhero, they gotta appeal to the masses while also still be able to hold themself in a fight.

Gyms for Sims | CC-Free Sims 2 Community Lots | Create-a-Town
These two different community gym lots are built and decorated in a similar style but their exteriors are painted to look different.
Puns and cute plays on words are a notorious part of the Sims games, and because I have a few playfulness points, I’ve tried to have these lots follow in that legacy with their names.
First up is the small “Gym-in-a-Box”, named for not only its more boxy shape, but also the shape of the lot (2x2).

This little gym is 3 stories tall and provides your sims with lots of options for exercising, or soothing their over-worked muscles.
You will need to download the Maxis Lost and Found Fixed CAS Window to get it to look exactly like the pictures. The window is not included in this download. Since this is an object that came with the game, but was hidden, I don’t really consider it CC, however, if you do please feel free to replace the 3rd story windows with the regular High-Tech Loft Window that is visible on the front of the building (also on the 3rd story) above the front doors.

This lot comes lightly furnished and would most likely benefit from some added décor should you desire to do that. It should be functional without any extra fussing though.
Alright, let’s see what you’re getting with this small but serious gym:
1st Floor From top-left: Hot-Tub, Vending machines, bathrooms, entry area (with “healthy” meal options [regular grocery freezers]), main workout space, side-entry.

2nd Floor From top-left: weight room, vending machines, bathrooms, the rest of the floor is open to first story.

3rd Floor From top-left: ballet studio, bathroom, sports massage studio (could also be a physical therapy office).

CC-Free, but all EPs and SPs are required.
Don’t forget to grab the Maxis/EA “Lost and Found” CAS Window Fixed if you do not already have them in your game.
I’ve run this lot through the Lot Compressor so any random references to sims that aren’t there should be removed. I have also run it through the Lot Cleaner to remove any bits of buggy code. This lot comes with a shiny custom thumbnail so it has even more curb appeal in your Lots and Houses bin! 😄
I ALWAYS recommend using the Sims 2 Pack Clean installer to install lot files.
The link for this lot will be at the bottom of the post. Keep scrolling. 😊
Next up, it’s The Slim Gym, so named because of the lot shape (5x2) it is built on.

This lot is fairly sizable so if your computer is good enough you should be able to have your sims enjoy exercising with a plethora of not-so-fresh-smelling patrons. What could be more fun? 😂

You will need to have the Maxis Lost and Found Fixed CAS Window installed to get it to look exactly like the pictures. That window is not included in this download. Since this is an object that came with the game, but was hidden, I don’t really consider it CC, however, if you do, please feel free to replace the 3rd story windows in the black corrugated siding section with the regular High-Tech Loft Window.
I realized after packaging this lot that I also have the Freetime pre-order bonus poster hung in the ballet studio. It is included, but you do not have to install it if you use the Sims2Pack Clean installer. This is an original Maxis/EA object however, so you probably already have it in your game.
Let’s have a look at those spacious floorplans, shall we?
1st Floor From left: pool, shower and locker rooms, hot-tub, weight room, locker rooms and showers, vending machines, main floor bathrooms, treadmills, staff offices, or offices for personal trainers/nutritionists, and the entry area (with “healthy” meal options [regular grocery freezers]).

2nd Floor From left: open to floor below, upstairs sitting area above pool, small back patio area, ballet studio, sports massage/physical therapy office, bathrooms, vending machines and eating area, the rest is open to the floor below.

Since there is a bit more space in this building, I’ve taken a couple of pictures of how some of the rooms look. You’ll notice that the interior of this building is very similar to the first gym. Feel free to redecorate it if you like.
Weight room:

Treadmills:

Pool:

Now I need to design a “Just-Right Gym”. Not too big, not too small… 🤣
Gym-in-a-Box: MF | SFS
The Slim Gym: MF | SFS
Like the first gym, this lot is CC-Free, but all EPs and SPs are required.
Looking for lots to add some more interest to your town? Try these: Main Street Shops Across the Street The Next Street Over Around the Corner Further Down the Street Small Shopping Center

ok i know it can get into weird territory talking about drivers’ bodies so feel free to like. not. but i sometimes wonder for the sake of wondering how oscah would be built if he wasn’t racing in f1. the slightly meatier version. or if he was just kind of. regular guy who also works out for functional fitness kinda thing. idk. would be hot in any way
tagging cw body image cus its potentially weird yes you're right. this is my bread and butter. my spinach an artichoke dip. hey. lets order apps for the table...apps for the table? anyone??
formula one drivers r so Specifically fucking restricted to twunk builds its like. Deeply unserious to me. got another ask about this so I'll try and actually answer w proficiency to that in a bit but rn.
hm.... just thinking about workout porn mmmmm..... there is something sooooo sexy about being pumped full of t and flexing and sweating an grunting and moaning about pushing ur body to its physical limit. right right. spotting that's a Little too close for comfort and Definitely more about getting a Whole Whiff of someones inner thighs and pits hey Hey... heyhheyhehyehy....
no ok locking back in. I wannttt I want to see Oscar who doesn't eat like a fuckin Victorias secret model So Dearly Badly. like a big thing about working out ur ass is that Actually having like a phat ass is less to do w muscle its about just having Fat On Your Ass. and Boy does he have the fucking bbl genetics to have an even fatter ass.
if he did actually work his glutes too like lower volume higher weight I think he wld actually be in like. Guy With Embarrassing Amount of Shelf territory. I mean hes alrdy nearing that and hes fs not repping his max yk so. idk. analyzing his ass potential man what the fuck am I doing. I also just think like. he has such the right build for a guy who could be soft around the edges but Really Reallllly fucking strong. like he could easily bulk upough kinda peak...
shaking my fist at the sky damn u sport that prioritizes high muscle mass low body fat dam you. I also lowk think it's so not that srs but that is me being a bitch and thinking these millionaires lives are so much more comfortable than they make it out to be. oh No. somebody makes me three protein rich meals a day woe is you bro. order the fuckin pizza you weirdo
that's to say. I really don't think a lot of the drivers are prioritizing muscle mass to bf ratio like they..Maybe Could... bc I think.. its really not that vital to performance.. ill put that tangent in the Thinkpost tho

I know the clones are supposed to be like. Carbon copies with very little room for variance (especially in the earlier generations), but I am having SO much fun playing with genetic wiggle room re: hair and eye pigmentation, and body types/builds between command and trooper class and specialties
Like. In addition to the voluntary changes like hair bleaching and/or dying, tattoos, and piercings, it all makes for such fun little markers of individuality
Some examples in clones I’ve already done:
Fox is going prematurely grey, has a pronounced amber gold eye color, and a STACKED upper body from anger induced workouts (he looks extra cut because he’s chronically dehydrated and doesn’t fucking eat)
Bacara is a hot mess from battle injury, including shock induced grey/white hair and corneal scarring that made a defined line in one iris, but he’s also built beefier like most command class by default. Would be a nightmare of an absolute unit if he had access to a solid caloric and protein intake. (GAR war rations are enough for functionality and efficiency but that’s about it)
Ashe is an earlier Gen, so at baseline he’s pretty close to template-standard outside of near-black eye color. He was cookie cutter perfect before Geonosis, it was afterwards when he started bucking the system in little ways like growing his hair beyond regulation
Toast got the grey eye pigment gene, but was mad jealous over not getting the blonde one too, thus the bleaching even though his natural is a very pretty brown vs the standard black. Softer in the face, but with a marked bridge deviation from a prior broken nose.
Lifeline pulled a hodgepodge of genes, from lighter brown hair with a loose wave curl pattern to hazel eyes and the propensity to freckles. Ashe and Toast are decently sturdy from ARC training, but Li is lean like a greyhound. Agility over strength
Rex’s eyes skew lighter to match his blonde gene, but not quite Toast’s grey and definitely not Echo’s pale gold. Probably keeps his hair shorn short to bring less attention to it, because a full head of tight blonde curls is a little too eye catching for comfort
#under a readmore because I went on a bit of a rant#anyways I’m having fun in this sandbox I can’t wait to do more
