I watched supernatural and fell in love with this tall handsome albeit cute shaggy haired beautiful pretty baby boy who has the brightest soul that can light up your darkest days and is as strong as a diamond. No matter how many other pieces of media I consume, he has my heart, brain, liver, kidney, intestines etc. No other character has ever appealed or mattered so much to me. They don't make men like Sam Winchester any more.

Yk, I hate that adaptations keep making Peter a high schooler, and not just because it means he never evolves, but because the adaptations now also include wider Marvel, whitch usually (thanks to the MCU) is at the modern day stage with legacy characters and new age teen heroes, meaning that Peter is taking up Miles' spot and you can really tell when they put him next to someone like Kamala Khan or Sam Alexander who are Miles' pals. Tho Peter taking Miles' stuff is just a modern issue overall, just look at MCU whitch just stole and re-skinned Miles' personality, characters, story-beats, even the costume to an extent and then made it worse.

for the first part of the movie this was just erik: 🥺😿

he was a tad bit fruity in this movie despite having a wife and child (WHO DIE AGAIN THEY CANNOT CATCH A BREAK)

if you looked hard enough he was flirting with that american agent BRO MOVES ON FAST

and then he was also definitely checking charles out while he played sport you cannot tell me otherwise

if you just changed charles to a girl idk what would’ve stopped the writers from making him the love interest

THEY RAN OUT A BAR GIGGLING AND HOLDING HANDS AFTER BEATING SOME PEOPLE UP WHAT IS THIS

they also worked together to stop a bunch of tanks and i think n*zi’s from invading the hospital charles was working at. They smiled at eachother while doing so wtf

at one point erik went to go meet up (and i think threaten) his ex-boyfriend who kinda betrayed him (american agent) and then proceeded to get arrested but then his current boyfriend came to save him

i kinda lost the plot during the last bit of this

they never really made clear WHY erik became magneto, for the most part of this movie he was more n*zi hunting then avenging his mutant heritage.

like the guy he was hunting down the whole movie did experiment on him cause he was a mutant and at the end he had captured other mutant kids and charles and erik went to go save them

but erik didn’t even interact or think about the mutant kids all he cared about was the scientist guy

it was charles who saved the mutants

just saying charles was pretty cool in this movie he wasn’t entirely limiting his telepathy

im pretty sure erik being a mutant was sidelined in this movie apart from him using his powers every so often

going back a bit but i remember erik saying he had to leave to charles and they were both kinda sad about it and then one the scientist’s lackeys or whatever came to attack erik (he failed) but he told erik they were blowing up the hospital

charles was smart enough to get everyone out before that happened but basically erik came running back and then told charles he was leaving AGAIN he just wanted to make sure pookie didn’t die

theres a lot more to this movie but this was basically what im just thinking about.

I cannot stress enough that Murderbot should look like the kind of video game NPC you would happily kill. It should look like the gijinka of something you lower your horns and charge from behind to knock off its feet for gems in Spyro.

Like one of several someones who get mowed down satisfyingly in a stairwell almost as an afterthought in a movie’s extended action sequence! A goon! A MOOK! what is this waif business

I may have some gripes about the overall story writing and pacing of fangs of fortune, but god the work they put into the depth and characterisation of each character is amazing for what it is. Given that it’s supposed to be in the shenmo genre and the story itself moves quickly with action, the fact that the writers added many scenes to flesh out the backstory and motivations of each character is commendable. It’s even more commendable that they do this while being restrained to 34 episodes, which is shorter than the standard cdrama (could have extended it to slow down the first 10 episodes but I digress). The dialogue in fangs of fortune is often one of the most expressive and beautiful, yet succinct I have seen in cdramas.

Noticed this improvised gem that I previously missed on a very recent rewatched of "From script to screen" on series 1 DVD (that's how I accidentally found out today's the 20-year anniversary of the scene).

It's probably bit of a cheap laugh but it cracked me up so hard and has been haunting me ever since

oh my god I know like it sounds weird to say this when it's just avatar but the original show has aang go back to the southern air temple to show katara and sokka his home only to find evidence of the genocide of his people and the loss of his loved ones and it's quiet until you see his grief and his rage but you just see the aftermath a hundred years later and the netflix adaptation makes it feel like they wanted it to be a cool action movie with an epic scene showing the fighting and running of the airbenders like that side by side with aang running away and it's like ??? okay it's "darker" congratulations I can see that's what the goal is based on the differences in firebending and early on screen deaths go and focus on every bit of violence for the audience's lazy sadistic pleasure instead of any of the characters personal narratives especially the women that can all be taken right out + the discovery of different places all over the world in the earth kingdom and outside of it. put everything in omashu so they don't get to meet people and see the diversity of the world and each town and SEE what life is like for them under war and have these experiences with all these people build up to something bigger at the end
