I know I've been Dick (Gumshoe) posting a lot recently and it's not particularly intentional but I have also been rotating him in my mind.

Most loyal man in the world enters an institution that seems to corrupt the morals of everyone who comes into contact with it. Is incredibly shit at his job. Swears he's a good detective despite repeatedly almost being fired. Comes back every time and gets mad because everyone he cares about keeps getting arrested. Does not connect this to the fact that he arrests the wrong people constantly and the only reason he gets in trouble for it is because unlike everyone else he works with, he isn't fiddling with the evidence to justify it.

His best friend is his boss who also keeps cutting his pay because as mentioned previously, he is shit at his job. He outlasts pretty much everyone else in AA because he is the only person not constantly getting caught up in convoluted murder schemes. Presumably this is because he's too busy painting animatronics to actually notice what is happening around him.

People claim like Toriel is too old for Sans or whatever but like, Sans is canonically like 36 years old, Toriel stopped aging when Asriel died and assuming Monsters fully mature at age 25 like humans and Asriel is 8-11 this means Toriel is 33-36.

That's a maximum of 3 years age difference, with Sans actually being the one who is "older".

eh, i think you're making a lot of assumptions that don't really have a basis in canon undertale lore. starting from the fact that we have no indication that monsters age at the same pace as human beings.

sans isn't "canonically" anything, though i do personally see him in the 32-35 age range, which can comfortably fit 1) a life "before" that he had to leave, 2) some life experience in STEM and 3) a period afterwards for that "i gave up trying to go back a long time ago" he mentions.

same thing for toriel. who knows! maybe her parents lived a long life and she kept growing older past age 25, say, in her late 30s as well, before having a child of her own. which considering the war and all she might have had when she was chronologically a lot older, and would push her physical age closer to her 40s/50s (i think asriel is 11-13, but once again, this is all baseless speculation)

in the end it's not the physical age difference that is the issue for those people, it's the mental age: lived experience, which in real life makes big age gaps dangerous because they can give one half of the couple a lot of power and leverage over the other. the thing is, the "riskiness" of an age gap doesn't just increase exponentially forever depending on how older one person is compared to the other. a 25 year old that is acclimated and comfortable in their life as an adult can go on to date a 78 year old for all they care, and there won't be any inherent power imbalance compared to, say, that same 25 year old and a 16 year old, despite there only being 9 years of age difference. so sans could be in his 30s and toriel could be in her 60s physically and millenia old chronologically, and it still wouldn't give her any substantial power over him lmao. anyone who complains is milfphobic ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Trump endorsed this wacko for the House of Representatives in 2022 and she won despite Roger Stone attempting to bring her down for reasons unknown. Perhaps she scorned him. She’s tight with Don Jr 🤢. Her father moved to Mexico from Germany and her mother moved there from the US but she was born in California. So she sort of has a weak claim to being Mexican. She also dubiously claims to be Jewish despite her relatives serving in the GERMAN army during WW II.

Anna worked in a Florida strip club and got attention from some photo shoots. She did a short stint in the Airforce as a “Airfield Management Specialist” which is basically a custodian. They keep the runway clean by picking up debris, change light bulbs on the runway, fill potholes, and other grunt work. She never served overseas, never saw combat, and never even carried a gun. She has again dubiously claimed differently.

She quickly joined the House Republicans in the No Freedom Caucus. She’s become a big advocate for helping Netanyahu demolish Gaza and joined BoBo the Clown in getting heckled at George Washington University’s campus protest. Floriduh will probably keep her in Congress for life.

In case you haven’t noticed the oligarchs are going to great lengths to find photogenic women to run for office as Republicans. The 90 yr old male Republican base that watches Faux News will always back these young women no matter how dumb, crazy, and unqualified they are.

Having a normal one about Knuckles and Shadow today 😔

One day I'm gonna wake up and they're gonna realise how interesting and compatible their dynamic is. Quit the unceremonious elimination of Knuckles so Shadow can get to Sonic quicker, USE HIM.

Use the similarities in their devotion to their duty, their competitiveness, mixing Knuckles' explosive but tempered willpower with Shadow's calculated but unrelenting drive, the mutual respect for one another, the acknowledgement that they are both unique in their origins and have taken up an incredibly burdensome mantle.

However it takes shape, I'm begging them to use it more. Stop wiping out the guy who punched Sonic out of his Super state with a single flick of the wrist.

i just wanna unpack some of my thoughts on just how much of a fraud ozai is. like on a scheming level i guess you could call him clever but considering how things are usually done and earned in fire nation politics with honor in mind i think its safe to say ozai is first in line on death row for fraudwatch.

first id like to say its funny that ozai slimed around azulon for the right to the throne after lu ten died. like instead of challenging iroh to an agni kai once he picked himself back up. he probably knew that despite how pathetic he finds iroh to be that he isnt on par with irohs prowess and savagery when it comes to bending.

(and a side note to piggy back off that, isnt it weird how quick ozai jumped to ask azulon about the heir things after lu ten was killed? i find that highly suspect. if bryke told us right now that ozai somehow someway had something to do with it id be so unsurprised. like oh im sure he did. thats how fraudulent he is.)

and then he only gets the throne because of ursas help. and ursa only did that shit for zuko mind you. and then he jumps at the first opportunity to kick zuko out of the picture with an agni kai. he didnt wanna challenge iroh for the throne with an agni kai, but suddenly when his small 13 year old son whos voice hasnt even dropped yet cusses a general out at a meeting for wanting to sacrifice a small but whole chunk of the army then suddenly an agni kai is literally the only solution. isnt that hilarious? i find that hilarious.
