Galadriel’s Monster
Fourth Age: The Return From The Void
The Fourth Age has come. The Middle-earth belongs to the Men now. Everybody - the Elves and the Ainur livepeacefully in Valinor... well - almost everybody.
Galadriel, tarnished by nightmares about her once-foe, seeks council with the mighty Valar, hoping to get a remedy for her millennia-long anguish.
She secretly knows it's about the closure - she might be at peace with Sauron 's banishment... but what about the "Man" Halbrand ?
The Valar, to Galadriel's horror, decide to bring Mairon back from the Void and make her his guardian. However, there is a condition - neither Artanis nor Mairon cannot set foot in Valinor until she determines the Maia is ready to start his atonement among the Valinorean Folk.
To the mighty Ainur - this is an experiment. To the Elven Queen - this is a very bad idea... until it isn't 👀
Will they ever come back from the South Lands of Aman?
Will Silver Clam ever forgive her for leaving him and not asking him to join her? Why is the Maia in a coma? And why his form is that of Halbrand?
Who knows... Who cares... as long “things happens” 👀
———
By the way, belated Happy Frankenstein Day and Mary Shelley Birthday!

and for the final part in our Frankenstein Day celebration: we have Victor finds Gerhardt and almost follows his father's words but decides not to. Gerhardt has some recognition to know he did something horrible but still his brother vows to help him. my headcanon is that tower was where the boys played as kids. as for Ruby in this one ooo! Snow was so sure she'd find Victor. I think not only could she smell the alcohol but she knew his scent too. we've seen little glimpses or lines to show they've begun a bond offscreen that we didn't see, as proven in my previous posts lol. I also have an entire theory of how she was the wolf by the Storybrooke sign (she proves even with the curse in 1x15 she still had wolf hearing) in which we later learn Victor has a house in the woods. and c'mon, they were all stuck there 28yrs, he would've been in the diner all the time. despite his flirting it was clear Victor had eyes for Ruby and no matter what happened later I fully believe they had a relationship and she'd eventually help him find Gerhardt. and as we see they really understood each other. so "Monster" was then turned into an affectionate term for them <3. and love the subtle glances between them gahh! even though we only had 1 other submission I've really enjoyed doing this countdown this month and hope you all did. I plan on doing it again next year - maybe with an AU theme? as well as clips I left out to gif next year. if you couldn't tell I ADORE these three people! lol

i think if lisa asked the creature if he’d still love her if she was a worm he’d do that cat hacking up a hairball move again and give her an actual worm and she’d think it was the most romantic thing ever

Happy Frankenstein day!
Mary Shelley, author of "Frankenstein, or the Modern Prometheus", which was first published in 1818, was born on this day in 1797 🥳
I don't really want to post my art directly to this Tumblr, but I'm still deciding what my first post should be on my art blog, so I decided to just post it here just this once.
I am currently reading the 1831 updated version of the novel for the first time, after a year and a half of searching for the "right copy" (a decent-looking hardcover copy that wasn't insanely priced!).
I drew this over the last few days, using graphite and Aquarelle pencils 🫀
I did my best to copy her signature for her name at the bottom ✏️

in part 3 of the official Frankenstein Day we have when Gerhardt becomes the monster and Victor is now The Doctor! 2x12 gifs will be broken into a few posts today since there's so many. (a little out of order lol) the scarred hand moment was amazing!! though I was a little disappointed we only got to see part of the amazing makeup job in these scenes. thankfully Chad posted a full photo of it lol. Chad said in an interview there was supposed to be a hug between Gerhardt & Victor when he woke up but it was cut. didn't say why but my guess is 'cause he showed recognizing his brother later on? I still believe Gerhardt attacked the father only to protect Victor after seeing their father belittle him again. and the hurt at being called a monster. Victor definitely didn't care to stop him but he didn't order him to kill. also Chad tweeted the noises he made were made up on the spot with the director and flow of the scene. I think my favorite scene with the brothers was when Victor first led Gerhardt into the room & they just kinda lit up in joy at working together :) I do have a fic based on this scene and beyond here
