Music arrangements!

Thought I'd post two song arrangements I made in beepbox on here. The first one is The Moon theme from the Ducktales game and the other is Toad Town from Paper Mario: The Origami King. Both are for wind quintet, but have slightly different instrumentations, listed below.

If you play any of these instruments please give instrument specific feedback, specifically about range if you could, or any general feedback is appreciated, positive or negative!

Blue is flute

Yellow is oboe (seriously no yellow text?)

Redish Orange is clarinet

Green is bassoon in the The Moon and French Horn in Toad Town

i visited the library today!!

UNFORTUNATELY my mother forgot her library card so i wasn't able to check out anything.

FORTUNATELY there was a box of free shit right outside, and i took a book called Atomic Anna. it somehow involves nuclear science.

i haven't immersed myself in a new book for...quite a while, so i'll definitely make reference to it in some later posts.

having read about nuclear tests before, i can't help but remember even the smaller things the u.s. has gotten away with...

in the 1954 castle bravo bomb test, a 15-megaton nuclear weapon detonated on an atoll in the marshall islands.

there was an enormous fallout, leading to severe radiation sickness for the marshallese people and a crew of japanese fishermen.

even in "weak" forms, nuclear weapons truly terrify me.

the fact that only a handful of privileged countries control weapons of mass destruction should terrify everyone...

i'll end today's post with my acknowledgement and thanks to two anti-nuclear activists i learned about today:

i've been working on this painting for over 3 months and i am exhausted 💀 so excited to be done with it. i'm really proud of it though!! it's definitely the most detailed painting i've done in quite some time.

Yes yes I agree that if Percy should've remembered anyone it should've been Sally, but please, please, please understand that a) Hera was actively fucking with his memories, it's not that Annabeth was who he remembered, it was that Annabeth was who Hera wanted him to remember and b) the reason was because Annabeth has ties to California!! And Hera needed Percy to go there. If Percy remembered anyone else, he would've been headed straight for NYC and her whole "switch the boys" thing wouldn't have worked.

Yeah, part of the Wolf House training is making the journey from the Wolf House to Camp Jupiter but Percy isn't headed there because that's the plan, he's headed there because his memories tell him that Annabeth is connected to it. If his memories said "your mom is in New York", he would've said fuck the plan and walked in the opposite direction of where he was supposed to go.
