Anyways as I had previously mentioned about me going insane, Behold!

As I sorta lowkey mentioned in the posts about my new, properly compiled teeth, I wanted to give them to everyone and here it is! Or at least the first bit anyway.

Now this is my first REAL mod so do note:

Original shape data is technically not intact but vanilla customization does appear entirely unaffected. So your head wont be broken!

Doesn't play nice with sculpts ofc

Male Elezen using mouth 3 on any head will likely notice clipping despite repeated attempts to prevent this. I will try fixing it again at a later date

Lineup of all of the characters that appear long enough to need a visual representation of them in the game lol

#I added a few people that you can randomly run into around town (like at the inn or in the forest or etc) and have very short conversations #with just to kind of flesh out the world a little more in a more natural-ish seeming way. Like nobody in the main cast would really #have much reason to talk about the actual city you're in or anything. Since most of them havent lived there that long anyway.#But if there's a ''city inspector'' that you can run into whilst he's writing up notes examining the local inn. then maybe there could be a #few dialogue options with him where you can ask about things like that. since he would know more about the area as an offical Government #Worker or etc. Optional of course. since I have to be so wary of my natural inclination to lore dump lol and am trying extra hard to make i #all stuff thats easily avoided/skipped. But for the people like ME who deliberately choose to exhaust every possible optional dialogue #option and explore every single inch of the world and try to collect as much information as possible - then there are a few extra places to #do that. Though obviously not all of them just give exposition for like 15 paragraphs blandly. Some you don't really learn anything from #and it's kind of just.. random flavor to make the non-shop map locations more ''lived in'' feeling. Like the random #little girl you can talk to in the park doesn't bizarrely start reading out the wikipedia description of some War that happened 10 years ag #or whatever. she's just complains about school a little and asks if you've tried the nearby ice cream cart treats and etc lol #ANYWAY..#some of the art is so so evil but I'm not going to spend 800 years trying to clean it up and update it. whatever the hell mess I sketched #out in 2018 or whatever is just what I'm keeping lol... it is what it is #One of the many trials of the whole 'briefly work a few months on something and then abandon it almost entirely only to pick up work #on it literally like 4 - 5 yrs later and now you must contend with trying to decipher whatever weird shit you did years ago' experience lol #Also given the population breakdowns of the world in general I think there's an unrealistic amount of jhevona in this lineup since #they're a much rarer species to just see out and about anywhere but.. it IS a global trading center type area. and the game #takes place in the north (the country of Asen. near the coast. for the maybe 2 or less people who actually keep up with my worldbuilding #enough to know where that is lol (the same continent as Navyete (where the avirre'thel live)) and there's a decent concentration #of nothern jhevona only a short ways away so... tee hee..I shall pretend it makes sense and not merely me just wanting #to represent more of that species because I think their lore is interesting lol #I MEAN also realistically there would NOT be a human here because humans are extremely isolated species that don't even know the rest #of the world exists really and human territories are extremely protected from the outside world but... of course it's like.. well we need #at least One of them to be there for the Optional Lore. Same with the Ythrili. But at least those are like.. PLAUSIBLE.. not nonsensically #outlandish. If I had a Verrucalt or something in there THEN that would be truly lore-breaking almost lol #ANYWAY.. rambling that only means anything to me because nobody else knows what I'm even referencing but hbjh #also I think my character designs are so funny in the sense that I really do just love to do the same thing over and over again ghbjh #wow... random asymmetry and belts and arm straps and high collars where the neck is completely covered?? you dont say..how novel

Close to my grandma's age when she had my dad literally wtf

#mel's musings #half of my twenties are over thank god #and i'm the sister iris age now!!!!! which of course i planned for. i have nails for the occasion <3 #might treat myself later by looking through her tag(s) a little bit #and i need to listen to some handel arias too. we share a birthday funnily enough #if i was REALLY feeling frisky i'd pull out my old scores and practice some but i already spent the whole morning belting mamma mia #so i'm a bit sung out. but rest assured i WILL be getting back into my classical repertoire eventually #it's been several months and i really miss doing it. can't wait to get my license so i can do voice lessons again

I don't have time for people who don't have time for me

#yes yes i know adult life leaves little room for spending time with people who you care about & even if we have time we're burnt out #but my whole adult life has been white-knuckled clinging to relationships or people that barely if ever send that energy back #as soon as theyre onto the next person that will entertain them. as soon as theyve found something to fill the time that i usually take up #as soon as theyve gotten all they wanted from me emotionally. as soon as its inconvient to see me. almost as soon as theyre bored #then suddenly its me waiting for a text. waiting for a day to hang out. hearing over and over again that yet another thing is more importan #than me. and i get it. life happens. schools important. work is important. rest is important. but at the point im at in my life #im looking for people who actually make an effort not just give months and months of excuses as to why they suddenly cant hang out #im a pushover. im easy-going. im a very understanding person. i get it bc theres also very few days per week that im free to socialize #but i cant keep letting myself act subservient to everyone else in my life. i always put my friends & potential friends so high on pedestal #i treat them & their time as precious. now i refuse to let someone do anything but the same for me. my time/energy/love is just as precious #i dont deserve only a text when you need something from me or just to act as a treat to tide me over until the next transgression #and i certainly am NOT going to be the person that you can stand-up and then expect to still answer your text. not anymore.#in prioritizing my mental health lately ive realized that this pattern HAS TO STOP. i cant allow myself to continue the same harmful cycles #i deserve better. i need better. i WANT BETTER #emma vents #vent tag #healing tag

currently luz only has a handful of glyph combos—invisibility, the sleeping steam spell she did with hunter, the hover spell, and the combos she got from phillip’s journal. i guess she kind of knows phillip’s teleportation glyph? anyway i’m surprised no one has said anything about trying to make a healing glyph? even if luz doesn’t know how to make one, you’d think she’d at least consider looking into it. healing magic is like. one of the basic things plucky fantasy adventurers need and luz is trope savvy enough to know that.

also it fits with her background. her mom is a vet and literally “heals” animals for a living. growing up with a parent like that, luz would have some interest or at least knowledge in medicine that she’d reasonably connect to magic. once she found out she can make glyph combos one of her first thoughts should have been “cool wonder if i can make a healing spell with that since i keep getting myself into danger.” the healing glyph definitely would have come in handy in the most recent episode where hunter almost died lol.

anyway if they never brought it up i dont think they’ll do anything special with healing glyphs. luz can’t discover every glyph combo for every spell in existence within the show. the fact that she’s “only” learned like 7-8 combos in all of season 2 and only discovered like 3 without phillip, shows how hard it is to discover these things. even if luz is considered to be “fast” at learning glyph magic. healing spells are just such an important part of the repertoire in classical fantasy, so i’m surprised that they barely mentioned it in the show.

#toh #the owl house #luz noceda #shut up pandora #this is because i saw her shirt with the staff of asclepius on it #which is a symbol for doctors and healing #its from her moms vet clinic but it made me think of the possibility of luz as a healer of some sorts in her adventures #obviously thats not her main role but the hexsquad doesn't really have a healer #unless you count hunter supposed first aid skills from the emperors coven #what would be cool is if the rest of luz's friends help her combine glyphs and make a healing glyph #and based on how luz is doing suicidal ideation now #and judging from her shadow in the basement scene in thanks to them #and the pattern of one of luz's owl family members sacrificing themselves to save her every finale #i predict luz is gonna get marcy wu'd while trying to save king and eda or her friends #and obviously she cant die bc shes the plucky teenage protagonist of a tv y7 disney show #so her friends use the healing glyph they came up together to heal whatever fatal wound luz gets #luz is quite literally healed with the power of friendship #weve seen everyone in the hexsquad but willow use glyphs after all #speaking of which willow still needs to have a scene where she uses glyphs i know her plant magic is strong but girl needs to expand #do a little wild magic as a treat connect with the rest of her friends by using glyphs #next episode i want willow to try her hand at using some glyphs #and in episode 3 i want luz to get horribly injured in the self sacrifice she'll inevitably try to pull #and her friends will come through and save her with the magic of friendship and whatnot #idk just a cool idea

I appreciate those posts about how getting out of abusive places is hard but ultimately really freeing, and opening yourself up for like genuine kind connection, like that is true, my life is indescribably happier and safer now. But also holy shit. I want so much more, I’m exhausted. I’d give anything to have a place to run back to or some kind of older figure to tell me I’m doing good and I can rely on them if I need it yknow? I’m scratching at reparenting and trying to be kind to myself but it’s hard when I really am all I’ve got out here.

Thinking about this post about how too many yanli lives AUs don't really change anything about canon and in general seem to be more about giving wwx his shijie back than actually exploring yanli's character and the radical impact her being alive would have on other characters. And this post about how, if you're gonna make yanli gay, you should go all the way and ship her with the female character she is canonically the closest to... her mother in law madam jin. And a truly truly cursed AU is taking shape inside my mind.

man they cancelled my dentist appointment AGAIN how i wish i had money to not depend on these free health care pieces of shit
