Send εїз for an unimplemented HC!

So this one's gonna be kind of long, apologies ahead of time- XD

Despite her rough life, Sera has kind of always known there's more to her than even she can understand - And this is a feeling that only grows once she's finally able to settle down with Zack into a calmer, more peaceful life, and learns how to cope and face the things that've happened to her. The more she finds ways to cope and finally have the life she's craved and deserved, the more it feels like she's standing on a frozen lake; there's so much more under the surface, so much more to her, and yet she can't access any of it past the occasional tap on the ice and a temporary, slight bubbling up of the cold water underneath. So, so much more... Something, but she's never understood what, no matter how much she tries to find the answers to 'what makes Seraphina Fair tick?' - A question that comes up especially often in her FF7 canon, when she realizes the materia she picked up on her way to Gongaga is a summon materia for Shiva, eventually gaining the use of her aid and power, albeit at the cost of her own energy and needing serious bedrest after.

This question of what makes her 'tick' and what lies under that frozen over lake is now the same in every verse: Because Sera holds the power of one of many elemental phoenixes - In this case, the Snow Phoenix.

There's lore I wrote up a very, VERY long time ago (and need to rewrite and fine tune, now XD) for another OC of mine whose bloodline is descended from a phoenix - Essentially, the phoenix lived in in an era where gods walked the planet freely and many gained a following, with the phoenix especially enjoying a temple and a fair number of worshipers. But as humans do, war eventually broke out, and the phoenix himself was targeted for his feathers under the false claim they would give the power of rebirth and the inability to fall in battle, causing his temples to be overrun in the people's bid to get their hands on them.

The phoenix stood tall and protected his temple and the priests and priestesses within it, eventually taking human form to fight beside them, and at the end of the war, began a bloodline with his most trusted priestess that eventually, many hundreds, probably thousands of years later, to my other OC - Who, for multiple reasons, thought she was the last of the phoenixes despite being only a halfbreed.

Expanded lore I've been working on, however, adds more phoenixes; the original was a solely fire-based creature, while the others that existed among the world were of other elements - Ice, lighting, water... The original 'myth' had been passed down among the people of a pretty remote village, and the myth/legend had inevitably changed over time, like playing a game of telephone, until all mentions of other phoenixes and gods ceased to exist within it. Nobody knows there's others - But even so, Sera herself inherited the defensive, healing powers of the Snow Phoenix, while her older brother Thoma inherited some of the fire phoenix's power - Two phoenixes who were originally siblings, now echoed in Sera and her brother, linked closely together just the same as the originals.

However, despite Sera embodying the Snow Phoenix in just about every way - defensive and protective in nature, rose from her 'ashes' to keep moving forward (multiple times over her life, actually, this girl SHOULD have died several times over and managed to survive), an affinity for ice magic/abilities, ranged fighting, a healer, hiding in the form of a snow leopard/human/snow fox, etc., that's all for another post and not this one which is already longer than I intended it to be - she isn't strong enough to use it, at least not in full. The circumstances of her life/lives have made it so that while she HAS the power within her, she's too physically weak to access it, and using it in full would more than likely kill her - Though she can access incredibly tiny fractions of it when she desperately needs it, or with the aid of Zack and Thoma, her soulmate and the single blood relative/member of her birth family she has left she's super close to.

This lore also fits into just about everything I have running for her; reincarnation and rebirth is a thing across all my blogs (every verse and AU is another lifetime for the muse, with them all being connected in the end by being the same person reborn into a new life with the same soul, changed only by the timeframe and circumstances they're born into, otherwise the exact same person), and the snow phoenix follows her through all of them. In GI, it's an old power caught up in the rebirth cycle, in FF7 it was a familiar of Shiva she aided into gaining human form - Nothing like an ancient in any form, but a being connected to the goddess and the elements (who still needs materia even with her innate abilities), and so on.

This... This isn't implemented YET because I need to figure out how to rewrite the phoenix myth and organically insert it into Sera's stuff, but this is... This is just Sera. This is my girl, and it's taken me over a decade to FINALLY figure out this is what she's had lingering within her, even though I've known there's something there for a looooong time. I want to make SURE it makes sense and doesn't step on toes when I add it in, or buck anything in canon lores for any of the verses, and I really want it to work out - And since Sera is inherently fandomless/multifandom at her core, it should be easy enough to do that?

But also I've been rambling for FOREVER here so I'll cut this one here XD I'm just?? So excited to finally know what's going on with Sera in more detail, and I have SO MUCH MORE I'm working on on top of this! <3

Julian/Martok prison sex is established -> The DS9 changeling asks to be fed a specific bit of info about Julian -> Interrogation has historically been unsuccessful -> -> -> A changeling based at 371 impersonates Martok to casually get the info out of Julian (after fucking him senseless ofc)

(Addtional thought: the DS9 changeling - during its presumed many-months of observing Julian - at one point took the form of a random person at Quark's and to score a one-night-stand with Julian after his break-up with Leeta. Much data was gathered.)

you know what, I think I've worked out why I'm cool with some folks hating a character I like, or liking a character I hate, or liking hating a ship I like/hate etc and I think it's HOW they approach it

Is their beef with the character/ship? or have they made it about the people who like/hate the character/ship?

like "I hate Bungles, he's such a CREEP" as apposed to "everyone who likes Bungles is a ding dong and clearly has terrible taste in partners b/c they like BUNGLES like come ON who likes BUNGLES?? MORONS??"

It's the turning it into a moral thing, the "ooh I'm better b/c I hate Bungles" thing I think that ticks me off. Going after real life ppl b/c you hate (or like!) a fictional character so much "Anyone who hates Bungles should DIE" like oof, no thanks. Turning into a purity/clout/moralistic war where you attack features and traits of folks is I think where I draw the line.

Otherwise, I think I've grown into being able to be fine with ppl hating my favs/liking my hates, even if I might not connect on every point. Now THAT'S something we can agree to disagree on XD (and not like "I don't agree you're trans" or other shit things ppl try to use that phrase for lol)

I had completely forgotten that it was in Nan Elmoth that Thingol and Melian met, and that Thingol explicitly suffered an enchantment after wandering in, and that the enchantment still lay upon the forest when Aredhel entered it, years later; and it probably lasted until the breaking of Beleriand at the end of the First Age...

And now I'm entertaining a headcanon that the forest is Beleriand's Bermuda Triangle -- Thingol and Aredhel are the most notable missing person cases, yes, but there are many others who have gone into the forest or even just strayed too close to its borders and allegedly have never been seen again; travelers and merchants and hunters, all disappearing. It gains the reputation of being haunted or cursed (not in the horror-and-madness-walked terror of Dungortheb kind of way, but more in a less severe, urban legend kind of way); a bedtime story to frighten children; just enough for the more superstitious folk to willingly add a day or two to their journeys to avoid it, just in case, but not enough for the more pragmatically-minded to resist scoffing at the notion and thinking it absurd, leading to many arguments. Perhaps it becomes a favorite spot for dares among the younger elves, challenging each other to spend a night under the shadow of its trees Eol having to chase all these damn elflings that have started appearing off of his lawn, grandma-style

And even after Beleriand sinks under the waves, the rumors persist that there is an area upon the sea -- many days out and almost a direct shot westwards from the northernmost reaches of the Ered Luin -- where ships simply vanish. And if sailors of those vessels ever do reappear, drifting into port on wood that should be long-rotted or suddenly, inexplicably, finding themselves standing behind a market stall or sitting on an inn stool, they do so with no memory of what occurred; only the haziest dream-like recollection of deep twilight and birdsong.

hello yall im back on my bs (biscuit soliloquy) with my wonderful oc jazzy and a modern au i came up with when i opened my eyes this morning lol. u can find a little lore on ma blog under the #jazzy tag :3

aight so for context a few months ago while deep in the trenches of my greek mythology obsession i made a minor underworld diety oc who goes by kore or jazzy. shes my favourite muffin and i love her.

and after reading one too many apollo fics here lmao i really wanted to explore his domains (which i find endlessly fascinating bc its all my favourite things in one: medicine art literature) and learn more about him as a god via a character study of sorts.

(ive yet to write anything for them lol but when i do it will be great :P)

apollo has heterochromia :3 dunno if u can see it but his eyes are olive green (right) and a teal (left). representing the suns reach over land and sea. ALSO FRECKLES >:D

my girl jazzy has the most boring brown eyes ever. no pools of honey or flecks of gold. just good ol dirt brown. *foreshadowing*

short curly hair somewhere between brown and black for her, and floofy kraft singles waves for him XD

jazzy is a knitwear gremlin (like urs truly lol), 24/7 turtlenecks cardigans jumpers scarfs all of it. her hands (and extremeties) are always cold bc bad circulation and probably dehydration. shush

palettes are warm and earthy for jazzy (wow im so subtle) and cool celestial for apollo (and artemis hehe)

so thats mostly greens esp olive, brown and beige and a healthy sprinkle of rose. le aesthetic is forest/ gremlincore for my girl

and lots of blues esp navy and shiny silver and gold for chaotic academia sunshine boi (TIL astroacademia is a thing and like wow)

i wish i was joking lol it instantly gripped me but alas i had to go to uni and so it stayed on hold and i havent studied more that 3 pages bc im thinking about them

anyway yes we have apollo the girl dad of all time who has 9 wondeful daughters of varying ages from fist year of uni to toddler

apollo has 2 degrees bc its cool af to me (my dad has two masters and its been on my bucket list since. i dont know why i am the way that i am either) one in nursing and another in english literature (and a masters in translation bc i can)

he teaches english and history tho and the art afterschool clubs. yes clubs plural. i am insane and so is he.

jazzy is a biomed graduate and is currently pursuing a masters in forensic toxicology (sucks that i hade organic chem this would be fun to write) so she teaches bio. probably part time idk.

i will get to the details of lore and what theyre like and their work ethics etc but i is tired and id really like to finish some work before bed lol so goodnight for now and enjoy and feel free to ask stuff ig :3

Headcanons;

The scientist (Shard ((OC))) fully completed his experimentation on Darkfang, with a few mishaps. Not able to fully take his free will away. Making him harder to stay in line as a weapon for war.

Darkfang was sold as a merchandise to multiple mechs over the war, occasionally known to kill his owners. But due to his feral nature, and the added tracker on a chip inside his frame, is unable to escape fully.

He communicates via hisses and growls. + frame language. This is due to a broken voicebox.

His processors have glitched due to constant experimentation upon his frame. This makes him act more of a beast than a regular mech. Including, his frame language is more feral and aggressive.

Has shown signs of intelligence, by understanding the speech of others, and having moments of calm, observant moments.

Known to bite a lot, even those that has shown kindness to him.

Finally forcing the zip to close over the last few supplies she'd just purchased, the bespectacled girl let out a breath of satisfaction, slung the heavy bag over her shoulder--

And almost clobbered the girl who was exiting the shop behind her with it. Margo's hand flew to her mouth with a gasp.

"Oh, I'm so sorry--! Are you alright?"

As much as she was sure that Gru, in this position, would have just laughed and moved on... Margo didn't have it in herself not to care about the fellow kid who she'd almost knocked down.

(I'm ranking this without taking into consideration any partners or kids that would usually be sharing a character's space - for this, everyone's the singlest of pringles :P )

Sisko - He's respectful of your space, easy to get along with, and he loves to cook and feed anyone within touch range. 10/10 could not ask for a better roomie.

Ezri - Only downside is that it's possibly a bit awkward to get counselling... but she's great, a super lovely roommate.

Odo - He doesn't *want* a roommate, but if it's really necessary he'll put up with it... and avoid the room as much as possible. He'll probably organise your schedules so you can avoid each other too. Great if you want a roomie you never see.

Kira - She tries to be a good roommate - and most of the time she's great! - but isn't the best at compromising when she thinks she's right. (Also, while it's not her fault, she has awful nightmares, so when your shifts line up to sleep at the same time...)

Miles - He's fine. Your room has a tendency to get awfully cluttered with weird shit when you've been away on a mission for too long though...

Worf - Fine. He doesn't want to have a roommate and it shows. He's mostly respectful of your space, but exposure to Klingon Opera is a hazard of being in this room.

Julian - He really tries hard to be a good roommate, and he loves having a roommate!! Just... a bit too much... Whenever you're both in the room he wants to talk to you. Plus if he can't sleep he'll start doing weird research and muttering to himself until he remembers that he has a roommate now and should probably be quiet.

Jadzia - She's lovely, but not overly concerned about how good a roomie she is: honestly, she doesn't realise it, but she does have a tendency to think of it firstly as "her" room and secondarily as yours. If you pointed that out to her, she'd try and correct that though. And then there are the parties. (Honestly, if you love parties she's probably way higher up the list but I'm a grumpy old so-and-so who goes to bed before 9 most nights so anyone stopping me sleeping is automatically on my nope list :P)

Quark - The first honestly bad roommate. I can't help feeling he'd be loudly irrated at even having to have a roommate in the first place and then he would try to wheedle his way into getting you to give him oo-mox at least once a week and every little annoyance would have him demanding compensation in latinum and he'd milk his "sensitive hearing" for all it was worth on that count and no. I'm not dealing with him. I'll sleep in a jeffries tube instead.

Garak. Forget choosing to sleep in a jeffries tube - you'd be forced to upon returning to your quarters and finding yourself locked out because of all the extra security measures he's added without asking you. And even if forced to let you in, he doesn't want a roommate and is more than happy to use every passive aggressive move in the book to make you ask for a transfer. Or if that doesn't work, he'll be aggressively nice instead until the paranoia of if he's going to snap and assassinate you someday starts to drive you crazy. Don't get me wrong, Garak would make a wonderful friend... But roommate? Definitely not!

Man there's so much room for disagreement here though - I'd be super interested to hear anyone else's takes!!

I LIVE, BITCHES! Sorry for the EXTREME lack of activity on here lately. Holiday season has been rough, PLUS gaining a new hyperfixation, PLUS getting sick for Christmas (giving me even MORE free time to obsess over the new hyperfixation) ... it's been a lot. XD I'm pretty much always on Discord, though, so if we're moots and you miss me (for SOME reason LOL), you can always poke me there. Fun fact about me is that I was very, very, VERY invested in the Beastars universe back when Season 1 of the anime first came out. Like, to an INSANE degree. I even binge read the ENTIRE manga online (and my non-weeb ass NEVER reads manga) because I didn't have the patience to wait for the rest of the anime to know what happens. And I went ... HAAAAAARD with making OCs for Beastars, yo. You think Vizzy and all her worldbuilding is extra? Oooooo, bitch, you shoulda seen me in my hayday when people still RPed Beastars on Tumblr. XD So because I had a lot going on at the time it came out and I didn't wanna get sidetracked, I deliberately turned a blind eye to part 1 of the Final Season when it first dropped back on the 5th. Could NOT afford to get sucked back in that hard again. But, y'all ... I caved. And I'm DEEP in hell again. I'm such furry trash. LOL I was expecting to get right back on the same shit I was on before, but much to my surprise, it was an ENTIRELY new little asshole that stole my heart this time around--a certain psychotic gazelle/leopard hybrid whose named after a fruit (if you know, you know). And now I'm back on my shit, building a brand new OC. Because OF COURSE I am! She's a female binturong police officer whose "gone rogue" and made the questionable decision to go undercover to continue working on a missing person's case related to the Black Market even AFTER she got put on administrative leave. For some reason, my brain has decided that I wanna go even HARDER into the dead dove shit this time around--think like Joker and Harley Quinn but with themes of cannibalism, extreme violence, emotional/mental manipulation, and all KINDS of gnarly toxic filth. I have officially become a menace. And of course, because it's ME we're talking about, she comes with a FUCKTON of supporting characters, and I've been writing and drawing SO MUCH SHIT ... and yeah, I love this series to an unhealthy degree, send help (or, alternatively, come join me in my madness and do Beastars RP with me on Discord--enable me). So THAT'S where I've been, in a nutshell--holidays, sickness, and furry degeneracy. XD
