the implications for landduo in this first ending for qbad are going to kill me. Bad liked foolish enough to stick around. Companionship neither of them could quite deny considering there wasn't really any other option, the only other person truly like him. Used to stave of the loneliness, being eachothers grounding point to stay sane. Even with the world collapsing around them they'd still have eachother.

But in the end Bad takes his escape from their cycle, finally free. It's everything he's ever wanted, he ascends and leaves behind Foolish. Now the only person like himself, truly alone. No shot at heaven, no freedom in death.

For whatever reason I doubt foolish would blame bad, he understands not even forever lasts forever. Foolish gets it, maybe he'd even be happy for him. Foolish knows how heavy immortality weighs, how it cores you whole. He gets it. But at the same time I can't help but feel like if put in the same position Foolish wouldn't make the same decision.

Or maybe he would, we can't know. In the end does it matter? Bad made that choice, he was the first to give. Liking foolish enough to stick around but didn't love him enough to choose him over heaven. Not enough to stay.

when Bad asks Foolish and Baghera “yknow what you do when you’re upset?” and Foolish quietly goes “go out into a desert?” he shot me dead in my home.

Foolish, who spent all his time in the dsmp out in the desert building on his own, never really appreciated. who’s only community builds were never really used - a massive fuck off mansion for Tubbo and Ranboo in Snowchester they never moved into, Kinoko Kingdom which got more appreciation by Quackity, who hated it, than any of the meant to be residents, and the Among Us bunker that never saw the light of day. who’s only friends ended up executing him at a banquet, and the other blackmailing him into joining his city. but it didn’t truly matter - he had the desert to return to, and another massive project to build, even if it was just him around to appreciate it.

the desert was as beautiful as it was dangerous. it was not friendly, and it was not kind, but it was where he built his life. it was where he retreated to when everything else was shit.

and then, however many years later, he finds companionship in the qsmp. people love his builds, use his builds - but appreciate him for more than that. he sticks close instead of moving thousands of blocks away. he falls in love with Vegetta, then he takes care of his daughter. his beloved Leo. he learns another language so she doesn’t have to struggle with his, and they teach each other as they talk. he gets her everything she asks for even if he rolls his eyes and teases her for being spoiled, because he loves her, because he’d move heaven and earth for her. he tells her that she’s good, and that she’s shown him that there’s more to life than just being alone and building all the time.

and then Leo’s gone. and when the panic has settled and the realization that he can’t do anything hits, he goes and works on the titan. he builds and tries not to cry. for a short time, he goes and takes people exploring since they’re also online, and he tasks himself with distracting them to cheer them up (with the bonus of taking out his aggravation on monsters), and he can’t be upset if he’s with company. but lately they haven’t been around, and he’s mostly alone again - so he goes back to building. returning to hours and hours on his own, making more headway in a few days than he has in a month on his build.

he retreats to the desert. where he’s alone, where there’s nothing but him and the sand and his builds, where there’s nothing else in the world, because the rest of the world is unbearable.

The way The Untamed tells you "this is a tragedy" from its first breath, and then marches mercilessly towards that tragedy, deepening and broadening it with every passing second. The way it makes you cling to the impossible hope that it will be alright in the end, somehow. The way knowing it's a tragedy isn't enough to fight that hope..

We live this way for 50 episodes but Lan Wangji lived it for more than a dozen years. We know he did because he's still looking for Wei Ying; not only in the sense that Jiang Cheng tells us he does - literally searching for remains - but in the way he seems to hear hope in the rustle of every tree, to see it in the unexplained, in figures half seen. He can't fight hope either.

'Wei Ying is that you" when it can't be, it shouldn't be.

I do actually feel awful about not being active here and not being able to watch Tubbo streams. Like I actually miss it so so bad!

I graduate in like 3.5 months though and once that happens I will have lots more free time, I swear to you I will be writing and liveblogging and tapping tf IN once I am free !!!

Doodledex - #713-A Hisuian Avalugg

Considering that Hokkaido is actually at a higher latitude than France (and as a result, Sinnoh/Hisui is higher up than Kalos), you would think that the Avalugg here wouldn't look too much different thanks to the colder climate. And yet, Hisuian Avalugg are actually smaller, lighter, and have way less ice on their bodies! (Put some clothes on this beast!)

Since this Avalugg's body isn't strong enough to stride through deep snow unassisted, its lower jaw has gained an iron structure resembling a snow plow, allowing it to plow through snowfields and create its own paths! You would think that this would make it a Steel type.... but nope! Apparently Hisuian Avalugg's naked body is enough for it to be an Ice/Rock type instead of Ice/Steel. (...But seriously, give it some damn clothes!)
