Minestrone is a thick Italian soup , and the ultimate way of using up any leftover vegetables, Pasta and even meats. Minestrone Soup can be vegetarian or not and there is no set recipe for Minestrone soup so you can be a bit experimental with it! I added a photo of a recipe for the Minestrone soup as well as a recipe for the flatbread. I did this yesterday at @easycooklouth and it was something I'd never tried to make before but I love experimenting with flexible recipes. I've looked online and there are various ways of making this , for example, adding tinned tomatoes or cannellini beans.
𝙄𝙣𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨
• 30g pasta / Spaghetti or similar
• 1 Carrot
• 1 glove of garlic
• 1 potato
• 2 sticks of celery
• 1 Brown Onion
• 50 ml of tomato passata
• 1/4 Cabbage
• I added half a tin of Tomato soup
•600 ml of veg Stock
• Black Pepper
• Glug of Olive Oil
• Optional - grated cheese
𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨
Step 1 - chop up all of the veg into rough small size chunks.
Step 2 - peel the potato and dice.
Step 3 - put a splash of olive oil into a large saucepan and add the onions, garlic and Carrots for 2 mins.
Step 4 - add the rest of the veg - Carrots , Potatoes , Celery (whatever veg you want) to the pan cover and continue cooking on a low / medium heat for a further 5 to 10 mins.
Step 5 - next you need to add your Passata , chopped tomatoes and stock. Mix together , cover and cook for a further 30 on a low heat.
Step 6 - at this stage you need to break up your spaghetti into small pieces.
Step 7 - after 30 mins , check that your veg is slightly soft and add your Pasta to the pan. Cook for another 5 - 10 mins or until the pasta is soft.
Step 8 - serve to your preference. I added grated cheese and ate with the flatbread which was yum!

Every time i tell people i buy groceries every 14 days they seem shocked by this and tell me they buy groceries every day or several times a week.
That in turn blows my mind, as someone who couldn’t possibly hate buying groceries more than i do, i can’t imagine doing it that often.
Bonus if you tell me in the tags how you feel about shopping for groceries. Do you hate it with a passion like me? Feel indifferent to it, just another chore? Or do you somehow love it?
#poll#i do it every 14 days to save money tbh lmao#if i had a comfortable budget i might do it once a week#but honestly every 14 days works so well#it’s rare enough that i can enjoy 14 days of peace#but not so far between that the food goes bad before i manage to use it#it’s just the perfect amount

edited 22/02/2024 - my mum helped me raise the match goal from £100 to £200
edited again 22/02/2024 - I met and exceeded my goal! Donations are still very welcome because I think it's really impactful to show our collective donations, I will close this on the 27th when I am paid and can make my donation
Idea credit goes to @ibtisams and I was inspired by @stuckinapril and @geekydragon !
I am doing a donation match!
I will match every pound donated, from now until next week, up to £200! I will donate £50 regardless of the outcome.
-
1. Donate any amount you can to one of the places below:
UNRWA | Palestine children's relief fund | esims (link is a how to guide!) | Operation olive branch (any family that resonates with you)
2. Send me proof/receipt showing the date and amount, cross out any other information you wish
(currency does not matter, I will convert it and donate the equivalent in GBP)
3. I will update in the reblogs how much has been donated so far, and will make my matched donation on the 27th of February (when I get paid the money I plan to donate)
I'm currently planning on splitting my donation across the above sources, but I will donate £200 total.
-
If we meet the match goal we will raise £400 for people who desperately need it right now! It's easy to feel a small donation doesn't help, so hopefully this is a way to illustrate how it all does really add up.
Any amount helps, if you have £1 to spare please do, but if you can donate more I urge you to
If you have nothing to spare, please reblog and do your daily click
#this is probably an awful time to post because my dash is not active at this time but I will reblog when I see people being online#I am going to promote this on my Instagram and WhatsApp my friends so hopefully it will be effective#I really hope we can meet the goal#£100 is as much as I can do I'm a uni student who lives off theit maintenance but this money is from my job which I use to pad my budget#I'm expecting to get paid around £130 so that's most of it#the £30 left will probably be my next food shop !#palestine#free palestine#free gaza#all eyes on rafah#I'm not sure if there's anything I need to add so I'm just going to post this now

kim is such a funny little guy like he emphasizes how little the rcm salary is when you ask about it (5500 reál annually- 460/mo) but here he is with his nice electronic sports watch and his little instant camera and his fancy revolutionary cosplay for plainclothes and he's living in the GRIH which can't be cheap and he's got his fancy little mnemotechnique notebooks which are like the moleskine of elysium i guess and his fancy little ballpoints that he does NOT want to share with you which i bet is because they cost him like a week of salary. and this is the rcm he's not getting stipends for supplies or watches or housing or probably even the gas for the kineema. poor as fuck but he is going to buy himself his little treats god damn it. if he lived in our world you know he'd be out getting himself a $9 vanilla soy milk half caf dirty chai iced latte every morning on the way to the station and eating instant noodles every night to claw out room in the budget for it
#'kim is a black coffee kind of guy' false he drinks black coffee at work solely for appearance#given the choice he's like the typical iced latte extra caramel sauce 27 pumps of vanilla and whipped cream type of girlie#he won't admit it though. so he drinks it black at work. with one (1) sugar if he's feeling zesty#kim buying himself extremely nice and overpriced notebooks every couple weeks justifying it with 'it's for work'#he will justify any purchase to himself with 'it's for work' wherever possible#which results in insane feats of mental gymnastics. and yes that would include the $9 soy chai lattes#harry is broke bevause he spends r400 a month on booze.#kims budget is r110 kineema gas and mods r150 stationery r150 rent r20 pen ink refills r20 tailoring supplies and r10 food & misc#creature of pride indeed. love you kim#kiwipost#kk meta#kim kitsuragi#harry makes fun of the expensive pens until he writes with one then hes like no yeah this is a nice pen. im sorry for ever doubting you#actually even better if harry thinks its shitty. he'd prefer the cheap dollar store bulk pack 50c plastic ones#kim gets really defensive of his pens too. unreasonably defensive. personal insults may or may not be slung at this point#kim is sooo funny yes sir you are so so normal average sane mundane usual orthodox plain unremarkable spoilsport etc. whatever you say babe

I’m gonna be perfectly honest— this is THE BEST representation of the expression of disbelief I have EVER seen and I laughed at this panel alone for a solid 4 minutes much to my wife’s annoyance.
THANK YOU FOR THINKING SO!!!!! and sorry to your wife <3
i struggled so hard with his face here he accidentally turned out kinda uwu-ified :''D so if that's where the effect is coming from then i can't even take credit, it's a happy consequence of me fighting for my life (trying to draw a picture)
Connor: my foolproof delivery method is i've been giving your mail to your dog for weeks so he will bring it to you. it cost sixty five miiiiiillion dollars to make me btw
