07/10/2024-Young Great Crested Grebes and a single Greylag Goose which was nice with them not regularly around the country park in these months I've seen them a lot from home lately which it was excellent to get splendid intimate views of alongside Coot and Mallard and autumn leaves at Lakeside Country Park today and autumn leaves out the front.

Migrant Hawker, fine Speckled Wood butterfly, Moorhen, Blue Tit, a great scene of Magpies and Jackdaws, self-heal, ragwort, fleabane and red and white clover were also nice to see at Lakeside with rose hips, buddleia, firethorn, Collared Doves and Goldfinch nice to see at home with Pied Wagtail possibly heard.

An Afternoon Trip

Went to Sam’s Club to look at a couple things and buy some shaving razor cartridges. The smart thing would have been to know what brand I needed before leaving the house, right? 🫤 Nope, not me. Bought a couple new night pillows they were giving away. Trail walked a bit after.

Did not end up getting too far, my foot started getting sore. Plant colors are starting to dim here

Here is a happy group that must have been getting just enough water. The last 4 weeks have been dry here. These are Fleabane.

These are New England Asters and I did not stop to check for bee activity.
