Hi again.... If you don't mind me asking, can I ask, what are your top 7 favorite media (can be books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series) and your top 7 favorite ships (can be canon or non canon) from any media ? Why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this questions before......

I don't mind at all!

My top 7 favorite media has to be

The Percy Jackson series. I found it during a vulnerable moment in my life and these books were a lifeline, so I'll always have a soft spot for them

Throne of Glass. Very ridiculous but never doubt the bond between a person and the mediocre book series they read when they were 14

Six of Crows. A must read, really

Batman and Robin, from any media. Fell in love with it during a really hard period of my life part 2, pandemic edition

Haikyuu. Literally life changing, made me fall in love with anime

My Hero Academia. Superhero anime, what else can I say. This was made for me

Captain America and the Winter Soldier. I just have really good memories of watching it with my mom

My top 7 favorite ships... ranking them is going to hurt a bit, but let's go

Kuroken. I'm a sucker for childhood friends to lovers and love when people are like, disgustingly in love. Almost devoted, really. Not beating the soulmate allegations (but none of these ships are because i have a type)

Percabeth. Also childhood friends to lovers, with the plus of almost dying and killing for each other

Bakudeku. Childhood friends who are always almost dying and killing for each other plus they have a complicated history?? This ship was made for me specifically

HuaLian. They literally invented soulmates, idk what to tell you

Solangelo. It's the sun and moon parallel

Patrochilles. It's the doomed yaoi

A bit of a dark horse, but Zukka. Idk okay! The edits got me!! I just like their dynamic a lot, even just platonically. Two boys from opposing sides of a war who present toxic attitudes in an attempt to fit in as an overcompensation to how they feel inferior to their younger sisters and crave their father's validation. The parallels are there, see!!

Twisted Wonderland: is my current hyperfixation. I love it bc it's based off of the Disney villains but in anime style and the art is really pretty!!

Adventure Time: I wasn't that into it as a child but I got really into it when the Stakes miniseries came out and now I'm living for Fionna and Cake 😍

Steven Universe: I'm not currently into it but it remains one of my favorite shows, it has a special place in my heart bc it got me out of some dark times, it did sm good to my mental health!

The Greatest Showman: it remains one of my favorite movies, I love the songs, the story, the characters and overall it was a really fun experience

The Spiderverse (soon-to-be) Trilogy: I love Spiderman, I love the animation, the story, the characters, everything it's really good with this one

Carmilla: the book has me thinking of vampire lesbians constantly lol

Klaus: finally a Christmas-themed movie I actually like!

And that's all I could think of for now! I tried to put media that I love as a whole and just bc of 1 character or a ship (which is more common than I would like to think)

Thanks for asking! I have a lot of favorites but narrowing them down to ten will be a challenge. I will try though!

Number one may be of shock but it was the first movie I remember loving as a kid, and even now, I can watch it in different languages and STILL understand what is going on purely from memory! Now I also didn't include My Hero Academia in this, although I have been obsessed with it lately, and that is purely because I actually have not read or watched it yet! I have gotten my knowledge and love for it through osmosis and fervent research!

Gundam Wing was the first anime that I fell in love with, and Endless Waltz was the first anime movie I watched and bought. Naruto/Shippuden was my first obsession, and the source material for my first fanon Yaoi ship.

The Hobbit was my first full-length novel. I read it in the 4th grade, and after taking a test on it, I got 17/20 questions right, which was a surprise for my teachers!

MDZS and TGCF are the first Danmei/Donghua I got into, and that was literally about 6 months ago!

There are plenty of other media I like. The Magic School Bus was my favorite cartoon growing up. Then there is Emergency (circa 1970's). I like the Alien franchise a lot. Mobile Suit Gundam SEED is another anime I love. I am also a big fan of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives from the Food Network. Card Captor Sakura is good to watch. There are countless others, the ones I listed are simply the most influential ones to the person I am now.

If u ever see/read/watch any of those, be aware of TWs for Shelter (sensitive themes), Owari no Seraph (vampire anime = blood), Akatsuki no Yona (id remember much cuz it has been a long time but i recall it has some violence) and Bungo Stray Dogs (because its an action anime and it has lots of blood - it touches sensitives topics every now and then as well)

“Dick is extremely stubborn and thinks he’s right all the time” yeah it’s a character flaw.

“Jason has hypocritical tendencies” yeah it’s a character flaw.

“ Tim is entitled and doesn’t think about people when seeking results, and often acts uncaring” yeah it’s a character flaw.

“Damian is rude and bratty” yeah, it’s a character flaw.

Also, some people may not even regard everything listed above as flaws.

Having negative traits allows incredible flexibility within your characters, what makes them intriguing, what makes them easy to relate to. If you want to write people, then write people. But they can’t be good and clean all the time.
