Çağdaş İran Edebiyatı Üzerine Ne Biliyoruz? 

- Farsça veya yabancı bir dil bilmiyorsak hemen hiç. 

Sâdık Hidâyet, 17 Şubat 1903′te Tahran’da doğdu. Tek romanı konumundaki Bûf-i Kûr başlıklı eserini 1936 yılında kaleme aldı. O, bu eseriyle İran edebiyatına Avrupa modernizmini getirdi ve Modern İran Edebiyatı’nın temellerinin atılmasına öncülük etmiş oldu. Eserlerinde en belirgin leitmotiflerin boşluk duygusu ve ölüm olduğu pekâlâ görülebilir.

1933′lerde çeşitli edebiyat toplulukları kurdu. Ancak, Rıza Şah’ın baskı yönetimi ve bu yönetimin ağırlaştırdığı hayat şartları karşısında kurulan tüm bu topluluklar dağıldı. Sonrasında yayınlamış olduğu Bûf-i Kûr romanı İran’da kara listeye girerek yasaklanacaktı da. Derken düşmanlıkları üzerine çekmeler, gözden düşmeler, kavuşturmalar... 

Hidâyet, 9 Nisan 1951 günü dairesine kapandı ve bütün delikleri tıkadıktan sonra gaz musluğunu açtı. Ertesi gün ziyaretine gelen bir dostu, onu mutfakta yerde yatar buldu. Tertemiz giyinmiş, güzelce tıraş olmuştu ve cebinde parası vardı. Yakılmış müsveddelerinin kalıntıları, yanı başında, yerdeydi.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

"so uh all of those new washable fabrics are leaching microplastics into our water, and the constant machine-washing wears garments out faster. they're also not really sturdy enough to be mended, so we keep having to throw them out and now the planet is covered in plastic fabric waste that will never break down. also it turns out that the new washable fabrics hold odor-causing bacteria VERY well. so could we get those barrier garments back please?"
