We received a message yesterday indicating a kitten was unable to put weight on her leg and was feeling unsteady. Our director immediately made room in one of her emergency kennels for injured kittens needing more care and medical.

Without delay, we took her to West Toledo Animal Hospital, where it was confirmed that she had a broken leg. 🥺

Dr. West skillfully splinted her leg, and we are hopeful that we can save it. The kitten will have a recheck on Friday, September 20th to assess her healing progress.

As she hasn't been given an official name yet, we'd love to hear some unique name suggestions from all of you!💜

⭐️Wish Wednesday⭐️

Dolly wants nothing more than a forever home✨️ She was born on February 3rd, 2022, has been with us since she 5 weeks old, and has been looking for a forever since May 10th, 2022. She has been patiently waiting for someone to want to adopt her for 855 days! 🥺🥺🥺

Dolly has been with us since she was a BABY and has had ZERO interest!! 💔😭

She's a sweet girl that was on medical hold for a little bit because she was always getting sick, not gaining weight, and had constant diarrhea 🤢

What was wrong with her? This girl has a FISH allergy! 🐟 She is currently on one brand of food (Purina Beyond - white meat chicken & egg recipe) as it's one of the only brands we have found that have zero fish byproducts in it. Dolly is doing FANTASTIC on it!

Dolly wants nothing more than a home of her own. She does have to stay in a cage because of her food allergy and is out when the other fosters' food is pulled up🥺 She does get a little overwhelmed with the foster kittens so she wouldn't mind having a friend OR being your one and only. She LOVES toys - especially wand feather toys. A few scratching posts are a must because she's a great girl and loves to use them.

She is completely vetted and just received her three-year FVRCP and rabies vaccine on September 9th.

Today we are dealing with the very sudden and unexpected loss of our sweet paralyzed girl, Evermore 💔

We do not know what happened as this morning I woke up to her lethargic and she started having little seizures. We tried rushing her into Perrysburg Animal Hospital but it was too late. Thank you Taylor for being amazing this morning as I have been an absolute wreck. For Dr. West for giving us advice and for coming in late on your day off when we first took her from someone who was abusing and neglecting her.

I wanted to give her the best life possible. I love special needs animals and have saved several that were at the risk of being put down for being different. I want to show that special needs do not need to be euthanized right away. They do live a normal life and show so much more appreciation and love towards their caregivers.

Evermore was paralyzed but that didn't stop her. She loved to wrestle with her cat friends and started to become strong enough to climb. She loved to cuddle and be babied. Very food motivated but a princess and would always change her mind about what food she liked best. Baths became her daily routine and she was an amazing purrmaid!

All money that has been raised for Evermore will be rolled into another medical case that needs us.

Please give me and my team time to process this loss and be patient with us.

Graphic pictures! Our founder Brooke and amazing foster Allie went and picked this girl up Sunday night. She is back leg paralyzed and was absolutely caked with poop and pee. It had to be shaved off to reveal fresh tissue. Thankfully she has no feeling where the raw tissue is.Thank you to Dr. West and Lisa for meeting us last night on your day off!

She will be on antibiotics and will need constant cleaning and monitoring. Once she is healed up we will be making follow-up appointments with Dr. West for x-rays, possibly doing acupuncture, and whatever else will be needed for her long-term care.

Tigger

He's been bouncing so much Tigger has a half tail!

How did it happen? We believe he was born like that as his sisters were also missing a portion of their tails.

Tigger has some BIG feet and is a BIG snugly kitten! Higher is a talker when he's nervous and sometimes will when he wants your attention.

We believe he would adjust well in any home with an adjustment period. He has no reaction to calmer dogs, has loved getting attention from kids at events, and does great with other cats.
