My newest Illustration is here, once again inspired by the world of Bella Sara! Meet Deryn, a Fjord horse-Pegasus with the colorization of a Eurasian Bullfinch.

This illustration was a bit more of a challenge, seeing as I wanted to draw a horse lying in a tree, so I sorta had to wing the front legs and studied a lot of photos of horses lying on the ground to get a feeling for the legs. You know, considering how many cards there are, it's a bit surpising that there is not a SINGLE Pegasus in Bella Sara that's depicted sitting IN or ON a tree. Let the giant bird-horses do silly bird things! :D I think it'd be fun to have some taking off from a branch or standing tall on a tree top, maybe even have one sitting in a nest? GIANT BIRD HORSE NESTS!!!

Desmond's scream sounded shrilly through the stacks of books before a hand swiftly clamped over his mouth. The prompt silence left Desmond's scream echoing in the cramped room. Maroon eyes stared into Desmond's own as the man, who'd suddenly appeared just moments before, withdrew his hand. The two men gazed at each other, both seemingly in shock.

When Desmond had found a dusty manuscript with Liber Daemonum gilded across the cover in the libraries collection he hadn't expected this. It was as he'd been working on translating a chapter of the Latin Manuscript that Desmond had come across the spell to summon demons.

"You called upon me?" Drawled the demon, his voice pulling Desmond back into reality.

Desmond, a 27 year-old human librarian who works with medieval books. He has curly brown hair and wears wire framed glasses that are constantly falling down his nose.

Alastor, a colourless demon with two white horns protruding from his black hair. His maroon eyes, however, swirl with the mystery of his past.

Ohio War Kings IV

Something very different for me! Painted-style promotional artwork commission for Ohio War Kings. I was specifically instructed to evoke the feeling of 70s/80s fantasy artwork, and to adapt the general composition of the Star Wars poster to a more apropro fantasy-barbarian theme. Nobody from the state of Michigan was harmed during the making of this film.

Finally got around to illustrating some of my book characters!! This is (most of) the family of my main protagonist Fio, a Red Clover Dragon! We've got Fio's parents: His Dad Garth and his mother Fauna, who is the leader of the family clan. Freya and Fallon do not have their feathers yet in the first two novels, but this will be their "adult" plumage in the third novel, which I'm currently working on.

One day I want to make full-body reference sheets too, but those will take a while to get done 🤔 Especially since I'm still missing Fio's aunt Agave, two of his distant cousins along with their mother and Garth's best friend Bakula. AND Asha. Goddamn. So many pink dragons to design...
