To quickly note, I received this for free from Picky and VIDIVICI for my honest review.

This product contains 120 ml (4.05 oz) and has a pretty noticeable slightly perfume-y scent.

The cleanser has kind of a fluffy creamy texture.

After adding water, the cleanser is quite creamy and soft on the skin.

Once it's rinsed clean, I really noticed a slightly squeaky clean feeling, it wasn't irritating but it really made it a little bit difficult to rinse off of the skin. Luckily it didn't leave a residue or feel dry after rinsing.
Recommended use is to apply over a wet face with gentle massaging motions. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. After using, first to note, this has a very strong fragrance, I'd describe it as floral and kind of perfumey. If this is going to be a problem, please pass on this cleanser. The ingredients however are pretty nice with a few irritants and many beneficial ingredients for any skin type. I have dry/sensitive leaning skin and I didn't have any issues. And as I mentioned above, this cleanser does have a kind of squeaky feeling when rinsing it off which I like to avoid as normally that's quite drying for me. But, my skin felt soft and smooth after using, minus any residue or film. It does a nice job in a double cleanse and removes all of the makeup left after an oil cleanser quite efficiently and when using a cotton pad and wiping it on your skin with toner, there's no makeup leftover at all. You can also get away with using very little product, it spreads well and it does bubble up very well. The texture is soft and pleasant to the touch. I'd recommend this to anyone with oily, combination, and dry skin, but if you have very sensitive skin or just don't care for fragrance, there are other options out there.
What I like: I really enjoyed how smooth my skin was after using it and the soft creamy texture of the cleanser. I like the ingredients a lot and feel like it really cleanses the skin and removes any leftover makeup or sunscreen well. It also doesn't leave a film or residue once rinsed off. What I don't like: this product has a very strong scent, there are several irritants and this has a noticeable squeaky feeling on the skin and it's harder to rinse off as a result.
Pros:
Hydrating
Non-drying
Nice ingredients
Lovely texture
Removes makeup and sunscreen well
Doesn't leave a film or residue
Cons:
Fragrance
Some irritants
Kind of difficult to rinse off
Would I buy this?
Probably not
Rating: 7.5/10

₊˚⊹ ᰔ my nightly skincare routine + tips ᝰ.ᐟ

i’ve struggled with acne all throughout my teen years and even into my early adult years. i’ve tried and experimented with so many different products and i can’t even count how many different routines i’ve tried. but now, my skin is better than ever and i’ve finally perfected my skincare routine! this is what works for me! everyone’s skin is different, so take my advice with a grain of salt!
let’s begin !!
ᝰ.ᐟ my skin type
oily, combo, acne prone
it’s important that you figure out what your skin type is so that you can research and find products that will work best for you!
different skin types:
oily - skin appears very shiny, especially in the T-zone area (forehead, nose, & chin). very visible pores
dry - skin may feel tight and may appear flaky across your face, especially near your cheeks. you may also notice that your skin has a dull appearance
combo - your T-zone is very oily, but other parts of your face like your cheeks may have dry parts that appear flaky and/or tight
normal - skin doesn’t appear oily/shiny, there isn’t any flakiness or a tight feeling
sensitive - irritation, stinging feeling from products, redness on the skin
ᝰ.ᐟ step one: double cleansing
i started double cleansing about 2 years ago, and it has helped my skin so so so much. it’s helped unclog my pores, make my skin feel smoother & softer, and has helped reduce my acne breakouts! & since i have oilier skin, i’ve noticed that the oiliness has definitely calmed down ever since i started double cleansing!
benefits of double cleansing:
deep cleaning: when you double cleanse, especially with a cleansing balm/oil, you really get down into your pores to help clear any sebum, dirt, grime, and any residue from other products like sunscreen & makeup out of your skin!
acne prevention: since double cleansing helps to deepen your cleanse, it’ll also help reduce the amount of breakouts you have and can even prevent any new breakouts from happening!
better product absorption: with a completely clean slate (your face), your skin will have an easier time absorbing any other skincare products you use on your face!
suitable for all skin-types: double cleansing is safe for any and all skin types so long as you use the right products for your skin!! so make sure you find cleansing balms/oils that work well with your skin, and the same goes for your 2nd cleanser!
how to double cleanse:
choose a cleansing balm or oil! i personally use a cleansing oil (specifically the Anua Heartleaf Pore Cleansing Oil *Mild*) again, choose a cleansing oil/balm that works for your skin type! in the past, i’ve used The Ordinary Squalene Cleanser!
choose a gentle face cleanser! step 2 of double cleansing should be the regular face wash you use! i use the Anua Heartleaf Quercetinol Pore Deep Cleansing Foam! in the past, i’ve used the Cetaphil cleanser!
apply your cleansing balm/oil on dry skin! when you use these kinds of products on dry skin and you work it into your skin, it allows the oil to bind any makeup, sunscreen, or other dirt/grime together and out of your pores. you really want to work it into your skin, massaging areas where your pores are the most clogged (typically your nose & chine area). you want to work this initial cleanser into your skin for about 3-5 minutes (at least that’s how long i do it). i know that seems like a long time, but trust me when i say you’ll literally see sebaceous filaments and dirt get pulled out of your skin! don’t be afraid to really get in there!
emulsify the cleansing oil! what this means is just rubbing your face with wet hands! i’ll get my hands wet or just splash some water on the face are star rubbing at that cleanser again. you’ll see the cleansing oil turn into a milky white color! emulsifying the oil cleanser just makes it easier for you to completely rinse of that cleanser so that you aren’t leaving an oil residue on your skin and ensuring a thorough cleanse!
go in with your gentle face cleanser! this second cleanse just allows for a clarifying effect to ensure that you get a really good cleanse. think of how you double shampoo: the first wash is to get rid of all the dirt and grime & that second wash is to ensure that your scalp and hair is completely clean!
remember to pat dry your skin! rubbing your face while drying your skin can be pretty harsh on you! the pulling and tugging on your skin could also cause premature wrinkles, so be gentle with your skin!
ᝰ.ᐟ step two: apply toner
toners have a plethora of benefits for you! like balancing your skin’s pH balance, hydration, minimizing the size of pores, and improving your skin’s texture!
the toners i use: Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner & Mediheal Retinol Collagen Lifting Pads
i use the Mediheal toner pads every other night! i typically use it more as a sheet mask!
toner i’ve used in the past: Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner
how to apply toner:
you can really do any method you feel is best! i’ve applied toner by putting it on a cotton pad and rubbing that across my face, but more recently i’ve started applying the toner directly with my hands and just patting it into my skin!
i’ve also seen people use those thinner pads and soak them with their toner and use them as little sheet masks!
ᝰ.ᐟ step three: apply acne treatment(s)
i’ve used so many different acne treatments in the past that i can’t even remember what i’ve used, but i went to see a dermatologist a couple years ago & she prescribed me Tretinoin cream! the strength of it is 0.025% and it has helped my skin TREMENDOUSLY. literally, if i see that i have a breakout, i’ll put my tretinoin on it and as soon as the next morning hits the blemish has reduced greatly! also, on the nights i don’t use the Mediheal toner pads, i use my tretinoin cream!
some info on Tretinoin & Retinol:
both are retinoids! however, as i mentioned earlier i did have my tretinoin prescribed to me, so that just means that tretinoin is a stronger & more potent retinoid while retinol is not. retinol can be purchased over-the-counter, so it’s more accessible to people!
because of tretinoin’s strong potency, it can be harsher on the skin than retinol is! tretinoin is typically used for more severe acne cases, but both tretinoin & retinol have the same goal for the skin!
retinol can be found in a variety of products like creams, serums, moisturizers, and toners! tretinoin is just a topical cream.
tretinoin & retinol should not be used together! this can cause dryness and flaky skin, and if you have more sensitive skin it could really irritate or even damage your skin barrier. (i know this from experience, so please do not make the same mistake i did!!)
if you guys want more of a deep dive on tretinoin & retinol, let me know! i’d be more than happy to create a separate post going into more detail about them!
ᝰ.ᐟ step four: moisturize
even oily skin types need moisture! moisturizers not only help to add moisture to your skin and make you skin feel nice and soft, it also helps to lock in all the products you’ve used!
moisturizers i use: Medicube Collagen Jelly Cream, Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Moisture Cream, & Beauty of Joseon Red Bean Water Gel (i use this one during the spring/summer!)
moisturizers i’ve used in the past: La Roche Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer, & Medicube Triple Collagen Cream
moisturizing tips:
pat your skin! after i’ve applied moisturizer, i like to use the palms of my hands and tips of my fingers to pat my face to get that moisturizer to really lock it into my skin.
don’t forget your hands & neck! honestly, this applies to toners as well! yes, you want your face to look good too, but don’t neglect your the skin on your neck and hands! your face, neck, and hands will be the first places to show signs of aging!
𝜗𝜚 final notes 𝜗𝜚
this is my nighttime routine, and i keep it pretty simple! i’ve tried doing those 7-10 step skincare routines, but i feel like they either didn’t do anything & i just spent a ton of money for nothing or they made my skin worse. again, this is just what works for me! there are days where i’ll treat myself and maybe do a face mask like once every two weeks! sometimes, less is more! oh, and the products i listed as “used in the past” aren’t necessarily just products that didn’t work for me, some of those products i would honestly go back to using and some are products i’d definitely ditch! i can make a full review of all the skincare products i’ve used!
also, just to reiterate, everyone’s different! a simple skincare routine may or may not work for you, and that’s okay! it’s important to do what’s best for you! if you find that including more serums, creams, etc. is more beneficial for your skin, then great! if you’re like me and your skin needs something more simplified, that’s great too! do what works for you!
i plan on making a morning skincare routine post as well, so stay tuned for that! i’ll also make other skincare related posts in the future too!
live and love, babe.
sincerely, juno ⭑.ᐟ

What's your skincare routine currently?
I actually spent the other week taking stock of how my current routine was working and deciding if I needed to change anything, so I have a lot to say on this
AM:
Wash face with water
(extra step for wintertime) Avène thermal water
Serum with antioxidants and niacinamide: just switched from facetheory Colloidal-C Anti-Redness Toner, which I got in hope of reducing redness (did nothing for me) back to facetheory’s Cera-C Pore Reducing Toner, which actually makes my skin look great. It has 5% niacinamide and a vitamin C derivative, which is what I want – I just would like extra perks (anti-redness). An alternative I’m considering is the Isntree Onion Newpair Gel cream.
(extra step if my skin is feeling very dry i.e. what I use during winter) hydrating serum: I’ve just finished Avène Hydrance Serum which I found very hydrating though too light weight (i.e. not good for winter for me) and honestly it lasted so little that I won’t buy it again. My go to instead is snail mucin: Mizon’s Snail Repair Ampoule (best formula but not so much product, what I’m currently using); or COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Essence (best bang for your buck, though my pump was really bad)
Alpha-arbutin: most recent addition to my skincare & it seems to be making a difference when it comes to discoloration (PIE). I’m using Beauty of Joseon Glow Deep Serum, mostly because this was the only product I could find here in Norway.
Caffeine for my undereye: I’m using The Inkey List Caffeine Eye Cream – while I can say it’s infinitely better than what The Ordinary offers (because why would you use a dropped for something that goes around the eyes!!), I can’t tell if I’m seeing results or not, despite using it for almost three months. Maybe?
Moisturizer: Eucerin 5% Urea Repair, my holy grail of all time. I buy this by the litre. Since I entered my mid-20s, my skin has turned dry. Combined with drier winters and the heating I have to put on to survive winter, this is the only thing that makes my skin stay intact.
Sunscreen: probably controversial, but I actually don’t wear sunscreen everyday, as the amount of light I get is ridiculous (though I do in the summer or if there is snow). Over the past year, I tried several ones and my top two choices are Beauty of Joseon Sun Relief (cannot fault a single thing and I found it to be good value for money based on how long it lasted me) and Isntree Onion Newpair Sunscreen (jury is out on whether the onion extract actually helps me, but I found the texture to be perfect for me and it actually ensures I apply a proper amount since it’s not too runny)
Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment: amazing!! This has been so far the only thing that helped with redness. I haven’t worn foundation in a year and it’s only because of this. I don’t even think it’s that expensive because I spent 30£ for a 50 ml jar which lasts me six months of daily use. Love it.
PM:
My routine is the following:
Double cleanse: I’ve been liking a lot the Beauty of Jonseon Cleansing Balm – so far the best cleansing product I’ve tried. Micellar water is a no for me, as I don’t like using cotton pads. Oils are mostly ok as an alternative, with iUnik Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil being my failsafe (but it doesn’t remove 100% of my mascara). Next, I use a foaming cleansing gel. My go-to used to be Neutrogena Clear & Defend, but it keeps being sold out, so I’m now using CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser. It works fine. My main criteria here is price tbh.
facetheory Exaglow serum: the daily base, with tranexamic acid, liquorice root, and a vitamin c derivative, this in combination with whatever active follows has helped me reduce my hyperpigmentation so so much
An active (see below)
Moisturizer: Eucerin Urea repair, again.
Actives is when things get more complicated, because I rotate weekly between (combinations of) them
Differin (adapalene): game changer, I tolerate it very well and I recently increased it to three times per week + Azelaic acid: I love it and over the years I tried so many different products (available in Europe). I find that for me 10% works just as well as 20%. Usually, a higher price tag gets you better texture (i.e. less grainy) but not better results. Isispharma Metroruboril was very smooth, but a more basic one works just fine for me – hence why I keep going back to The Ordinary’s 10% one. It’s not an area where I feel like I should be spending a lot.
Kojic acid: I’m using Dermaceutic’s Radiance, which works fine in combination with my overall routine. + Retinol: bit of a controversial combination, but because I’ve been using retinols for so long, this works fine. I’m using A313, which is v gentle. I bought it in Paris and it has a too thick texture in my opinion, so once I finished the tube I’ll go back to my fave L’Oreal Revitalift (amazing fragrance, great texture, very hydrating too)
An exfoliant: while some of my products have small percentages of lactic acid in it, so I never felt the need to have a dedicated exfoliating step up. However, I thought I could benefit from it and started using facetheory’s Glycolacsal which has glycolic acid (8.5%), salicylic acid (1%) and lactic acid (0.5%). I use it twice a week and it’s really good.
In addition to all of this, twice a week I do a face mask with benoxyl peroxide in the shower which helps tons to keep acne at bay BUT is infinitely better than using the cream, which has bleached all of my towels. The cream used to be a must in my routine but now that overall my acne is under control, I don’t need to use it as often.
This ended up being extremely long, but I love skincare and I feel like I learnt so much about my own skin and how to work with it and what products work in the past few years. I’m testing new things but in a calculated manner. And I don’t know. Skincare is nothing static and the whole process of figuring things out can be fun (and necessary).
#i know this was from march! but hey! at last: a reply#replies#is this helpful? i do not know. but i love hearing others' routines

HOW I PROPERLY WASH MY FACE TO ACHIEVE CLEAR SKIN
: ̗̀➛As someone who wears make up and spends my time to create a look, I also spend my time to clean and undo my face and skin. DOUBLE CLEANSING has been part and probably the reason why it helped me so much with achieving a clear skin and I rarely break out too nowadays. Here are my steps on how I properly wash my face to achieve that clear skin.
✎STEPS 1 and 2: Prep before cleansing ✎STEPS 3, 4, 5, and 6: Meticulous process to remove make (eyes and especially lashes) ✎STEPS 7, 8, and 9: Cleansing the face with cleansing balm ✎STEPS 10, 11, and 12: Proper way of cleansing face with cleanser
༊*·˚Products that I used: Cleansing balm: I either use the Banila Co Zero Cleansing Balm or the Heimish All Clean Balm Micellar Water: Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Makeup Remover Cleansing foam: Senka Perfect Whip Moist Cleansing Foam (my personal holy grail)
1.Before anything else, I always wash my hands first with a hand soap. The first thing that comes contact to your skin is your hands and finger tips so it's best to always wash your hands first before you do your cleansing routine. 2. I use a headband and tie my hair into a bun so it doesn't get in the way with washing my face. 3. Using my cleansing balm, I scoop out a fair amount and start warming it up with my fingers for it to melt. I apply the melted balm to my eyes first to remove the eye make up. ╰┈➤I always always prioritize my lashes and I use my ring finger to clean my lashes to clean off the mascara. I take my time to clean my lashes until the mascara is off or any of the make up residue. 4. Once I'm done, I use a cotton pad to gently wipe of the remaining balm and residue 5. I use a q tip and wet it with a micellar water to remove any of the oil residue from the lash I use the other side of the q tip (the dry side) to clean my tear duct. 6. Once I'm done with the other eye, I do the steps 3, 4, 5, and 6 to the other eye before I proceed with double cleansing my face. 7. I use the same cleansing balm and scoop another amount and warm it up until it's melted and start to apply it all over my face. ╰┈➤Cheeks╰┈➤Forehead╰┈➤Chin These are the areas that my skin gets very congested when I apply make up so I always take my time and focus these areas by cleansing it off to get rid of dirt and any residue. 8. Before I wipe off my face, I let the balm stay for a minute before wiping it off with a clean and dry cotton pad AWAY FROM THE FACE (wiping it outwards the face)
9. Now this step, I wet my face before using a foam cleanser and squeezing enough amount unto my middle finger. 10. I emulsify my cleanser by adding a bit of water until it gets into a foamy like texture and applying to my wet face and gently washing my face. ╰┈➤Don't scrub and harshly wash it because it causes abrasions to your skin. ╰┈➤Wash your face for a minute 11. Rinse thoroughly and pat your face with a clean towel.
.୨⎯ "After these meticulous steps I proceed with my next routines" ⎯୧.
Let me know if you guys want to have another skin care routine of mine I could share! I am open for questions regarding these matters!₍ ᐢ.ˬ.ᐢ₎˚୨୧

Routines and Rituals
Though our routines are usually only jokingly referred to as "daily rituals", I see no reason we can't make the colloquialism a reality. Injecting a little magic into our consistent actions can bring a deeper connection to one's craft- and own body and lifestyle!- through mindful repetition... And possibly create other benefits through simple cause and effect... or via magical focus. Is this not using will to shape reality? ;)
Beverages and Hydration
Anything that can be safely imbibed orally can be considered a potion. Any tea? Potion. Apple Juice? Sure, it's a potion, too. A Sparkling Water Beverage? People before carbonation's invention wouldn't know what to call that but a potion of some sort. I almost tried to justify in my mind that water or juice couldn't be potions alone, but potion ingredients... But each ingredient generally does have its own property on its own, and can be used alone, can it not? Water seems, to me, to be the great carrier, and somewhat analogous to clear quartz in application.
Meals
"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day," as they say... especially if it's one of the ways you start off on a magically mindful foot.
Lunch is the mid day respite from- or peak of- our daily energy. A good energy for magical lunch is usually one of recooperation and regeneration. It may also be a time for socialization if you go to school or work, so creating communicative and relative energies may assist in comfortable interactions with others.
Snacks are little blessings to our bodies throughout the day, and can be celebrated as such with small ritual actions. From small mental notes to full gestures and prayer, quick acts of magic can boost the impact of your snacks and pick-me-ups
Dinner is (usually) the largest meal, and (usually) the time we re-center after a long day. Grounding to the home is important, and I can't think of anything better for that than a hearty meal. If living with others, this is a great time to reconnect with your housemate(s), partner(s), family member(s), pet(s) etc. Many connections have been formed around a dining table, and this has helped humanity share with and get to know each other for as long as it has been.
Dessert is a great magical option for celebration and for special occasions. It can also be a reward for oneself after accomplishing a goal, magical or otherwise. Perhaps it's an act of self care and self love, a treat to lift the spirit.
Self Care
Brushing our teeth and washing our faces are cleansing activities, I think we would all agree. Cleansing with a shower or a simple wash of the hands can be a magical action of its own when done mindfully. Hand sanitizers come in a wide variety of scents and varieties, and these can be used with common magical correspondences quickly, on the go... maybe even on a keychain or in a spray or foam form! Face washes come with different bases and organic/botanical additives, and in various strengths and applications. (Be mindful to care for your skin, and if anything feels or looks not okay, see a dermatologist.) Body washes, bubble baths, bath bombs, and more can be viewed through the lenses of correspondences, too... the applications and possibilities are endless!
Moisturizers and Lotions are great applications for spells as invisible sigils, while coming in a variety of bases and scents and sorts that can be viewed with correspondences. If you're cleansing your face, be sure to do something to moisturize it as well!
Perfumes or scented oils can be utilized magically via scent correspondences, and crystals or herbs can sometimes be inside the jar or bottle. Some are even roll-on, and can be used to draw sigils or choose specific points to apply to. Dab-on perfumes and oils and such can be used perfectly just as well.
Make up can be a perfect way to apply some variety of glamour spell, even if one does not do much. Color correspondences are great for this, and the same magical approach can be used when painting one's nails or dying one's hair. Especially effective with nails are mindful choices: shapes, sigils, patterns, accents, etc that mean something. Hair styling can also imply a lot, energetically, and impact us just as well; as a hair stylist myself, I have a lot I want to say on the subject... but this is not the time nor place. This post is already quite long.
Routine/Ritual
Anything you do regularly, big or small, can be made into a quick charm or spell with a bit of mindfulness. Walking a regular route daily can become a meditative experience with the right music and mindset... or perhaps a spell casting experience with the right incantation (internally or aloud) or charm. A regular drive can become a charging-up experience on your way to work or school with the right soundtrack and approach. Cleaning your room or taking out the trash is cleansing. You might wish to ground in the garden after dinner every night. You could do something less frequent, weekly visits to a nearby park to connect with nature... Something even less frequent, monthly outings with more purpose... Perhaps an annual big thing, if you like. The possibilities are endless.
The long and the short of it is: Anything can be made magical. Mindfulness can surround us with magic if we will it and live it. What do you already find yourself doing regularly? What don't do you do regularly that you should? Can a little magic help? If not, what blockages are you facing? It's okay to struggle, even when trying desperately to be mindful. The important thing is to start anew at every chance you can. The "I've blown it for the week/month" mindset that we(I?) get with planners or goal-work isn't an option; every day/moment is another chance to check in with ourselves, take a breath, forgive ourselves, and try again.
We all struggle, but I believe in you; thank you to anyone reading this who is still believing in me. I'm working every day to take a breath, do the same, and try again.
Love, Health, and Safety to Everyone!

Top 5 Less Price and Effective Cleansers in Amazon
In Skin Care Routine, cleansing lays the foundation for healthy and radiant skin. Amazon offers a so many options when it comes to facial cleansers. In this post, we'll delve into what cleansers are, how to use them, common ingredients, and unveil the top 5 cleansers available on Amazon that can transform your skincare game.
What is a Cleanser?
Cleansers are skincare products designed to remove dirt, oil, makeup, and impurities from the skin. They help maintain a clean and clear complexion by preventing breakouts and promoting a healthy skin barrier.

MY GOALS
Clear skin.
Excersising.
SKIN
My forehead and nose is very oily. I tried so many products that I felt overwhelmed, so I have started from scratch. I bought a cleanser (Honey Cleansing Foam by Esfolio) and a moisturiser (Light Moisturiser by Simple). Kept it simple by going back to the basics. My nose and forehead wasn't very oily after, but I decided to buy the Salicylic Acid & Sea Kelp Pore Clearing and Oil Control Serum by Selfless to lessen it even more. I bought them from a random store, so I didn't buy them at their original price.
ACHIEVED: This is future me (because I made this post a while ago, so now I am witnessing the results) and my new routine works! I put the product from Selfless only on my forehead and nose. The big pimple at my nose still haven't left, but it is slowly disappearing. But no new pimple came from my nose and forehead and my forehead is now clear! The rest of my face still faced acne, so I decided to put it on my whole face instead. Now no new pimple has appeared!
WORKOUT
THINGS TO IMPROVE: A workout plan. And if I still keep it up throughout my school year, I'll start adding more days.
I started working out twice a week. I should probably plan my excersise better, but right now I'm happy that I have started excersising instead of thinking about it. I was worried that once school starts, I won't have time to work out, but when I think about it, I just need to excersise once during school days and another during the weekend.
I know it may not be a lot for yous, but two is perfect for me right now. As last year, doing it everyday led to my hatred for it. And when I couldn't excersise for one day, I just stop and don't it for weeks. But doing it for only twice a week, really helped the consistency. Also I started doing warm ups before workouts and stretches after I'm done. I'm amazed that I worked out without any injuries last year (I took a break at the start of the year due to reasons I shall not disclose).
ACHIEVED: Consistency and re-found the enjoyment of excersising.
NEW GOALS
Study.
Hair care.
I'll start worrying about my hair once I know my studying and excersising is going well.

The Secret Ritual: Why Beauty & Bath Routines Are More Than Just Self-Care

We often think of bath time as a quick necessity—a chance to get clean after a long day. But what if your bath could be the beginning of something deeper? In today’s fast-paced world, the Beauty & Bath experience is no longer a luxury; it’s a ritual, a moment to recharge, refresh, and restore both body and mind.
In this guide, we’ll explore how bath routines have evolved, how they impact our skin and mental health, and how you can create a routine that transforms your ordinary bathroom into a spa-like sanctuary. From beginner tips to common mistakes, we’ll walk through everything you need to know about creating a Beauty & Bath ritual that sticks.
🌸 Chapter 1: The Origins of Beauty & Bath – More Than Just Clean Skin
Long before modern beauty shelves overflowed with serums and scrubs, ancient civilizations knew the power of water and herbs.
Ancient Egypt: Cleopatra famously bathed in milk and honey to keep her skin soft.
Roman Baths: Public bathhouses were central to Roman social life and wellness.
Japanese Onsen: Natural hot springs are revered for their healing properties.
The idea was simple—cleanliness and beauty go hand in hand, but it’s also about relaxation, spirituality, and healing. Fast forward to today, and we're revisiting this old wisdom with modern tools.
🌿 Chapter 2: Common Misconceptions About Beauty & Bath
Before we dive in, let’s clear up a few myths:
Myth 1: Baths are only for relaxation. Truth: With the right ingredients, a bath can deeply cleanse your pores, balance your skin’s pH, and even reduce inflammation.
Myth 2: Bath products are all the same. Truth: Not all bath bombs or bubble baths are created equal. Some can dry out your skin with synthetic fragrances and colors.
Myth 3: You need expensive products. Truth: You can start a high-quality Beauty & Bath routine with just a few affordable ingredients—Epsom salts, essential oils, and a loofah.
💧 Chapter 3: Why a Bath Is a Secret Skincare Weapon
A good bath does more than just clean your skin—it helps your skincare products work better.
Benefits:
Opens pores: Warm water opens your skin to absorb oils and nutrients.
Removes toxins: Salts and oils draw out impurities.
Soothes inflammation: Ideal for eczema, sunburns, and dry skin.
Boosts circulation: Warm water increases blood flow, giving your skin a natural glow.
Mental clarity: Baths reduce cortisol (stress hormone), which directly affects how your skin behaves.
Combining Beauty & Bath routines can amplify these benefits and help you get glowing skin naturally.
🧼 Chapter 4: Challenges Most People Face in Bath & Beauty Routines
Creating a consistent and beneficial routine isn’t always easy. Let’s look at some common hurdles:
1. Time Constraints
Most people think they don't have time for a long bath. But even a 15-minute soak can be beneficial with the right setup.
2. Skin Sensitivity
Some people experience breakouts or rashes after using scented bath products. Always patch-test and look for natural, fragrance-free alternatives.
3. Over-exfoliation
Using too many scrubs or harsh tools can strip your skin of natural oils. Stick to exfoliating once or twice a week.
4. Confusing Products
With hundreds of bath salts, oils, and foams available, it's easy to get overwhelmed. Simpler is often better—stick to a few well-chosen items.
5. Lack of Routine
A one-off bath is nice, but consistency is key. Make your Beauty & Bath ritual a part of your weekly self-care schedule.
🛁 Chapter 5: A Step-by-Step Guide to the Perfect Beauty & Bath Routine
Here’s how you can create a truly indulgent and beneficial Beauty & Bath experience from start to finish.
Step 1: Set the Mood
Dim the lights or use candles.
Put on calming music or nature sounds.
Set a timer for 20–30 minutes to avoid over-soaking.
Step 2: Prep Your Skin
Remove makeup with a gentle cleanser.
Dry brush your body in long, sweeping motions to stimulate circulation and exfoliate.
Step 3: Choose Your Bath Ingredients
Epsom salt: Relieves sore muscles and detoxifies.
Essential oils: Lavender (calming), eucalyptus (cleansing), rose (hydrating).
Oatmeal: Soothes irritated or itchy skin.
Milk: Lactic acid helps exfoliate and moisturize.
Combine 1 cup Epsom salt + 10 drops essential oil + 1/2 cup milk or oats for the ultimate DIY bath soak.
Step 4: Soak and Breathe
Get in and relax. Let your mind drift.
Focus on deep breathing—inhale through the nose, exhale through the mouth.
Step 5: Exfoliate and Cleanse
After about 10 minutes, use a soft washcloth or loofah.
Use a natural body wash or gentle exfoliating scrub.
Step 6: Finish Strong
Rinse with cool water to close your pores.
Pat dry—don’t rub.
Step 7: Moisturize and Seal the Glow
Apply body oil or lotion while your skin is still damp.
For extra nourishment, use a face mask or hydrating mist post-bath.
🧴 Chapter 6: Must-Have Beauty & Bath Products
You don’t need dozens of products. Here are essentials that work:
Top 5 Bath Essentials:
Epsom Salt – Detox and muscle relief.
Lavender Essential Oil – For calming the senses.
Natural Body Brush – For pre-bath exfoliation.
Unscented Bubble Bath or Cleanser – Keeps your skin safe.
Hydrating Body Lotion – Locks in moisture post-bath.
Top 5 Beauty Must-Haves for Post-Bath:
Face Serum (Vitamin C or Hyaluronic Acid)
Sheet Mask or Clay Mask
Body Butter or Oil (Shea, Coconut, Almond)
Lip Balm or Treatment
Cuticle Oil or Hand Cream
Pro Tip: Keep these items in a basket or tray near your bath for easy access.
🌺 Chapter 7: Making Your Bathroom Your Sanctuary
You don’t need a five-star spa to enjoy a luxury bath. Small touches can turn your bathroom into a personal retreat.
Easy Upgrades:
Use a bath tray for your phone, book, or drink.
Add eucalyptus bundles to your showerhead for aromatherapy.
Keep fluffy towels and robes within reach.
Use a diffuser with essential oils for a spa-like aroma.
Your Beauty & Bath routine should feel like a sacred ritual. Treat it that way, and you'll look forward to it every week.
🧘 Chapter 8: The Mind-Skin Connection
Stress directly impacts skin health. A relaxing bath reduces cortisol, which helps prevent breakouts, dullness, and dryness.
By incorporating deep breathing, mindfulness, and aromatherapy, your Beauty & Bath routine becomes not just skin-deep—it’s soul-deep.
Try this mini mantra during your bath: "I release stress. I embrace peace. My skin and mind are healing."
🔁 Chapter 9: Build Your Routine – And Stick to It
Consistency is key to seeing results.
Weekly Routine Idea:
Monday: Quick 15-minute bath with eucalyptus to detox.
Wednesday: Add milk and honey for a hydrating glow.
Sunday: Full ritual—exfoliate, soak, mask, and meditate.
Stick to a routine for 30 days and track the changes in your skin, sleep, and stress levels.
🧪 Chapter 10: A Real-Life Case Study
Meet Jenna, 35, marketing executive:
Jenna struggled with adult acne, work stress, and insomnia. She began a weekly Beauty & Bath ritual on Sundays.
Her routine:
Dry brushing
Epsom salt with lavender oil soak
Face mask and journal during the bath
Followed by green tea and early sleep
Results after 4 weeks:
Fewer breakouts
Better sleep quality
Felt more relaxed and in control
Jenna now sees her bath as therapy. “It’s not just skin care—it’s soul care,” she says.
✅ Conclusion: Why Everyone Deserves a Beauty & Bath Ritual
Baths aren’t just for getting clean—they're for getting clear. Clear skin, clear mind, clear energy.
In a world that demands so much, taking 30 minutes to soak, breathe, and unwind is not indulgent—it’s necessary. Whether you’re a busy parent, a stressed-out student, or someone who simply wants to feel better in their skin, a Beauty & Bath routine can change how you feel inside and out.
So light that candle. Pour those salts. And give yourself the gift of ritual.
🔄 Quick Recap:
Beauty & Bath routines go beyond hygiene—they nourish mind, body, and skin.
Keep it simple with natural, effective ingredients.
Set the mood and stick to a weekly schedule.
Focus on consistency, not perfection.
If you found this helpful, share it with a friend who deserves a little me-time. Or better yet—invite them to join your next bath ritual night.
You don’t need a spa to glow. You just need a tub, a plan, and a little love.

Best Anti-Aging Face Wash: Fight Wrinkles & Fine Lines
A good skincare routine starts with the right face wash, especially when it comes to fighting signs of aging. Choosing the best anti-aging face wash can make a significant difference in reducing wrinkles, fine lines, and maintaining a youthful glow. A high-quality cleanser not only removes dirt, oil, and impurities but also preps the skin for serums and moisturizers that target aging concerns.
When it comes to effective anti-aging cleansers, Obagi Gentle Cleanser and Obagi Foaming Gel Cleanser stand out as top choices. These products are specifically designed to cleanse without stripping the skin, making them ideal for individuals with aging skin who need hydration and nourishment.
Why Choose Obagi Face Wash for Anti-Aging?
Obagi Gentle Cleanser is formulated for normal to dry skin types. It contains soothing ingredients that cleanse the skin while maintaining its natural moisture balance. Aging skin tends to lose hydration, leading to increased fine lines and wrinkles. This cleanser helps to remove dirt and impurities while keeping the skin soft and supple. It is gentle enough for daily use and is an excellent option for those with sensitive skin who need a mild yet effective cleansing solution.
For those with normal to oily skin, Obagi Foaming Gel Cleanser is a great alternative. It provides a deep cleanse by removing excess oil and makeup without leaving the skin feeling tight or dry. The foaming formula helps clear clogged pores, which is essential in preventing breakouts and maintaining a smooth complexion. This cleanser contains soothing ingredients that work well for those experiencing both acne and early signs of aging.
How a Good Cleanser Helps Fight Wrinkles & Fine Lines
Aging skin requires a face wash that does more than just cleanse. The best anti-aging face wash should support skin renewal and provide hydration. Dry and dehydrated skin can accentuate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, making them more noticeable. A good cleanser will cleanse the skin while ensuring that it stays nourished and balanced.
Using Obagi Gentle Cleanser or Obagi Foaming Gel Cleanser daily can help maintain the skin’s elasticity, making it look firmer and more youthful. Proper cleansing also helps remove environmental pollutants that contribute to premature aging. By clearing out impurities, these cleansers allow anti-aging serums and moisturizers to work more effectively.
Choosing the Right Face Wash for Your Skin Type
Selecting the best anti-aging face wash depends on your skin type. If you have dry or sensitive skin, Obagi Gentle Cleanser is an excellent choice as it hydrates while cleansing. If you have combination or oily skin, Obagi Foaming Gel Cleanser is the perfect option to control excess oil and prevent breakouts.
Incorporating a high-quality face wash into your skincare routine is a crucial step in maintaining a youthful appearance. Whether you choose Obagi Gentle Cleanser or Obagi Foaming Gel Cleanser, both provide effective cleansing while supporting anti-aging benefits. Start your journey to healthier, younger-looking skin today with the right cleanser.

Achieving clean, glowing skin is never an accident. With the exception of a lucky few blessed with special genes, it’s something you have to actively work for. The key lies in intentional, consistent rituals that elevate you to elite status in the clean skin club. It’s clear: healthy, radiant skin is earned, not given. As spring blooms, your skin will need some rejuvenation. The clean skin club might sound like an exclusive concept, but it’s really about nurturing healthy skin that not only feels good but also looks effortlessly fresh. Spring brings more sunshine, fluctuating temperatures, and a natural boost in skin cell turnover. As your skin adapts to this change, it calls for moderate hydration, sun protection, and gentle exfoliation to shed the remnants of winter’s dullness. While there’s no magic formula for perfect skin, simple, efficient adjustments can make a world of difference in keeping your complexion clear and vibrant. The best part? You don’t need expensive treatments or an overly complicated routine. What truly matters is consistency. Make a few key tweaks, and your skin will thrive this season. Here’s how to hop on the clean skin club like a ringleader this spring… #1. Adopt seasonal changes Photo: Thirdman/Pexels Winter often leaves skin feeling flaky and dull, making spring the perfect time to switch to lighter, more hydrating products. Replace heavy creams with gel-based moisturizers and opt for a gentle exfoliator to slough off those dead skin cells. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid and niacinamide to help keep your skin plump, hydrated, and glowing with life. #2. Wash your face Photo: Ron Lach/Pexels Cleansing your skin both morning and night is essential for removing dirt, oil, and bacteria that accumulate throughout the day. A gentle, sulfate-free cleanser helps maintain your skin’s natural balance without stripping away moisture. If you have dry skin, go for a hydrating formula that replenishes moisture, while those with oily or acne-prone skin will benefit from a gel-based or foaming cleanser to keep things fresh and clear. #3. Take off your makeup Photo: Ron Lach/Pexels Leaving makeup on overnight clogs pores and can lead to irritation. Even if you’re exhausted and just want to crawl into bed, take a moment to remove it with micellar water, a cleansing balm, or a gentle face wash. For an extra layer of cleanliness, try double cleansing—starting with an oil-based cleanser to break down makeup and following with a water-based cleanser to ensure your skin is thoroughly clean before bed. #4. Hydrate consciously Photo: Thirdman/Pexels When that girl reveals her secret and tells you she drinks plenty of water, believe her. Staying hydrated is key to keeping your skin youthful and earning your spot in the elite clean skin club. But hydration doesn’t stop there. Pair it with a good moisturizer to lock in that moisture. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides, or glycerin, which help strengthen your skin barrier and prevent dryness or irritation. #5. Leverage sunscreen Photo: Tara Winstead/Pexels Spring means more time outdoors, so sun protection is essential. A broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher protects against harmful UV rays, helping to reduce the risk of sunspots, wrinkles, and skin damage. Be sure to apply sunscreen every morning, even on cloudy days, and reapply throughout the day if you’re spending time outdoors. #6. Watch your pillowcase Photo: Cottonbro Studio/Pexels Dirt, oil, and bacteria accumulate on your pillowcase and transfer to your skin as you sleep. Changing your pillowcase at least once or twice a week helps prevent breakouts and irritation. For an extra boost, consider silk pillowcases—they’re gentler on the skin and reduce friction, making them a great choice for healthy, glowing skin. #7. Don’t ignore what you eat Photo: Nathan Cowley/Pexels We all know that a balanced diet is key to maintaining healthy skin. Foods rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and healthy fats are essential for achieving that natural glow. So, load up on leafy greens, berries, avocados, nuts, and fatty fish like salmon. To truly earn your place in the clean skin club, cut back on processed foods and sugar, which can trigger inflammation and breakouts. #8. Hands off Photo: Gabriella Ally/Pexels Touching your face constantly transfers bacteria and oil from your hands, which can clog pores and lead to breakouts. Make it a habit to keep your hands clean and resist the urge to pick at pimples, as this can prevent scarring and further irritation. #9. Scrub it lovingly Photo: Amar Preciado/Pexels Exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells and promotes cell turnover, but over-exfoliating can harm your skin barrier. Stick to gentle exfoliants, like lactic acid or polyhydroxy acids (PHAs), two to three times a week to maintain smooth, radiant skin. #10. Manage stress Photo: cottonbro studio/Pexels Stress can trigger breakouts and skin flare-ups by raising cortisol levels. To keep your skin in check, find healthy ways to manage stress, whether through exercise, meditation, journaling, or simply getting enough sleep. A restful night allows your skin to repair itself, helping you wake up with a fresh, rejuvenated complexion. Bonus: Skincare isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. It’s about finding what works for you. The best routine is one that aligns with your skin type and lifestyle. Experiment with different products, but avoid switching too often—consistency is key to achieving long-term results. Spring is the perfect time to refresh your habits and commit to clearer, healthier skin. With the right steps, you can join the clean skin club and keep your skin looking its best. Focus on simple, effective changes, and your skin will thank you in the long run.
