Daily excerpt from today's writing, chapter 84 of Underline the Black:
‘We’ve had a leak of information, and the local paper, and The Swan River Gazette have both published articles.’ ‘Tell me.’ Faber sighed. ‘Rumours that you’re in a relationship with an omega, after refusing to leave your sick alpha partner, who died from cancer. They’ve made a point of saying that you refusing to leave and let him be with an omega is the reason his cancer accelerated so quickly and he was resistant to treatment.’ ‘He wasn’t-’ Gary forced himself to stop, and then looked over at Efnisien, who’d gone a bit pale. Gary realised he’d spiked his pheromones without thinking. He placed a soothing hand on Efnisien’s shin where it was up on the couch, and then stood and walked into his office. He closed the door behind him. ‘I’ve sent you the articles,’ Faber said. ‘I’m relatively certain – based on the lack of information - that the rumour is from one of our contracted staff who don’t understand the situation, and that the leak isn’t from any of our full-timers, or any of the alphas or omegas on site. But beyond that, the newspapers won’t reveal their sources, as always.’ ‘Damn it,’ Gary said. ‘I know for a fact they have better things to report on.’

Boiling Point
Tumblr media
Movies watched in 2024
Boiling Point (2021, UK)
Director: Philip Barantini
Writers: Philip Barantini & James Cummings
Mini-review:
This certainly lives up to its title: the tension slowly builds and builds until all hell breaks loose during the final act. I'm a huge fan of long/single takes, and this movie makes the most of that format. It's amazing how every single second matters in some way or another, regardless of how unimportant or casual it may seem. And of course, pulling off a 90-minute long take means both cast and crew are firing on all cylinders. I can't even begin to imagine how many hours of rehearsals and work went into making Boiling Point, but I hope they know it was absolutely worth it.

Spencer Sisters There is Something Missing | TV Landscape
I’ve spoken about the new show Spencer Sister in the past. I said I was interested and excited for a female lead detective show that will be humorous. With the cancelation of NCIS Los Angeles I felt the need to bridge that gap. Truthfully my desire to watch the latest season of NCIS Los Angeles is non-existent. I miss Hetty, Nel, and Eric. They were the people that softened the intense action for

FORCE MAJAURE (2014) Grade: B
One of the best family drama movies that really shows how fragile a tight family could unravel. Surprisingly had some comedic moments. Foreign film that translates like any great comedy or drama should.

Der Junge dem die Welt gehört (O-Ton)...
Tumblr media

Book 052
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
Tom Stoppard
Faber and Faber 1967
While this is one of my favorite plays, that isn’t really the reason I keep this book around. I mostly keep it around because I really love the cover design. My photo really doesn’t do the colors justice.

Hi! number one faber fan here, that exerpt of 104 you just posted has me ripping my hair out! my boyyyyyy! he said ittttt he admitted it, not willingly, but I can't imagine that was going to happen
Hi anon!
We do have a bit more Faber content coming in the last quarter of the story! Have to get his storyline all set up for Underline the Red, and there's some drama coming his way (there always is lol)
And yeah, him opening up to Efnisien is necessary, but he manages to do it in a way where he also just completely locks up afterwards and like... he allows absolutely no forward growth in the area of his feelings for Caleb or really any of it! Poor Efnisien wants to help him so much, but Faber is a snarly closed book on personal matters!

I must know the answer to 25
[25. Does your OC have any OCs? What are they like?
Oooo... I actually have two answers for this lol. Firstly, in the canon timeline Oswald writes operas to delight to delight The Empress' Court, and only to delight The Empress' Court. Imagine royal settings, big powdered wigs, stories involving drama between nobles of all kinds. Any working class characters that are present fit the stereotype of the "hard-working poor" who pulled themselves up by their bootstraps.
At the same times his plays are considered "progressive and diverse", marking some of the only plays in Court that actually have roles reserved for Rattus Faber actors. His latest playwriting feat is titled The Lost Earring; or Whatever Do Those Rats Get Up To? and one Ms Silvia Salcedo ( @neathyingenue) tore it to absolute shreds in her newspaper.
Secondly, in modern AU he shows up to a DnD session playing a human bard. Naturally, everyone assume Oswald is going to be bringing his usual charming self to the role and before session 1 even begins, there are dragon-fucking jokes galore. Cue the surprise on everybody's faces when he ends up playing a woefully shy poet who's searching the land for inspiration so she can write the perfect poem. A poem that she can finally propose to her lovely girlfriend with. I imagine said girlfriend eventually tells her that there's no need for finding the perfect words, because what they share is already the most perfect thing she can imagine...
Yeah, Oswald's a romantic.]
