I hate yutamaki because it makes perfect sense. The same ahole who, according to an interview that I don't remember the source of, was supposed to be the actual protagonist of jjk. The original concept of jjk was the 'basic as hell, meek n mild, forced to greatness trope'. But gege's editor was like; that's fucking boring bro. We gotta capitalize on the female demographic market.

Hence, the actual jjk we know-are obsessed with-and resent so fucking much. But let me get back to what I mean when I say that yutamaki makes perfect sense, and that is why I refuse to give Gege the satisfaction.

Yuta's whole narrative plot WAS that shitty fridged wife/fridged gf trope, and Maki had the fridged/sister trope. In essence, it's the quintessential element of shonen and Japanese society, the exploitation, objectification, and disdain of the feminine (!)

Look at what was done to the singular consecutive appearance female character who was supposed to represent healthy femininity and self-improvement. Nobara (my love!) was headshot and put out of commission with alacrity! And even she* wasn't narrated to do much! All that potential wasted!

The subtext (via narrative of Utahime, Shoko, Meimei) portraying the female sorcerers as ppl who were passive* and in compliance to the establishment...!? Then the only special grade female jujutsu sorceror, Yuki, who is slandered in fanon/fandom as someone who ran from her responsibilities and instigated Suguru geto into *pumped up kicks*ing a village, was killed amost as fast as she reappeared, making her attempt at improvement and progress seem *inconsequential*.

And then the inclusion and continued survival of Kirara, a transwoman character who was defiant, brave, and taking initiative in the face of said establishment. Like, you're not SLICK gege!!!

Don't even get me STARTED on how inharmonious the setting is when viewed through the lens of Buddhism and daoism, as per the influences represented in the work. How the hell does it make sense that Yin would be more powerful in men vs. women!?

Wouldn't it be just the fucking opposite!?
