Yaaa I got back into reading recently! I worked at a bookstore for a long time years ago but then I fell out of reading until roughly 2-3 months ago but we're so back ashskdgl

Hmm top 5 off the top of my head (in no order as always)

1. Fool's Assassin by Robin Hobb - 2nd book in the first trilogy of The Realm of the Elderlings series and I just reread it, and I know there's even better to come after but I do love Hobb's character work. Takes everything from the first book and makes it better (well, the romance in this book is a lil drawn out lol but it's my only complaint) and the ending just crushes you fr. I love my bisexual disaster Fitzchivalry Farseer <3

2. The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch - Heist book with great found family, and with some really exceptional humor and worldbuilding. It's not often I laugh out loud at books but this book consistently has me laughing the jokes in it I still think about sometimes lol. But amongst the humor it has a really big bang of an ending that's quite heavy that shook me to my core lmao it's amazing I 100% reccomend!

3. The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss - Yeah I know the basic adult fantasy pick but there's a reason people are screaming crying throwing up over the fact it's been-oh my god it's been nearly 14 years since the last one. The characters are great, the world is interesting, but the prose and how Rothfuss is able to write about music was really what hits home and makes it a favorite. Love this book fr fr

4. A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K Le Guin- Do you ever wish the Harry Potter books were well written and interesting and not written by a shitty person? This is the book for you! This is a very classic fantasy, with wizards and dragons and magic school, it's a very classic story that's just well done. I would recommend really anything by Le Guin.

5. The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien - You already know why this is on here, it's Lord of the Rings lol

Honorable mentions: The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang, Discworld series by Terry Pratchett (Wyrd Sisters almost made it on but I gotta read more of the series lol), Kindred by Octavia Butler, Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson, Uprooted by Naomi Novik, Circe by Madeline Miller, Darker Shades of Magic series by V.E. Yes I do love reading.

So firstly I'm mainly interested in romance genre and since I post about particularly abt it so u must be interested in the same genre. (Im assuming that lol! I hope I'm ryt)

So here's my recommendation with tropes:

1. The Folk Of The Air trilogy (Enemies to lovers, powerful and cunning female lead, fairie world. It has twists and the best endings istg!)

2. The Shatter Me series. (Enemies to lovers, i can't really tell much or it'll be a spoiler. The characters are well written and the style is quite unique. Dystopian world. Powerful (literally) female lead.) (+Aaron Warner.)

3. Six of Crows duology. (Honestly, just read it. The plot, the twists, the unhinged scenes, the writing, the characters, the heartbreak, the backstories, the jokes, the friendships, the romance, it's ALL WORTH IT!) (+The world building is 🔥✨)

4. The Inheritance Games trilogy. (Riddles and twistssss, so many of em. Love triangle, but trust me, it's well written. The female lead is a smartass.)

5. Icebreaker (College hockey romance. Enemies to lovers (sorta). Duo povs. I absolutely love both the female MC and the male. It's an easy read and overall, a great book.)

6. The Deal (Again, College hockey romance. It's funny and an easy read. Both characters are adorable.)

7. The Addicted Series/ The Callaway Sisters Series (This series has three couples (all connected), the first couple (sorta the main couple) have 5 books and the other two couples have two spin-off books each. Then there's a epilogue book having pov of six of em. And yeah just read it. Found family, funny, love, heartbreak.) (My personal fav couple: Rose and Conner)

Since I'm broke most of the times so I honestly just go to the Google and search ' xyz book pdf download ' and every book I've listed above is available (tho a few might be hard to find but i could send u some links if u reach out to me with the particular books names).

Now, u didn't ask for this but I'm sharing this just so u can have a better ebook reading experience. Download Moon+ reader, trust me, it's the best.

You can arrange your books like this^ (it's fking beautiful!)

Am I the only one who didn't like that scene at all? It's because Feyre used Lucien's kindness and put him in a position where Tamlin could hurt him. She knows that Lucien is a victim of Tamlin's abuse and has experienced abused even before Tamlin, yet it was a scene that we were suppose to think "YAAASS GIRL"

Remember in acomaf (or acowar idk) when Feyre went to her room, she felt such a powerful force coming from Tamlin that could've KILLED a human and Lucien was in that room with him? Did Feyre just forget about that?

Sjm writes scenes that are suppose to be female empowerment but just aren't. That scene from Acosf of Nesta going off on Tamlin? I don't even like Tamlin but that entire scene felt like Sjm just wanted us to fangirl over a "badass" Nesta. ESPECIALLY when she mentioned things that didn't even happen in the previous books (= Tamlin didn't ask Nesta first to go with him nor did he even look at her in acotar so wtf is Sjm on about?! What was the goal??). I thought we moved on from Tamlin and him being more self aware of what he's done after acofs but apperantly Sjm just brings him in so the girls can have a punching bag and show off how badass they are. She does the same thing with the Illyrians and I bet my ass she'll have some Illyrians insult Bryce and Bryce will go all girlboss and the fandom be like "YAAAS QUEEN".

I'm with you. It was only 15 or so pages prior to that when Lucien told Feyre he had to perform the Rite with Ianthe and Feyre acknowledges that lines had been badly blurred for him. Yet she turns around knowing that and still uses him in a somewhat suggestively sexual manner in order to make Tamlin mad. Not that Lucien probably thought it was sexual however Feyre purposely staged it so it did look questionable to others. Then knowing that Tamlin has a temper and knowing how bad things were when she was gone, knowing that he has lashed out at Lucien before, yet she still didn't care what her scheme would do to Lucien? I know her only goal was to bury the Spring Court but.....I do find it ironic that Feyre was questioning Lucien's loyalty to her and their friendship later in the series when it's pretty evident Feyre wasn't all that concerned about what would happen to Lucien. And the difference is, Lucien was really between a rock and a hard place when it came to Feyre and Tamlin, where you could tell he was torn on how to handle things, whereas Feyre made the decisions she did for revenge and it didn't seem like she cared all that much or felt all that guilty over using him as a pawn. I still like Feyre however the line where Lucien tells her that she was a better friend to him than he was to her makes my insides shrivel up a bit because it's so untrue. Every decision he had to make was a difficult one. Regardless of how Tamlin acted in the months after UTM, Lucien had spent centuries feeling like he owed Tamlin loyalty for giving him a home, loyalty to Tamlin for being his friend when his family wanted nothing to do with him. It's a little odd that anyone would expect him to bend over backwards for a female he'd only known for about a year when it conflicted with what was best for the Court and a friend who was also his High Lord. Not to mention Lucien suddenly found himself on the end of Tamlin's threats and abuse when he did disagree. The decision Feyre made to use Lucien was for selfish reasons only, she could have come up with a scheme that didn't further put strain on Lucien's relationship with Tamlin and come with risk to his own safety.

YAAA so the whole gang is knux, js, mighty, ray, charmy, espio, and vector. charmy hasn’t gotten back from his colony in my archie reading so idk saffron yet, but considering her position in the story as charmys fiancé and that my version would def have charmy still be 6 (and not a prince), i’m not currently planning on including her but idk maybe her character will really speak to me and ill find a way to rewrite her backstory and fit her in another way.

mighty and ray’s meeting story is a little different, i still like the idea of ray not having any living family left and mighty rescuing him, but instead of the whole prison camp thing i think ray was a survivor in a roboticized town that the chaotix visited (without needing to deal w the echidnaopolis/dingos/good-god-what-is-that debacles they would prob be a bit closer tied to the freedom fighters, but i still Do want to give them their own unique facet of the story instead of just ffs version2. still a wip.). maaaaaybe ray reminds mighty of tilly and thats part of the reason why he takes ray in, but tbh i’m not a big fan of the whole “i only (started to) care about this person because they remind me of someone else i loved.” especially in light of rays anxiety about mighty getting tilly back and being scared tilly would replace him. so still not set in stone why mighty would decide to invite ray to join them. maybe it was just his big ole eyes. he looked very polite

something i kinda wanna explore is the origins of the detective agency, i don’t think id try to involve everyone in it though. it would still just be espio charmy and vector. the three of them eventually move off the island for business reasons, which would lead into why they’re so strapped for cash in a way that doesn’t seem to be affecting knuckles mighty js and ray. because the former three are actually trying to enter an at least somewhat capitalist society (sorry). i’m not sure how it would end up being those 3 specifically though or why they would decide to become detectives. i’m coming up with nearly all of this on the spot because you prompted me to even think hard about it (thank you)

charmy def only came along because when push comes to shove hes their little brother and they couldnt leave him behind, maybe it was esp and vec’s idea to begin with because they started accidentally solving cases and found they were actually good at it, and kinda similar to how they got a lot of work after the metal virus helping ppl find loved ones, they figured they could be of similar help with deroboticized mobians, and the other four just respectfully declined (knux and js for obvious reasons, and mighty just didnt think he was cut out for that sort of thing. and ray is sticking w mighty).

js and knux are def the two most tightly rooted to the island, but js is more prone to cabin fever than knuckles is so she does leave pretty often. usually she tries to get knuckles to come with her and someone else will watch the emerald, but even though knuckles DOES trust his friends he gets kinda antsy if hes away from it for too long or too often, so a lot of the time she leaves by herself or with someone else. archie!chaotix kind of put the story in a position where knuckles didnt have to worry about the master emerald quite as much because he had a bunch of friends who lived on the island and could cycle through guard duty when he wasnt there. it wasnt a BAAAD thing per se but the emerald is such a key part of knuckles character that i feel like if he no longer has to bear that weight alone then the core of his character is lost a bit ToT if you know what im saying. so i dont want him to be quite so willing to just let someone else handle it.

im on the fence about espio's spy backstory w the shinobi, i enjoyed READING it but idk if id want to carry through with it. the idea of him learning stuff that he just keeps from people could be recycled somehow though

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your writing so much!!! The story's flow, the little interactions between MC and Ajax and literally everything else is so well-thought-out <3 Your wording is so very pretty as well, it really made me feel like a princess, and brought MC to life perfectly :)

I read E V E R Y T H I N G from the beginning to chapter 30 in one sitting (took nearly 2 hours if you were wondering, I wish academic reading was this easy ;-;). It's funny how I got to around chapter 18, I thought that was bad. Like, really bad. I then found out the pain only intensifies, but it's so good!!! I only cried a few times, got jumpscared with chapter 31, cried some more, and now I'm here :D

The character arcs for MC and Ajax are so beautiful too!! It's absolutely seamless, and it's really amazing to see them slowly grow familiar to and fall in love with each other more n more <3 What they did what really understandable, but that does not excuse a certain someone from being an ass >:( I love our Princess so much, Ajax definitely doesn't deserve her and everything she did for him, especially after that trick he pulled in chapter 30 and the whole Lumine drama </3 I would say she needs to give him a hard time before forgiving him, but ah.

And there are so many questions left. What will our family and friends from Liyue do? Maybe this explains MC's past vision of Zhongli with the unknown woman? I thought that meant he'd move on from MC eventually but I absolutely did NOT expected this :( There's also vision of Ajax under the tree... It'd be so heartbreaking if MC first thought he was scheming to hurt her and her people, when he's just really praying to have her back. I think he never learnt about Duke Maxim too. If he can't even do that right for our Princess I'll be so mad xD

At first I thought Billy was a jerk, but the way he hold his feelings for Daisy because of sake of his family with Camila is totally manly, he will comeback for his family, his 'home' anyway so he hold his lust & desire. He has no choice to stay in a band with his muse and inspiration, Daisy for the sake of money and popularity, that's his very basic needs, even his family knew these needs. But he tried his best to hold his feelings for Daisy. For all activities, he can't control his feelings to not loving Daisy. He spends most of his time with her. Love comes out of habit. He still love Camila and that's why he feel guilty by creating a lot of songs to Camila. Even after the band fell apart, Billy still hide his feelings for Daisy deep deep deep down on his heart, but still stay and love his family with Camila.

I love Daisy, I love how she survived from her trauma being abandoned by her mother, she always thought that she doesn't deserve anything in the world, she scared even she needs pills to release her anxiety. And she found Billy as her cure, she found that Billy has a lot of commons. Even after this, she get hurt again as Billy is a married man although he also feels the spark with Daisy. Daisy tried to survived and healed all over again. Even it's so understandable when she disappeared herself when she scared of the big thing, something new in her life, something that actually she always dreamed of since she was little girl to be rockstar, but also she scared of being abandon again by Billy. Even it's hurts, the way she hold her ego about Billy and realised that she was not home for Billy is so selfless, even she comeback to the band, get along with Billy and his family, but still hold her feeling. Well I wouldn't say that her escape to drugs and alcohol was right tho. Hehe

Camila has big big heart. She know that she can own Billy completely, that's why she always accepted Billy when he's comeback. She being selfless by giving Billy a chance to chasing his dream to be a rockstar. She always gave a chance for Billy because knowing the path that Billy choose and it's consequences. She trusted Billy, wherever Billy goes, he always comeback 'home'. And until she dying, her last message is for Billy and Daisy be together. Camila knows the best that Billy loves another woman besides her, but since Billy didn't do anything about it, it's good thing that at very end Billy didn't have sex with Daisy and being unfaithful, Billy tried his best didn't ruin their marriage and Camila still feel loved by Billy, that would be enough. She know that she can own 100% of Billy's love.
