okay it’s come to my attention that absolutely NONE OF YOU know ANYTHING about how cutie marks work. let me say this simply. a cutie mark isn’t a job being assigned, it’s a special TALENT OR SKILL that the pony enjoys. Most of the time it has a directly transferable job for that skill, like if you enjoy baking and are super good at it WOW! baker. If you are really good at writing and telling stories, author. However, there are some cutie marks that could go multiple ways.

twilight sparkle has exceptional magic ability, so she became a scholar, but she could really do anything that required a good magic skill. same with rainbow dash, her weather controlling job isn’t directly linked to her cutie mark, but it does fit the bill for the job.

i was posed the question of what would a murderer pony’s cutie mark be and wouldn’t everyone know. NO. if somehow murder were to be a special skill, the cutie mark might be something like a knife or a shovel. other ponies might just assume you’re good at cooking or gardening. now with cutie marks like apple jacks, their family has a ‘green thumb’ kind of deal so obviously the cutie mark would be hereditary.

so, the reason i made this post. walter white pony’s cutie mark would NOT be blue crystals. it would be a CHEMISTRY FLASK.

after giving it some thought for quite a long time, i ultimately decided i won’t be writing for the LSDLN cast anymore as i lost interest in the fandom, and in the actors themselves. i still cherish all the memories i gained within the fandom, and the PRECIOUS mutuals i earned from it—which, i will obviously remain in touch with my LSDLN cast fandom moots. i probably won’t delete the drafts i have of the requests i received from this fandom just to keep it as memories.

i’ll keep posting and interacting at my own pace, but i just wanted to express my decision. i hope you guys —those from said fandom that still follow me— can understand 🩷

The problem here is that, I think there are some people in the fandom trying to stir drama or just straight up seek a way of causing problems around here, twists people’s words and harass writers by asking the exact same already answered questions over and over again just to annoy. I already said everything I had to say, and just because I don’t want to talk about it anymore, it doesn’t change what I think about the topic—it’s like, yea we talked about it already,, move on because we are going to achieve literally nothing by having me repeat the same things in hundreds of ask box messages.

And either way, it’s the character he portrays that I enjoy now, not the actor himself—and that is perfectly fine. Best we can do with these people is ignore them, massive block, and continue to stay in our happy little fantasy world. They are weird for just thinking they are going to get anything with harassing someone online in a fandom of dragons...

I feel like this is an unpopular opinion, but more people should read incomplete/unfinished/in-progress fanfics.

I've noticed this huge trend where creators on tiktok and tumblr who will be explaining how to use Archive Of Our Own to new users and they always say "and make sure to scroll down and click completed only" or how people will go out of their way to mention they only read completed fics 'because they were traumatized when they forgot to check the dates and didn't realize this fic hadn't been updated since 2012'.

The thing is - I think by not engaging with and/or actively avoiding writer's WIPs readers are potentially adding to the aggregate of abandoned works. Now this obviously isn't the case for all abandoned fics, anything from major life events, to loss of interest, to getting busy can be a reason for a fic getting abandoned - but at least on some level I just know that writers are quitting while they're ahead when they aren't garnering any response or feedback because reading WIPs has become unpopular. If you're worried about reading something that hasn't been updated since 2012 then you can use the date updated function to sort out old fics.

Anyways, support your favorite fanfic writers by engaging with their WIPs.
