Aemond moves closer to the king’s bed.

Aemond reluctantly complies.

Viserys drops something round and slimy into the prince’s palm.

Aemond stares at it, coldly as it clicks in his mind what he’s holding.

“My eye.” Viserys interrupted. “It fell out. And I want you to have it.”

Aemond is enraged. He chucks the eyeball across the room.

“How dare you! That was a thoughtful gift!” Viserys is angry.

Viserys gets up, despite his bed sores and rotting flesh he staggers to his feet, embracing his son.

“It’s free real estate.” Viserys whispers.

Aemond moans. “Father…”

Viserys sticks his tongue into aemond’s eye socket, swirling it around, getting the flavour of brain juice and spinal fluids. Aemond does the same, tongue fucking the empty socket of his father.

Viserys dies that night, his final wish being that the child now in aemond’s belly one day be the future of the realm, the prince who was promised.
