I wonder if you'll know. I wonder if you'll see. I wonder if I could ever tell you how and why it went wrong.

For years at certain times, we meet and I gaze upon you, a sight that I'm beholden to and say "Hey, nice to see you." Not that often but enough. Although, my heart still beats in a rapid pace as you make your way to me. Perhaps in different contexts now. I remembered those times when I welcomed you eagerly after awaiting your arrival so I can recollect every significant instances, happenings, and memories that I taken in effort to remember to you, for you. And after we part once more, I would feel my face smiling for I think I did the best I could with my time with you. Although, did you know? My heart may be more peaceful but I feel the brewing of a storm in the recesses of my mind waiting to be unleashed and surround me to drown out my voice as I weaken in your presence. And that, I did.

At some point, my heart beats with a much visible and realised trepidation. When had it started? Perhaps it was when we met, I could not find what used to be familiar. Perhaps it was when I struggled to find any relations of the topics to you. Maybe it was when I did not catch on to what was significant anymore. Possibly, it was when I cared less about those as well. Quite likely it might be all of those. In truth, I know.

I can not smile and be confident in your presence. I was constantly in doubt, in denial, and later or rather now, in grief.

I wondered if it was my fault, my fault in failing to understand you more and deeply, to realise that there were problems I did not bother to fix, to recognise the little things that have expanded this gap, and to care for you as much I should have. And perhaps it's more certain that yes, it was my fault.

I hope, in time, I'll be able to see you and greet you once more. It may be a bit unlike the past, but let's say it's proof of a renewed future soon turned present.

"The resident PR Management ghoul" I have this headcanon that after Era 3 Special got transferred to human/ghoul resources and now has to deal with endless questions from siblings of sin (and a specific cardinal) about the ministry and its ghouls. Every week there's a new issue that he has to fix because some of the ghouls felt a bit mischievous. He's still considered as Sister Imperator's lapdog though

Here is an idea for you 🤗- Beach scene but instead of playing dogfighting they're playing the twister game without the mat... (or they "forgot" they were playing Mav's game and got "distracted" and decided to play another game meanwhile the rest of the Daggers are 👀/🙄)
