I did this tag a year ago (almost to the day) but some things have changed since then, so here we go! Though I will point out that there are a couple of ideas for fics/WIPs that didn't make it onto this list, simply because I don't have a file for them yet or because they've been on hiatus for several years. I want the list to be as accurate as possible, so I'm only adding ones I'm currently thinking about working on. The ones that have one or more chapters posted already will be linked to.

I think what really drew me in to twilight when I was a teenager is that, despite the epic vampire whirlwind romance, the teenagers actually do feel like they have REAL lives, and it’s a real shame that that doesn’t translate to the movies (bc a movie with pointless scenes of the main character making enchiladas & doing homework would be crazy boring). I like that Edward enjoys skipping class to sit in his car & listen to Linkin Park CDs, I like that Bella spends her weekends doing laundry and drafting her Macbeth essay, and on sunny days she lays out a blanket to read in her backyard. I like that she drives to her best friend’s house after school to watch him fix cars and do homework together, I like that they have joint family dinners that are just eating spaghetti on fold-out chairs on the deck. I like that her friend group piles in mike’s mom’s van to go hang out at the beach, and when she brings a camera to school they all start a “picture war.” I like that she has a part-time retail job and sits at the kitchen table filling out uni applications with her boyfriend. It definitely loses that quality around eclipse when the focus has to stay on the actual plot, but I like that twilight & new moon feel pretty grounded in what introverted lower-middle class small-town teenagers are actually doing.

Keeffe's script is sharp and funny but it's also #unashamedly complex; the plot is labyrinthine‚ underneath the simple conceit‚ and never feels the need to spoonfeed what's happening and #why. topped off with a great moody synth score that's sparingly but effectively used. happy to say this one lives up to the hype #and Derek Thompson‚ as he so often was‚ is brilliant. between this and his tv work from the era (Harry's Game and The Price especially) he #really had the makings of a true star (but if he was happy in Casualty all those years‚ so be it)

i could write an essay on how the character’s clothes in one piece show their emotional journey. i think about it so much.

#ESPECIALLY NAMI!!!#like. just look at her romance dawn outfit vs literally everything else she wears #yes she’s covering the tattoo but like. she’s unbothered in only a bra in little garden. she wears just a bikini top in skypiea.#she’s finally free and her clothes symbolize that!!! she’s able to wear what she wants instead of something to either hide or showcase the #tattoo. and once she has the coverup she’s almost always showing it.#i’m tired idk if this is cohesive but. i think about her so much.#where’s the post about asl wearing each other’s colors.#and how it shows who they’re thinking about. sabo’s only blue bc of amnesia. luffy’s always wearing all three but it’s really emphasized #post timeskip. ace has little if any blue because that’s how he dealt with the grief of sabo’s ‘death’#and robin wears mostly dull colors pre timeskip and the first time we see her again her clothes are bright #she wears yellow in skypiea (fun with her new captain!) but it’s a dull yellow. enies lobby is all black. she gets some color back in #thriller bark. brook also comes back after the timeskip with brighter colors bc he’s not lonely anymore.#i’m stopping here but i could keep going.#one piece

I was wondering whether you'd have to pay a fortune for the HZD Remaster on a PS5, but apparently, if you already own it on PS4, the upgrade will only cost you $9.99.

Which, I'm sure, is great news for those who are planning to upgrade it. I'm still thinking.

#horizon zero dawn remastered #horizon zero dawn #i think the graphics are already good enough on ps4 #i'm really not sure this upgrade was necessary other than for better animations maybe #bc in the original hzd the animations were a bit clunky at times i'll admit. they looked more realistic in hfw #but i'm more concerned about how some characters are going to look there maybe (how shallow of me lol)#especially nil. because he's my favorite side character. and i'll admit i didn't much like his hfw design despite everything #so i don't know #i'd love to make new hzd gifs though :D with the upgraded graphics and all #but that remains to be seen #i think i'll wait until i see actual gameplay of the remaster first. then i'll decide

you know what I really wanna remake those houses from Far Cry New Dawn in fallout 4, I think they have such a cool look and would fit right in tbh

15. unpopular opinion you have about anything related to zombies?

i'm gonna do a few cause i have a lot of thoughts heheh

firstly, addison isn't as annoying or unlikable as y'all keep saying she is. i get it, she's overly optimistic, very cheerful, and can do annoying things sometimes. news flash, all of these characters have at least one of those traits too (and some have even worse ones)

secondly, the only reason some of you guys refer to zombies as a white savior franchise is because meg is white. i know that sounds stupid and redundant but like i know that at least half of you would stop calling it a white savior franchise if carla or kylee (or any other non-white actress) was cast as addison instead

and lastly, just because a lot of the original trilogy cast won't be in z4 does not necessarily mean that it will be bad, if it is then whatever, but we won't know till it comes out (and i'm saying this as someone whose favorite character is bonzo (along with zeddison but ya know, they're in the movie) so if i can chill, so can you guys)

thinking about how way to dawn really was like the most iconic keyblade ever that so neatly summarized riku's journey and ideals and had so much meaning and history and so uniquely his and kh3 really threw it away for a fucking car key

#katie rambles #ITS BEEN YEARS I CAN SAY IT RIKU'S NEW KEYBLADE IS DUMB #kh3 did riku incredibly dirty actually on a number of levels #i dont care if there was more s@r!ku evidence they really had no idea what to do with him #they had no idea what to do with anyone who wasn't sora #but with riku especially having such a strong character arc only to pitter out to like.#a touching but ultimately meaningless sacrifice that sora tears up spacetime to undo moments later #and exposition dumps ig #like i can't get behind his new keyblade because it really EXEMPLIFIES all the god damn issues with his handling in 3 #idk i was thinking about character design and aesthetics and man. Supermassive games made something that was almost perfect and then decided to make several much worse things before reeling it back to something decent that makes the same damn mistake the first game made without any of the first game’s charm and cleverness to make up for it. Like you’ve had the time to figure out this professional video game thing maybe you should start acting like it lol
