Meeting Their VA's
Summary: Vil/Neige/Cater x gn!reader. You get transported from the world of Twisted Earth, to Twisted Wonderland. And when all hope seems lost, you hear a voice you know!
A/N: Had this idea once I had these three slotted as celebrity VA's...it just took me a long time to write it 😂
Twisted Earth Literary Universe
You were doing your best to hide. After getting transported to a magical world where everyone seemed to know you, you were more than overwhelmed. Especially since you had stepped through a mirror and ended up in yet another world.
Anyway, you were curled in on yourself under an apple tree, when you heard him.
"What is a stray potato doing in my orchard?"
You knew that voice! That was your friend! Thank God, someone you knew! You turned to face him, and both of your eyes widened in shock.
That wasn't your friend…
That was the most beautiful man you had ever seen….
But definitely not your friend…
After both of you stared at each other for an awkward amount of time, he cleared his throat, and asked if you were, indeed, Y/N. Which, of course you were!
After that, he offered you a room, and some clothes so you would blend in, and continued talking about things you didn't understand, nor try to.
But, damn, everytime he talked, he sounded like your friend…and you could trust your friend…right?
You'd been transported into what could only be described as a fairytale world, filled with Princes and professors who all knew you by name
It wasn't long before you'd seen they could also use magic, and now you were thoroughly overwhelmed. You ran into the nearby town, scared and stressed, before you felt a gentle hand on your shoulder.
"Are you lost? Maybe I can help!"
You groaned. Of course he was here with you. Out of everyone, it had to be your snobby, rich, acquaintance, who had tried to close your school/business so that he could build a water park.
You gritted your teeth and put on a fake smile before turning to look at him.
The beautiful boy's chocolate eyes widened in shock, before he shook himself out of it, and gave you a sweet smile. One thing was for certain. This definitely wasn't him…
"Has anyone ever told you you look a lot like Y/N L/N?"
Once you tell him that that's you, he looks away for a moment, and when he turns back to you his cheeks are super pink.
"You look even prettier in real life…"
You have no idea why…but you can't help but trust this boy with the voice of your nemesis. He seems so sweet, and genuine, and truly kind! Surely his sweet exterior isn't hiding a bitter interior, right?
"Hey babes, can I get a quick pic with you?"
People had been crowding you ever since you woke up in this strange world, and you were very scared. But you were pretty sure you knew that voice…that was the quirky barista at your new favorite coffee shop. You didn't know him very well, but you had a bit of a friend crush on him. And hey, how better to get to know someone, than getting stuck in a magical other dimension with them?
You turned to him, and…wait. That wasn't him….when your eyes met his piercing green ones, his smile faltered for a moment, before he grabbed your hand and started running.
When you had both escaped from the crowd, he flashed you a grin and a peace sign.
"That escape wasn't free. I need one pic with you for my magicam! Smile!"
You gave a half hearted smile as he snapped a pic, and the both of you sat in silence as he looked through filters, and added hashtags and a caption. After a moment, his eyes flicked back up to yours.
"Are you alright? You look like you need, like, twelve hours of beauty sleep. My dorm's a single. I can let you hide out there, if you agree to do a q and a with me when you wake up."
It's not like you have any other choice. You can hear the crowd drawing nearer, and, despite his fixation on this "magicam" thing, his eyes were incisive, like he could see right through you, and knew exactly what you needed. You'd have to trust him.

The troubles of Jean-Andoche Junot
After days and nights of agony and fitful dreams, Junot woke up feeling lightheaded and refreshed. Bright morning sunlight trickled in through the window and cast its golden glow around the sparsely-decorated bedroom which was, much to Junot’s surprise, empty. His father and the doctor were gone. He listened for the sound of their worried voices outside the door, but heard nothing except for the faint sound of birdsong coming from the garden. It was an odd surprise, but a welcome one. He stretched out his sore limbs under the soft bedsheets, relishing in the pleasant surprise of how easily his body now moved. It was as if he was young again, no longer impeded by the effects of his countless injuries. Overcome with a childish delight at this, he extended his arms above his head and let the golden sunshine warm his cold skin. After quite some time of basking in this strange and newfound joy, he felt the need for further movement. Cautiously, he sat up in bed and pushed back the snowy white covers, which he now saw were soiled with faded bloodstains although he couldn't remember why. The past few days were a nebulous haze and nothing more. With an anxious feeling that he couldn't quite place, he slid bedsheets off his body, revealing bare legs wrapped in bandages. His trembling hands unwrapped them slowly, only to see large yet fully healed scar tissue. He traced the gash with the tip of his finger, and felt not even the slightest remnant of pain. Greatly rejuvenated, Junot sprang out of bed and walked to the bright window. The sunlight was brighter than ever now, and imbued with gentle warmth. Birdsong carried through the air with the distant tunes of the marching music of his long-gone soldiers. Yet the scene spread out before him was not the little garden of that terraced house in Montbard, but a lush oasis of cultivated terraces, neoclassical fountains, orchards ripe with golden fruit, lawns filled with hauntingly familiar faces, and a whole host of wonders that evoked the most distant and fantastic memories. In these gardens Junot saw the grand park of the Chateau de Bussy-Rabutin, the ragged coastline of Toulon, the heavenly Parisian Jardin des Plantes, the hills of Italy, the exotic sights of Egypt, the roses of Malmaison, and all the glory of the estates that had once belonged to Junot, Duc d'Abrantès. In the magnificent garden he saw his mother, who then called his name and reached out with loving arms. Junot wanted nothing more than to fling open the window and make his light escape into that enigmatic paradise. But something held him back. Intense uneasiness gripped his heart and stopped his breath. He tore himself away from the window and ran instead to the door on the other side of the room, flung it open and disappeared into the darkness.

Do think you can make more fanfics of Kenny and or jade your like the only person who actually writes for characters in the show (from) and I feel like they just need so much more love 💕🥲 I literally love your account and all the theories
dhsjdhshd thank you so much for sending this ask !! they DO need so much more love both in-universe and out... specially kenny rn. jade is somehow kind of making friends... we can be proud of him. kind of <3 im so glad you like my account i'm always so worried about spamming but my heart is so full rn 🥺💝
i'm definitely gonna be writing more for them! i have an embarrassing amount of drafts i should probably polish up a bit and post. here's some headcanons in the meantime
kenny and jade: where they take you on a date 🥂
jade
out of fromville
he looves to flaunt his wealth and is a child at heart so on your first dates he'd probably take you to places that are both expensive and fun like a hot air balloon ride or a premium pass visit to a theme park, bonus points if there's tech toys involved like those star wars spaceship simulator VR pods, or idk, racecars
also!!! escape rooms
sometimes tobey tags along because the stuff is fun and you just have to deal with that. he does make sure leave you some alone time though
on your 4th or 5th date you ask him if you can just hang out at home and he looks heartbroken like you don't like our dates?? jade i'm just exhausted
he kind of has a difficult time accepting that you like him enough to want to just spend the day with him, but he's pretty touched when it sinks in that you do
you order some food, curl up on the couch and binge some tv show or movie series that either of you likes, it could be some old favourite or something that's been sitting on your to-watch list for a while. i just know that jade is a jurassic park kind of guy and no one can change my mind
all the time he's just thinking how nice and natural it all feels and how easily he could get used to having you around more often <3
in the town
he would talk a lot about where he wants to take you when you get out, but if confronted with the thought of going on a date while in there, he'd be like—what the hell do you mean, there's nothing to do in here
you tease him a little bit like come on, where's that imagination you keep talking about? be creative. you'll come up with something for sure
now it's a challenge. and he tries. he really tries. but nothing feels impressive or datey enough, considering where he'd like to take you if he could
you ask him to see the notebook he's been writing (and sketching) the ideas on and you can't help but laugh. jade, literally a picnic would've been just fine
but you make sure to show him how touched you are that he was putting so much effort into trying to make something really special for you. he gets lots of love and many hugs and kisses as a reward <3
kenny
out of fromville
kenny loves café and museum dates, though he'd be a bit worried that he's not smart enough to impress you if you go to a museum. he just really likes going because all the stuff is cool, but he's not one of those guys that can tell you more than the guide on any given tour. he might try to prepare and do a bit of research beforehand to try to show off though :)
it's very easy to tell that he didn't just happen to know all that stuff, but nonetheless it's incredibly cute
bonus points if you are the kind of person that can tell you more than the guide on any given tour. you'd have to correct him on some stuff. he'd be a bit embarrassed but his crush on you would only get bigger and bigger with that
if he wants to go for something a bit bigger or special he might ask if you want to book one of those weekends that you can spend at an apple orchard or a pumkin farm in the fall, it would be really sweet and he'd take the cutest pics of you <3
in town
his go-to would be a picnic in the nicest patch of woods that he can find. it's an easy choice because he's big on picnics in general, no matter where you are
he would pick some flowers for you and do his best to help you feel at ease. if you're new, you may be a bit worried about straying from the town even just a little bit, but he knows the place really well and he'd reassure you that the woods are safe as long as the sun is out
it'd be worth it when the knowledge of where you are begins to fade away. once you can no longer see colony house or the town, you start feeling like you could be on a normal hike, and that feels really nice
kenny would have changed out of his deputy uniform and into his nicest clothes for this and your heart would have nearly jumped out of your chest when you saw him looking like that for the first time <3<3

Recurring things in my dreams because I just need to get it out of my system. Like I am constantly back here to the point I'm like "fuck this again" when I dream it again.
It's the zombie apocalypse AGAIN (I'm with the walking dead guys). I am amazing at shooting zombies.
I can float and no one thinks it's even a little bit cool. I've dreamt this for as long as I can remember. To the extent that I forget that is not real.
Skiing I'm always skiing I don't ski but I'm convinced I can ski now.
The weirdest longest narrowest public bathrooms ever.
I'm at a water park! Oh God I forgot to shave my bikini line. Half of it is standing in line getting into the park?? There is an air of danger to the water park.
I'm just buying souvenirs at Disneyland. Usually pirate stuff or christmas ornaments.
At CVS but they have REALLY cool stuff just for ME!
Buying Japanese blind boxes for like $1 each and I never open the goddamn things in the dream.
Buying beanie babies that do not exist at thrift shops! yippee!
This very specific concept for a sims world and it's starting to get to me. New England coast vibes. There's a boardwalk with half rabbitholes (movie theatre, bookshop) and half visit-able shops. There is a roller rink in the center. downtown is old brick buildings and there's small little apartments in them. BASEMENT apartments too. The brick apartment buildings are centered around one long main street instead of a neighborhood. You can own a business in one of the storefronts. There are fruit vendors, a grocery store, and other rabbit hole shops along the main street.
I'm in an elevator in a really big hotel and I don't know my floor OR room number.
Petting bears .
A super cool magical world and oh god I have to save everyone and there's a conspiracy.
Genuine horrors!
Hiking through a big forest with big streams and at some point we gotta run out of there parkour style because a big magical goo is coming.
Climbing this huge snowy mountain (usually with my mom or friends) and there is a tiny cabin at the top and a beautiful statue garden. It is very peaceful.
I'm in Skyrim and I'm stealing these rich bad guys lodge aw man I can't live here what the fuck I did this quest for nothing.
Beating up guys from my highschool.
Walking around this huge mansion/museum but we can't go to the top floor because the king is sleeping there..
I'm in a shitty arcade connected to my local movie theater that does NOT exist and also it is so shitty and the prizes suck.
God I'm in a Mario game and I have to do parkour fuck.
I forgot my bikini top on vacation so I just swim without one and I think everyone is looking at me but they do not give one shit.
Fancy beautiful wonderful showers ohohoho and I take a great shower OH SHIT I GOT WATER EVERYWHERE.
Exploring my grandma's old house but its a weird mansion with bathrooms that have little stairs going up to the toilet right under the ceiling and also the bathrooms are carpeted.
There is this giant secret part to my grandma's old house. Historical shit.
The freezer is filled with gas station ice cream yippee!!!!!!
I'm driving a car oh my god I can't drive oh and I'm driving from the passenger seat??????? How am I doing this?????? Whatever it's on autopilot I'm fine. I hope a cop does not see me driving this car from the passenger seat.
There's an apple orchard in my old town (there isn't).
I'm just trying to find the bathroom in this freak combination of all the schools I've been to someone help me.
Oh I found the school locker room oohh now I'm in a big open-air area in a barn??? Warehouse???? It's so sunny and warm and there's all these wooden stalls for outdoor showers yippee!!!!!
I'm getting fast food with my friends. I accidently order three sandwiches. I'm severely distressed over this.
I'm at the mall and I am looking at all the tasty snacks (great ice cream and coffee selections) and trying to find a hot topic oh no I'm lost.
QUICK TO THE ESCAPE POD ON THIS SPACESHIP.
I'm in a musical or dance recital and I do NOT know ANY of my lines or ANY choreography and I just have to wing it and NO ONE seems to notice.
THERE'S THIS HUGE T-SHIRT STORE. IT'S JUST T-SHIRTS BUT THEY'RE ALL THE WEIRD THRIFTED ONES I LOVE. I NEVER GET TO GO IN.
I'm at my Babushka's apartment building but it is 3 of them attached to each other and it's dystopian and scary.

I'm on a huge oh my god gigantic playground jungle gym I am going to die if I fall.
oh hey it's my sims hey you guys.
oh hey it's the munch story sims hey you guys.
sometimes I think I'm just walking through a wetland and that's it. Unclear if I am a wetland creature or not.

hi. it's me again. no surprise there.
I would like for you to choose between a Fall day spent with Steven Grant or a Winter day spent with Poe Dameron.
apologies.
hi i'm sorry you want me to CHOOSE?! why not both, bestie? we're going to start off with Steven here, though.
SLEEPOVER SATURDAY
Autumn with Steven Grant
Steven Grant x reader
Really, you didn’t think that you could love this time of the year any more than you already did…until you started dating Steven Grant.
Content: Copious amounts of fluff.
While Christmas is plenty magical, there’s just something about fall that never fails to bring a smile to your face each and every morning you wake up to brisk morning air, vivid leaves painted across the trees in your front yard, and a small army of pumpkins of all sizes scattered across each and every porch on your street.
Needless to say, you have a tendency to happily embrace each and every fall tradition. And while you’ve had plenty of exes in your past that have unfortunately been less than enthusiastic about the whole thing, Steven couldn’t be happier to share these moments with you.
When you overhear two of your coworkers at the museum griping about society’s ongoing pumpkin spice obsession, you cringe as you look down at the to-go cup in your hands and turn to Steven, admitting that you actually do love to indulge in pumpkin spice in the fall. Steven frowns as your coworkers begin to poke fun when they notice PSL written on the side of your cup. The next time you show up at his place for a movie night, you find an assortment of each and every pumpkin spice themed food and home good strewn about his apartment (including tissues (?!), which you’re more than a little iffy on, but you use them regardless to dab away the tears that threaten to spill from your eyes when you see what he did for you).
(Marc outright steals the stockpile of K-Cups from the staff break room and replaces them all with pumpkin spice flavored ones, both for your benefit and to antagonize your coworkers.)
When you find out Steven’s never been apple picking, you can’t drag him to the nearest orchard fast enough (and he’s more than happy to hoist you up onto his shoulders to help reach the best ones up on the high branches).
He’s initially worried you’re going to get in trouble when you toss him an apple and begin snacking on them right there as you waltz through the lines of trees with your basket in hand (“We need to test the flavors, Steven! There’s so many different kinds!"). However, he eventually joins you in your taste testing venture, which finds both of you nestled under the shade of a large tree with apples of all sizes and colors spread out before you. You inevitably get distracted and climb into Steven’s lap, kissing him languidly as he threads his hands into your hair, a soft noise escaping his mouth.
(Marc had other plans for that day, honestly. But when you showed up at Steven’s door bright and early with that earnest, excited smile on your face, ready to embark on your trip to the orchard, he decided Khonshu could fucking wait.)
When you mention to Steven that you wish there was more fall foliage to enjoy in the heart of the busy city, he surprises you one Sunday afternoon with a fall picnic in the middle of a small but lush park that you’d never seen before. Tucked away in between the bustling streets like the city’s best kept secret, you can’t help but tackle Steven into a pile of leaves when you arrive, laughing brightly as he sits up and looks at you with a smile that mirrors your own. And when he reaches out to carefully pull a leaf out of your hair, warmth curls in your gut and floods through your veins at the gesture.
Steven’s absolutely shit at carving pumpkins, and honestly, you love it. Your own pumpkins are nothing to write home about either, and you like to make a tradition out of hacking away at your terrible creations together to decorate your front porch.
(Marc impatiently asked to take over more than once, insistent that he’s a bit of a jack-o’-lantern connoisseur. But Steven politely told him to bugger off as you began to cry laughing the first time you observed both of your decimated pumpkins, which then found the two of you entangled on your couch, giggling between kisses as you picked pumpkin guts out of Steven’s hair and off of his shirt.)

Driving Miss Baby
Dean decides you need a driving lesson in Baby.
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Word Count: 2319
Warnings: Just the usual smut (like that’s a warning)
Divider by @firefly-graphics
“Are you kidding me? Right now?” You stare up – way up – at Dean from the floor, where you sit surrounded by the contents of the pantry. You finally had a couple of days to clean and organize, and you’re in the middle of several projects at the moment. Perfect timing.
“Yes. Now. It’s not gonna take long, and you just keep stalling every time I ask, so – let’s go.” You roll your eyes, shaking your head at the mess that would be waiting for you when you got back. You take his hand and let him help you to your feet, looking up at him like a petulant child. He gives you one of those smiles you can never resist, bends to kiss you gently, and you follow him with a reluctant sigh.
“You know, I’ve been driving since I was 16 years old, Dean,” you grumble, shuffling along behind him on the way to the garage.
“I know. But you’ve never driven a big old beast like Baby. And I just want to make sure you can handle her if you have to.”
“Like you’d ever let me drive, anyway,” you mumble under your breath, and he stops dead in front of you, making you run into his back.
He turns to face you with a serious expression, but there’s a sparkle in his eyes. “I heard that. And you’re right – usually. But what if something happens? Sam and I get hurt, or we need you to go for help? I just want you to be prepared.”
“I know,” you say begrudgingly, and follow him as he starts down the stairs to the garage.
He tosses you the keys and climbs into the passenger side, watching as you slide behind the wheel. You sit there for a moment, looking things over, realizing that there’s a problem. God, you don’t want to say it. He’s gonna laugh, he’s never never going to let you live it down…
“What’s wrong? Just start her up.”
You refuse to look at him, your voice barely audible. “I can’t reach the pedals.”
“What?”
“I said, I can’t reach the pedals!” This time you almost shout it at him, then turn to look, just daring him to laugh. He’s biting his lips together, his face twitching as he fights the urge, and if there was anything within reach for you to grab, you would have thrown it at him. “I knew this would happen. You are gonna make fun of me through this whole thing, I knew it.”
He really is struggling to control it, a few little snorting sounds escaping before he clamps down on it and turns to look at you. “I’m sorry, baby – I don’t mean to laugh, you – you’re just so damn cute.”
You both bend to reach for the levers to move the seat, and you mutter vindictively, “I hope your knees go up your nose.” He can’t help himself now, he’s laughing as he helps you get things set to where they’re comfortable for you. Then he leans close to show you where things are – the blinkers, the lights, the wipers – before kissing you cautiously and moving out of your space to settle back into his seat.
“Okay, sweetheart, she’s all yours.”
You start her up, and you can’t stifle the little smile at the sound of her engine. “Okay, girl – you be good to me, and I’ll be good to you.” You take her out of the garage just fine, heading for the gravel road that leads to the highway.
She actually handles like a dream, like she knows where she’s supposed to go and you’re just sort of guiding her a little. You make the turn onto the highway without a hitch, and check the mirror to see if there’s anyone around. There’s not. So you punch it.
Dean’s grinning as you turn Baby loose, the engine growling, the tires singing against the asphalt. Yeah, you can see why he loves this so much. You can feel the power thrumming through her, your hands on the wheel vibrating slightly, and you smile over at Dean.
“See, she likes you.” You go on for a few miles, reluctantly admitting to yourself that this was a good idea, and you were actually enjoying yourself. After letting you settle in, Dean speaks up again. “Okay, turn off somewhere, I just want you to get the feel of the brakes.”
“Yes, Grandpa,” you tease, and he just grins. Hard to tell who’s having more fun, him or you. You spot a country road up ahead, and start slowing down. The brakes don’t slow her down as fast as they do on your car, and you realize that you’ll be taking the next turn because with the speed you built up, you’ll never make this one. Dean laughs softly, and you stick out your tongue.
“See what I mean? She’s got a lot of weight behind her, and she doesn’t stop on a dime like those little cars.”
“Yeah, I get that,” you chuckle, making the next turn without a hitch. “So, where to now?”
He squints his eyes a little in thought, then points ahead. “Couple of miles this way, pull over into the orchard when we get up there.”
You nod, then glance over at him. “You – you’re not gonna make me drive around trees, like an obstacle course or something, are you? Because no.”
He throws back his head with a full-on laugh. “No. I promise. No obstacle course.”
You throw out a quote from The Wedding Singer - ‘They were cones!’ - and you both laugh all the way to the orchard. You start slowing way sooner than you need to, probably, but you make the turn and pull in amongst the trees, putting her in park and shutting off the engine.
“So, is this the part where I tell you I ran out of gas?” You wiggle your eyebrows at him and let your eyes roam over him in an exaggerated leer, and he shakes his head with a grin.
“We’ll work on your lines some other time,” he teases, then opens his door and steps out into the pleasant shade of the trees. You follow his lead, coming over to wrap your arms around his waist and standing on tiptoe to kiss him softly.
“Sorry I was such a pain in the ass about this. Thank you, it was fun.”
“Yeah. It was.” He kisses you back, taking his time, and you’re in a happy daze when he pulls back, brushing your hair away from your face. “Hey, they have some bing cherry trees in here somewhere. Let’s go steal some.” He takes your hand, and you set off on your quest.
When you finally head back to the car, you’ve both eaten more than a few cherries, and Dean’s overshirt is wrapped around a load to take home. He grabs the keys and opens the trunk, setting them carefully inside, and turning to you as he closes it. “Hey, one more thing I wanted to show you. Hop in the back.”
“The back? I’ve been back there a million times. What...” You see the gleam in his eyes, and stop arguing immediately. “Oh. Well, then.” You climb in and slide over, patting the seat. “Please, Dean, show me the secrets of the backseat. That I need to know, you know, in case of an emergency.”
He slides in beside you, a seductive smile curving his lips. “Well, there are emergencies – and then there are emergencies.” He looks around, mischief in his eyes. “Wow, there’s a lot more room back here when you drive.”
“Shut up!” you laugh with a half-hearted punch at his shoulder, and then you climb onto his lap, knees spread wide so you can snug up close against the rapidly rising bulge behind his zipper, and it punches a little groan from deep inside him.
“C’mere,” he growls, one hand on your hip and the other cradling your face as he kisses you, warm and hungry. You let your hands drift up his biceps and shoulders, then behind his neck to hold him close, your fingers dancing through the soft hair at the back of his neck. His erection is hard and insistent, nestled in the apex of your thighs, and you grind against him with a moan. “You think that feels good, just wait,” he rumbles next to your ear, nipping and kissing his way down your neck, stopping to mark you as he reaches the slope of your shoulder.
You tilt your head, your skin flushing hot as his hands begin to roam your body, pulling impatiently at your shirt until you lift your arms and allow him to remove it. One hand is kneading at your ass, pressing you harder against him, the other is squeezing at your breast as his lips devour yours again. You let go of him long enough to reach back and undo the clasp on your bra, pulling it off and dropping it to the floor, and he growls softly as he leans you back enough to wrap his lips around your nipple. You brace yourself on Baby’s roof as he sucks and tugs and nips, leaving you gasping and desperate. Your body has settled into a rhythm, thrusting and grinding your core up and down on his rigid cock, and he stops for a moment, just watching you.
“Get it, baby. Take what you need, get all hot and wet for me,” he urges, his eyes glowing with heat as you look at him.
“Dean…” you whimper, and he puts both hands on your hips, aiding the friction a little more.
“Come on, baby, give it to me.” He leans close, his lips next to your ear. “Come for me, sweetheart, I wanna fuck you so bad right now...”
His words push you over the edge, and you let out a desperate cry, your back arching as your orgasm takes you. Dean wraps his arms around you to hold your trembling body close, whispering praises into your ear.
Once you’ve caught your breath, Dean captures your lips with his, ravenous kisses that have you aching for him. You reach down between you and work at the button of his jeans, then his zipper, and he sighs into your kiss at the release of pressure. “I want you inside me, Dean, please,” you beg, undoing your own jeans and sliding back from his lap to awkwardly work them and your soaked panties down until you can kick one foot free. He never moves his eyes from you as he lifts up from the seat, shoving his jeans and boxers down as far as he can manage, then ripping his t-shirt over his head and dropping it to the seat beside him.
“Climb on, baby, let’s go for a ride,” he says, his voice rasping and wrecked, and he helps guide you over him, his eyes fluttering closed, a soft ‘fuck’ slipping from his lips as you sink down on him slowly.
He is rock hard, hot and throbbing as you take him in, your desires warring with each other as you want to make the erotic sensation last, but you also long to just drop down and take him in to the limit, all at once, have every inch inside of you. You are whimpering as you finally settle fully against him, your thighs quaking. He swears under his breath, his head thrown back against the seat, every muscle taut with the effort of holding back, waiting for you to signal that you’re ready.
You finally shift a little, and he lets out a moan that sends a wave of goosebumps over your skin. He begins to move, pushing and grinding, and you fall into the cadence with him, balanced precariously on the edge. Your breathing is ragged, your arms beginning to ache as you keep your hands on Baby’s roof, pushing you down, keeping him buried deep inside you, so deep it almost hurts. He whispers your name, filthy words of praise, and muttered swearing in a constant stream, his lips next to your ear, his voice a low rumble that you can feel vibrating in your chest.
Finally he pulls you close, gripping you tight with a growl. “I’m gonna come, baby, you gotta let go for me,” he says almost desperately, and his hips begin bucking up hard, making you cry out as he drives himself into you, your nails digging into his biceps.
He fucks into you twice, three times, and you lose your mind, his arms the only thing keeping your body in place. You’re shouting his name, then sobbing your release as he pounds you mercilessly, unable to hold himself back any longer. You feel him swelling, pulsing inside you, and you ride the waves of pleasure to yet another peak, dizzy and quaking.
“Dean,” you whimper, collapsing weakly against his chest, his arms holding you tight as his body jerks him upward a few more times, aftershocks that leave him spent as well. His hands stroke your back as he whispers to you, his touch tender and soothing.
You could lie against him forever, his hands caressing your skin, his fingers combing through your hair. When you finally move to look at him, he just gazes into your eyes, then leans in to kiss you, soft and slow. “So much for the back seat lesson, huh?” he teases, and you smile sleepily in response.
“Did I pass?”
“With flying colors, sweetheart.” He kisses you again, and you snuggle against him, unwilling to move. “So, want me to drive home?”
“Yeah. In a minute.” You nestle your head on his shoulder and let your eyes drift shut. He grabs his t-shirt from the seat beside you and drapes it over your back.

the you i fell in love with
connor murphy x female!reader
a/n: not me writing a fic about mike faist’s connor murphy 2 years after he left the show...... also Connor is probably ooc
summary: you were Connor’s girlfriend who lived in the next town over, a little over a half hour away. his family didn’t know about you, no one did. he didn’t want his family or anyone he knew to scare you away. in the end, it didn’t really matter. he was gone. when the Connor Project came to be and Evan resigned from being co-president, you ran into him. you questioned him about his “friendship” with Connor and he told you everything.
set after the Murphy’s find out the truth and before the Evan/Zoe reunion at the orchard.
second person pov
warning: a few swear words, also very brief mention of depression and taking your own life, and Larry Murphy kind of being a dick
word count: 5,573
______
“Who are you exactly?” Evan questioned the girl who pulled him off to the side of the supermarket where no one else was around. To say he was a little nervous would be an understatement, he was freaking out on the inside.
“I’m so sorry! I probably scared you half to death dragging you along like that.. I just have some questions for you, if you don’t mind answering..?” You smiled at him sheepishly. Something about your awkward smile eased his mind a bit, but not enough. “No, sorry my mom actually is waiting for me by the-” “It’s about Connor!” You interrupted, looking at him through sad, heartbroken eyes. “..Please. Evan Hansen. I know you weren’t really friends with him. I know you weren’t even secret friends with him.. Because if you were, I would’ve known.”
Evan looked around before looking back at you, confused. “Who are you?” He asked for the second time. “I’m- I was Connor’s girlfriend. Y/N L/N. I met him 2 years ago at the apple orchard you guys rebuilt? We both went there because we thought that no one else would be there and that it would be the perfect place to escape. His family and classmates never knew about me because he-” you laugh slightly,” he was afraid they would take me away from him. Or that his family would fight in front of me and he’d lose his cool or that his sister would say nasty things about him to ‘spare me from being in a relationship with him’ or even that the bullies at his school would turn me against him even though he knew damn well I could never.” You stopped rambling and passed him a Polaroid picture of the two of you, sitting against the chain link fence that surrounded the old abandoned apple orchard. You were looking up at Connor with heart eyes as he smiled back down at you. A real smile. This was the real Connor Murphy.
Evan looked up from the picture at you, shocked before quickly returning it to you. “Oh my god... You must think I’m such a h- horrible person for doing all this and pretending to be best friends with your- your dead boyfriend- I’m so sorry for your loss by the way- and making up all these stories about things we never really did and starting a whole online campaign about-” “Evan!” He stopped ranting, breathing heavily. “Breathe, okay? In through your nose, out through your mouth. Relax.”
It was silent for a moment before Evan mumbled a quiet, “Thank you.”
You smiled knowingly. “Now. Mind telling me everything?”
The two of you sat in your old beat up truck, as Evan told you everything. And by everything i mean everything. He started from the very beginning, “My dad left when I was 7 so now it’s just me and my mom. She works all the time at the hospital to support us and to pay for her education- she’s studying to be a paralegal- and so I’m usually home alone. I have anxiety so I take medication and go to therapy where I have to write a letter to myself hyping myself up for the day and trying to be positive and stuff-” “’Dear Evan Hansen’...”
He looked up from his hands at you, “Yeah.. Connor had one of my letters when he- um.. he took it from me earlier that day..” “It was your therapy letter? Why did he take it from you?” “Oh! You see he didn’t actually know it was a letter to myself for therapy he just thought I was being creepy and writing about his sister in a letter to print it out where he would find it and freak out and explode or something- That wasn’t why though, I didn’t even know he was in the room with me, I thought I was alone. He signed my cast before he read my letter, though. He said, ‘Now we both can pretend we have friends.’ Which is why I thought doing what I did would be okay but it wasn’t and it never will be and I really shouldn’t justify my actions because it was-” “Evan breathe.” “Right, sorry.” “Don’t apologize, it’s okay.” “Okay sor-” You gave him a pointed look.
“O-okay...” You giggled slightly, looking out of the window at the supermarket parking lot, “So.. he ran out with your letter, pissed because he thought you were fucking with him... And then he killed himself.” “Yeah.”
“So what happened after that?” “The Murphy’s showed up in the principal’s office three days later. I knew something was wrong because Connor and Zoe both weren’t in school and I know Connor skips but it’s not likely that they would both be out on the same days. Zoe doesn’t really skip school- she’s not that kind of person.” You nodded, gesturing to get to the point. “Right, they called me into the office because Connor had my letter and my name was on it so they thought the letter was for me. I tried to tell them it wasn’t- that I was the one who wrote it, but they were in denial. They kept reading parts of my letter back to me from memory, trying to make sense of it but I couldn’t tell them- I couldn’t get through to them....” He sighed.
“They invited me over to dinner and I went because I wanted to set the record straight but when I got there, they wanted to hear everything I knew about Connor. But I didn’t know anything, so whenever they brought something up I just nodded and agreed. Zoe was getting suspicious so I started to make things up. ‘Connor loved to talk about how much he hated skiing.’ ‘Connor took us to A La Mode and we ate our ice cream in the apple orchard where we climbed trees and raced across the open fields.’ ‘We would quote songs by our favorite bands.’ ‘We’d tell jokes no one else would understand.’ All lies. And they believed them. They wanted me to keep talking, they needed me to. They were broken and I just wanted to help them. I told them that we were friends on the internet where we’d email each other to talk about our day and stuff. And Connor would use a secret email account because he knew his dad was checking his regular email, and he didn’t want anyone to know we were friends.... Now that I think about it, this kind of sounds like your story.” You laughed, lightening the mood, and nodded.
“You know, you really aren’t that far off from who Connor was, despite the fact that you were making it up as you went. He wasn’t the monster that everyone thought he was. I mean sure in 2nd grade he pushed over a printer because he had a little tantrum about being skipped for line leader, but what kid doesn’t have a tantrum at least once in their life? It definitely didn’t help that all those kids grew up, making the story sound worse than it really was. He was always angry and stand-offish because everyone in his life would say shit about him that wasn’t true or be nice to him to get close enough to learn something new about him and then turn around and make fun of him for it. He was battling depression and needed help but his family didn’t want to believe there was anything actually wrong with him. I was the only one to believe him. To believe in him. But I’m just one person, and I guess that wasn’t enough..” You trailed off. Evan awkwardly put a hand on your shoulder, rubbing it with his thumb as a way to console you.
It was silent for a moment. “I think he would’ve liked you. It would’ve taken him a while to warm up to you, but I really do think the two of you could’ve been friends.” Evan smiled slightly, before frowning. “I pretended to be his friend for so long, but Alana- she’s the co-president of the Connor Project- started getting suspicious about our friendship, saying that the letters didn’t make sense because it sounded like Connor was getting better so I showed her Connor’s ‘suicide note’-” “Dear Evan Hansen, It turns out this wasn’t an amazing day after all. This isn’t going to be an amazing week or an amazing year. Because, why would it be?”
“...Yeah. She believed me too. I told her not to show anyone because it was a really private thing, but she just said that was exactly what people needed to see. She posted it and people on the internet started to attack the Murphy’s, saying things like ‘They’re a rich family who couldn’t bother to pay for their son to get help?’ and ‘I’m not saying to do anything illegal but their house is the pale yellow house at the end of the cul de sac with a red door.’” Your hand flew to your mouth in shock. “They even leaked Zoe’s phone number and their house phone! Everything was just spiraling out of control and I didn’t know what to do. I panicked and the only thing I could think of to do was just.. them the truth. So I did and I told them everything. I wrote the letter, Connor took it from me, we weren’t really friends, and it was all a lie. I haven’t spoken to the Murphy’s since.” He fiddled with his hands in his lap and sighed. “And.. I’m scared. Scared that one day I’ll go to school and everyone will hate me or that the Murphy’s will ruin my life.. Not that I don’t deserve it, after what I did? I deserve worse.”
“Evan.. No one deserves that, especially not you. What you did wasn’t exactly the right thing to do but you had the best intentions.” He nodded silently, “What did you want to ask me earlier anyways?”
You turned, facing down at the wheel in front of you. “I wanted to ask you if you knew where he was buried.”, a tear slipped from your eye as you sighed, smiling sadly, “I didn’t exactly get to say goodbye..” “I could go with you if you’d like. To show you the way?”
“Thank you, Evan.”
___
During the ride to the cemetery, You and Evan talked, trying to lighten the mood, and quickly became best friends. The two of you didn't have so much in common but you were both very comfortable and supportive of each other. You were like the siblings neither of you had.
The two of you stepped out of the truck, and begun walking to Connor’s grave. “Oh! Hold on..” You turn back, grabbing a beautiful bouquet of red roses and pink tulips, with a small white card that said, “I’m sorry I couldn’t help you enough when you needed it, Connor. I will never forget you, mon amour. I love you, always.” Connor didn’t have a specific favorite flower but he did appreciate their meanings. Roses represent love, and tulips represent a declaration of love. You hoped that even though he was gone he would still appreciate the thought you put into it.
The two of you walked up to his grave. It was at this moment when it hit you that he was really gone forever. You dropped to your knees, carefully placing down the flowers. Tears streaming as you silently sobbed, Evan’s hand on your left shoulder and the ghost of Connor’s hand on your right.
“I’m sorry, Connor. I love you more than you’ll ever know..”
The two of you sat there in silence for a while, before agreeing to leave in case the Murphy’s decided to visit. Neither of you really wanted to run into them and have to explain who you were and why you were there. “Do you want to come over to my house? You look emotionally exhausted.” You laughed and nodded, starting up the car.
___
“Why didn’t you come to town sooner?” You sighed, “I just.. I didn’t want to believe that he was really gone, you know? And coming here, seeing his grave, and his grieving family just confirmed what I prayed wasn’t true.” You sipped on the hot chocolate in your hands, staring out of the window at the pouring rain and cloudy night sky. “Have you met them yet?” Evan mumbled, typing on his laptop on the couch beside you. He pulled up the Connor Project and read about all the many different things Alana was doing. “No.. But I feel like I should? Like I know things about Connor that would give them closure but I can’t bring myself to go over and talk to them.”
“If only there was a way for you to show them what Connor was really like so you wouldn’t have to talk to them...” It was silent for a moment, “Actually... Connor and I used to write each other handwritten letters and take a lot of pictures together..” “Well what are the odds..” he giggled, “Maybe you could give those to them? The ones that aren’t super personal?” You sat together deeply in thought.
“But I can’t exactly bring myself to just give them away... Maybe I could copy them and white out all the personal stuff? Like the things between me and Connor only, and my face and name?” Evan nodded, agreeing that that would be the best option. You’d create a box filled with things Connor wrote and pictures of when he was truly happy, then leave it on the Murphy’s doorstep. It was a safe, no-contact interaction.
___
The next night, you went over to Evan’s house with the box labeled “The Real Connor Murphy. (i’m so sorry for your loss.. i thought maybe you would like to have these to know who he really was.)” Evan gave you directions to the Murphy household. Eventually, you parked in front of the pale yellow house, all three cars were in the driveway. “You better be quick if you don’t want anyone to see you.. Just.. keep the car running, drop off the box, ring the doorbell, and book it back here and drive off. Don’t turn back.” “Okay super spy.” You laughed nervously.
You walked up to the door, placing the box neatly on the ground with a single rose and tulip tapped on the top, rang the doorbell, and ran off. You jumped into the car and drove off just as Evan, who was previously hiding away from the car window, saw the red front door begin to open.
___
“Larry!” Cynthia Murphy exclaimed, picking up the box from the front porch to the dinner table, placing it beside the small card they had found on a mysterious bouquet of flowers they found the day before against Connor’s gravestone. “What is that?” He asked, looking at it with disinterest. “I found it on the porch, it says ‘The Real Connor Murphy. I’m so sorry for your loss.. I thought maybe you would like to have these to know who he really was.’ It’s in the same handwriting as the note we found on that bouquet of flowers. It even has the same two flowers! It has to be the same person. Someone who really loved him...” “What’s inside?” Zoe asked while reading and rereading the small card.
Cynthia opened the box to find handwritten letters from Connor and a mystery girl, photos of Connor laughing, smiling, pouting, hugging and kissing someone with a scratched out face. Tears threatened to spill from her eyes. This was the real Connor, a whole different version of him that the three were completely unaware of. Seeing him like this was just so unfamiliar to them, they couldn’t believe their eyes for a moment. Zoe picked up a letter, reading it aloud,
“Dear Y/N
Things haven’t been going so well lately, my parents are always fighting, my mom pretends like there’s nothing wrong, my dad doesn’t pay attention to anyone but himself anymore, and Zoe hates me.
Not that I blame her, I hate myself too. But I don’t hate myself when I’m around you. I’m so glad to have you around. You make life just a little easier every day.
It’s harder when you’re not around, I get angry easier when I get bullied at school or when Zoe says something awful about me. I just feel like I’m an airplane about to crash, but with you around I feel like I’m flying. Smooth sailing. Floating even. You are the most perfect girl I’ve ever met.
Thank you. I love you.
Sincerely, Con”
“He.. he had a girlfriend..?” She said, in shock. The three began to shuffle through the letters, photos, and little post-it notes, putting them in piles. “These are all copied..” “Maybe whoever left them didn’t want to give the originals away..?” “Maybe because she still cares about and loves him and didn’t want to give these away. They seem so.. personal.” Cynthia picked up a post-it note,
“Tu es belle Y/N, je t'adore.”
“What does that even mean?” Zoe pulled out her phone going straight to google translate, “It’s says ‘you are beautiful, i adore you.’.. I didn’t know Connor knew french.” “He never took a class for it. Maybe he learned it on his own?” Larry picked up a photo this time, Connor was standing in front of the apple orchard’s rotting old sign in the middle of the field, fake pouting and wearing a thin little flower crown you had made him. “I didn’t know Connor had any feelings other than anger.” Cynthia hit his arm. “Wait,” Zoe said, grabbing the attention of her bickering parents, “This letter has a picture and a post-it note attached to it.”
“Dear Con,
Thank you for the painting, it’s absolutely beautiful. You are so so talented. The way you put so much thought into every detail is truly admirable. You make everything you paint so exciting and captivating, even if the thing you’re painting isn’t very exciting at all. You see the beauty in the things that most people never give a second glance.
It kind of reminds me of the way I look at you.
To most people that don’t know you, you are a “freak” or “school shooter chic”. But, when I look at you, you are none of those things. You are beautiful, you are captivating, you are perfectly imperfect. You are worth it. Don’t give up on me darlin’.
I love you.
Sincerely, Y/N/N”
Attached to the letter was a photo of the painting mentioned. It was a painting of your beaten old navy blue truck parked beside a chain link fence that blocked it off from the open field. In the background, the sun was setting in a perfect blend of yellows, oranges, and reds. It was so detailed that if you weren’t already aware that it was a painting, you would’ve probably thought it was a photo taken from a fancy camera. “It really is beautiful..” Cynthia trailed off, wiping a stray tear that fell from her eye, “He was so talented. I didn’t even know he liked to paint! I mean I knew he took an art class but because he skipped school so much, I never even thought he went..”
“I guess we really didn’t know Connor at all..” Zoe begun to get angry, “What kind of family does that?! I mean we lived with him, I grew up with him, you two raised him, and we still didn’t even know who he was?! This.. this stranger even knew more about him than we did! Do you realize how sad this is? We have to learn about our dead family member from a complete stranger because when he was alive, we were too busy pretending like he was just acting out for attention instead of actually needing help! He needed help and we didn’t give it to him! It’s not like we couldn’t afford to take him to therapy! We just pretended like he was a monster and if we ignored him, he would stop..” She took a deep breath, “Maybe we were the monsters and his anger and tantrums were his cries for help...” “Zoe..” Cynthia reached for her arm but she pulled away, running up to her room while choking back tears. “..She’s right.”
The two were quiet for a long period of time, reading and rereading every letter and every note, memorizing every photo.
Cynthia held up a photo of Connor and a girl, whose face was completely scratched out, “Who are you..”
___
The next day was a particularly warm day so you and Evan drove over to A La Mode as a victory ice cream run of sorts. You really believed in treating yourself after small, seemingly insignificant, victories such as dropping off a box of precious letters to a grieving family. They needed closure, and you were willing to give it them. Evan, despite talking about A La Mode with the Murphy’s before, had never actually been. You two talked and ate your ice cream sitting in the back of your truck, looking out at the orchard across the street. The orchard was renamed the “Connor Murphy Memorial Orchard”, which made your heart a little heavy. Another reminder that he was really gone.
In the distance, on the other side of the fence sat the Murphy’s who were packing up from their weekly picnic. As they got up to walk out of the orchard, Zoe looked across the street. “Wait a minute..” Her parents stopped walking. “What is it Zoe?” Larry asked. She pointed at the car parked across the street, “Isn’t that the car that Connor painted his girlfriend in that letter? And Evan?” They looked across the street to find the same navy blue truck and a familiar face.
Evan paled, “The Murphy’s are looking at us!” he whisper-shouted. You began to turn around, but Evan stopped you. “No don’t look!” Your head whipped back to him as your face paled, “They recognized my car..” “How could they? It was night time when you dropped off the box and the door barely begun to open as you drove away..”
You smiled sheepishly, “I may or may not have given them a picture of a painting Connor made me of my truck parked beside that exact fence...” Evan facepalmed and gave you a deadpanned look. “Well they’re starting to walk across the street now.”
You shot up, “Let’s go.” “I mean would it be so bad to meet his parents?” Evan asked as the two of you scrambled into the front seats. “I’m just.. I’m not ready to have that conversation just yet.” You reversed out of the parking spot and drove back onto the road.
“Wait!” The Murphy’s shouted to the car as it begun to drive off. “There was a girl driving. Maybe that was her?” Cynthia asked, hopefulness clear in her voice. “She was with Evan, do you think the box of letters were fake?” Larry, always the optimist. “They couldn’t be, they were handwritten in Connor’s handwriting. Even the french notes.”
Zoe thought for a moment, “Well if we’re going to find her, we should probably start with Evan’s place first.” “Who said we were going to look for her?” Larry asked, “I’m not wasting my time on a wild goose chase. She’s already shown us enough about Connor.”
Cynthia turned to her husband, “How could you say that? She could be the one thing to bring us closer to our son. Our son who took his own life because he felt that that was the only path left for him. And you don’t want to try to find her? Find closure? Honestly Larry, what is wrong with you lately!” “I’m sorry. We’ll find her.”
___
The Murphy’s found themselves at the Hansen household. They knew you were there. After all, your truck was parked in the driveway. Inside were you, Heidi, and Evan. You had just met Heidi, but she loved you. She was thrilled to find that Evan had made a friend like you. You hung out with Evan even after learning he lied about being friends with your recently deceased boyfriend, and helped him when he started to rant and breathe heavy about it. You were so kind-hearted, forgiving, and calm by nature, that he was finally comfortable around someone. You were quickly best friends.
A knock at the door startled the three of you. “Are you guys expecting anyone?”, Heidi stood up to get the door as you and Evan turned to each other. He placed a hand on your shoulder to comfort you. “I suppose now’s a good time as ever, even though I really only had 24 hours to prepare myself..” You muttered, the two of you walking towards the front door.
The Murphy’s stopped and stared at you. “Are you.. Were you Connor’s girlfriend?” Cynthia asked. You nodded slightly, rubbing your arm as a nervous habit. “I’m Cynthia, this is Larry and Zoe.. We’re Connor’s family.” “I know.”
Heidi invited them in, everyone heading to the living room. “It’s so nice to finally meet you.. We just wanted to thank you for all the letters and photos of Connor. It feels like we’re finally getting to know who he really was on the inside.” You looked up from your lap, “No offense ma’am, but shouldn’t you have gotten to know your own son when he was still around?”
Zoe laughed, awkward and uncomfortable. “I really don’t think that’s funny.. especially considering you didn’t bother to get to know him either.” You said getting defensive, sticking up for Connor. Even if he was gone, you would never stop fighting for him. You did truly love him after all. “And before you say ‘Connor wasn’t easy to talk to. He would always yell and storm off.’, just think about the fact that having a relationship with someone is a two way street. You can’t expect someone to make an effort if you don’t try to do the same.”
The three looked at her in shock. Heidi and Evan smiling sheepishly in the background. “I..”, Larry started, but trailed off, not being able to come up with a proper response. Cynthia and Zoe looked deep in thought, unable to do the same.
It was quiet for a long amount of time.
“You’re right. You’re right and I wish it wasn’t true, but it is. And the only thing we could do now is learn from our mistakes. We don’t exactly know how we’re going to do that but we’re willing to try. And we’re hoping that you could help us? Help us figure out what to do and help us learn about who Connor was?” Zoe finally spoke up, her parents nodding along in agreement.
You were trying to heal from everything that happened and them putting all their hope on you wasn’t really helping. But maybe grieving together would allow everyone to heal and remember him in a more positive way? At least you hoped.
There’s a lot of hope pinned on others here.
“I suppose helping you all would let us heal.. together?” You said, slightly questioning your own words, turning toward Evan. He shrugged, giving you a thumbs-up. “But I don’t feel comfortable talking about Connor unless Evan is around.” You paused, “It’d be nice to have a familiar face around and we’re practically best friends now.. so..” “Yes of course.” The three stood up, walking to the front door, “We’ll come back here at 11AM tomorrow and drive to the orchard for a picnic if that’s alright with the two of you?” You and Evan nodded simultaneously. “Are you allergic to anything dear?”
With the shake of your head and a quick goodbye from Evan and Heidi, the Murphy’s were off.
“Am I doing the right thing here? Connor didn’t even want his family to known I existed! And now we’re going on a picnic with them? Where I have to talk about him?” You sat down, head in your hands as a headache begun to grow. Heidi placed her hand on your shoulder gently, “It’s going to be tough right now, and it’s going to be emotionally draining, I’m sure. But, if you really think that they deserve to know who he really was, that how they perceive him is wrong, then I think you are doing the right thing. You’re helping them, you’re helping yourself, and you’re helping Connor. You did say that he wanted to change the way people saw him. And you’d be doing that for him, even if he’s not physically around to see it happen.”
“Thank you, Heidi.”
___
“It’s really nice of you to agree to meet us here, Y/N. And Evan, it’s nice to have you here too.” Cynthia smiled, putting down a blanket for the picnic. Everyone sat down in an awkward silence.
“So... is.. is there anything you wanted to know that wasn’t already in the letters?” You asked, picking at the blades of grass beside you. Evan slapped your hand away from the grass, silently scolding you in true forest ranger fashion for messing with nature. The Murphy’s turned to each other, silently debating what to say and who would say it. No surprise to you and Evan that the one to speak up was Cynthia. The past couple of hours really showed that she was the only one who seemed to care, at least a little bit, about Connor when he was around, though Zoe and Larry were trying their best now.
“Why didn’t Connor bring you around to meet the family? It really seemed like you brought so much light to his life. I mean, you brought out parts of him that we didn’t even know existed!” “We thought he was a monster...” Zoe muttered sadly.
Your heart ached for this family, they really knew nothing about him.. “Connor didn’t bring me around because he was afraid you’d all ‘scare me off’,” you laughed slightly, “And Connor may have been a monster to you, but the real Connor was never a monster, to me or to anyone in my small town. In the next town over, no one knew who Connor was or what he’d done in the past. It was like a fresh start. Which I knew he desperately needed. I mean, with all the people bullying him, hurting him physically or emotionally or both, and spreading fake rumors about him since he was in the second grade? He was angry and hurting and he didn’t know how to deal with it, so he would lash out. But wouldn’t you react the same way? Build up walls so people wouldn’t hurt you? Isolate yourself so people couldn’t get close enough to?”
It went silent again, the only sound was the wind blowing in the summer breeze and the trees rustling in the background.
“She’s right.”
Everyone looked up, faces showing some form of shock. Larry continued, “All that stuff was going on in school and we made it worse for him at home. He asked us for help and we always assumed he was doing for attention. No matter how hard we tried to be a perfect family, we never were and we probably never will be.”
Zoe wiped away a stray tear. “Even though you couldn’t save your kid, maybe there’s a way you could save someone else’s?” He turned to you with a questioning glance. “I mean you have to admit, you’re a pretty wealthy family, maybe you can spend some time donating to suicide prevention hotlines and foundations that were created specifically to help those who are suffering from depression and suicidal thoughts like Connor was? I know for a fact that Connor hated the way that he felt, and would never want anyone to go through what he’d been going through, no matter how much of an asshole they were.”
Cynthia reached over to you, placing a hand on your knee, smiling as tears fell freely from her face, from all of their faces. “That’s a brilliant idea, Y/N.”
___
The picnic went on as you told them stories of your’s and Connor’s adventures together. Jumping over the fence to lay around in the yellow fields of the old orchard, helping your mom arrange flowers in her flower shop (he would always make sure his bouquets were well thought out in their meaning), buying junk food and snacks when having movie marathons on a Saturday night, sketching and painting moments together so you two would never forget them.
With each little story, his family knew more about him and you felt as close to him as you had been before that heart-wrenching summer day.
You fell behind from the group as you all walked out of the orchard. Turning back and taking one last look at the entrance, the fields, and the growing trees of the Connor Murphy Memorial Orchard, you notice a figure dressed in black standing with his back against the fence. He gave you a smile, a genuine yet sad smile, mouthing the words “thank you” and “i love you”, before disappearing in the wind.

Prompts filled: “Hey if your inspired could you do prompt 26. "Do you think they can hear us through the tent?” “Yes we can.” With Barba and a new detective? Maybe the squad went on a camping trip? If you don’t have time then no worries!” @bre160997 plus “Hi, hun! If it's okay, could I request prompt 12 + 29 from the Lyric Starters? Maybe a fight with Barba in front of the SUV or something, I'm really just craving for angst from @i-t-s-a-n-d-y & finally, from @thefanficfaerie Dr. Who Challenge: “Then you stole me. And I stole you… What made you think I had any intention of ever giving you back.”

“Did you hear? We are going to do some team building exercise this weekend?” Amanda groaned as you entered the locker room.
“What? No. I was going through a case file all afternoon with Barba.” You replied, as you gathered your belongings.
“Barba and Y/N sitting in a tree… k-i-s-s-i-n-g.” Amanda sang, which garnered a glare from you.
“Oh stop it!” You threw your jacket at Amanda who caught it. “It’s not like that.”
Amanda cocked her brow at you. You sighed, defeated. “Okay, it’s like that. But please don’t say anything to Olivia. Barba and I haven’t made it official. He keeps stalling. And there is a ton of disclosure paperwork that needs to be completed.”
“I’m aware – you forget Sonny and I…” Amanda wiggled her left hand at you. You rolled your eyes.
“I know – but it’s different. You and Carisi had a long history together. You each had rank. I’m the newbie.”
“And Barba is the hand that rocks the cradle.” Amanda snickered. “Why do you think he keeps stalling? It’s been six months.”
You grabbed your jacket from Amanda. “So what exactly is this team building exercise?” You asked, ignoring her question.
Truth be told, you were terrified as to why Rafael kept stalling.
--
“What the hell is this place?” You wondered out loud, as you stepped out of the SUV.
“Welcome to Bear Mountain!” Sonny replied, slapping his hand on your back. He walked past you and you watched as the rest of the team climbed out of the car.
“Fresh mountain air, private trails, a clean creek. We’re going to have ourselves a true mountain adventure and take to the wildness.” Oliva replied.
A woman with wild hair and a hippie dippy dress approached. She had a wide , friendly smile. “Are you the police group from NYC? SVU?”
Olivia nodded.
“Welcome, welcome! I’m Teres, and I am the owner of these grounds. “ Teres clapped her hands and the bangle bracelets she wore clinked together.
Sonny raised his brow and Amanda jabbed him in the ribs.
“These grounds are actually behind my family’s orchard and farm. We have tents set up for you all, but there is also a micro-cabin with a fully functioning bathroom and shower. While it seems like you have left the world behind, we are 10 minutes from the local grocer, diner, deli and pizza place. Barton’s Orchard is also a 15 minute drive. Tymor Park is 2 miles down the road. There you will find a swimming pool, more hiking trails, a lake for boating, volleyball courts and more.” Teres continued. “Is everyone here?”
Olivia looked around. “We’re waiting for one more.”
You turned to Liv. “Who else is coming?”
“Barba.” Olivia replied. “Thank you for having us, Teres.”
Amanda looked over at you and winked.
--
“The purpose of this weekend is to bring the team together. Now that we have Kat…” Olivia announced, smiling at the young detective. “And Y/N.” She smiled at you. “Carisi is our new ADA and Barba is our new Bureau Chief. Things at the one-six have shaken up. I thought this would be a nice way to get away from the hum-drum of the city and do some old-school bonding.”
At that moment, the rumble of a car approaching the grounds filled the air. You watched as Rafael got out of the cab. He was way over dressed naturally - this did not surprise you. He seemed awkward and out of place. He frowned looking around before his eyes met Liv’s and he smiled brightly. He walked over and said hello. You tried to say hi but he brushed you off and immediately you hated the weekend and wanted to go home.
Your whole life you lived by the motto that you don’t shit where you eat. You didn’t do workplace romances. Then you transferred to Manhattan SVU and had a random hook-up with one very sexy Cuban man after your first hard case who just happened to be the Bureau Chief. But after that one incident, in which you both swore could never happen again, you both couldn’t keep your hands off each other.
But it was a secret. Months and months passed. Now it was six months in. You kept wanting to tell Olivia – but Rafael kept saying it was not the right time. More and more, it felt like the guilt of the relationship was taking its toll. You finally caved one night to your partner, Amanda, spilling every last drop.
Amanda took the information in stride and promised she would keep it all under confidence. That said, she did enjoy occasionally ribbing you from time to time about it.
Night quickly approached. The whole time Rafael dodged you as best as he could. You pulled out your phone and wondered if you could fake an emergency to escape. The campsite claimed there was wi-fi but the connection was shitty.
“Hey.”
You looked up at Fin, who crouched next to you. “Hey.” You replied dejectedly while you nibbled at a s’more.
“You okay? You’ve been quiet all day. Not like you.” Fin replied. You sighed, watching Sonny and Amanda across the campsite with Rafael, laughing over God knows what.
“Yeah. Just tired. Camping isn’t my thing.” You replied. “I need to be in actual civilization.”
“I get that. I don’t do nature either.”
“I think… I am going to head to bed.” You replied standing. You stretched out your hand. “Want the rest of my s’more?”
“Nah, I’m good.” Fin replied. “Maybe Barba wants it. He’s always hungry.” He laughed and jutted his head towards the direction where Barba was.
You hummed and gave Fin a smile before heading to your tent. The ground was cold and hard. Sleep was futile.
It was one weekend. You could do this.
--
The next morning, breakfast was being had and Olivia was busy going over some of the bonding activities everyone was going to partake in. You decided to take your coffee to go, walking up a trail.
“Y/N, you shouldn’t go by yourself. Barba, why don’t you accompany her?” Amanda replied, with a wink to you. “Unless you want to go kayaking with us.”
You shot a look at Amanda. “I don’t need a babysitter.”
“Nonsense – everyone should be in pairs. You never know what could happen.” Olivia replied. “Besides this is about team morale and building.”
“Great.” You gritted. Rafael looked at you and gave you a small, forced smile.
“After you, detective. Lead the way.” Rafael replied.
The walk up the trail towards Tymor Park was mostly quiet between you. After you were far enough from the campsite, you whipped around and stepped in front of Rafael, causing him to take a step back.
“I was trying to get away from you!” You hissed.
“Look, Y/N, I don’t know why you are so upset with me.” Rafael began. “I told you I wasn’t ready to disclose.”
“When will you be ready? Why don’t you respect me or our relationship?” You replied, sitting on a rock.
“That’s not true – you know I respect you. It is just complicated.”
“No, it’s not. You are making it complicated.” You watched as a white butterfly flitted by.
Rafael sighed and sat on a rock next to you. “I thought we wouldn't last a month. But then we did, and then another month, and I'm still not sure how this happened.”
Rafael pulled your chin to face him. You jutted your chin out from his grasp. ““It feels like you don’t care.” You scoffed. You stood and crossed your arms. “Well?” You asked, exasperated when Rafael didn’t immediately respond. Your eyes began to shimmer with tears that threatened to fall.
You looked over your shoulder as you began to march in the opposite direction. “I’m going back to the campsite. If you want to follow me, that is your prerogative.”
---
Rafael used the opportunity to think about what he wanted to do as he followed you back to campsite. Truth was that he did like you – a lot. He might even dare to say his feelings bordered on love. But ever since Yelina had broken his heart so many years ago, he was reticent about any kind of relationship. Certainly his line of work didn’t allow for romance and he used that to his advantage.
Then you came along. And turned his whole world upside down..
You were the newest detective after Kat Tamin. You were like a breath of much needed fresh air. You weren’t jaded like the other detectives and thought outside the box. When other detectives offered stereotypical analysis, you had a way of providing another vantage point that might not have been otherwise stated.
You were also thirteen years his junior.
Rafael worried that disclosing the relationship would make him come across some kind of old man pervert. And instead of telling you and leaning on you, he decided to push you away because it was easier to avoid than deal with feelings he wasn’t used to.
When you had gotten back to the campsite, you stormed off to where Fin and Sonny were, joining them in a card game. Your eyes met Rafael’s and you glared at him before turning to Sonny and laughing at what he said.
Rafael felt his heart sink a bit. And then he gathered what resolve he had and vowed to make things right with you. He didn’t want to risk losing you.
---
After a day of more bonding activities, you all sat around the campfire. Sonny strummed his guitar – a hobby of his – as he lead everyone through a round of Wagon Wheel.
Picking me a bouquet of dogwood flowers
And I'm a-hopin' for Raleigh, I can see my baby tonight
So rock me momma like a wagon wheel…
Finally, everyone decided to hit the sack and call it a night. You were settling into your sleeping bag, when you heard the zipper to your tent open. You turned on your flashlight and directed it to the tent opening.
“Who the fu—”
Rafael poked his head in. “Can we talk?” The light shone directly into his eyes, nearly blinding him. He blocked the light with his hand.
You sighed. “I’m going to bed. Make it quick.”
Rafael climbed into the tent and settled next to you. You set the flashlight between you, causing an eerie glow. Rafael took your hands in his and pressed kisses along your knuckles.
“Hermosa, you deserve to know the truth. What I feel for you…” Rafael sighed, shaking his head. You felt your heart thud in your chest and your stomach churned. You thought perhaps he was going to break your heart for good.
You interrupted him and began to speak, your voice shaking. “Please spare me the humiliation…”
“No! If I ever made you feel like I don’t love you. That was my fault and I’m a bad liar.” Rafael replied.
“You love me?” You asked, your voice hopeful.
“I do.” Rafael replied. He pressed a chaste kiss to your lips. “Then you stole me. And I stole you… What made you think I had any intention of ever giving you back.”
“I love you too Rafael.” You replied. You climbed over to his lap, knocking over the flashlight. You leaned over and pressed your lips against his. Rafael groaned, and opened his mouth, returning your kiss. He stretched out his leg and pulled you into his lap. His hands ran up and down your thighs, squeezing your ass as you hungrily kissed each other. His tongue danced with yours and you ground yourself against him. You could feel his cock harden. You moaned loudly as he lowered his mouth to the slope of your neck sucking on a sweet spot, causing you to grind further down. “Oh Rafael!”
Rafael slapped his hand over your mouth. “Sshhh.”
“Do you think they can hear us through the tent?” You asked.
“Yes we can.” A voice that sounded a lot like Olivia’s called out. “And here I thought we would have to worry about Rollins and Carisi.”
You and Rafael burst into laughter. “Well, I was going to suggest disclosing in the morning, but I think we were found out.” Rafael replied.
“Good. Now that they all know…come here.” You replied – your voice was filled with want. You wrapped your hand around Rafael’s neck once more and pulled him down on top of you.
