I've seen multiple takes on what might happen to Francis and what Brunhilde might do. For example, people thinking Brunhilde would not want for Francis to die so easily. I actually agree on this point but for other reasons:

Something about the way Kamonwan told Brunhilde to shut up, and Brunhilde complying, made me wonder about Kamonwan's and Brunhilde's relationship. Ed said Francis should treat the gun with respect, which strikes me as an odd thing to say about a gun. Treat it with caution or care, perhaps. But respect? Now that we know that Ed is involved with the cult, and considering that he was the one who acquired Brunhilde during the war, as well as Kamonwan's accusation that Ed is soft...well, clearly, Ed and Brunhilde had some sort of relationship? Just that Kamonwan came into the picture and seems to have taken control over the situation, marshalling Brunhilde.

So, on the one hand, Brunhilde might not want to shoot Francis because it would be a too easy death. On the other, what if she doesnt want to shoot Francis because she has it out for Kamonwan? Who has been rude to her? Whose death would still hurt Francis, no matter how fucked their relationshio at the moment? But if Francis died...she wouldn't get her chance at shooting Kamonwan.
