GAZA 😭😭🇵🇸🔗⬇️
support us we lost our home and our workes😔💔
My children are sick from the cold and the spread of diseases, and they are all in pain. I have been displaced with my children many times, and each time we had to bleed her precious evacuation money to buy transportation and transportation.
These conditions are absolutely catastrophic. It's the end of the world. No child, no mother, no person should have to go through this.
You can help by donating and sharing so we don't have to struggle anymore. All we are hoping for is to get enough money to evacuate to Cairo so we don't have to rely on the black market for simple things like food anymore.
You can help.
Please take time out of your day to donate to my family, our campaign is moving very slowly and we need your help.
Please help my family get out of this hell. We, like all human beings, deserve safety, comfort, and warmth, and now you have a way to help provide these things for us.
https://gofund.me/5770752d.
Dear, please don't let me down, we deserve life and we deserve your generosity and kindness towards us, you are our lifeline and with your generosity you give us life even a little, but you relieve us of injustice and the cursed war, you are the hope and life once again, be side by side hand in hand, we will make a big difference with faith, strength, will and determination, we will reach the goal, we are very close, I hope you participate and contribute if you can. 💜🇵🇸🍉🍉💐💐.
I am a mother of three beautiful little girls, Sana and Hanan. Hla has been sick recently and Hla needs to be vaccinated very soon, but I can tell you that the situation has been very difficult in Gaza and the campaign has been slow lately.
Thank you to everyone who donated and participated from the bottom of my heart, but my campaign needs more support and interaction. I think that my campaign did not receive the required interaction and attention. It is not my fault that I am Palestinian so that I do not receive support. I think that other campaigns and non-Arab campaigns take momentum from interaction and support. It is not my fault that a Palestinian is marginalized for the sake of my children, humanity, and children's rights. Help m🙏🏻🙏🏻💔💔.
My name is Tahani, I am 30 years old from Gaza and I have three very young children, Sana, Hanan and my youngest, Hala, who grew up during the war. Our house was destroyed, I was displaced several times and I am currently separated from the rest of my family - my husband, brothers, sisters and parents. I cannot tell you how stressed I am.

I am doing my best to take care of my children by myself, despite facing hunger, thirst, disease and the threat of death. The other day, there was heavy shelling near me and another family close to us was killed. Life in Gaza is now hell and I tell you that we are living as if we are waiting for our turn to die.
I am Tahani from Gaza, I am 30 years old. I stand before you as a person trying to maintain my family. I am married and a mother of three children: Sana, who is seven years old, Hanan, who is five years old, and a girl named hla. She grew up during the war and in very harsh conditions that no human being can bear. I moved from the hospital directly to the tent. I cannot describe the extent of the suffering and difficulty of living in the tent.
But I need help. The situation in Gaza is very bad right now, with the IDF preventing aid from entering and the food, water and medicine that is available are very expensive. Please share and donate to help me and my children survive and eventually leave Gaza.
Thank you all. I hope you will support me to save my life and the lives of my children🇵🇸🍉🍉.
‼️Please don’t skip taking a look 🍉🇵🇸.
We are trying to survive in miserable conditions in tents in Mawasi Deir al-Balah, south of Gaza. It is difficult for me to find the words to describe what we face every day in Gaza. No food, no medicine, no clean drinking water, oppression, helplessness, psychological pressure, doubts and daily trauma due to the loss of loved ones. In Gaza, it is not only hunger, disease and fear; it means actual death.
We have been forced to move more than 7 times, and my house has been completely destroyed, and I cannot provide enough milk, diapers, medicines, and vitamins for my children.💔🍉🇵🇸😭
Now, I find myself in this difficult situation, and I strongly and humbly ask for your help to save the lives of my family, especially my children, by getting us out of Gaza. The situation in Gaza has become unbearable due to slow death as a result of hunger, thirst, displacement, the spread of diseases and continuous bombing.🍉🇵🇸💔
The past months have been full of hell and horror. This war has gone on for too long, and our mental health and lives are constantly at risk. We have reached a point where there is no hope anymore in Gaza, as if we are waiting for death. Even if a ceasefire is reached, the devastation in Gaza in all its forms cannot be quickly repaired
Please help me and my children to get us out of genocide🍉🇵🇸💔.
Your help will contribute greatly to alleviating our suffering. I hope you will share my story with your family and friends.💔💔
I will be forever grateful for your kind assistance in this difficult time🇵🇸🇵🇸
Thank you for your kindness and generosity❤️.

‼️ new fundraiser spotlight‼️
i wanted to make a separate post calling attention to @abdalhadiaburas 's campaign, which has been set up with the intention to help his family survive displacement & rebuild their lives after they'd lost their source of livelihood
before the escalation of the genocidal war on October 7th, Abd worked as a lawyer, with his own advocacy bureau set up in a commercial building in Gaza City. his instagram is full of pictures of him at work, traveling, or enjoying a peaceful time at shopping malls and restaurants in Gaza, and of his young family members. on his gofundme campaign page, however, you can find photographic evidence of his family's current life in displacement.
so far, Abd's campaign has received $633 CAD out of $60,000 CAD goal.
❗Abd's campaign has not, as of yet, received verification, but he was kind and patient enough to talk to me in private both on tumblr & instagram, allowing me to confirm that the same person was running the tumblr blog/campaign and the instagram account.
as i am not an Arabic speaker or part of the Palestinian diaspora, i am not qualified to conduct any further checks. you are welcome to practice your discretion until (hopefully) more endorsement comes along; however, if you trust the process laid out here enough, please enagage, follow Abd's blog and donate!
i'm going to be tagging some of the people who reblogged the summary of my first interaction with Abd, now that new proof has been added to it:

Hello!!
I have an OC who speaks several languages. Her native tongue is Arabic, the setting she normally is in speaks Japanese, and the language I'm writing in is English. She speaks more, but these three are the important ones.
I occasionally write a scene in the story from her POV, where she speaks Arabic at home with her grandfather, and Japanese with her friends and strangers. There are also other scenes where she may speak with a friend in Arabic and Japanese (a mix of sorts), and another friend in all three of Arabic English and Japanese, and other scenes where she talks to herself in Arabic in the presence of other characters. As a result I've a number of closely related questions:
How do I indicate that she's changing languages when writing from her point of view?
Is it necessary to? If so, when?
How do I do so organically without having to explicitly "tell" it?
Where does transliteration become necessary?
Arabic is a very God-centric language, where God is often mentioned in the most mundane (though not vain!!!) contexts. English is not so much. How could I "translate" that into the writing when the language POV is Arabic, considering that I'm writing in English?
I appreciate your blog and your answers. Thank you in advance. I hope you have an amazing day :)
Multilingual Character Issues
How do I indicate that she's changing languages when writing from her point of view? Is it necessary to? If so, when? How do I do so organically without having to explicitly "tell" it?
This is one of those situations where it's absolutely fine to "tell" the reader the language that they're speaking. For example...
Grandfather was sitting on a bench enjoying the afternoon breeze. "How are you doing today, Grandfather?" I asked in Arabic.
If you have multiple scenes that have cultural and character cues that will let the reader know where the character is, and therefore what language they'd be speaking, you can potentially highlight those cues and use language cues to "show" the language without a direct tell. Using Spanish as an example, something like this:
My abuela was working in her garden, probably picking fresh ingredients for tonight's pozole. ¡Hola, mi chiquita! she said, looking up with a smile. "I hope you've brought a big appetite for supper."
You can still pepper in the occasional reminder that they are, in fact, speaking Spanish. Again, it's okay to tell when you think it's necessary.
Where does transliteration become necessary?
If you're using mostly English to convey the other language, relying on telling and contextual clues to illustrate that it is the other language, I'm not sure when transliteration would be necessary. But, using my Spanish example above... I do not think it would be necessary to either transliterate or translate "pozole" or "chiquita." The general meaning of both are relatively clear via context. If she's gathering fresh ingredients for tonight's pozole, and later asks her granddaughter if she brought her appetite, it's pretty clear that pozole is a food. If you wanted to add more context for exactly the type of food, you could have the character muse about other preparations she's likely to have already made for other ingredients, or imagine tasting the hominy and meat-based stew. Transliteration... conveying how a word is pronounced... isn't necessary, especially when you have a story that's potentially going to contain a lot of words in other languages. Transliterating all or even some of them would bog down the story.
Arabic is a very God-centric language, where God is often mentioned in the most mundane (though not vain!!!) contexts. English is not so much. How could I "translate" that into the writing when the language POV is Arabic, considering that I'm writing in English?
Well, first of all, I don't think that's true about English at all. English-speakers often weave God into everyday/mundane language in much the same way as Arabic speakers, and not in vain. Some examples:
-- God willing, we'll have good weather for the game tomorrow. -- Praise God, the line is finally moving! -- As God as my witness, I will ground you if you're a second late. -- Oh, thank God my paycheck came in a little early this week! -- God bless, she is just the sweetest creature alive!
And, at the end of the day, even if you're using English to write what is supposed to be spoken Arabic, the context isn't English. So, when it makes sense, just be direct. But sometimes it doesn't make sense to be direct... using Spanish as an example again, someone might say, "Hoy voy a echar la flojera en casa," which basically means "I'm going to be lazy at home today," but the literal translation is, "today I am going to throw laziness at home." This is one of those cases where it just wouldn't make sense to be literal. It would be better to just have the character say, "I'm going to be lazy at home today," because as writers, our ultimate goal is clarity. We never want to sacrifice clarity for ambience or anything else.
I hope this makes sense, and please keep an eye on the comments in case any Arabic or Spanish speakers have anything they want to add, or in case I got something wrong.
Happy writing!

hiiiii im rly enjoying ur occultist posting :3 i have a wuastion that it seems you might be in a position to answer: does it make sense in your opinion for him to be wearing a turban or is that just orientalism? and/or do you have a headcanon for him related to that? from what i understand it rly isn't that common for arab muslim men to be wearing them at all times, and while the characters' backgrounds/worldbuilding is ofc v vague, it kinda seems to me like they just went off a bunch of stereotypes without bothering to put further thought into it and that's why he's designed to be wearing one but if there's a way to adopt that design into sth that makes sense and deepens his character a little bit i wanna hear it :3
i finally get to talk about this
thank you for the question!
the turban style is less common today but it WAS a popular style in the middle ages. its believed to have originated in mesopotamia give or take 4000 years ago.
Golden Middle Age has a good video on this! we also have some examples in historical art (check out ibn sinna, the islamic golden age and also like almost every ottoman ruler)
i personally theorize that lovecraft's abdul al-hazred was inspired by ahmed al-buni (author of shams al-ma'arif/"knowledge of the sun") and other golden age scholars considering that al-hazred canonically lived sometime during that era. i like Lets Talk Religion's video on shams al-ma'arfi.
here are some of my headcanons for DD al-hazred and how he might wear his kufiyeh. while lovecraft's al-hazred is yemeni, i headcanon DD al-hazred to be from like. a fantasy al-andalus (with fantasy yemeni and syrian ancestry). (ive kind of always seen the DD world as Not earth)
so, for history's sake it's accurate headgear! there's many ways to wear a kufiyeh, and nowadays the turban is less popular among arabs but i think thats really recent and it could be dependent on the amnt of industrialization.
here's a photo of the omani sultan's family in the 1950s
(source, this site contains historical pictures of oman and includes pictures of prisoners and slaves. worth noting for educational and informative purposes, proceed at will)
i do have some things about the rest of his fit, that i mostly chalk up to the fact he went to school in fantasy england but still prefers to wear a robe and kufiyeh (i can relate except not the england part). the things that i can say are Really Delightful for me to see personally
the dagger
the waist wrap
robes
leather braces (im not sure if this is an arab thing to be honest. i think this might be a goth thing for me)
BUT i do have some critiques also
waist wrap should be UNDER the robes, over the tunic
that tunic also looks weird to me wrt that cordage. thats kinda giving me orientalism
the necklace??????
no opinions on the pants or the shoes. again chalking up some of the design choices to him adopting things from his time in fantasy england + i think he's fairly well traveled. im sure he has a sirwal and a pair of these bad boys that he will Not be wearing into the dungeon
i wouldnt want him to be wearing these in the dungeon either but they get an honorable mention because this evolved into a historical/cultural fashion post.
i like his DD1 design!
now DD2 on the otherhand..........
idk whats happening there, thats a whole different story. he shouldnt be an egg imo. i kind of dislike his dd2 design LOL. but he's otherwise a pretty solid design even with the critiques i have.
on topic of kufiyehs, i like kufiyehs that are tassled bc theyre so fun and fashionable. that's a personal preference and i have drawn him that way before (its somewhere on my blog)
i have the nablus kufiyeh from hirbawi and it's my favorite.
i hope this covers everything!
i'll be happy to answer any more questions if you have any :-)
also some research tips if you're curious to look more into it:
i highly recommend looking up archival / antique photos of different countries to get a sense of what that particular culture's fashion looks like. these countries also often have museum pages or heritage websites available in english (machine translate is also an option)
i would avoid french and british art. you can actually filter by place and time on most digital collections like the met, the british museum, or university of chicago (UC doesnt get specific though rifp)

mini little success story of mine
disclaimer!!!
I wanna start off by saying that I love hearing success stories but they can be a limiting belief, if they have a time with it. so in my success stories I prob won't mention how long it took to materialise but just know when manifesting, your creation is done, your desires are all yours and better then you expect. time is an illusion and 3d is just a reflection like a mirror.
things ive manifested so far:
-a whole crate of vimto (an Arab drink im obsessed with). my older sister was literally like no your not getting it but I knew I would I just knew it and I imagined myself enjoying it and I got it
-my ex? kinda crazy but I just scripted him on my phone and he came to life like woah?? he was exactly how the script was but most of it was right.
-a car for my mum, yes im not joking. whenever I saw this car drive past I would imagine us in it not until she now told me we got it!! (I love that car sm)
-moving into our house! my family kept having doubts but I just knew it and kept affirming that we are moving in and we did!! (also love this house sm!)
side note: im gonna kinda use this blog to track my own progress and share my knowledge that I gain and share it with you guys. if you guys have any questions, my ask is open and also would love to hear you guy's success stories!

New Pinned Post: How This Blog Approaches The Conflict
I am not normally a politically-focused blog. I am normally a personal blog that enjoys fandom and occasionally processes my own past trauma. As this war goes on, I am finding that it is against my personal ethics and morals to stay silent when I have the ability to educate and remain more patient than most. (My patience is not endless. I’m still human). So, while disinformation/misinformation, and propaganda abound on all sides. I feel like the best way I can help lower the temperature is to put my skills to use.
Primary Political Goals:
1. Emphasize humanity above all and use verifiable information and good faith education and discourse to reduce tension.
2. Do my absolute best to move the conversation away from polarizing, accusatory discourse that forces Jews, Muslims, Arabs, Israelis, and Palestinians to play a desperate game of defense and toward a shared mutually beneficial peace that honors each grouped indigeneity culture, and connection to their ancestral homeland.
3. Demonstrate and emphasize both Jewish-Muslim solidarity and Israeli-Palestinian solidarity.
Primary Blogging Goals:
As a diaspora Jew, my primary goal is threefold
1. Educate about antisemitism and Islamophobia—including calling it out and explaining it to the best of my ability.
2. Elevate responsible, verifiable voices—regardless of religion or nationality—and information to the best of my ability.
3. Demonstrate effective activism and provide insight and encouragement for other to find their most effective way to contribute to fostering peace.
Elaboration:
1. I have the most experience with an understanding of antisemitism. I am more of an expert in antisemitism and have more ability to identify and educate about it. That said: I will not tolerate any Islamophobia or racism and if I don’t have the ability to educate about it, you will be blocked. If I have the ability to educate about it, I will do so and give you the chance to read about it and adjust your behavior. If you do not do so, I will block you.
2. This does not mean equal representation of all nationalities and religions. It means the best informed and most reliable voices AND the voices I personally have the best ability to vet, verify, and substantiate. This will often mean Jewish voices and Israeli voices. This is me staying in my lane, not choosing to suppress any voice. I will not elevate purposefully divisive, tokenized, or uninformed voices. This does not mean that I won’t elevate Palestinian, Muslim, and Arab voices as well. I will. But my primary goal here is responsibility. To do that, I have to stay in my lane.
3. I am most effective as an educator on this matter, a guide to finding reliable peace-oriented voices, and an example of patience. There’s a great desire among many to protest or create videos detailing their opinions and stances. Not only is this primarily performative—especially among non-Muslim/non-Palestinian goyim—it has the potential to be extraordinarily damaging to Jews both in Israel and in Diaspora as well as to Arabs, Muslims, Palestinians, and South East Asians worldwide. If you truly desire to help and not just feel like you’re helping, the best thing you can do is follow the lead of much more experienced activists with a demonstrated track record of effectiveness and good faith in their areas of expertise. As I stated: mine is primarily education and greater than average (though not limitless) amounts of patience. If you want to donate money or engage in more direct action and aid, I suggest finding pro-Palestinian Israeli voices and peace oriented Muslim, Arab, and Palestinian voices as well as organizations with experience in this conflict that do not rely on eliminating any population or erasing anyone’s connection to the Levant. Follow their lead on that matter. If you are only just engaging in this conflict for the first time due to current events, you likely do not know nearly as much as you think you do about any of this. Being uninformed and spouting disinformation has actual dire consequences that can get Jews, Muslims, Palestinians, Israelis, and Arabs killed. It is vital that you’re responsible in your engagement on this matter. Learning dogwhistles and how to spot bad faith arguments is a must. And to be effective, you should spend more of your time learning than you’re doing protesting or arguing. This is a 2000+ year old conflict. There is a lot to know and understand. And there are a lot of people willing to prey on your newcomer status and manipulate your existing beliefs to use you as a pawn to further their bad faith aims. The only consistent, trustworthy principal is to trust those who repeatedly affirm their goal as peace and shared prosperity and who reject any form of demonization based on ethnicity or religion. This is not a game. This is not the west’s fight. This is a conflict between two horribly oppressed, traumatized, and nearly exterminated ethnoreligous groups.
I am begging you to think, listen, and learn before joining the fray.
Note: I also don’t claim to be perfect. If I mess up or reblog something that causes unintended harm (which is very easy to do when engaging in discussions and activism about this conflict), I will say so and issue a correction. There’s no need to be hostile in informing me about this. Just message with your concern and I’ll evaluate from there.
Additionally, I will not interact with Hamas apologists. Hamas is a terrorist organization.
Anyone trying to make me feel like this is an Us vs. Them situation will be blocked.

Hi
1 love your blog and podcast
2 I’m really enjoying your weekly Palestinian film recs
3. Do you have more recommendations for Arab and Middle Eastern cinema ?
Thank you ☺️
helloooooo, thank you 🥰 I have a whole sideblog which I don't promote enough called @swanasource where I and my co-mod @thatidomagirl frequently post middle eastern/SWANA film and films made by swana filmmakers in the film tag here:
I myself am still on my journey of watching more swana films (and non-english and non-Western films) so I won't claim to be any sort of exhaustive expert. but here are some of my favourites!
Salt of this Sea (2008). Dir. Annemarie Jacir. Palestinian film about a Palestinian-American woman heisting an Israeli bank
The Persian Version (2023). Dir. Maryam Kershavez. Comedy about an Iranian-American lesbian who gets pregnant after a one night stand and so decides to learn more about her family history.
Kedi (2016). A calming and beautiful Turkish documentary about the cats of Istanbul
Ali's Wedding (2017). A rom-com about an Iraqi-Australian Muslim who falls in love with the Lebanese girl from his mosque who's helping him get into med school.
The Man Who Sold His Skin (2020). Tunisian thriller about a syrian refugee who agrees to let his back be tattooed and be part of a living exhibition by a notorious artist so he can get a visa.
Sirens (2020). A documentary about the queer Lebanese all-girl metal band, Slave To Sirens, set around the Beirut explosion.
In Vitro (2019). A short Palestinian sci-fi film about an elderly woman in an underground bunker trying to describe the world before to a young woman who's only ever known the bunker.
Cairo Time (2009). Dir. Ruba Nadda. Look, this film isn't perfect but It's about a white American woman who's husband is a UN worker in Egypt. She goes to visit him in Cairo, but her husband is waylaid so he sends his bestie played by the beautiful Alexander Siddig to take her around Cairo and oh my GOD the romantic tension of this movie keeps me up at night.
Butterflies (2018). One of my fave movies ever. A Turkish comedy about 3 estranged siblings who have to take a chaotic road trip to fulfil their father's last wishes.

Hiii!! Sorry to bother, I'm new to this blog but I really like the content so far, can I request a arab f!mc please? Specifically palestinian If it's not too difficult or pressuring? Thank you♡
hi! of course! i know this is old at this point, but welcome to my blog :) thank you for the patiences haha
for any people who are also new, just a little friendly reminder that i'm still doing ficsforgaza and i do intend to open requests for that soon independently of what i'm doing for regular requests! i'll probably also add things to my sponsor a wip
enjoy <3
Female Palestinian Mc
Lucifer
he adores your pride for your identity
he loves the way your whole face lights up when someone compliments your foods
he often goes out of his way to spark that joy, just for you
even if he wasn't the avatar of pride, he'd still live for how excited and happy you get talking about your culture
Mammon
he wants to learn arabic from you!
while yes, he could try to learn on his own, he'd much prefer you teach him
he surprises you by learning cute little phrases that he brings out when you least expect it
there isn't a thing he wouldn't do for you <3
Levi
he's not one to do parties or gatherings of any kind
but for you? he'd do it (as long as you promise him game time together later haha)
if he doesn't get swept up by a member of your family
he's standing in a corner, eating some of the many many choices of food and actually enjoying himself because it's delicious
Satan
once, he saw you eating salata falahiyeh and asked for a bite
now, he's eating it almost every day and has learnt how to make it upon his request
it's the perfect dish: easy to prepare, light, refreshing and healthy
he's literally in your debt forever and doesn't know how he got on with life before without it
Asmo
while his outfits can tend to be more revealing, he's more than happy to dress more modestly to match you
he's got lots of accessories that you're more than welcome to
you can also always just let him know if he's crossing your boundaries
he cares about you so much! you're his mc after all
Beel
every time it's your turn to cook dinner, he's begging you to make something from your culture
maftool quickly became one of his favorite dishes and even offers to help where he can
because he knows it can be time consuming
he's a big sweetie but he can get in the way of cooking from time to time haha
Belphie
the whole family knows how he is with eating sometimes
but he goes absolutely wild for your homemade ka'ak
it's the perfect fluffy yet crispy texture and despite the fact that it's usually eaten with something as something on the side
he often eats it straight up, so you'll often have to scold him if you need it for dinner

salutations of peace!
welcome to this blog dedicated to the many, many thoughts wondering in the expansive meadows of my inner mind. we have:
fandom rambles
OC galore and random lore dumps
deep life thoughts TM
excerpts of books ill never write
memes, awful puns, wordplay my beloved, rants about anything and everything
music and art and language appreciation
vivid descriptions of things that would put ebony dark'ness dementia raven way to shame
and so much more! my vision for this blog is essentially a scrapbook of sweet wrappers, weird poetry, dried flowers, inexplicable blood drops from untraceable source(s), cute little doodles, coffee stains, all tied together with glitter glue and skull washi tape ^-^
so feel free to sit back with some snacks and watch me as i take apart my mind thought by thought and have epiphanies and shit :)
*:・゚✧ but before all that, a few things:
Memento Vivere, is latin for remember to live. you may be familiar with its more morbid counterpart, Memento Mori, remember you must die. i sometimes have to remind myself to stop and live, to really smell the roses & appreciate my short existence on this spinning rock in space. this blog is my escape, my breath of fresh air, my cup of mint earl grey on a rainy january morning.
my pfp is a funny twist on a dua in arabic that translates to: "oh Allah, who lifts the heavens, lift (raise) my marks." which is very faithful to the theme of this blog & my life lol.
main @lemedstudent2021 and oc blog @bright-side-of-the-moon feel free to drop by for a chat here there and everywhere ;)
*:・゚✧ a lil about me:
hijabi, jordanian, dont have social anxiety; social anxiety has me, sleep deprived, herbal teas, psychiatry, procrastinating af
medical student, full time and life long learner, salty snacks are better than sweet treats there i said it, strawberry milk supremacy
chaotic academia aesthetic, cats, existential (and assorted) crises, art on my lecture notes, atp i have more wips than neurons
current hyperfixations & interests: greek mythology (currently reading the iliad!), epic the musical, hadestown, paris the musical
*:・゚✧ general rules and guidelines:
this blog aims to be a safe space for anyone and everyone, leave your prejudices at the door or dont bother coming in :)
youre all welcome to share thoughts and ideas and suggestions, please keep it halal tho (so pg-13 and mild language). in the very least label accordingly so those yet with innocence stay safe
hate and bullying and disrespect in all forms will not be tolerated, bigots and brain dead buffoons will be blocked on sight
that said, for what remains of my sanity; zionists and anti-vaxxers DNI (i will come after you and your essential oils)
if i remember anything ill add it later, for now bring your marshmellows were making s'mores on the dumpsterfire that is life
behold moi. art by my beloved @sunshines-child ^-^
--
i will eventually edit this and add tags i use for stuff & a masterlist for all my shenanigans. tysm for reading this far lol and enjoy ur life ig :D
#pinned post#new blog lets go!#i sincerely apologise for the poor souls that stumble onto here expecting to find a single coherent thought or some context#lol nope#attempt at humor#my condolences#ill probably expand on my likes/ dislikes later but for now have 3.4 sentences#disclaimer#you *will* be exposed to chaotic amounts of idiocy so bear with me. sorry to those who know me irl/ out of tumblr lol#this is what you signed up for#and for brevity's sake#wheeze#ill go by nina#nina and the neurons#if you get the reference we are now friends#brilliant bodies was the best season change my mind#anyway#go forth and have fun#🍉🍉🍉#25.12.24 edit i

Writing tag game by @bonecarversbestie <3
thank you @sunshinebingo for tagging me ily pookie 🥹
Describe your writing process from idea to posting/publishing
sleeping. like thats the first step. i sleep a lot and i love it. before i fall asleep, i obvs am in my delulu lala land thinking about either my future husband or my fics and og books. from there i think about the weirdest unrealistic plots and then i keep thinking about them so i can remember them in the morning.
and then i write after im done helping with house chores and my work. i usually post the thing as soon as its done or shcedule it lol
(or in case of my og books, i keep em there hehe)
Are you a plotter or a pantser?
pantser 😭 but recently ive been trying to become a plotter. wish me luck 🥲
What do you listen to when you are writing?
anything i can think of lol. sometimes its kpop, sometimes japanese or arabic songs. sometimes sabrina and taylor, sometimes skz and new jeans.
i usually add random songs i can think of in my playlist i listen to while doing chores, and then i continue listening to thos songs while writing.
What’s your drink of choice(while writing)?
nothing tbh. water ig? i need to go get my new stock of capri sun tho ive been dying to have my stock refilled 😞
(gonna find some way to whisper in my dads ear that i want caprisun and it will be at home lmao)
Promote yourself! What’s your favorite thing you’ve written?
cursed is something i love a lot because that plot is like. auasadh so good. also my i didnt ask for this series. its so close to my heart my god its my child. my baby 🥹
Share a fic of yours that you think is underrated/deserves more love.
to love and cakes it took me months to write kinda but like. its a lucien fic and its 10k long lmaoo what did i expect. but its also my baby i love it heheh
Do you have any advice for new writers?
WRITE. THAT. DUMB. IDEA. YOU. THINK. NO. ONE. WILL. READ.
👏🏻WRITE👏🏻IT👏🏻
almost all of my most loved fics have been ideas i thought no one would care about enough to read. and then the morning after i posted them, id wake up to people telling me how much they loved the fic and end up with me sobbing because everyones so lovely 🥹
also. people can sometimes be mean. 👏🏻IGNORE👏🏻THEM.👏🏻 ignore them the way you ignore maths when studying.
ive seen so many new talented writers either stop writing or lash back out at these clowns, but you need to understand that replying to these people who are just trying to get a rcton out of you is not worth it. your happiness matters more. put yourself before them and ignore thei comments if it hurts you. that will prick their egos more than you arguing with them.
What is a writing style/technique that others do really well that you'd like to get better at?
i kinda wanna learn how to describe rooms. that bitch truly be bitin my ass 😞uh also how t write poetically kinda
Is there a character you were surprised you enjoyed writing as much as you did?
honestly, maybe lucien. i only ever thought about writing for batboys when i had begun but then i fell in love with him and i couldnt stop writing about him 🥹

I'm gonna sound a bit mean but I have to say this, it's funny when I come across a post from a blog by a Muslim woman living in the west, aka an infidel country, enjoying her privilege, chastating people who come to ask her for advise regarding religion cause she claims to put religion way up her priority list, so she tells them the classic "the hereafter is much more important / your love for God should be bigger than this and that / you're being blinded and you're compromising your faith and if you don't repent you're going to lose and pay for this for eternity", while she herself reblogs nsfw content and posts photos of herself with no hijab, hair out full makeup on acrylic nails on etc, all which Islamically are considered haram and Fitna, and she says she loves acrylics and keeps them on 24/7 so she either doesn't pray or if she does it's basically invalid cause if you grew up muslim you know you basically can't practice praying with them on, and mind you praying is non negotiable in Islam, so all that got me baffled while she goes on talking about her love for her religion while she scolds people who for some reason chose her for thier religious advise, like I know religious people can be hypocrites but damn woman at least practice what you preach, Is your hair and beauty more important than your hereafter? Is all this nsfw content more beloved to you than Allah? Is your acrylic nails much more important than your prayer?
But anyways after saying all of that, the point I wanna make is how funny it is that after seeing her blog the first post on my dash was about women is Saudi Arabia (where Islam, the beloved religion of this woman I mentioned, is basically the law and is implemented the way it's meant to be exactly) speaking out about their struggles living in a Muslim country, how basically they have no rights and no futures, how angry and hurt they are, etc, and it's so tragically funny, this post isn't about this particular woman at all, but I wonder how much all these arab muslim and western convert women all over social media would claim to love Islam if instead of living in the infidel west they actually had to live in an Islamic country itself :)
Anyways, muslim women in the west enjoying all kinds of privilege and rights giving to them by the infidel countries shut your mouths about muslim women having to actually live under Islamic law where you probably won't even last a day challenge.... impossible lmao
