I just found out that Tchouameninga don’t know how to tie their ties and the team manager has to come back there and do it for them - apparently the rest of the last row in the RMA team bus, which consists of Toni x2, Luka and Lucas Vazquez, doesn’t know either so team manager does their ties as well
I just know Jude is laughing at them every single time while proudly showing off his own

thinking about the time they actually gave joey dialogue in the new teen titans: games…
“He could be role-playing with us. Art represents civilization. Maybe he’s showing us his end game?”
this says sooo much about him: his deductive reasoning skills, his appreciation for art, his understanding of other people’s psychology. i need more stories where joey gets to play detective, especially in an art or music history context, and i NEED him to have proper dialogue
#imagining an art heist job with his mom in the searchers inc. comic that exists in my head#let him be thoughtful & have a personality beyond just the sweet helpful guy who’s a good listener#we see some of this skill as a tactician in ntt#(that issue where titans tower gets attacked by the hybrid comes to mind#plus the super inventive ways he uses his powers in general)#but there’s a level of characterization you get from dialogue that he’s almost never given in ntt#there are some narration boxes that kind of give insight into his thoughts#and then there’s that issue in late late ntt that has excerpts from a book he’s writing about the titans#but in general other characters vaguely paraphrase things he signs or we just see their response & what he even said is only implied#really it wouldn’t be hard to give him dialogue like at all they did it here with text boxes that have quotation marks#you could also use angle brackets like they do in american comics when a character’s speaking in a language other than english#just have a little ‘*translated from american sign language’ as an editor’s note & people will know what’s going on#joey wilson#the new teen titans: games#undescribed

korean is probably the most fun language i have ever tried to learn the way that i still haven't given up on it and i still study every day says a lot 😭
#i feel like english was too easy for me solely bc#i basically grew up watching movies in english and also listening#to songs in english and i mean it's a great skill to have nowadays#don't get me wrong#but i picked up on it pretty quickly and it wasn't exactly a challenge#french was a lot for me#spanish was okay since i understand most of it#or when i tried to learn nowegian bc of skam for a short period of time 💀#but i suppose learning a new alphabet and slowing understanding#what songs in korean mean like expressions and etc is very fun#i do love languages tho and learning the history behind them#but truly korean is the most interesting one i've learned so far#tris.txt

the thing that sucks the most is that you will finish the introduction and get half-way through the literature review before realizing the thing you're advocating for is actually just like. a bunch of baseless bullshit
#also boringggggg#while we're here there were some topics i wanted to write about but wasnt quite sure if i could get any advisors on them...#one of them was different music genres' effect on english learners' metaphor comprehension skills. so i can make people analyze fob lyrics#part of the problem was finding a wide range of people who listened to different english music genres + proving the correlation/causation#the only easy thing is that people who DO listen to alternative genres are annoying enough about it to give all the info you want#i also wanted to write about the pop punk accent and its place in the genres identity but likeeeeee you can just listen to a playlist lol#also also my topic is entirely orchestrated by someone else i didnt choose to write about some boring shit#i saw another student's paper about gaming as an english learning aid and was like AAARGGHHGHHH pukes blood from jealousy

love when people in my life think of me whenever they need language interpreting/translating and are like “hey do you speak [x] language?” and 90% of the time I do not know that particular language but I’m still very flattered they considered me
#it’s never French because there’s like 0 French speakers here that don’t also speak English#I think it’s genuinely the most useless language I know but they didn’t have German in high school and I thought Spanish was boring so#French it was#Spanish would definitely have been the more lucrative option lmao#maybe I’ll finally take me a proper class one day to get my skills polished#bc I know a good bit but just don’t have practice listening and speaking#read a whole book? no problem#try to have an in person conversation with a native? i always really like how i can slowly pick up words as i listen to a language more and more. I'm learning japanese by accident
#and I'm noticing more and more when the subtitles don't fully line up#they get the same general idea across but the phrasing is altered for grammar or a similar phrase is used#understanding both the intial language (in some parts) as well as the subtitles kind of gives the whole thing a bit deeper of a meaning#also being able to recognize Very Human Experiences but in other cultures is very nice i like it a lot#also also it's really fun being able to distinctly pick out the occasional english interjected into the other language#like in japanese media some people will say english words or phrases#and sometimes because of the accent it's a little difficult for me to pick it out from the japanese#but I'm getting better at noticing it#i think bc before i partially tuned out the voices so i could read along#but being able to at least slightly understand both means I'm listening more clearly#i know a fair few japanese words now and the subtitles let me know the context a little better#i just really like being Aware that im learning it makes me very happy i love learning things#its so rare for me to notice the gradual improvement in my skills so when i do notice it it makes me really happy#I've got that adhd 'i Sucked before and now suddenly i Don't and i don't remember how i got here' brain
