My obstacles are lifting, this feels so freeing

Have wanted to take a deep rest in a deep pit for this entire year long. But as the autumn air caressed my skin earlier tonight right after I left my door, I counted a mere 6 more frame designs before wrapping up my professional portfolio. It's almost good to go, showcase it to any interesting potential future employers. I'm proud of myself, and that's an understatement.

To be able to say that I can trust myself, rely on myself, that I'm in control of myself – is a powerful and precious thing. I have paid off any remaining debts and feel ready to embrace also the light. If needed, I will manoeuvrer like a tango dancer in the night through any dark again, if I have to. To have stood checkmate with myself earlier this year might have been a gift, at last. I did not collapse in my dark night of soul.

Tonight I took a moment and understood how all this was interconnected to the rest of my life in the grand scheme of it, like a clockwork, and I don't feel fear. I have performed the inner work necessary to pave the road for the woman I am destined to become. Next year we ball and have a good time

A Shoreline Dream ft. Mark Gardener - Hollow Crown

Riding a beautiful wave of collaboration with Ride frontman Mark Gardener, Colorado-based postpunk / shoegaze trailblazers A Shoreline Dream presents their newvideo for'Hollow Crown' feat. Mark Gardener. Apart from contributing vocals and guitar, this release entails a full-on collaboration - from co-writing and recording through to co-production - between Gardener and A Shoreline Dream frontman Ryan Policky.

Earlier the two presented two collaborative singles'Everything Turns' and 'Written In Dust', both reverie-laced trips revealed as part of A Shoreline Dream's new 'Whitelined' album - their eighth full-length record to date.

“Ryan wouldn't have had a clue what was going to happen until I got the tunes from him. That was the starting point and Ryan sent me quite a few different tunes and instrumentals that he was pulling together. Out of those, there was two or three which I just suddenly latched on to and obviously the first one that really drove and led the way was 'Everything Turns'. For me, that's kind of perfect because I like to live in the present," says Mark Gardener.

"Obviously I love being in Ride, but that is also tricky because we have a catalogue, so we have to kind of live in the past sometimes, as well as being present. So I actually love being in my OX4 Soundstudio, which I created a few years ago, and to be sent music like this. This was a real treat and it's an honour to be tasked with trying to sit and marry words with music in a way that hopefully feels that they've always been there and have always been meant to be there".

The bittersweetness of the last times spinning out. Knowing that today is going to be the last day before the last days start, I wish we were holding coffee together on the porch and reminiscing, but you're all still sleeping, and I stand guard over that sleep while I watch my son.

The last days have been passing for nearly two years now. But today is the last day before the final days, before we fill our days with personal logistics entirely.

The last days started on that day I walked to the pharmacy in the afternoon sun to buy another test in case the dollar store one was wrong and saw a falcon as I passed the place where a homeless man told me he did arson while the firefighters put out the rubbish fire.

But that was the first days too.

The last days started when I didn't cancel my appointment at PP, and the last days started as I smiled and felt naked as I left. But that was the first days too.
