one piece old people appreciation post in honor of the NEWEST ADDITION
Tumblr media
and a throwback to when inoue takehiko and oda eiichiro talked about how much they love old men
Oda: I like all the old man characters in general. They're really endearing. Inoue: Hahahaha! Oda: Yagyu Sekishusai is especially good. Especially endearing is the scene where he says out of nowhere, "Can I brag about my grandson?" What's really appealing about Inoue-sensei's work is that even when characters are developing through hardships, the endearing qualities always remain. The small text dialogue just casually snuck in makes me laugh. The scene where Musashi says "Nyanko-sensei" (Kitten-sensei) really made me laugh (laughs). That kind of portrayal is done in a really natural way, and makes the readers really accept the characters. Even when taking on difficult themes, I think that the skill with which Inoue-sensei makes his characters has the power to draw in a wide audience. Inoue: I really like drawing the old man characters. Left unchecked, all the characters would be elderly men. (laughs) Oda: It's fun to draw the wrinkles in the face, isn't it? Inoue: Once I start drawing them, I draw them incessantly. I think we both like drawing very human characters, don't we? Oda: I agree. Inoue: I think with the elderly, the more wrinkles you draw the more human they become. The more you add, the more you add to their lifespan - that's the face of the elderly, isn't it? It makes it really worthwhile to draw.

@ruanime34 : It's hard to pick just one, but my mind will probably like more wholesome young ASL x mother reader. @snowywolf1005 Or what if girls like Hancock who love her sons try to impressed the mother reader but they always fail ( ps the mother reader now her some of sons love someone)
Tumblr media
You got it! But let make it a real life, like the brothers go to school together.
ASL X MOTHER READER
Your son's is at school. You got a break from makino Restaurant. You live above the restaurant. It's an apartment.
As you sit on the table, staring at the person across the table from you. The person smiles awarded by your look of your eyes of bored holes into the soul.
It made you very sick when the person tried to be kind, and that person was none other than boa hancock. The most beautiful woman of the world.
Why are you angry at her? Oh, right, she's asking for your son's hand in marriage. YOUR SON, WHO WAS BARELY EVEN AN ADULT!!!! Luffy, she's talking about.
You're a single mother with three sons. You did good, take care of them, they grown into quite handsome you're proud of.
You knew about her reputation as being the most beautiful woman and having both men and women alike swoon over her, but you would not budge.
You had always felt that for one to be beautiful, beauty had to shine from inside first. Despite how angry you were at Hancock, you didn't want to harm her. She was a friend of Luffy's, and Luffy had all types of friends, and you weren't going to interfere.
However, Luffy had already rejected Hancock's proposal many times before. This changed things. It bothered you that an adult woman who was known for rejecting every man and woman would swoon over your teenage son.
"U-um... M-Ms. (Y/N)... would you... p-p-please... l-l-l-l-let me... m-m-ma..." Great, now she began to stutter out the question again.
You could hear her sisters Sandersonia and Marigold cheering her on, calling you a stingy old witch who couldn't rival her in beauty.
Are you gonna let hancock marry luffy? No. You knew her true nature, and before Hancock would blush feverishly from asking you to let her marry Luffy, you interrupted.
"No." You said.
Hancock face now all scrunched with in hate. "AND WHY NOT!! YOU OLD WOMEN?! DON'T YOU KNOW WHO YOU'RE TALKING TO?! LET ME MARRY YOUR SON!! I HAVE RIGHT!! I'M BEAUTIFUL!" hancock scream.
You sighed, "like I said. No. You're not married. My son. don't make me say it twice, I am not swayed by your beauty. That is nothing but conventional. Plus, you're too old for him. What's the media going to say about a thirty year old supermodel desperate for a teenage boy?" You ask.
"I'M TWENTY NINE!" She yelled, "Well, close enough..." You said. "EXCUSE ME!! HOW DARE YOU, YOU SCUM!" She yelled at you.
But you grabbed her shirt, which cost a lot of money to impress luffy, closer to you. In the look of fear of hancock looking at your eyes, like the prey is about to get killed by other prey.
"Have you gotten who you are talking to? I'm a single mother with three sons whom I'm very proud of. and if you want me as a potential mother-in-law, the first thing you wouldn't do is look down on me. You've done nothing but make my answer more solid and confirmed." You said,
She dramatically turned around, eyes big and doe-like with beautiful black hair swishing around her. You could've sworn that there were sparkles on her skin, too.
Then nyon came to stop the argument, "I am sorry." Elder Nyon said, made surprise you.
"I am truly sorry for Hancock's behavior. I understand that you are not happy with her proposal, and it is wrong to try and force the boy into something he didn't want at such a young age. I will not bother you again, and i will try to see to it that hancock will not bother you either." She said, you agree, but hancock refuses.
But you told her, you can't accept cause luffy is just a teenager and she has find a other man. And they left,
Not even five seconds later, you heard the honking of a car and groaned, the migraine in your head getting progressively worse. However, you slowly began to sit up as you heard a familiar chorus of cheers and whoops.
A big smile was plastered on your face, and you felt the incoming migraine fade. Kicking open the door, it was Luffy and his friends, the "Strawhat gang" as they called themselves. They all filed in, each smiling at along with a chorus of greetings.
The gang says hi to you. "Hey, mom!" said Luffy, already chewing on some of the food. You smiled brightly and went over to your youngest son, brushing back a strand of (h/c) hair. You didn't want to admit it, but you did spoil Luffy a little.
"Hi sweetie, where are your brothers? I didn't see them here earlier. Do you know where they went?" You asked, hugging Luffy. You let go once he brought up his hand to his head.
"What do you mean, mom? They're right over there." He said, jabbing his thumb towards the living room where you saw Sabo and Ace smiling at you sheepishly.
"Since you boys get here? You got me so worried!" You said, Ace tumbled over a bit in laughter as Sabo had a sweet smile on his face. "Mom, we've been here ever since we got back from school. There was no practice today." He said, grinning mischievously.
You realized that they had listened in on every word between you and Hancock. "Oh. Let's not talk about it. What you just heard, okay? " sabo and Ace nodded.
THANKS FOR REQUESTING!!

Naquis des Flammes
Part 1/2
Hi, brave Transformers enjoyers ! Welcome to my medieval humanformers fic with a lot of silly and a little bit of emotions….or the opposite <333
.
.
.
Rodrigues de Nyon still remembered how he had lost his brother.
He served the king with strength and honor, from that famous day when he swore an oath of vassalage to the Suzerain. He agreed to give up his sword and offer his heart to the defense of his homeland, the verdant Wiese.
This small region was Roddy's entire universe; he didn't remember ever knowing anything other than hills of apple orchards, wild forests, whose small streams traced their furrows, humming. He even doubted there was anything else beyond, apart from the few mysterious countries his Kingdom had allied itself with...
All he knew of life had been, first, the family manor, an era of discovery, gentleness, and punctuated by a lot of his youthful nonsense. He liked playing with fire. Then, later, his first truly emotionally intense memory, the period that had been the anguish of his 10 years, when his older brother, Orion, had joined the knights, and when he, himself, was threatened with going to a monastery.
Luckily, he was able to follow the footsteps of his heroic brother, the strongest, kindest, most compassionate being he had ever seen.
It was at the Knights' estate, far from their family, that his elder brother had truly revealed himself in all his splendor. He was strong, extremely gifted in the handling of weapons, and Rodrigues took immense pride in following his path.
Every day he had trained, trading the tender skin of his fists for hard, calloused knuckles and small wear scars, covered by metal gauntlets.
Later still, at the ripe old age of twenty-one, he was ready to be like Orion of Nyon, he was ready to become an inspiration to the entire order. Like his brother, who had become the captain of Chivalry.
But there was a betrayal. A betrayal from so high up, almost from the heavens, that the Order of the Knights of Wiese had been dealt a hammer blow to its foundations. The entire code, passed down through generations, had burned along with the welcoming domain where all the country's vassals gathered to train and converse. An unfamiliar, hostile world had just shaken and fractured the magnificent universe of Rodrigues.
Perhaps he forgot to mention that during this tragic accident, he found himself under the fire consuming the estate.....
Amidst the flames, he had contemplated the decay of what he believed in, in the light of his blue eyes veiled by asphyxiation.
What was going on...? Where was he...? Why was everything burning? He was suffocating.
His ceremonial armor locked him in a burning vice. But he kept hope. He was a strong and brave young man. He could get out of there.
With this conviction, he stood and looked down at the flaming shell that was slowly cooking him alive.
A knight's armor...one of his most precious possessions...ah...he must commit the sacrilege of parting with it, or he would know precisely the last thoughts of a braised snail.
He had thus made the very sacrilege of taking off his armor.
Now light enough to move through the furnace, he ran toward the estate's exit. The apple trees burned as he passed, the grass had the texture of ash, and when it stopped crunching beneath his feet, and the cooler country air cooled his body, he fell to his knees. Out of breath. Facing the infernal flames that were destroying his world.
Other survivors of the order, and also knights who had arrived as reinforcements, had gathered around Rodrigues... who physically resembled his brother enough to reassure the others, Magnus de Liagon, who survived the fire at the cost of his left hand, and was ultimately not older than Orion, and a close friend of his brother, revealed to him what he had seen, while a squire was busy wrapping the remains of his charred hand between strong leather straps.
So Rodrigues learned that this same unbearable attack had robbed him of two things that made him wholly his own: his brother, who had died in the fire, and his allegiance to the King.
For yes, the betrayal had come from the King, who, worried about his brother's popularity and charisma, had decided to strike at the Domain. On a day when very few knights would be there, but when all those who respected Orion would come, for the knighting of his very promising little brother.
The King, in order to reach the Knights' domain, had allied himself with an army of lawless mercenaries. An army led by an Overlord, a powerful Sorcerer driven solely by the desire to see other living beings die, and, above all, to be wallowed in a gigantic pile of gold when that happened.
Rodrigues had thus discovered at the same time through Magnus that the king's fears about his brother were linked to the fact that he had been seen in the company of a man condemned to lifelong labor in the quarry, and that the latter had been condemned for having made anti-royalist remarks. Was the King afraid that his brother was a renegade? Orion?
It didn't matter anymore. His brother was dead, he had burned for his candor, and the crime of inspiring more people than the King. Roddy inhaled deeply, tears burning the corners of his eyes.
Even today, three years later, hidden in uncomfortable thickets, the memory of his brother still sought refuge in the hollow of his heart.
A gloved hand patted his epaulette tarnished by harsher living conditions, the knight turned, and the strict and noble figure of Magnus entered his field of vision.
The imposing man was surely over six feet tall, a true giant. His clean-shaven face maintained a perfectly controlled and neutral expression. His two gray eyes sought the crystalline glint of the young Captain of the Renegade Knights. Rodrigues quickly erased his mourning and assumed a cheerful expression, smiling at his closest brother-in-arms.
The two men were day and night.
While Magnus de Liagon was a knight more skilled with the mace than the sword, whose severity and seriousness were matched only by his incredible incompetence at all form of humor and who had once tried to laugh only to immediately give up and resolve never to attempt the experiment again,
Rodrigues, on the other hand, was a fighter who shone with his will and tenacity, as much as with his tendency to burst into a loud laugh at every turn, even when sober, as well as to reward all his brothers with questionably funny jokes. He hid all doubts, insecurities or possible flaws under a great cloak of eccentricity, nerve and benevolence. He understood nothing about the strategic aspect of a battle and thought that the bond that united the knights of the same order was enough to move mountains.
In a way, it was fortunate that Magnus was there, the Vice Captain made his ideas possible. And assured the life of everyone among their group.
–“Rodrigues, the sentry has completed his shift. Everything is ready and the men are awaiting your orders.”
The man who accompanied the captain, a knight older than the others, around fifty years old and known as much for his composure as his poetic language, added.
–“The sun is setting and the nightingale has stopped singing.”
Roddy gave a thumbs-up, adrenaline pumping through his body, a playful smile that hardly suited a man burdened with responsibilities plastered across his lips.
–“So let’s go, let’s not hang around!”
–“ Fac et spera, ” muttered Caius in the language of his ancestors, as his only word of encouragement.
A small group of six knights crept slowly down the alleyway that led to the demonic mercenaries' lair, six blue shadows lengthening in the cloak of twilight.
Their aim tonight was to replenish their gunpowder supplies, their latest garrison sabotage having exhausted their reserves. And if they could get their hands on any other items or incapacitate any of these mercenaries from the north, silent but frenzied and deadly in their mastery of the arts of death, it would be beneficial!
Rodrigues, as silent as he could manage, led his group to the back door, the one that also led to the stable, where their exit door was.
The lingering smell of fresh dung hit his nostrils, and he pouted.
Magnus wasn't part of their party. Between his immense armor, his immense size, and... generally everything about him was immense, he was waiting for them at the edge of the village, in the bushes. Knowing him, he must have been rereading the Code for the umpteenth time.
The Captain then stopped before letting Timothée, who had never had the chance to progress from stableman to apprentice knight before the attack three years ago, pass. The short man in faded blue attire smiled at Rodrigues and nervously ran a hand through his blond curls before rushing through the stable-side door; he would prepare the right number of horses needed for their escape. He was a gentle fellow but often too kind, and that was his greatest strength and weakness.
The five remaining men went to the side of the stable where the powder was stored.
Their armory engineer ran his finger over various other weapons, his eyes excited by this foreign technology. A quick gesture from Rodrigues allowed him to stuff a few of these weapons into a bag he had brought.
The remaining men were the strongest of their Order, muscular knights who could grab the bags of powder and carry them away with them fairly quickly.
Roddy oversaw the operation, not being all that substantial himself. He hadn't obviously inherited his brother's stature. Only his responsibilities.
Something caught his eye towards a dark corner, even as most of the bags were loaded onto his men's backs, he approached it….
A worn scrap of parchment, its pallor contrasting with the darkness of the great hall, lit only by a torch on the other side. He picked it up and immediately noticed the capital letters, written in charcoal on the white paper:
“ENBUSCHE”
An ambush!?
Within seconds, he was alongside his brothers in arms handling the bags of powder.
–“Let’s get out of here!”
He ordered them, lifting one of the extremely heavy bags onto his back himself. His spine didn't appreciate it much, but he didn't have time to worry about it, pressing his weapons-loving comrade in front of him.
His blue eyes scanned every corner of the room, as if he expected masked mercenaries to emerge from the darkness and slit his men's throats.
He found Timothée, treating one of the horses with a carrot, and the blond boy turned around, his ingenuous smile changing to a more alarmed expression when he discovered his leader's facial expression.
–“An ambush from what the Captain thinks!”
The poetically-speaking knight, called Caius, taught him. He came to the stableman's side and placed his hand on his shoulder before helping him into the saddle and standing behind him. The other two men, twins, quickly and almost silently strapped the bags of powder onto the other stallions.
Even though no ambush seemed to be awaiting them, each of them had blind faith in their leader, without ever admitting it. Rodrigues, in turn, loaded the last bag onto his own horse, a magnificent equine with gentle eyes. He mounted it and sighed. The six knights trotted out of the cabin without being worried. Perhaps it was a false alarm….?
The black-feathered arrow that lodged in their weapons specialist's powder bag proved them wrong. He winced, but neither the animal nor the man seemed injured.
At the other end of the street, by the light of the stars and a few torches, half a dozen reasonably drunk men, but definitely recognizable as mercenaries by their purple symbol, but especially by their black hoods, were shouting insults at them. One of them had grabbed his bow and was trying to aim at them again, while his comrades rushed into the barn that the knights had just left.
It was at this point that Roddy cursed inwardly. He should have released the other horses from the stable normally, to avoid any pursuit! But he had been too alarmed by the ambush alert to do so! And now he realized there was no ambush at all!
He ordered his horse to speed up and let the others pass in front of him to bring up the rear, tense. The horses quickly kicked up dust to the edge of the village where Magnus, who had yet to mount a horse, was waiting for them. He inhaled, but held it, stunned when he noticed the arrow that had narrowly missed him and had embedded itself in the beaten earth, its point ablaze.
The next one stuck above his elbow, and in the wind whipped up by their frantic escape, no one heard his scream.
The burn was terrible, and he had to use all his self-control to keep his horse from falling.
As he hurried to withdraw the arrow and beat the cloth to extinguish it, he understood the real danger of these blazing shots. Their precious cargo, just one of these arrows has to hit it and the powder would explode. And at the rate the horsemen were advancing, they would soon be within firing range...
Roddy spurred his horse anxiously, they wouldn't be able to get Magnus back right away unless they wanted to end up as knights in pieces,
he whispered words of encouragement to his mount and caught up with his comrades,
The redhead was quickly reassured when he noticed that no one had been hit, and that Caius had left his reins to the stableman and turned around, aiming his crossbow at the riders, their duo slowing down slightly to let the leader pass and be able to aim at the mercenaries themselves.
They had the advantage of being too heavy to have taken bags of powder, so there was no risk of them exploding.
A few seconds of frantic galloping, where Rodrigues thought only of outrunning the mercenaries, turned into minutes, and none of them had gone off in a ball of fire, so he risked a glance behind him.
No one left. He called out to Caius and Timothée, who were out of breath.
–“I underestimated your ballistic abilities, Caius d’Apcher! There’s nothing left of it!”
The tall, thin knight shook his head negatively.
–“Sire, you are mistaken, I was not alone in stopping them. Look more closely, you will see that one of these peasants is still left. He is catching up with us quickly, but he helped me kill his comrades, I think we should not kill him right away.”
The Captain frowned in the direction the knight had indicated and noticed one last horse still running, ridden by a lone man, dressed like a mercenary.
But Rodrigues had confidence in his men. So he let the lone rider approach them, signaling to Caius to keep him in his sights. He was confident, but not stupid.
The man approached quickly, a bow in one hand, reins in the other. His quiver was almost full, despite the fact that, according to Caius, he had finished off a large number of his comrades. He smiled at the knights and waved; he didn't appear out of breath.
–“You were able to see my message in time!”
Roddy raised an eyebrow, taken aback.
“Enbusche?”
–“Himself, even though I’m usually called Damian. Captain Rodrigues de Nyon, I suppose? Your red hair gave you away.”
The stranger introduced himself as Damian, and he had been a mercenary for most of his life—he looked in his thirties?—escaping the grim poverty of the slums of a big city through crime. He had joined the Overlord's army…because…he knew how to kill, and was good at it, he explained with a casual glance. He had participated in the raid against the Order of Chivalry of this kingdom, although not in the fire that haunted Rodrigues's dreams, and had found himself at a very high level, close to the throne, from which he protected the king.
–“A frankly very disreputable being. I think this man only knows how to show off and plot against subjects already on their knees…that must keep him busy.”
Then later, during one of his uninteresting rounds, he was caught in an attack on the crown, by rebels a bit less pacifist than Roddy and his Knights.
Rodrigues knew them. Megan and his men. Once very valiant knights and friends of his big brother Orion...they would not tolerate his death and would set the country ablaze to avenge him.
In short. Damian had almost died that day, he described with emotion, he was ready to give up his soul to God, and to let himself slide into the hell he had richly deserved... when an angel had crossed his gaze.
A man with strong arms had snatched him from the throes of death. Convinced that his final hour had come, Damian watched as the divine being saved his life, his cloudy pupils detailing the features of his savior.
–“There are faces whose outlines one could trace in one’s sleep. And you have no idea how many nights his face has visited my dreams… This man whose name is that of an angel….it’s for him that I’m here, for Raphael.”
His tone was passionate and surprisingly gentle. He then explained that this man was an Alchemist doctor who helped anyone who needed his assistance in the capital.
Unfortunately, between his extensive knowledge, his red hair, and the fact that he didn't want to be talked about, most people in the city thought he was a witch. One day, the capital's army and mercenaries seized his workshop, capturing the doctor without even giving Damian, who had gone to get him some medicinal plants, a chance to say goodbye. It all happened so fast...
Raphael was in mortal danger at this point, and the black-haired mercenary was beginning to seriously consider attacking the Fortress to free the Alchemist, even if it meant dying in the process.
He had even done more than consider it since he found himself, a few hours later, in front of the gates that separated the prisoners from the guards...
With his eyes shining in the shadows of the jails, the red-haired doctor had confided to him, his rough hand on Damian's cheek, that his life was not the thing that mattered in this country, that outside, a resistance was being organized, and that, although he loved the mercenary, he would not flee his own country for him, abandoning its inhabitants.
That Damian had the power to tip the scales, through all his knowledge of the Overlord's army and the Dark Magician himself, and through his martial abilities.
–“Our Megalomaniac King is ill. I heard two jailers complaining about his excessive paranoia related to this illness. I can make myself indispensable to His Majesty for a while, but you must hurry to find the Order of Knights, do you hear me? Speak to Rodrigues there, tell him what you know. Even if he knows that this kind of behavior will lead to his downfall, he will believe you.”
-"I…."
The mercenary stammered then, trying to find a good reason to listen to the doctor instead of kidnapping him on the spot.
He found it. The Alchemist's eyes shone with tears.
–“I'lll go.”
Damian sighed softly, his thoughts still on that Raphael in the capital. Then he turned his head back to Rodrigues.
–“And that’s how I got here! The only way I could get close to you long enough in this outfit was to save your life! We need to get your Vice-Captain, Captain.”
He finished his story with a grandiloquent air, leaving Rodrigues with his mouth half open, unsure of what to do next.
–“....So.” he began to regain his composure,
his horse slowly decelerating, while Caius's crossbow had lowered as the story progressed, the great knight lacking the faith to keep the heavy rope taut.
–“If you’re here, it’s because you have information that can help us overthrow the Overlord?”
He summarized, wondering how the hell the doctor knew he would take Damian's word for it. Had he become so predictable? How could the doctor know him like that?
–“I know everything he knows. And even some things he doesn’t know. Raphael seemed convinced that you would help me, but if you ever betrayed his expectations, I would go alone.”
It was a strange way to put it. Finally, the Captain sighed, signaling his knights to stop. Some of them who hadn't looked back noticed with amazement the mercenary among them. Caius's wariness, the knight still clutching his crossbow, only slightly reassured them.
–“Well, my brothers, this man claims to know everything about the Overlord, I will not leave you in the dark, if he is telling the truth, then we have our chance, the one we have been waiting for for three years!”
He smiled at his small group of five, who were far more stunned than he was, but no one really had time to nag the leader about his abnormally high level of trust in supposedly redemption of former enemies. The Vice-Captain was somewhere near the village, and without him, Rodrigues could avoid doing all the stupid things he wanted, they would all end up between four planks.
Eventually, it turned out that Magnus was still lurking in the thickets, a respectable distance from the village—he had slowly moved away from it upon seeing their escape. Rodrigues held out his hand, but the tall knight didn't take it, watching their new member with a wary eye. Damian returned a rather peaceful look, and even dared a friendly wave of his hand.
–“Rodrigues, what is this?”
–“A horse. Well, with a rider on it.”
Playing dumb to buy time was just one of the Captain's many duties, especially ESPECIALLY in front of Magnus, the epitome of righteousness. But wasnt that effective anymore.
–“His clothes are those of a mercenary. You will have to explain to me very quickly and in clear terms why this prisoner is not handcuffed and tied up.”
The twin knights, whose horses were pawing the ground impatiently, exchanged a mocking look; the exchanges between the two leaders of the order were as funny to listen to as they were commonplace.
–“Well, Magnus, you see… this man will allow us to reduce the Overlord to nothing. He says he knows everything the Dark Mage knows.”
The knight didn't answer. But his eyes spoke for themselves. Obviously. Another one of the Captain's obsessions... He who granted second chances even to those who were ready to stab him in the back.
He didn't even argue with his friend, and placed one of his heavy hands on Damian's horse's cup.
–“Surround him.”
–“I beg your pardon ?”
The villain barely had time to say that before he found himself the center of attention, let's say... a crossbow and two spears pointed in his direction. He squinted at the iron tip.
–“We’re used to the unorthodox friendships the Captain can develop. I have no problem with that, except that what I see here is a highly armed mercenary. He may have good intentions toward you, but I have no way of knowing if he means the same to you. And until proven otherwise, I’m responsible for all these men.”
Roddy rolled his eyes. Magnus was starting his endless speech about security again. Except they didn't have time for his paranoia right now! If he followed Damian, maybe the Overlord would be dead by tomorrow night!
Surprisingly, the mercenary hadn't flinched. He stood there, his eyes slightly unsettled, half-hidden by a jet-black hair disaster. Examining him a little more, the redhead realized that Damian sported a blood-red lightning bolt at the corner of each eye. No other mercenary seemed to sport such makeup.
–“Finally Mags….we’ve been hiding for 3 years, sabotaging the Black Wizard’s barracks as best we can…..but we can’t say we’ve achieved much….”.
–“We survive, Rodrigues of Nyon.” The voice was firm. It brooked no contradiction. “Rodrigues… your role in the Order has always been to show us the future, to show us the way, but mine is to make sure all our brothers are there to see it.”
That was all. The red-cloaked knight would have to wait until he returned to the Fortress to hope to make the inflexible Magnus of Liagon bend. He sighed and nodded.
-"GOOD."
And under the still astonished gaze of Damian who said nothing, Caius elegantly dismounted from his horse, patting his stableman's shoulder in a friendly manner as he passed, his face dignified and firm, he grabbed a roll of rope out of nowhere and took the mercenary off his horse to tie him up.
The latter would obviously have found something to complain about, but two spears pointed at his chest dissuaded him from arguing and he suffered his fate with a sullen pout, and, it seemed, an exaggeratedly guilty look in Roddy's direction.
This expression had the flavor of a child who has been told to go and get a fresh egg from the henhouse and who returns, without an egg obviously, and with a red hand from pecks. There emanated from him a strange air of humor misplaced for someone surrounded in enemy territory, by two lances and the knight's equivalent of a psychorigid icebox.
He was quickly put back on the horse, placed across the saddle, at the back like a common straw, and finally, Rodrigues intervened and offered to get on the horse in place of his Co-Captain.
He invoked the heaviness of his trusty right-hand man's armor, but everyone knew the rock-built man could bend double ponies even when dressed in a simple training tunic.
Their little team of six left quickly, the mercenary reinforcements could arrive at any moment, although Damian assured them that it would not, and that he had taken care of it - no one had bothered to gag him obviously.
They were on their way, and the tall grasses of the meadow were slowly giving way to the dense forests that delighted the deer and roe deer in the neighborhood. Roddy thought he saw one, between two light-colored trunks. He often got distracted on horseback. When you were used to maneuvering the animal...you were bored stiff. He was watching the streams, the birds...he had already gone into a tree once! But the round and adorable robin that had mocked him had been worth it! In short. He didn't keep the silence of their ride any longer.
–“Are you okay back there?”
He couldn't see the shrug and roll of their eyes from Damian, but the disdainful snort tipped him off on his silly question.
–“My head hits the donkey’s flanks wonderfully with every step he takes. If my hands were free, I would have already strangled this bearded mountain...”
–“Careful, you’re talking about my friend, Friend, I know that the mercenaries serving the Overlord behave without faith or law, but among us, we don’t threaten a comrade, it’s not right.”
He laughed happily, craning his neck to try and catch a glimpse of Damian's face. The redhead only managed to catch a brief, dark, scowl.
–“Is it true that the Overlord’s mercenaries have powers granted by the Sorcerer and kidnap stablemans from other kingdoms to turn them into horses? I would hate to be sitting on a guy.”
A muffled laugh answered him.
–“I forgot what kind of propaganda the Wizard is spreading in the neighboring lands. No, that's not true. You can rest your armored rear end on this nag without fear.”
–“So he doesn’t grant you any of his powers? Why did you join him?”
–“Your friend Magnus gave you the answer. To survive. It's what most of us try to do. And what you should follow more rigorously.”
–“Yeah. Life is too short to spend more time preserving it than enjoying it, don’t you think?”
The mercenary remained silent. The monotonous catacloping sound of horses' hooves lulled the Captain of the Knights' Order to sleep. And must have shaken his guest considerably. He yawned mechanically. It was a tic he had when he was bored. He managed to hold it in for a few more minutes. From time to time, the setting sun passed through the foliage to tickle his eyes with its lingering warmth.
–“Tell me about Raphael, he said I would trust you….does he know me?”
He felt his guest's stiff body stretch behind him and guessed he was trying to lean on the horse's cut to make his melodramatic speech more impactful. Damian cleared his throat.
–“I don’t know how far your lair is, but we’ll be there long before I’ve exhausted the subject.”
He began gravely.
“My soul yearns for every second I cannot watch over him. He is… he is a man whose body has been marked by the years, a gruff, broad-shouldered doctor. But O Lord, with eyes of infinite gentleness and kindness… two oceans of absolution.”
His voice vibrated like a bowstring about to release an arrow.
“He's someone who touches me. He's someone who looked at me like one of the brightest jewels in the royal treasury. He's someone who treats you like a patient, whether you're a saint or a horrible person like me or….”
His voice trembled between his lips. He sniffed modestly.
“Raphael. He is impossible to define except by his first name…and yet…I could use all the words my poor life has taught me and never run out of praise and new ways to express what I feel for him.”
Rodrigues did not respond at first.
–“Wow. I think now I want to go and fight an entire Royal City for this doctor too.”
The knight then felt something prick the tender skin of his neck, between his raised crown and the folds of his chainmail. A cold, metallic dagger.
Damian's voice turned soft, but firm, a tiny bit of emotion punctuating his determination.
–“He also advised me to be honest with you…that apparently I would know how to touch your heart. He said you looked like your brother. Come on. Turn around, you and I are going to the Castle.”
To be continued…..

Boa Hancock & Neferatari Vivi x female reader for women’s day!!
ik I’m late to women’s day guys!! But I’m still gonna participate! (Totally not an excuse to write for some of my fav op girls that I haven’t written much for yet)
Tumblr media
Hancock x a fem reader would be like the ultimate alternative timeline to her not falling in love with luffy lol
let’s say your in the kuja pirates specifically,
that would make more sense as to how you got closer since your on the same crew and obviously get to interact with her more versus just fan girling in the crowd lolol 😂
just the same as luffy, she’d realized her love for you after getting worried for your safety and feeling ill (love sick 😀) mid expedition at the fact that you might be hurt
when everyone gets back to the boat she tried to unsuspectingly scope you out (tried because she was actually frantically searching for someone and wouldn’t say who as everyone panicked-) and as soon as she saw you she sighed in relief! But soon after, she started blushing and she felt a warm fuzzy feeling!
what was this? Is this what they call..? Love?!
it was such a joyous feeling..! She couldn’t believe she was feeling such intense emotions at your presence alone!
”Lady hebihime!! Are you all right?!”
”Lady hebihime!! Are you all right?!”
”Lady hebihime!! Are you all right?!”
”all right..!”
”right..!”
”right..”
Your words echoed over and over again in Hancock’s spinning head. You..we’re worrying for her?! Your so…kind!- So!- so!- your such a selfless woman!!
and yeah that’s pretty much how it went HAHAH
you can pretty much guess you’ll get special treatment from then on, she’s in love with you after all!! Naturally it’s her duty to protect her lover! 😊 (you haven’t even asked her out yet Hancock! - Glorisa)
she invites you into the palace and gives you the best food and treatment straight away!! Put your feet up dear! Are you hot? tired? Do you need water?? “Hurry up and bring the giant fans! My lover is hot!”
no pun intended even though you are 😉
“lover..? Lady hebihime..! May I ask what your talking about..😅”
”o-oh! W-well..I was just thinking…maybe…we could go on a date..?! ☺️😅”
“ME?? Hebihime!! I- I’m honored but what brought this about?! This is….strangely sudden, you know? Not trying to be rude!-”
”Hancock!”
”eh??- I mean!- hebihim-”
”Hancock!! Y-you..can call me Hancock..if you’d like!- I mean if you’d prefer to call me something else like a pet name, honey or dear m-maybe-…!”
”But!- hebihime-”
“-And to answer your question! What brought this about……I’m not sure myself…I have no idea actually, I found myself worrying about you and when I saw you again….When I saw you..! When I…..Kyaaa! 😍”
”Hancock!! Are you all right?! What happened!?
“ !!….You…! You!- You said my name!! This must be..! This must be!! What they call!- Engagement!~ 😍😍”
”huh?? 😀 hebihime?-“
“No! Go back! Don’t call me hebihime anymore!! We’re getting married next month so!- So call me by my name from now on! Okay honey?! 😍💗”
*mutters while being carried bridal style by Hancock* “I’m getting married…to the hebihime..😵‍💫💫”
and yes you actually did get married the next month :)
being the wife of the pirate empress is the liiiife 😎👍 you get whatever you want, whenever you want and however much you want of it!! Without a question! Your words are as absolute as sold gold on the island of women! Hancock will likely even ignore elder nyon/Glorisa for you <3
and yeah you can pretty much just imagine your dream life for the rest! Expect that to become your reality when married to Hancock bc even thanos snap can’t compare 🗿😭
Tumblr media
Vivi is such an awesome girl - honorable mention okay? 😤👏
let’s say your not a straw hat tho :) just for funzies :3 imagine you’ve lived on alabasta just as long as she has and even infiltrated Baroque works with her. And also helped save alabasta!
best friends to lovers anyone?? Lesbian edition >:> 👩‍❤️‍👩 🧡🤍💖🏳️‍🌈
after it’s all said and done, and crocodile is defeated, you two say cya to the straw hats and you help Vivi rebuild her kingdom
somewhere during the time things start looking up as for alabasta’s cleanup, she confesses! Oops spoiler :}
“hey!!..I’ve been looking all over for you 😅”
“Oh hey Vivi! What is it?”
”oh nothing I just, well it’s not nothing…can we talk? Uh- you know..in private?”
”oh yeah sure! Come inside I was just cleaning up heheh, excuse the mess..”
“It’s nothing! Really, it’s fine no need to be so formal…we’re close, right?”
“Yeah :) what is it you wanted to talk about though? Is it something bad I’m nervous 😃”
”Oh! Nononono! Nothing bad nothing bad!-“
*sigh of relief* “hah, that’s good 😅”
*awkward yet adorable giggles come from both you and Vivi*
“well..what I wanted to talk about was…us, as in…who we are”
“Oh no Vivi don’t come out and tell me we’re aliens now we’ve barely finished cleaning up alabasta! 😭😂😂”
”what?? Hey! No! I-I’m trying to be serious here! 🤦‍♀️“
”OH! Oops 😄 go ahead go ahead!”
“I meant who we are as in, as a….relationship! Like- um..we’re friends right? Soo..if we could be……”
“Vivi..you mean..?”
”YEAH! 😭😅 I mean if- if we could be..more, if- if you want if not we can just stay friends-“
”No! I- hahah, I honestly never thought you’d ask, like- literally! I’ve kinda been waiting but you never did so is assumed-“
lots of awkward laughing and explaining of feelings ensue from there 💗(🏳️‍🌈😜)
actually being in a relationship with her includes training, yes training, because you never know what could happen. Just as crocodile happened and no one knew he would. So from now on she wants to be prepared, she refuses to be blindsided again—for the sake of her people!
she’s a cute mix of awkward, kind and a tad bit shy 💗 it’s like, she almost wouldn’t know how to act around you if you weren’t so close, but you are! So that makes things easier :)
she’s highly knowledgeable and I feel she’d have quiet a bit of hobbies. if you like to do similar things she’d love to partake in those activities with you! But if you have different interests, exploring each one as you teach her about them would be fun too! <3
Vivi is a literally princess, which means as her lover you get princess treatment! 😘 (all puns intended) She can afford it after all! Pell and Vivi’s father would adore you! You make Vivi so happy, how can they not?!
she talks about you more often than you know 🤫 “Dad!! Don’t tell her that!- it’s kind of embarrassing you know?!” oops Vivi heard him
well anyway 😊
Vivi is a very caring and protective lover as seen with Nami (when she stayed by her side the whole time she was ill). So of course that’s not any different when it comes to you, it’s highly likely Vivi knows first aid so if you get a minor injury? Be more careful!! 🩹❤️‍🩹💋 A major injury?! Hurry! Rush her to the royal hospital! Quickly! Giver her the best treatment! It’s okay, relax, she’s here 💖
Vivi will be with you through thick and thin and her loyalty is unwavering. She may not be the strongest banana in the bunch but she’ll certainly defend you with all she has if it comes down to it! 😤💪
Also!!! Can’t believe I haven’t mentioned this yet!!- Karoo!!!! Karoo loves you <33 Vivi thinks your bond is adorable, especially how Karoo always lets you ride on him :} you bring him snacks and drinks and he runs to you each time. If your tired of walking he’ll carry you without complaints as well so that’s a perk!
I feel the other spot billed ducks would love you as well! Karoo probably tells them how great you are 🤗 You might even like one of them enough to make them your duck! (I would, they seem cooler than a freezer 😎👍)
Okayyy~ lovely readers, followers and anyone new here..!
I hope you enjoyed these headcanons!!~

Forget Me (Part 4)
Tumblr media
2nd update because I actually wrote a lot already.
Taglist : @letssayless
You were drinking sake at highest peak at Amazon Lily and you lament your position in Amazon Lily.
You could take on other jobs but there was still a slight chance that Hancock will see you. You don't want to be a member of Kuja Pirates at all (You'd rather die). Apparently, the universe is giving you one choice only.
"Nav-" Before you finish your thought, you spot a ship with large paddles and frown.
"Pirates? Invaders?" You drop the sake and quickly go to the port with your Geppo.
You observe the men and grit your teeth. Looks like your intuition was right.
"Invaders!" Your shout not only alerted the Kuja Members but the invaders as well. The men glance at you in surprise and before they could even react, you already unsheath your sword and begin cutting them one by one.
One of them manages to land a slash across your arm and you hum.
"Not bad." You say as you slash that man as well. You glance around and hum. So many of them stare as you activate your armament haki. "Come." You say coldly and some of them tremble at your bloodlust.
-
As the ship lands on the port, so many of the Kuja tribe have already drawn their bows and were aiming at it.
"Invaders!" Mari calls out. "Go out with your hands up or else we'll shoot!" They all anticipate men but it was a familiar voice that greeted them.
"No need." You say as you show up on the deck of the ship. You jump down and everyone could see your bloodied state, Sonia and Mari shake as you sigh. "It's not all mine. Explore the ship and see if they have any treasures. I'm going to get-" Before you could a step further, you were hit in the head.
"What are you talking about!? Medic! Get over here immediately!" You see Elder Nyon and you shake your head.
"It's not mine, Elder Nyon. I didn't get hurt much." You glare at the doctors who were getting closer and they stop.
"But-"
"Please. I know myself. More than anyone here does." You didn't mean to but that statement hurt everyone in the vicinity. Specially Gloriosa, Mari and Sonia considering they were your family. You hum as you leave and everyone just watches you.
What the hell?
-
You were bandaging yourself up as you lament your choice.
'Navy, huh?' You sigh. 'But what else is there? One that makes practically no contact with Han-' You grin as you realize.
"Herbalist!"
-
"What do you mean she took care of everything?" Hancock reads over the report of the port incident and she almost destroys the paper as she keeps reading on. "WHERE IS SHE RIGHT NOW!?"
"At home, probably-" Hancock storms out of the castle and quickly makes her way towards you while clutching the pendant.
-
You were planning out everything with your notebook when the door slams open. You pay it no mind as you sense Hancock's presence.
"This is what you call fine!?" Hancock asks as she looks over you. You were full of bandages on both arms and legs and there was even one on your cheek. Hancock gets even more pissed as you don't answer her at all. "Hey!" You sigh and close your notebook.
"Can I help you with anything, Your Majesty?" You ask coldly as you pocket your notebook. Why does she keep on barging in here?
"You-" Hancock shakes her head as she calms herself down. "The port incident." You hum boredly, confirming to her that you were listening. "Why did you leave without any medical assis-"
"Because I don't want anyone touching me." You say and you open the door. "Now please leave, Empress. You might be the ruler but please do not overstep your citizens' boundaries." You say with a smile but your tone was threatening.
"No." Hancock brings out the pendant and you roll your eyes. Of course, she doesn't remember. "What does this mean?"
"Nothing. Please leave."
"There's an engraving here with our names. What does it mean?" She asks again and you yawn at her.
"Nothing. If you're not leaving then I will." Before Hancock could even react, you were already out the door and sneaking into your room's window. You sigh in relief as you plop down on your bed. You close your eyes and sleep.
-
"Y/N!" The girl you've been crushing on calls out and you sigh as you sit beside her.
"It's dangerous out here, you know?" You say to a younger Boa Hancock and she grins.
"You're not scared at all either, though?" You chuckle at that.
"Fair." You look out over the sea and smile as you feel the air.
"You look cute like that." Hancock says and you blush.
"Stop it." You try to make your blush go away but you pause as you see a necklace in front of you. "Wha-"
"Happy Birthday!" You honestly tried to forget about it as it was a painful reminder that Gloriosa found you on the sea.
"Oh." You look at the engraving and blush at it. "Our names?" You ask and Hancock grins.
"Yeah! I want us to be together forever so I engraved it! It's not as sturdy as stone but it'll work! We'll make it work!"
"Forever, huh?" You smile as you wear the necklace.
-
You wake up with a startle and groan.
It's been a while since you saw that memory. You used to be so happy when you see it. But now, it just brings you unnecessary pain. You groan as you sit up. You notice that the sun hasn't even come up yet.
"Fuck. I need to be tired." So you run your energy outside.
You were running around the forest when Margaret tackles you.
"Wha- Margaret-"
"I found her! She's here!" She shouts and you were flabbergasted as many Kuja Members mob you and some were even crying in relief.
What is happening????
"The Empress said that you left again. She panicly organized a search party to see if she can figure out where you are." Kikyo explains and you grimace at that.
"Sorry for the trouble." You sigh as everyone releases you.
"No trouble."
"Please don't leave again, Y/N." Sweet Pea pleads and she even cries. You panic as you see most of them were on the verge of tears.
"I won't leave again! I promise!"
"You promise?" Aphrlandra asks and you smile at her. You rustle her head and grin.
"I promise. I won't leave the island again."
-
You go back to the house and see Elder Nyon sipping her tea.
"That was cruel." You say as you take a seat in front of her. "You could've just told them." You grab a piece of toast and you bite into it.
"And miss the panic look on her face? Never." You hum.
"Did she really?" Elder Nyon nods.
"She desperately looked for you herself everywhere. Nice hiding place, by the way."
"It's just my room."
"Exactly." You hum as you continue eating your breakfast.
Why would she panic?
-
"She's here!?" Sonia nods in confirmation and Hancock sighs in relief.
When she saw you disappear last night, her whole body felt cold and her heart kept hurting. She's already known how it felt without you for a year. She isn't and will never be ready to repeat that feeling again.
"Do you two know about this necklace?" Hancock shows it to them and the two look at each other.
"Isn't that Y/N's first and last birthday present from you?"
"What?"
"Yeah, I think I remember her saying that we all don't need to give her presents anymore and just focus on training and-"
"Becoming an Empress."
But why this engraving? Why did Hancock give this to you?

Ironic Considering Gloriosa And Kuma Were On The Same Island As Each Other Due To Battle At God's Valley
Tumblr media
Again a case of so many other characters that were around the same area in the past, but ignorant that the other was there. It's just so funny.
