Two blokes slacking off at work :p
Cretan diplomats based on a painting of the tomb of Rekhmire, Luxor. I was intruigued by the leopard skirt thingy one of them is wearing and drew a more or less realistic interpretation of it! The other guy's there so he can have a buddy.
While i usually draw people looking as average as possible, it's not the case here. It's fair to assume that within the "PR" context of the painting (representing their people in front of a foreign king) these would be the ancient aegean's hottest boytoys, so I kept them snatched and smooth shaved.
Originals under the cut!
Mural with my chosen duo highlighted

Today was completely a recovery day from last night! I had to go in and work off those drinks from last night. Making friends & meeting new people is so exciting and fun but my focus is being the best me I can be. Living my life instead of surviving my life. Super excited about this journey! Qimma Ruso is my idol. I don’t want to have a body exactly like hers but pretty similar and I can’t wait to see my legs all swoll

Look at him ❤️
My imperfect little boy, around 10cm high and with a lot of quirks.
In the future, I will print a bigger version and re-adjust the supports so there will be fewer bumps and nooks, but this is my “firstborn” so to speak and I love him all the same.
Btw, I left out the jewelry in the modeling process on purpose so that it is possible to decorate the figure to ones own liking.

I learned something fascinating this evening.
In Egyptian mythology, Apep, the god of chaos and darkness who could take the form of a snake, devours the sun god, Ra. Apep's Greek equivalent is Erebus/Erebos, with whom Aaravos shares a similar name, and who is referenced on Aaravos' official TDP wiki page.
And what did Aaravos, the chaotic elf with a snake-esque familiar who gifted dark magic to humanity, do? Swallowed the sun queen.
I love mythology.

A large Egyptian gesso-painted wood model boat. Middle Kingdom, circa 2133-1797 B.C.
The sailing boat manned by ten sailors arranged in two parallel rows, with a further crew member facing forward and helmsman in the curved stern with a rudder, with a linen sail, the hull painted red, 130cm long. Boats were an integral part of everyday Egyptian life and mythology and as such were considered necessary for the afterlife. Two model boats were usually provided for each tomb, one showing the crew sailing south with the prevailing wind and the other the crew rowing north to allow the deceased to see the whole world of Egypt in both directions, but it also stands for the life and afterlife.. Both papyrus and wooden boats were recreated as models and represent the diversity of Egyptian boats.
