Eating habits that I thought ended.
I think I’ve overeaten today. The burping wouldn’t stop, and as if that wasn’t enough, I decided to get chips to go with my milk tea. Bad idea. The burping got worse, and at some point, it went so wrong that I kinda…vomited. Gross, I know, but weirdly enough, it was sort of relieving? Like, not that I recommend it, but it felt oddly satisfying.
Even though, all I could think about was how my throat’s probably suffering from this and my teeth might just fall out if I keep doing this. Also, the waste! The food, my money—ugh, I just puked out a whole Thai tea! But honestly, it felt…nice. It was disgusting to see my dinner like that, but suddenly, I wasn’t hungry anymore and didn’t feel too full either.
So… is that a win?
My brain was waving red flags, screaming, “This is NOT how digestion works!” But here I was, ignoring it like a pro. I knew deep down that this cycle was probably doing more harm than good. The whole burping, puking, and eating again thing? Definitely not a sustainable lifestyle choice. My throat felt a little raw, and I imagined my teeth getting weaker with every acid bath they endured. Not to mention, I was wasting food and, worse, wasting money!
But here’s the thing: even knowing it was bad, I still found myself reaching for another bite. It’s like when you know you should stop scrolling at 2 a.m. because sleep is important, but instead, you click just one more episode. I guess we’re all just a little self-destructive in our own tiny ways.
A part of me was already dreading tomorrow, where my stomach would probably hate me and my throat would burn like I drank hot lava. Yet, right now, in this moment, it felt… manageable? Maybe even worth it? There’s something weirdly comforting about the immediate relief, even if I know I’m gonna pay for it later. It’s like my brain has this weird loophole where it convinces itself that “future me” can deal with the consequences.
And yeah, I know it’s bad to do this. I should stop, learn some self-control or whatever. But eating tasted good, and throwing it up kind of helps. So, I guess I’ll deal with the guilt when my stomach inevitably revolts.
