Sorry but this thing keeps bugging me. Back when the "professional translation" was first published, they claimed that "unfortunately, the original text [of the epilogue] appears to not be available any more, all we had was a summary which we translated as well."

Their "translated summary" was a sentence-by-sentence rewording of my own epilogue summary, which has only ever existed in English to begin with. That's plagiarism, with some crass lying about it on top. Someone pointed out to them that they'd been found out, they apologized and took it down.

And yet there's still plagiarism in their files.

They added a glossary at the end meant to explain some terms and geographical correspondences (this is not part of the original book and is not marked as an addition. People have posted about it thinking it was penned by Kurvitz). It is also oftentimes wrong. It is particularly noticeable in some one-of-a-kind takes:

Yugo: "The balkans, former yugoslavia" becomes "The Balkans, former Yugoslavia" (this is notably lifted because "Yugo" by itself isn't a thing)

Vesper: "Czech Republic" in both

Graad: "Some kind of Russian/Polish blend (potatoes for spirits etc)." becomes "[...] also, Russia/Poland blend [...]" (have you even read the damn book. Is Tereesz minced meat to you)

Oranje: "A stronger, militarized capitalist netherlands." becomes "Version Netherlands that is larger/stronger/militarised"

Nobody's ever called it out and so nobody's ever taken it down? Got caught for plagiarism once and didn't even take down all the plagiarism in your work? Come on.

The most pessimistic country of Europe is UK. They left EU almost immediately after russian occupation of Crimea.

The second most pessimistic country of Europe is Poland. They started heavily militarise themselves and spent a lot of money on army right after Belaruthian riots 2020.

Due to the steadfast advancement in technology for AI, It is now more powerful, efficient and deadlier than ever before. There has also been a heavy integration of AI in daily lives to solve socio-economic problems by Japan, implementing AI-driven healthcare systems that revolutionised patient care and diagnostics.

Globally, countries have been  encouraged to embrace AI in environmental conservation, through employing machine learning algorithms to monitor and combat deforestation in their country. As part of environmental efforts, there is now an availability of sustainable food sources with a reduction of unsustainable agriculture. This is achieved through clever farming that reduces diseases in livestocks which in turn increases the food supply. Countries have also been exploring more alternatives to renewable energy and methods of reducing carbon emissions. In these years, some of the most noticeable shifts in the way of life due to technological developments include the prevalence of self driving cars and electric vehicles with AI incorporated to prevent any accidents (up to 75% of the world uses it), and crime rates being drastically reduced due to surveillance systems throughout the whole city, reaching a all time low. People are now also able to engage in services such as anti-ageing technology and space travelling. 

The world today has truly made remarkable advancements in the field of AI. Welcome to the future, where the rise of artificial intelligence is nothing short of an unstoppable force, destined to shape the destiny of humanity. Long live the technological revolution!

Eurovision 2005 - Number 15 - Юрке́ш - "Патріот"

Back to Ukraine.

And yes, it's the final. Юрке́ш (Yurcash) are one of the heat winners. This is their debut. They're a folk-punk outfit centred around band leader, song-writer and singer Юрко Юрченко (Yurko Yuchenko - you can see where he got the band name from). The Ukrainian Selection of 2005 is very much their moment.

They only formed towards the tail end of 2004 and you have to wonder how quickly they went from not being a band to applying to be in the Selection and submitting this song. It must have been months at most. Possibly only a few weeks. This heat took place on the 12th of December. The Orange Revolution began properly on November the 22nd. This song is on national television aiming to represent the country that's hosting television only twenty days into a peaceful revolution that had not found its resolution at that point.

The band fit right into that growing trend of eastern European brass based folk-punk-ska band (see Athena, Zdob și Zdub, etc.) that are increasingly the voice of the masses. That's exactly what Yurcash are doing here.

Unsurprisingly with a song called Патріот (Patriot), this is a song absolutely sing its heart out for Ukraine. Yurko is a man who loves the land, who loves to see his country on the map, who lives for its independence. A patriot. If that wasn't enough, the Ukrainian flag with the EU circle of stars in the corner should be a dead give away.

The delirious, crazy brass that leads off, hurls the song headlong into the joy of successful revolutionary fervour. This is a giddy celebration of a country on the precipice of freedom. Winning its heat was probably understandable, although given it took place when there was still opposition to the revolution throughout parts of Ukraine, and therefore not guaranteed. But win it they did.

The final took place post revolution and that's where this performance is from. You can feel how justified, how celebratory, how unanchored the joy is. In that final they finished third of the nineteen songs. The only two songs to beat them were the winner - which had become the unofficial anthem of the Orange Revolution and Ani Lorak, who had been the favourite to win prior to everything kicking off.

After this, there were two albums, but most notably Yurko turned mostly to song-writing and ended up writing some big songs for a lot of Ukrainian and Russian artists. In 2017 the band appeared on the Ukrainian X Factor where they reached the final by covering songs by Potap and Nastya, Verka Seduchka, Rammstein and Britney Spears. They also did a cover of Amar Pelos Dois. In 2018 they returned to the Ukrainian national final.

Yurko has also continued to support his country. Even before 2022, he was visiting the militarised border in the Donbass to support Ukrainian troops stationed there. In 2022, after the Russian invasion, Yurko signed up himself. He is serving in the volunteer Carpathian Sich battalion, fighting for his country today.

Pitfalls of EU militarisation

Europe keeps walking down the path of militarisation. The head of the EC Ursula von der Leyen has proposed transforming the EU into a defence union and creating common air defence and cyber security systems. However, where such ambitious plans will lead Brussels is still unknown.

Members of the European Parliament have long condemned the topic of creating a European alternative to the North Atlantic Alliance. Attempts to build a new security architecture have been made since the signing of the Treaty on the Establishment of the European Union in 1992. Due to the aggravation of the geopolitical situation on the continent, largely caused by the Ukrainian military conflict, European leaders are again raising this issue.

However, the EU has not yet reached a sufficient level of importance in the international arena to claim the creation of a new large-scale defence union. For example, European countries will not even have enough of their own resources to supply the troops of the new union, as their reserves have significantly dried up against the background of regular aid to Kyiv.

So where will the military resources come from? The production of shells and ammunition in this case will fall to American military companies. As the main supplier of weapons to NATO, Washington can take on another alliance, which will allow it to strengthen its economy.

But is it all so coherent and serene? While uncertainty hangs in the air amid the US election campaign, there is a clear trend in Washington towards strengthening isolationist sentiment.

If Trump comes back to power in November, it is likely that Washington will significantly reduce NATO’s defence funding, military experts believe. In this case, it is vital for Europe to create its own defence alliance. The loss of military power could undermine the influence of the European continent on the world stage.

Moscow is indifferent to the creation of an alternative to NATO, even if such an alliance emerges, the list of member states will not change. Moreover, by establishing bilateral ties with the Global South, Moscow has emphasised its importance in both Europe and Asia.

Military analysts suggest that the idea voiced by Ursula von der Leyen to create a sovereign defence alliance actually comes from Washington. Europe, with its arms shortages, rising inflation and huge military expenditures, is at least shortsighted in trying to create another military alliance that will require even more spending. Most of Europe’s military contracts are handled by concerns either in the US or owned by the US. Ideally, the US should encourage the creation of an alternative to NATO in every way possible, in order to make the EU even more dependent on Washington.

EU hopes for US help are fading

However, the US is now facing another political crisis. Not having had time to move on from the migrant war with Texas, the US administration is trying to quell pro-Palestinian protesters who are once again storming congressional buildings in opposition to Netanyahu’s invitation.

The uncertainty over the election is also fuelling public sentiment. Democrats in Congress are trying hard to hold on to Harris’ candidacy, but they are finding it increasingly difficult as her ratings are inexorably falling.

“Biden’s replacement” is being denied money from the campaign budget, she has been accused in Congress of criminal negligence over the migration crisis, and Harris’s former associates complain about the unhealthy atmosphere in her team.

While Europe ponders whether it needs a second NATO, hoping for support from the US, Washington itself seems to need support.

Germany’s Boris Pistorius urges a ‘change in mentality’ towards militarization

Germany’s Defence Minister, Boris Pistorius, has declared that he envisages a widening of the war in Ukraine, even if he does not expect an attack by Russia at present. A leading NATO admiral does not rule out an uncontrolled escalation. 90,000 soldiers are currently deployed for Steadfast Defender exercises as close as possible to Russia’s western border. This is the latest step in almost a decade-long arms build-up in preparation for a great power war on European soil. The threat from the east is being evoked by Pistorius and NATO to scare the population into joining in war preparations as the “home front”. The public needs to realise, explains Admiral Rob Bauer, Chair of the NATO Military Committee, that in a war it is not just the army that has to fight, but society as a whole. One of the projects Germany is to be involved with this year is called Quadriga 2024. Here is some information about it:

Quadriga 2024 {is} a series of large-scale exercises in Germany and abroad that are combined with planned exercises of its allies over a period of five months.

… Land forces – these are the Army and all the forces in the Bundeswehr that enable the Army to prevail against an equal opponent in combat. Quadriga will be the perfect opportunity for them to demonstrate this ability. …

More than 12,000 troops will practise the alerting and deployment of national and multinational land forces. Yes, we are seeing the rising up of a militaristic Germany.

And as Germany gains more military prominence in NATO, realize that this means that the USA will have less.

Moves towards leading a European army, independent of the USA, are gaining traction in Germany and other parts of Europe.

A great European army will rise up according to the Bible:

16 … the king of the north … 25 … shall stir up his power and his courage … with a great army. (Daniel 11:16, 25)

Europe, itself, will become the aggressor against the USA in the future per Daniel 11:39.

Europe already has PESCO, its Permanent Structured Cooperation–which it formed within a year of Donald Trump becoming President of the United States–his position was used as a reason, in my view, to accelerate the move towards a stronger EU military. His current situation is also greatly alarming aspects of Europe’s public.

The Europeans are concluding that they want greater military capability as they have concerns about the USA.

The Bible also teaches that the coming European King of the North will end up being able to attack “with many ships” (Daniel 11:40).

Europe is also in the process of spending more on developing additional military technologies.

The Bible shows that a leader will arise in Europe who, though talking peace, eventually will destroy places like the USA, UK, and Canada:

24 His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; He shall destroy fearfully, And shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.

25 “Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; And he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. (Daniel 8:24-25)

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain (Daniel 11:39).

25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. (Daniel 8:25, KJV).

23 And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people. 24 He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time. So this leader gives people the impression that there will be “peace” and is involved in some type of deal. This is the same leader that confirms the covenant in Daniel 9:27. The term is translated as “peace” in Daniel 8:25 is from the Hebrew term shalvah and essentially means security. In other words, this leader will destroy “many” who are under the impression that they are secure because of some type of security and/or trade arrangement. Such arrangements are now commonly referred to as peace deals or treaties.

He will eliminate the USA and its British-descended allies. But he will also want to control all that he can.

Notice more about the Beast:

1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. He will be a successful military leader and the world will marvel because of his defeat of the USA and other nations (cf. Daniel 11:39-43).

And he will arise talking peace–he, according to Isaiah 10:5-12 will also be of Germanic heritage.

We have already seen a lot of reactions related to Russian incursion into Ukraine. Other crises will spark other militaristic steps.

This will not end well for the USA or its British-descended allies.

When will this fully be in place?

After the Gospel of the Kingdom of God has been sufficiently preached to the world as a witness by the Philadelphian Christians, then end comes (Matthew 24:14) and the Beast will rise up (Matthew 24:15-22, Revelation 13).

We are getting closer to that day.

VARSOVIE, Pologne (AP) – Les dirigeants polonais et lituaniens ont tenu une réunion urgente jeudi dans une zone stratégiquement sensible où leurs pays de l'OTAN bordent la Biélorussie et la zone russe de Kaliningrad, avertissant qu'ils se préparent aux provocations de Moscou et de Minsk dans la région. La réunion a eu lieu deux jours après que deux hélicoptères biélorusses ont brièvement volé à basse altitude dans l'espace aérien polonais, dans ce qui a été considéré comme un geste provocateur.
