There's definitely a convo to be had about male characters getting more space to be complex than female characters, but that's not what's going here. What's going on here is a treasure trove of fandom feminists have decided that Jason has far too many ~feminine~ traits and that he doesn't deserve to have the support he has within the fandom. Why they’ve come to this conclusion is so inane and idiotic, I refuse to dignify it with a response, but it’s that type of shit why I rly want us to go back to the days of decentralized fandom spaces. Anyway, I would bet money that most of those so called Helena stans don't even care about her like that as a character; they just hate Jason.

Which kinda sucks, cause I find Hintress - like all the Gotham vigilantes - to be fascinating characters. But my want to actually pursue any new info on her has been dead on arrival, because her stans are fucking assholes.

Bottom line, Jason’s story resonates with a lot of people. If you don’t get it or can’t bring yourself to understand, then like… Don’t. You don’t have to. The world would be so much better off if people learned that sometimes… the media you consume is just as personal as it what it says about you publicly.

And then she will take her final form: Magic Betty from Adventure Time, betraying her allies and saving her frost gf at the expense of the world. It would also parallel what Ankarna is going through (‘your girlfriend’s out of town, it sucks’, becoming a little imperialist rage machine under the influence of Porter/Sunstone but not being able to fully turn on Lucy despite going against her values and turning into a violent weirdo). the sheer volume of titans tower aus are the most baffling thing to me because fic fandom treats it like this Core Event that his entire life is oriented around… they always treat tim like he’s a newbie who just picked up a bo staff five minutes ago when that couldn’t be further from the truth. he’s existed for over a decade at that point. he’s had over a hundred issues of a solo, not even touching his appearances anywhere else. in universe, he’s been robin for at least 3-4 years. he had AN ENTIRE OTHER TEAM who’s series ran for three years and had comics wide crossovers twice. he was enlisted in a war. he’s time traveled. he’s been to apocalips. he’s not a little baby who’s in too deep that kid’s been to space.

Me: It makes sense why the Pokémon anime has chosen to retire Ash as the protagonist now. After winning the Alola League and now claiming victory in the Masters Tournament, he’s reached a perfect point in his journey to bring his story to a close. I mean his story, and his journey, will of course continue on even without us being along for the ride as we have been for the past 20+ years. But for the anime’s story itself Ash’s journey has reached a perfect point to close things out. I mean it’s obvious it was coming what with all the callbacks to Ash’s past companions and Pokémon. So while it is sad to say goodbye it was expected and I will be more than willing to give the new protagonists a chance in the upcoming anime adaptation of Paldea!☺️

Also me, sobbing pitifully: B-but….. Ash and Arven potentially becoming friends🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 Ash and Pikachu interacting with Miraidon or Koraidon🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 Seeing what Pokémon from Paldea Ash gets and seeing which Pokémon he and I both clicked with🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 ASH 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
