Additional context:
It was her stepdad.
He raised her while her real dad was missing for like 20 years. In her early 20's she reconnected with her biological father.
At her wedding, the girl asked her real father to walk her down the aisle. So the step-dad refused to pay for her wedding. He said he felt betrayed. Her real father also refused to pay and THEN she went to bitch about it on TikTok.

Anyone else have a sibling that HAS to have ALL the attention and is entitled as fuck?
My sister is so fucking entitled it makes me sick. And she’s fake on top of it all.
So I know accidents happen and it only takes one time to get pregnant. And I know you’re wondering why this is an issue and you’re probably thinking I’m an asshole.
Well, we live on the family farm with our parents because this country is a hellscape. She was going through trade school, which fine I get them supporting her through that. However, her boyfriend lives here too (that’s partially my parents stupid mistake) and neither of them have a job or source of income.
Like. At all.
My parents FULLY support them financially and otherwise. And they had the fucking nerve to get pregnant and KEEP it..? On someone else’s dime? In a home that there is literally no room for a good damn baby? With a broke ass, dead beat ass fiancé..? Because of course they’re engaged. Idk how they’re going to get married or with what money. She wants to do that before she has the baby. L O FUCKING L.
Oh, but there’s more. Not only did my parents and I pay for her trade school, she slacked off and took too many “personal days” because she was upset about social things at school. Which created MORE fees adding up to 2300 dollars. Which I paid so she could graduate. Bitch. You are almost 22. Shut the fuck up.
ON TOP of that, I found a nice little manufactured home for a low price and showed her because it was cute. Not that I can afford it, but it’s fun to window shop and the bitch says, “I should have mom and dad help me with that.”
Our parents cannot afford to do that. And I told her so. She then gets all sad and butthurt. Like, excuse me? We literally grew up poor as dirt and she thinks our parents are just going to buy her everything? I know they spoiled the fuck out of her and that’s partially why she’s such a selfish brat, but honestly, it’s her personality.
But wait. THERE’S MORE.
Not only is she pregnant on our parents dime, she signed up for state insurance incorrectly and was just going to give up even after our other sister told her exactly how to do it and offered help. Her response? “Oh, mom and dad will pay for it.”
WITH WHAT MONEY, BITCH?!
She does next to fucking nothing around the house and is overly fucking sensitive about anything and everything. She’s also a little bitch ass know it all and she literally has no fucking clue about how anything in this world works, including her own body. Yes. She doesn’t even know how her vagina works and she decides to have a god damn baby that no one can afford.
And now I’m the asshole because I’m NOT excited. Nor do I have to be. She lied about “the condom didn’t fit right.” Then why did you do it? Especially when she KNEW she was ovulating..?
She tried to have a kid with her last fiancé under the same exact circumstances, but aborted that one because she realized it was a bad idea. Mind you, I’m the only one who knows this. If my hyper religious parents found out, they’d go ballistic. Part of me wishes I hadn’t protected her from that. Anyway, she did this shit on purpose. I know when she’s lying and she can’t even keep her lame ass story straight.
I am so done with her rn.
**** UPDATE
He finally got a decent job. Even though he could’ve been working a meager in between one instead of relying on my family for everything for over a year but whatever I guess. At least he’s got a job now.

So I finally found out who the transphobic anon was who was sending hateful messages to both me and @pixie-skull some months ago. They sent me another anonymous ask back then too that I never published because it was easily the grossest one out of all of them and I didn't want it to see the light of day. But here they outed themselves by referring to something they said in some of their anonymous asks to me and @pixie-skull
Usually I'd censor people's names when I share this kind of bullshit, but 1, some people don't really deserve that courtesy and I definitely think entitled, bratty transphobes are in that group and 2, this entire conversation is public on my YouTube channel in my community tab so go right ahead and read it for yourself if you feel so inclined.
If this person wisens up and delete their comments, I'll censor their name in this post though.
Transcript is below the "keep reading"
FanFromCartoonAndfilms: Please read my message it's much important.
AiraSora: What message and where?
FanFromCartoonAndfilms: The message I'm talking for you it's make masking from Disney from film of the lion king.
AiraSora: Uh, what? Sorry, I don't see any messages from you anywhere besides the one you've written here, so I don't know what you're talking about.. But since I don't edit with animals then I don't have any maskings of the lion king. Sorry.
FanFromCartoonAndfilms: l'll explain better. l'm telling you to research the film from the Lion king download the vídeo, and after remove the background of characters. Understand now?
AiraSora: I don't take orders from you. The answer is no.
FanFromCartoonAndfilms: 🙄😤 ok don't do that l SEE l'm not welcome here on the Channel because of the embarrassment l caused was just asking for a favor but you ll regret humiliating me Sorry okay i don't Go ask for you bye

GUYS let’s all collectively send brainwaves to make sure this this idiot doesn’t go on the internet ever again 🥰
Please answer my question about the printed colors on the plushies. It's a bit odd that you're just ignoring them. It's a fairly simple question to answer.
Is it odd? I've explained on multiple occasions that I'm not deliberately ignoring questions. I have literally thousands of messages in my inbox. I cannot possibly answer every one of them on my own preferred time schedule, let alone yours. Similar to the other character plushies, the new tater plushies feature a combination of dye sublimation color, embroidered details, appliqué, and tailored doll clothing.

Rumor Reba McEntire Called Taylor Swift 'An entitled brat' Reba Sets the Record Straight
PHOTO: Getty Images A post was made earlier this week on the social media site America Loves Liberty, claiming that the 68-year-old country music icon was upset with the way 34-year-old Swift behaved during McEntire’s 2024 Super Bowl performance. “Reba McIntire [sic] talks about how disappointed she was to look up at the big screen while performing The National Anthem, only to see Taylor Swift…

it’s so hilarious to me that… certain parts… of the fandom respond to every dean birthday post with “NO HE’S DEAD BUT HES WITH SAM SO ITS OK. THAT WAS THE POINT OF THE SHOW “
He’s actually not with Sam. I do mean this canonically. He’s on a Ramble On by Led Zeppelin style journey, universe-hopping in his car, searching for his happiness specifically without Sam per The Winchesters. :)

I think one of the (many) reasons I feel justified in being a bit of a hater about DA:TV is that not only did I spend the $70 for the game, I shelled out $500 for a new console just to be able to play it. Yes, I would have eventually upgraded, but probably not for another year or more. Mr. Megh and I made it our anniversary present to ourselves, but we've got a lot of house project stuff we could've spent that money on instead. My old Xbox ran just fine and I had plenty more games to play and revisit with it.
And yeah, it's not DA's fault that consoles are being upgraded/made obsolete at a stupid pace. But for the price of $570 yes I am entitled to be a bit bitter about an experience that disappointed me (and also roll my eyes at anyone who decries that entitlement).

I’m not asking for a detailed essay with cited sources (although I wouldn’t oppose it). But for the love of all things holy, please justify your requests for a “Part 2, 3, 4, etc.”
Asking for a continuation without expressing gratitude for what is provided or even explaining why a story should be continued comes across as greedy and selfish, especially considering most of the people who ask either don’t follow me or never reblog my stories.
“Hey, this is delightful. If you continue this, please tag me.” I get plenty of those comments and am forever grateful to receive them. But simply saying “Part 2” does not motivate me to continue a story. In fact, it makes me not want to share it out of spite.

The next textbook author who writes a proof longer than 3 nontrivial sentences and does not sketch the structure of the proof in advance, I'll fucking strangle.
You are not here to discharge your obligations to a proof checker! You are here to impart the ability to generate this bullshit! Separate your proof steps! I see posts about how Mizu’s husband betrayed her and how Taigen can be different from that...
But we forget Ringo in this argument.
Mizu never had someone truly care for her apart from Master Eiji (and while I suspect he knows) as far as Mizu’s concerned he doesn't know she's a woman.
Her husband didn't know she was a warrior.
But Ringo? She's mixed race; he doesn't care. He figures out she's a woman; he doesn't care. The only thing he cares about is that she's “great.”
I would argue that he knows Mizu in her entirety and accepts her as such. Further exemplified by the fact that Mizu chooses Taigen over her mission—because she's reminded of Ringo’s disappointed over her not helping Akemi.
In the end, it doesn't matter if Mizu ends up with Taigen or Akemi or anyone. I have yet to finish the show and I don't know what point they would make about revenge. Maybe I wouldn't know even when I do finish the show because it's only season 1.
But one thing is that Mizu never had anyone accept her, all of her. Except Ringo.
It doesn't always have to be about romance. It can be friendship too.
Mizu’s husband wasn't the only one who betrayed her, the implication that it could have been her mother is also there. In the end it didn't matter who did. These were two people who were supposed to love her unconditionally but didn't (whether the love is romantic or platonic is irrelevant)
And when Mizu chooses to retreat, her and Taigen both badly injured, she thinks of Ringo. She used not to care, but I was glad to see she cared about Ringo’s rejection.
#ringo is the best boy in the entire show i swear#taigen and akemi are both brats and entitled#mizu is hard to criticise because she has good reasons for the way she is#but she's hardly perfect#but ringo?#by god i love ringo#blue eye samurai#mizu#ringo#i just felt like word vomiting

Will Graham thing I've been thinking about lately:
I don't think Will grew up poor.
Or, to put it more accurately, I don't think the show was successful in depicting Will as someone who grew up poor.
I know it's canon that Will did grow up poor... but Will really doesn't act like it?
Thinking S1, he doesn't act humble; like someone who has long been taught not to expect a lot from the world. Instead he acts arrogant and entitled; like someone who expects to be given special treatment, and is then bitter about the fact that he isn't (or isn't given even more of it). That's not grew-up-poor behaviour.
He's not envious of or deferential to rich people because of their wealth; he's not awed by grand spaces. He works a high prestige white collar job with no sign of discomfort or class-based self-reproach about it, outside of its effect on his empathy. We know even approaches authority figures in his chosen career and openly disagrees with them (like disagreeing with Jack about what to call the Evil Minds Research Museum.)
Someone who grew up poor and unspoiled wouldn't behave like this. They wouldn't be tickled by the idea of being handled like fine china, and wouldn't be bitter about being treated like an old mug. They'd be used to that. They'd be more likely to take the stance of 'well yeah I'm an old mug, but what's wrong with an old mug? still a perfectly good mug! I don't need special treatment!'
(Or, they'd be resentful that other colleagues are treated like fine china because they grew up middle-class or rich. He'd be annoyed that Jack is respectful to Alana, who is not more qualified or competent than him, but does have more 'middle class' background. (Raised peacocks as a kid? Who the hell has that kind of money??) Zeller gives off more 'lower-class boy with a grudge' vibes, with his resentment of Will, than Will does with other people.)
A raised-poor guy wouldn't repeatedly go to authority figures, as Will goes to Jack, expecting to be treated nicely, and then be distressed when they aren't. Top of the things of a poor person would not expect from life.
And look at Will and Hannibal. Superficially opposites because of class... but are they tho?? Both home/land owners in high prestige white collar jobs. They're as opposite as Lizzie and Mr Darcy.
It's almost like Will warms up to Hannibal so quickly because Hannibal is the first person who treats Will as reverently as Will thinks he's entitled to, deep down. (Will could not be as bitter as he is unless he was first arrogant, as Jack described.) Hannibal is a rich person, and he treats Will like an equal, ie. like a fellow rich person.
(Maybe that would also explain Will's automatic 'get out of being killed for being rude' card; because rich-guy Hannibal gives people who are like him a pass. You have to be really deliberately obnoxiously rude, like Mason Verger.)
And then there's the way Will barges into Hannibal's spaces and throws his shit down messily; unthinkingly, without even deigning to look at it. That's not raised-poor behaviour. That's brat behaviour. (As Hugh Dancy often describes him, Will is bratty.)
A lower class Will would never have had the opportunity to cultivate such 'yeah, toss ur shit wherever, the maid will get it' style blasé habits. The only other character who behaves this way in Hannibal's spaces is Mason Verger (!)
And look at how Will wears the fancier Murder Husband clothes -- the sharp suits and long coats and knotted scarves -- arguably better than Mads 'bury me in an Adidas tracksuit' Mikkelsen.
(A lot of this comes down to the fact that it's Hugh Dancy playing Will, tbh. Obviously an Oxbridge boy is not going to have such a good handle on blue-collar mannerisms as an actor who grew up working class. Ditto Bryan Fuller; doesn't strike me as coming from not-money. There are things middle-class writers would not consider.)
And then we get into what is absent from Will's characterisation. Some of the spoiled-rich-boy vibe is in how he doesn't react.
There's no fixation on food or hoarding, as if he grew up with food scarcity -- he has to be reminded to eat. Buys proper meat and rice just to feed to dogs (seven dogs!) The Michelin-star food Hannibal makes him in miniscule portions is never recoiled from as too fancy, but never gets more than a perfunctory, underwhelmed 'this is delicious' either. He gives Hannibal a bottle of wine he bought himself, with zero signs of self-consciousness about it.
(It may be a common fanfic habit to make Will agonize over the wine quality because of the cost, but... that's quite literally the opposite of canon!)
No grimacing at extravagance. He can tell Hannibal "I don't find you that interesting" to his face, while eating the free food Hannibal brought him -- again, rude spoiled / rich entitled brat behaviour, not 'grew up grateful just to have food' behaviour.
But he has nothing to say to Hannibal's preposterous ballroom of an office, the way you'd expect a person with humble origins would. Ditto Hannibal's magnificent marble-floored house. Not that you'd necessarily expect Will to criticise it out loud, that might be overly rude. But you'd think there would be at least a silent reaction to these opulent spaces Hannibal occupies; a faltered step, a wide-eyed stare, a clamped-down-on 'woah.'
(You might say, 'well Abigail doesn't do that either', but again I'd argue that's a failure to correctly depict a penniless gal from the 'burbs, rather than a sign that this is how a middle-class person really would react upon seeing Hannibal Lecter's Cruella De Vil Mansion.)
No cheap old beat-up vehicle, kept even though Will has the money for something better now. No awe or nerves at getting into Hannibal's 100K+ car. His clothes are hard-wearing and mid-budget, but only because he lives in the country, has dirty hobbies and seven dogs, so there's no point his wardrobe being otherwise. There's never any sense of 'oh I couldn't possibly spend money on clothes!' As soon as he has a reason to own fancy clothes... he does.
No sense of awe or good fortune at owning his own house either -- even his own boat. No sign of worrying about the financial impact of running away to Europe. (He abandons a whole sail boat overseas!? No poor person could ever!)
No mention of worrying about health insurance during his multiple long hospital stays. He is imprisoned and cut off from his job, but no mention of worrying about losing his home. In prison he even says the words "sounds like I'm unemployed" with total sangfroid, no sign of panic or horror. Badass face-saving as he's facing the death penalty, yes, but also... so not poor!
And compare him to Peter Bernardone, that rare example of an actual poorer person in the show. They have certain experiences and hobbies in common, but other than that they are chalk and cheese. (Even at his most vulnerable moments, Will was more sharp and bitter and presumptuous and bratty than Peter.)
There are probably more examples I've missed, but you get the point!
.
So I was wondering about how to explain this apparent contradiction in Will; how to reconcile his more waspy habits with his alleged humble beginnings and I was thinking:
Possibility 1: Class Camouflage.
Will did grow up poor, but through college and FBI came into contact with richer people.
Then, by a sort of empathic osmosis, he adopted the habits and mannerisms of those rich entitled people in order to camouflage his humble origins and improve his chances of upward mobility (whether deliberately or unconsciously). He passes himself off as a richer person because there's more dignity and security in that.
(Maybe also because there was enough poverty-related suffering in his childhood that he'd like to live like someone who never had those things happen to him. It's a form of denial, like Hannibal being super-controlling and having open fires in every room because he had that terrible winter when he lost Mischa.)
In other words, Will's current 'rich entitled brat' personality is a byproduct of his current socio-economic environment, reacting with his empathy and trauma. Not a sign that he was lying about being poor.
(Ditto his absence of a Southern accent.)
.
And/or Possibility 2: Both.
Like Hannibal, Will experienced both affluence and poverty, growing up.
Maybe he and his dad were pretty well off in the beginning (think 'poorest kid at a fancy school for richer kids, who develops a chip on his shoulder about it.')
But then something happened. Maybe there was a bad investment, a bankruptcy, a recession (or maybe the money was coming from Will's mother's side and they cut his dad off?) And then his circumstances became genuinely poor. (From 'owning the boatyard' to 'living on what used to be their holiday boat.')
So Will would suddenly have to go to less-good public schools, where everyone else is in the same financial bracket as him... yet he's still an outcast because he's strange, a stranger, and also has 'spoiled little rich boy' energy. (Only now with no money to cushion the blow.)
It would also hurt extra hard on account of the fact that it would affect his future at the worst possible time. Instead of going straight to college, like his former contemporaries, Will might have to do police academy first, get a job fixing boat motors to make ends meet during school, etc. and be faced with having to save up for college as a mature student.
Later on, once he'd risen in the world again, he was able to re-adopt his early 'rich spoiled boy' mannerisms without seeming disingenuous.
.
*iirc it's never specified in the show what exact qualifications show-Will has, but in the book he has a graduate degree in Forensic Science from George Washington University, which would require a BSc too.
We know his graduate degree wasn't a doctorate since he is not referred to as a doctor. If he has an MSc in order to teach and be a profiler, that means he'd have to have a BSc first, which is like 4/5 years of college total he'd have to pay off. (As a criminal profiler at the height of his profession Will might be making as much as 100K a year or more.)
And before that, to make homicide detective (and then be fired) he'd have to have worked as a cop for 14-ish years (perhaps less if he was especially brilliant, which he is; but definitely more than a decade. Most people who went straight into Police Academy out of high school wouldn't expect to be making homicide detective before the age of 32.)
Interestingly, by the time we met her Miriam Lass only had 6 years' law enforcement under her belt, which would've meant she was either still a beat cop or had just barely made generic detective before leaving to go do her multiple degrees. If it's possible to get into FBI training with only 6 years LE behind you, Will spending all that time to get to homicide first suggests that earning degrees and joining the FBI were his second choice.
If it took Will the full 14 years to get to homicide detective, and if Will is the same age as Hugh Dancy, adding on 2 degrees after that totalling 5 years, that would mean Will was a very freshly-minted teacher when we first met him, aged 38!
(But that is only if Will was a homicide detective, which Will doesn't explicitly state he was. He said he 'worked homicide' and 'was a cop' but that doesn't necessarily mean he was officially a homicide detective. It's possible to be, eg. a deputy sheriff who has to work homicides in a place without homicide detectives. Or, knowing Will, he might've exceeded his remit to work homicides despite not being officially an HDet. yet. He must've been a nightmare for his CO's.)
