rewatching bones for the umpteenth time and damn season 1 was filled with episodes that just got me hooked right away like i may come back and do a deeper dive on this but season 1 did a wonderful job of establishing just how important bones is to booth and how much their partnership means to bones.

For example in season 1 alone there is: booth threatening a gang leader for her in ep 13

two episodes later when bones is a target by the mob he breaks out of the hospital after literally getting blown up to rescue her

THEN two episodes later he drops everything to go out to the desert to help when angela’s boyfriend was murdered specifically because bones requested it!!!

AND THATS NOT ALL, then another measly two episodes later when bones was drugged in louisiana he flew down for her because he was so worried and refused to even entertain the idea that she could have possibly been the murderer

like for all booths faults (and he has many) the one thing he has always been good at and his main redeeming quality for me is how dedicated he is to bones like that is his PARTNER, in every sense of the word and it is established from day 1 that there is nothing he won’t do for her and he sticks to that no matter what detriment it may be to himself

It’s honestly sad to see the amount of people saying Argentina is going to win because FIFA wants Messi to win. As if the man has not endured humiliation, teasings, heartbreak for the last 10 years. YES LIKE WHAT THE FUCK DID THEY DO TO HIS CHARACTER??!!

In ITSV, he developed so much as a character and adapted that mindset of a conscientious mentor to Miles, valuing his growth as a spider-person and trying his best despite his own flaws and traumas to help Miles.

In ATSV, he’s a self-absorbed prick who consistently makes the people around him uncomfortable and tries to make them feel ‘inferior’ just because he’s overcome his primary source of struggle (parenthood and being a role model to a child), WHICH HE DIRECTLY CONTRADICTS BY BETRAYING MILES??!!

Ugh, I miss ITSV peter b. They just took away all of his redeeming qualities for the sake of making Miguel seem like a big bad boss who corrupts everyone around him, and for the sake of breaking Miles down to an extreme level for BTSV.

Okay. I’m not shipping them together; I think these were probably just physiological reactions. But. During the kiss scene in the hospital, Oliver’s pupils are dilated and Lou moans, admittedly in surprise. It kind of sounds like they were both into kissing each other for that scene.

i have this headcanon that Annabeth is a distant relative of Astrid Hofferson. like think about it; the Chase family has connections with Nordic culture (i.e. Magnus being the son of Frey, Randolf being a Viking enthusiast, etc), so it’s perfectly believable that they might also have Viking ancestors somewhere down the line. and while rewatching HTTYD recently, i noticed so many similarities between Astrid and Annabeth, and not just their appearances. their personalities are super alike: they both play the role of strategist, they’re fierce in battle, they’re both the main character’s right hand—even their type is similar (Hiccup and Percy). idk it makes sense in my head and i love it sm

the fact that everything Apollo does in all of the books after the burning maze is for Jason. He turns so human, always remembers what he promised to him, and even dreams about Jason to help him get out of Nero’s prison in the tower of Nero.

the impact that Jason had on all of these people is so powerful. He was literally amazing.

i’d honestly be really interested to see why (if they do) people would ship kevin/thea bc honestly to me it seems so out of character. the whole trajectory of kevin dating her and his kid going to the nest honestly feels like a big reason why some of the fandom still consider him a coward and a wet blanket. like the beginning of tkm he’s working so hard to become his own person and distance himself from that place and then yet he’s supposed to go right back ?? it doesn’t make sense. even kevin/allison or kevin/renee would make more sense if we’re talking straight ships because they would both recognize the other’s fight to become a new and better person and fight the trauma that tries to drag them down. literally kevin could end up with almost anyone else and it would work. it also would’ve been interesting to see thea as an example of what happens when you leave the nest and follow the exact path tetsuji laid out but that kinda invalidates itself by just making her “kevin’s gf” but also not really explaining their relationship in a way that makes sense so her character just becomes less meaningful overall anyways hashtag let kevin have relationships not tied to his trauma and let him heal 2024

Months and years later I still see Wolfstar in this song.

I see Remus being so angry at Sirius for betraying them while still not being able to fall out of his love for him.

I see Sirius sentenced to spend years alone knowing that the only person he has left thinks the worst of him.

So long after I still feel the dread and emptiness of reading the war chapters in ATYD, knowing how much they loved each other despite everything and knowing that even that wasn’t enough to save them.
