I'm taking part in this years DnDecember!
Rather than following a prompt list I'll be creating art inspired by the people and characters that either introduced me to the game or has brought me lots of joy & entertainment over the years.
🦇🦇
Here's my 1st dndecember piece. its inspired by D&D dad Chris Perkins !
It was his work with the Aqc Inc crew that made me fall in love with this game.
Chris' #Strahd is my fav & the below art is inspired by his live costume!
🦇🦇
If you enjoy my work I can also be found on twitter (I'm very active there), Deviantart & Instagram under @maelonir

Ahhhh, I’m not dead!!! I’m just really bad at posting my art (or even FINISHING my art)
Here’s the D&Dcember drawings I was working on and never really got around to actually completing.
Please welcome my D&D characters I will not play because I have no games for them: Max the ??? Wizard Captivate the Tiefling Sorceress (her parents were dragonborn) Glynn the Orc Druid and Freckles the Geko Lizardfolk Bard! Each of them are a sense of chaos and I love them all dearly!

Spell
She read the words and the room went dark.
The light coalesced into a single blue flame.
The flame spread, widened to a star.
A shape began to form within.
The light coalesced into a single blue flame.
She thought she saw something but couldn’t be sure.
A shape began to form within.
It held her entranced.
She thought she saw something but couldn’t be sure.
A womanly form with wicked horns, a lashing, arrow-tipped tail.
It held her entranced.
The tiefling regarded her with narrowed red eyes.
A womanly form with wicked horns, a lashing, arrow-tipped tail.
She stepped forth from within the confines of the summoning circle.
The tiefling regarded her with narrowed red eyes.
Before she claimed the maiden’s joyously parted lips.

(Note I Do not own this Image I just found it on Google will perhaps make art of a dagger in the future but right now life is keeping me really busy.) Rare Dagger, Requires Attunement
Damage: 1d4+2 necrotic
Bestow Curse: The wielder can now use the spell bestow curse by uttering an incantation and touching or pointing the dagger at the intended victim. On a failed wisdom throw the creature will be cursed for the duration of the Bestow Curse spell. The caster must choose one ability score and the target will have  disadvantage on ability checks and saving throws made with that ability score.
While Cursed the target has disadvantage on attack rolls against you. While cursed the target must make a Wisdom saving throw at the start of each of its turns if the target fails they waste its action that turn doing nothing. While the target is cursed the wielders spells deal an extra 1d8 necrotic damage to the cursed target. A removal curse removes this effect.
However...if the creature succeeds its wisdom saving throw when the curse is issued the wielder suffers the effects listed above and is cursed until the spell ends or a removal curse is placed on the wielder.
Curse: Double Edge: Upon dealing damage to a creature with this dagger the creature takes full damage but you take half of the damage dealt each time this is used on a creature and you take necrotic damage.

#1 Snow
It would be, perhaps, more efficient if Nidia went up to her room to warm up. There she'd have the quiet, she'd have her extra blankets, and the room to spread out. The common room of the inn (or bar, it wasn't very clear from the sign) was loud and busy with the impending snowstorm driving any travelers into it's welcoming doors.
The wind had already started to howl.
But in the last few months, Nidia struggled with silence. It made it too easy for her mind to wander. Sleeping was hard enough - she would not allow the silence to steal her joy of reading, or planning which village she'd go to next.
The scream of the wind would not be enough to silence her memories. But the common room might.
She settled down at the end of a long table, wrapped in a custom-made blanket for reading. It allowed her arm freedom of movement without extra fabric in the way. Her feet still felt a chill, and she ordered a bowl of stew with warm mead.
She knew she looked out of place as she took out the codex she'd been translating, and her extra papers. She took them out of her bag slowly, taking the paperweights out first. She was still not used to doing these things with only one hand. The paperweights helped, though.
From where she sat, it was difficult to hear the wind over the crackling fire and the boisterous conversations of the minotaurs and centaurs. She wondered, at certain points, if a fight were to break out. But as she looked at the innkeeper for reassurance, she saw him glare at the groups if things ever got tense. Nothing happened.
Then, the door flew open, with a gust of wind that threatened even the careful placements of her paperweights. Nidia quickly threw her arm over her work, ink smearing and staining her sleeve. She looked up, and saw two figures standing in the doorway. They were hooded, covered in snow.
"Get the other door, Korrin," the larger figure said. She had horns poking out of her hood, and as Nidia looked her up and down, she heard the soft taps of hooves.
Nidia sat up properly, and straightened her work. She sighed at the stain on her sleeve, and went back to the passage she had been working on. The hoofsteps came closer. As she reached for her Elvish-Draconic dictionary, a large chunk of snow fell on the table at her elbow.
"Anybody sitting here?" the female minotaur asked.
Nidia shook her head.
"Great!" she said, sitting down and reaching for Nidia's mead. She downed it faster than should be possible, and shouted to the bartender. "Three more of whatever she had!" she said, gesturing to Nidia.
The tankard hit the table hard, and the minotaur smiled. "Thanks for the drink. I'll buy you your next one, too, but I figured you'd want it hot. I'm La, by the way."

Day three is done! This one was really fun to do! The characters here are Pelios (Tiefling Sorcerer) and Becca (Tiefling Cleric)! They’re snowed in, so Becca made hot chocolate!
