🎥Disney 100 Month, Week 1: Favorite Movie (part 3)🎥
❄️Much to my surprise, I ended up loving “Frozen II” as much as the first one! The plot is amazing, the songs are incredible, and I identified with Elsa even more than in the first film. ‘Show Yourself’ literally changed my outlook on life, and that is not an exaggeration.❄️
🍂I have most of the Disney Store dolls from both films, but the ones from ‘Some Things Never Change’ are a couple of my favorites.🍂

Though I totally get the hype for the ILY 4EVER Disney Bounding dolls, it’s kinda funny to me how little I care for the sole reason Anna and Merida are literally the only Princesses excluded.
Elsa’s included, so the “but Frozen isn’t technically part of the line-up“ argument holds no water here (not to mention everyone and their grandmother knows Anna and Elsa have been treated as honorary members for years). And that’s not even getting into Merida being excluded.
Also how some Princesses only got one accessory pack at best, while others got multiple, on top of getting a doll all to themselves... The obvious favoritism in the Disney Princess franchise has just always rubbed me the wrong way.
And in general there’s no “that one doll/pack“ that jumps out to me, so I know I’m gonna regret my decision no matter which one I buy, and there’s no way in hell I’m buying the entire series.
Wake me up once they make one for Anna.
(Before anyone gets all “you don’t have to buy what you don’t like“, that still doesn’t excuse the favoritism, go brag about your favorites always being included somewhere else.)

yay 💗 ok so my favourite doll that i own is daria from rainbow high and she’s sooooo pretty and i love her clothes, i also love fidgeting with her ringlets bc the gel actually feels nice on my fingers and i like to scrunch it lmao (it’s very comforting), my second favourite doll is probably my first doll that i got as an adult, she’s a hasbro elsa doll i found at a thrift store for $2 and she could definitely use a boil wash but i love her face (it’s one of the more movie accurate ones imo) and she still had her dress and shoes when i found her, i actually keep her in my purse as my on-the-go comfort doll which may sound weird to people who aren’t doll collectors with ocd that gives them anxiety via intrusive thoughts but i digress. since i mentioned an elsa doll i’ll mention favourite anna dolls too, i’m gonna have to go with either my disney on ice anna (she looks drunk off her ass and has double jointed elbows as well as the most movie accurate cape of any of my anna dolls lmao) or one of the disney store frozen 1 anna dolls i have :)

I agree - actually Hans was always meant to be redeemed in the sequel to Frozen,(and not used to hate on). There’s something else to consider a well as the points made here. Hans’ voice actor was actually told by Disney that he was going to be redeemed before they changed the script for Frozen 2. There is an interview on Youtube where you can watch it. Mickey and Minnie were seen and photographed dressed up as Hans and Elsa at Disneyland (I think it was Hong Kong but correct me if I got the place wrong).   Even the Frozen dolls that Shop Disney/ Disney Store released every year from 2013 to 2018 allllways included Hans!  they don’t do that with villain dolls!! Villains maybe get one release, but before frozen 2 Hans doll got a new release every single year along with Elsa, Anna and Kristoff. Sometimes more than one release. There were multiple sets by shop Disney with all 4 included, a mini doll set from Mattel, and figures from some other manufacturers. No way would they do that with a character they meant to be only a villain from 1 movie.  I know because I collect them and always bought a set every year. I miss buying new Hans dolls. It makes absolute sense to redeem Hans in Frozen 3, and I want him to become part of the Frohana family like the doll sets etc implied, I don’t want them to kill him off or keep hating on him. (I also believe Elsa should go home to her family in Frozen 3 - sending her off to live in the woods/glacier in F2 was a huge mistake. She only got 3 years with her sister and their new family after 13 years of isolation and wanting to be with Anna)
If Hans is "Done" after the 1st Frozen ... then why Frozen 2 is full of costant callbacks to him?
I'm sorry if many will disagree, but normaly, when an antagonist/villain is truely done in a sequel, you don't get tons of reminders of that character, most importantly if the story is focused on something completly different:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Generaly, you just make a couple callback and then move on to what the story has to tell you next, but here, seriously, there are thousands of even little parallelisms or visual elements that remind of Hans.
I can get that many hate the character (maybe a little too much) or are disappointed by his absence (me, for example), but I also think that, following the directors logic of just taking into account the two movies and nothing else ... it's quite significant.
I'm sincerly much more troubled by how many are influenced by the other secondary products like comics and books, thinking that those have any actual importance when, in truth, they don't add nothing to the actual movies and direction. I know I sound cynical here, but it's true that the long time and the great wait for F2 caused a lot of problems when the actual movie came out ... after all, nothing of what came out before F2 would've predicted Anna and Elsa living in different places and fullfiling completly new roles in their lives ...

Doll Inventory Part 19: My Box of Frozen Dolls
These are My Later Disney store Frozen 1 Annas, My Frozen 2 Disney Store Annas, and all my Mattel Annas
- 1st Row Left & Right sides are my 2018 Disney Store Frozen 1 Anna Dolls with the newer Face, which I’m not the biggest Fan of. Long story short I inadvertently ended up with 2, so when I got the 2nd one (left), I decided to undo the hair on my first one (right), and later cut her hair shorter, which I feel looks a lot better. On it’s own it’s a cute face sculpt, but as Anna from Frozen it looks awful.
- 2nd row Left side is my Disney Store Frozen 2 Singing Anna doll. Rather than a button on her torso, you twist her wrist on her left arm to make her sing Part of “The next Right thing”, so one of her arms is fully articulated and the other isn’t. She also has Painted On leggings, though the Disney Store F2 Elsa Dolls have full cloth goods Leggings which is annoying. Also she has a ton of Styling Gel in her hair so she has Hella Curls
- 2nd row Right Side is a JCPenney Disney Collection Frozen 2 Anna doll that came in a 2 pack with Elsa. Like the other JCP Dolls she’s not as articulated, doesn’t even have the painted on leggings. She doesn’t Have that much Styling Gel in her hair so it looks a lot nicer. I prefer her to the singing one due to not being a sining doll and her nicer hair. There is another Disney Store Anna in her Travel outfit that come in the Big Deluxe Box set with Elsa, the Nokk, Kristoff, and Mattias. That Version has the Full Articulation, Painted on Leggings, and a Slightly different Face, I wanna try to get that version Eventually.
- 3rd Row Left Side is a Disney store F2 Prologue Anna that came in a 2 pack with Elsa. Her Hair Bun.. isn’t a bun like it is in the movie it’s this weird lip shaped thing that tucks into itself it’s weird. Also she has the ugliest Shoes i’ve ever seen on a doll, they’re disgusting. That Aside I do really like her
- 3rd row Right side is a 2013 Mattel Anna, one of the first Anna Dolls to come out I think. From what I understand, when they were making these dolls they were using older designs for the characters, and by the time the dolls were already done the designs changed and it was too late to change them. I’m not a fan of the molded on top at all, and i think the design is weird, at least in doll form. I’m missing her skirt, but overall I like her even if she doesn’t look like anna, especially with that face.
- 4th row Left side is one of the later Frozen 1 Anna Dolls with the updated Face. I do like her Face, it’s super, but it doesn’t look like anna that much.
- 4th row Right side is a Mattel Troll Wedding Anna that comes in set with kristoff, Olaf, and some of the Trolls.
- 6th row center is a Mattel Frozen Fever Anna with a Hideous Face, and a really bad default hairstyle covered in styling gel so it’s hard as rocks.

Just got the Disney Store Anna Classic Doll Accessory Pack (Frozen 2 Travel outfit)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I bought it off Amazon the other day and I got it today! It was $10 w/ Free Shipping, and for the most part It's Great. I'm honestly surprised it took them so long to do something like this, would've loved to see this back in the day with the Frozen 1 Travel outfit.
The first thing I noticed was that despite being a Frozen 2 "Accessory"/Outfit Pack, all of the packaging is Frozen 1 themed, the images, art, and overall aesthetic is Frozen 1. I Can't tell if it was a simple reuse of the 2020 Disney Store Classic Anna Doll Packaging style or Disney trying to get away from Frozen 2 because it wasn't as successful/well loved but whatever.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Anna modeling this outfit is my 2015 Disney Store Anna (my very first Anna) Who's currently on a 2018 DS Anna body. I restyled her hair to be like F2 Anna's and I think it came out great and I might keep her this way.
Now As for the outfit itself, the best way to describe it is the Budget version of the Disney Store F2 Anna Travel outfit. I went into this thinking it was the same outfit as the other DS F2 Travel Annas, but it's not quite.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some of the extra detailing and such from the original versions of this outfit, like the yellow part (undershirt?)/Collar area of her shirt being printed on instead of a separate stitched in piece.
The Cut on the bottom of her outfit... is not there, there is no cut. They turned this into a straight up dress. Though it does work in favor of Anna dolls who don't have the painted on leggings like this one.
3rd and most disappointing (to me at least), the red underside of her cloak is gone. What was a folded section on previous versions of this outfit instead is a printed on detail. It looks ok but it just screams Cheap.
Tumblr media
Lastly here's my Restyled/Rebodied 2015 Anna in this outfit next to my 3 other Disney Store Frozen 2 Travel outfit Annas.
From L to R: Restyled/Rebodied 2015 Anna, Disney Store Singing Frozen 2 Anna, JC Penney Disney Collection 2 Pack Anna, and the Disney Store Frozen 2 Adventure Set Anna.
Seeing them all next to each other really shows how much more the older 2015 (and by extension 2013) Anna head sculpt looks more like Anna's models from the films than the new/Current Frozen 2 Anna head sculpt.
Overall i'm quite happy with this "Accessory Pack", tho IDK why they called it that when it's just a fashion pack and no actual accessories are included. I'm thinking about maybe getting the Elsa one since I have a thrifted elsa in a barbie dress that could use it, but I'm not sure yet.

Doll Reviews! Long Post Ahead.
Alrighty. So, I unboxed all three of my new Frozen 2 dolls today. First thing I want to say: they are beautiful in quality but visually, too, and very well detailed! The ones I purchased were the Anna singing doll and the Anna and Elsa pair in their fancier dresses. These were all the Disney Store versions.
Tumblr media
I’ll talk about Elsa first since there’s only one of her. And she more-or-less was along for the ride since she was packed with Anna. Not sure if I would have spent the extra money on her right away if she was by herself since I’m technically broke.... (Sorry, Your Majesty. No hard feelings!! I’m still happy to have you!)
Tumblr media
She appears very queenly and I am all for it!! I love her dress, and not just because it’s purple and my favorite color.  My god, she’s in something that isn’t ice-blue. And no sheer capes in sight!! Hooray!! I think this color is really good for her, and I really wish she would wear other colors and unique outfits more often. The green Frozen Fever dress only half counts....  Her face mold looks to be a pretty good Elsa. Overall it doesn’t seem that much different from my OFA Elsa one. (it’s the only other Elsa I have to compare it to, but I left it downstairs, so no side-by-side comparisons today. I’m lazy.)
Tumblr media
There’s lots of detailing. Even on the parts no one really sees!
Tumblr media
Her long skirt is actually two layers!! And the darker, outer skirt trains really well behind her. The detailing on the outer skirt also has glitter on it. That narrow belt feels more rubber-plasticy. I still have it tagged into her dress. It’s removable and it can fasten itself, but I don’t know how well it holds, so... it can remain forever tethered, lol. No one will look at their backs anyway.
Her hair was also styled to sit over her shoulder. It was like that in the box. My OFA doll had the braid behind her back and I had to forcibly bend it over her shoulder myself. It didn’t quite hold too well and kept sliding off. I’m glad I didn’t have to do that with this one.
Tumblr media
The only major downside for her is the feet. They are flat, so her “heeled” shoes don’t sit right and I have to keep the rubber bands on so I don’t lose her shoes. But her shoes are all bent! :( Her feet won’t stay in them. Luckily she’ll be on a stand, and no one will notice them anyway. But still. Elsa wears high heels all the time. I wish these dolls would represent that. Also, a peek at Anna’s flat feet, too.
Ok, Anna time!
Tumblr media
I LOVE her! She is absolutely stunning! I’m dubbing her “Engagement Anna”, whether she wears this in the film for that purpose or not. She’s fully poseable, and so is Elsa. The jacket is connected to the dress, but I’m pretty sure the sash isn’t. It’s tagged to her dress still towards the bottom, but I can detach and untie it if I want to. Her dress has a lot of details to it, too, and it’s orange underneath! There’s no petticoat, but she came with paper stuffed inside the dress to keep some shape. I left it in there.
Tumblr media
I think my favorite thing about this new doll is her face. Here’s a comparison from her previous mold. She looks 10000x better. Her hair is essentially the same style, aside from her bangs. And it’s still rooted like halfway up her head, so looking at her from behind, her head looks silly. Ah well. The wheat accessory looks good, too. And her jacket has those little purple stone/gem details for buttons instead of just printed-purple circles. It gives it a very nice touch. Also, they gave her earrings!! But no necklace.
I also noticed Anna is slightly shorter than Coronation Anna. I’m guessing it’s because her head is smaller? When playing around with their poses, I didn’t notice it until I stood her next to Hans. Without the crown to take up space, you can really tell the height difference between Hans and Anna. I kinda like it.
Tumblr media
Her shoes even have painted details on them! At least these have more structure to them. They aren’t bent, so her feet actually stay in them. I don’t know if all of the new classic dolls are coming out with flat feet, but this could have been a great opportunity to give Anna some decorative high heel shoes to go with traditional barbie tippy-toe feet. I mean, come on! The one time Anna actually wears high heeled shoes, and they give her flats. Booo!
Word of caution. Anna’s dress is COVERED in glitter. And now so am I. -sigh-
Ok, now for Singing Anna!
Tumblr media
She’s got the same mold as Engagement Anna. Her left arm isn’t that poseable. It can move up and down a bit but that’s where the singing feature is, so no elbow bending. She sings the same sneak peak of “The Next Right Thing” that was released online.
Tumblr media
I love her hair. It was pushed to the right side of her head in the box, but I think I manged to get it straight behind her. The curls are really nice, too. Her center braid keeps them from getting too-too crazy. As for the clothes themselves, they are rather plain. Her brown sash isn’t really a sash. It’s just attached to the front.  But, I kept the cloak tagged to her black dress so it can’t open up and show it. Her cloak is also missing the closure chain at the neck. But that’s ok. I don’t plan on taking it off anyway.
Tumblr media
Her boots have the painted details on them, and there’s the gold on her dress too.Her cloak just covers most of it up.
Overall, I am in love with these dolls. Especially Anna. Both of them. They look fantastic in their new dresses.
Tumblr media
Hans agrees. ^-^

Have you ever wished you wanted to buy something because it had special meaning, but couldn’t afford it?
This is what these limited edition Frozen 2 dolls are to me. You see, my biological mom looked a LOT like Queen Iduna, and like Anna and Elsa (and for that matter, a LOT of other Disney protagonists), my mother died when I was seven.
March 14th, 2020 is the 16th anniversary of her death, which is also when these dolls go on sale at ShopDisney.com and (according to the article) select (READ: some, not all) physical Disney Store locations. This means that there isn’t any guarentee that it will be available at the closest Disney Store near me, which is at the Westfarms Mall in Farmington, Connecticut. Also, the dolls will be available at 10 AM EST (which, oddly enough, is also the same time the local Disney Stores on the East Coast open). Since it will be Saturday morning (and not the middle of the night), these dolls will sell out IN MINUTES, and between either trying to stick the dolls in my cart (and my webpage not crashing like trying to buy a newly-released line off the ColourPop website) or saving my money (I’m currently unemployed/looking for work, and if I bought both, I’d have less than $100 in my checking account), I sadly have to stick with the latter.
In case you are wondering, this is what she looks like

Do you like dolls that have eyelashes?
If done right, yes. Disney Store dolls with eyelashes usually look good. But Hasbro... seriously needs some practice. Those deluxe Anna and Elsa dolls they made with eyelashes are like nightmare fuel..
