Doll Inventory Part 19: My Box of Frozen Dolls

These are My Later Disney store Frozen 1 Annas, My Frozen 2 Disney Store Annas, and all my Mattel Annas

- 1st Row Left & Right sides are my 2018 Disney Store Frozen 1 Anna Dolls with the newer Face, which I’m not the biggest Fan of. Long story short I inadvertently ended up with 2, so when I got the 2nd one (left), I decided to undo the hair on my first one (right), and later cut her hair shorter, which I feel looks a lot better. On it’s own it’s a cute face sculpt, but as Anna from Frozen it looks awful.

- 2nd row Left side is my Disney Store Frozen 2 Singing Anna doll. Rather than a button on her torso, you twist her wrist on her left arm to make her sing Part of “The next Right thing”, so one of her arms is fully articulated and the other isn’t. She also has Painted On leggings, though the Disney Store F2 Elsa Dolls have full cloth goods Leggings which is annoying. Also she has a ton of Styling Gel in her hair so she has Hella Curls

- 2nd row Right Side is a JCPenney Disney Collection Frozen 2 Anna doll that came in a 2 pack with Elsa. Like the other JCP Dolls she’s not as articulated, doesn’t even have the painted on leggings. She doesn’t Have that much Styling Gel in her hair so it looks a lot nicer. I prefer her to the singing one due to not being a sining doll and her nicer hair. There is another Disney Store Anna in her Travel outfit that come in the Big Deluxe Box set with Elsa, the Nokk, Kristoff, and Mattias. That Version has the Full Articulation, Painted on Leggings, and a Slightly different Face, I wanna try to get that version Eventually.

- 3rd Row Left Side is a Disney store F2 Prologue Anna that came in a 2 pack with Elsa. Her Hair Bun.. isn’t a bun like it is in the movie it’s this weird lip shaped thing that tucks into itself it’s weird. Also she has the ugliest Shoes i’ve ever seen on a doll, they’re disgusting. That Aside I do really like her

- 3rd row Right side is a 2013 Mattel Anna, one of the first Anna Dolls to come out I think. From what I understand, when they were making these dolls they were using older designs for the characters, and by the time the dolls were already done the designs changed and it was too late to change them. I’m not a fan of the molded on top at all, and i think the design is weird, at least in doll form. I’m missing her skirt, but overall I like her even if she doesn’t look like anna, especially with that face.

- 4th row Left side is one of the later Frozen 1 Anna Dolls with the updated Face. I do like her Face, it’s super, but it doesn’t look like anna that much.

- 4th row Right side is a Mattel Troll Wedding Anna that comes in set with kristoff, Olaf, and some of the Trolls.

- 6th row center is a Mattel Frozen Fever Anna with a Hideous Face, and a really bad default hairstyle covered in styling gel so it’s hard as rocks.

Over the weekend I had a brief conversation with @annasource​ about anna dolls, and after hearing them mentioning taking a pic of their collection of Anna Dolls, Decided to take another one of mine.  So Here it is, all 16 of My Princess Anna Dolls ( and my one Disney Store Elsa Doll in the back behind all the annas)

The Top Row is all my Disney Store Dolls (From Left to Right): Two 2013 dolls, a Coronation day Anna from one of the Boxsets, My 2015 Anna (who’s also my first Anna doll), My Sorta Custom Coronation Day Anna Made from a Frozen Fever Anna and the Disney Parks Dress set, Two 2018/2019 Annas (Because I inadvertently ended up with two, and whom I’m not that fond of, especially their weird face and awkward flat feet), and Lastly one of the Less articulated Disney Store Anna dolls, with her hair down and wearing some 90s barbie clothes and the heels from the Disney Parks Dress set, because she initially Came in those Garish Bootleg Anna clothes to her right.

The Bottom Row is all my Mattel and Hasbro Princess Anna Dolls (Left to right): A 2013 Mattel Anna missing her skirt, boots, and Cape, a 2014/2015 Anna with her hair dow, a Troll wedding Anna from a Box Set, a Coronation Day Anna also From a Box Set, a Mattel Frozen Fever Anna, a Hasbro Coronation Change Anna, a hasbro Frozen Fever Anna, and Lastly one of the current Hasbro Frozen 1 Anna Dolls with the smaller proportions and the Side Glance that I despise (i’ve gotten used to it on the Disney Store Dolls but I just think it looks really bad on the current hasbro Dolls)

I still don’t have the hasbro ralph breaks the internet Anna, but it’s showing up more in stores so I might try to grab it soon, and i’m DEFINITELY looking forward to the Hasbro Frozen 2 Anna, She looks Great. Also I’m really hoping if/when the Disney Store Frozen 2 Dolls Happen, they don’t use that Awful face the current DS Anna Dolls have.

I finally got that 16 inch singing Anna Doll

On Monday I got an offer for her on ebay for about $10 + $10 shipping, and I ended up snagging her, and she ended up coming a day early. So Far I love her (for the most part)

Her hair is a little messy though still in the factory hair style, and she’s complete outfit wise and her singing feature still works. Gonna try to get a video of that tomorrow

My only real issue with her (always kinda have been even before I bought her), outside of the extreme side glance, is her weird articulation. For a doll her size she has less articulation than the standard disney store doll. Her elbow joints only bend  towards the side for whatever reason. 

But yeah at 16 inches This Anna is HUGE. So Here’s a Size Comparison with a bunch of other dolls and figures I have. From Right to Left on the Top row through Left to Right on the bottom row: 16 inch Disney Store Singing Anna, Mattel Superman Returns Hyperposable Superman, DC Direct Nightwing, Mattel The Dark Knight Joker, Hasbro 2008 Movie Iron man, a Tall Body Barbie Fashionistas doll, 1996 Spring Petals Barbie, My 2013 Disney Store Anna doll, Hasbro Titan Series Kylo Ren, Rio De Janeiro Skipper (IDK what happened to her arm it was like that when I got her from goodwill), Play Arts Kai Raiden, a Mattel Coronation Day Anna (I don’t have her original skirt or shoes yet), Star Wars Forces of Destiny Rey (TLJ Version), another Mattel Superman Returns Figure, Transformers Robots in Disguise Optimus Prime (Base from), and the Marvel Legends Black Panther Wave Iron Man figure

Overall I do like this doll a lot, but I do want to try and rebody her. I’ve got a few suggestions already, but Any more suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Recent Frozen Mech Pick Ups I forgot to talk about until now:

Over the Past Few weeks I got some more Frozen stuff, The First of Which being the Target Exclusive Version of the Frozen 2 Soundtrack! I got it on Black Friday and Just haven’t had the chance to listen to it.

This Past Friday I went doll thrifting and hit up a couple of thrift stores that were farther out from me, and among all the barbies I got I also came back with a DIsney Store Anna doll and a (surprisingly articulated) Mattel Coronation Day Anna (with a Molded Top). 

The Disney Store Anna came nude so she’s in some fashionistas clothes for now (I need to get some more disney store anna outfits, on top of already desperately running out of doll clothes). I’m thinking about flattening her hair out a little and keeping it down. 

The Mattel Coronation Day Anna IDK what i’m going to do with her hair atm but I do wanna try to find her skirt on eBay, she just looks weird without it.

Really Happy I found these Two. Also while I was out doll thrifting I saw a Hasbro Anna and another mattel anna but I passed on those as I don’t really want/need another hasbro Anna atm, and i’m good on Mattel Anna’s after this one.

Despite how yesterdays thrifting went and the slight rant I went on last night, I decided to hit up one of the local thrift stores, and I ended up coming out with 4 dolls, which honestly surprised me that i’d be finding anything there as most times I don’t. Also saw a 5th doll I kinda was interested in but passed. The Dolls I did get are, from left to right: A Cali girl Barbie in a 90s outfit that's not hers (I think I saw this outfit recently on an ebay listing or a google search or something I looks familiar), what I'm 90% sure is a high school musical doll, a 90s Mattel Belle doll who’s dress I already have so Now I can have her be somewhat complete, and a Disney store frozen fever princess Anna, my 2nd FF anna (my first I used for my custom coronation day anna)
