Doll Inventory Part 19: My Box of Frozen Dolls
These are My Later Disney store Frozen 1 Annas, My Frozen 2 Disney Store Annas, and all my Mattel Annas
- 1st Row Left & Right sides are my 2018 Disney Store Frozen 1 Anna Dolls with the newer Face, which I’m not the biggest Fan of. Long story short I inadvertently ended up with 2, so when I got the 2nd one (left), I decided to undo the hair on my first one (right), and later cut her hair shorter, which I feel looks a lot better. On it’s own it’s a cute face sculpt, but as Anna from Frozen it looks awful.
- 2nd row Left side is my Disney Store Frozen 2 Singing Anna doll. Rather than a button on her torso, you twist her wrist on her left arm to make her sing Part of “The next Right thing”, so one of her arms is fully articulated and the other isn’t. She also has Painted On leggings, though the Disney Store F2 Elsa Dolls have full cloth goods Leggings which is annoying. Also she has a ton of Styling Gel in her hair so she has Hella Curls
- 2nd row Right Side is a JCPenney Disney Collection Frozen 2 Anna doll that came in a 2 pack with Elsa. Like the other JCP Dolls she’s not as articulated, doesn’t even have the painted on leggings. She doesn’t Have that much Styling Gel in her hair so it looks a lot nicer. I prefer her to the singing one due to not being a sining doll and her nicer hair. There is another Disney Store Anna in her Travel outfit that come in the Big Deluxe Box set with Elsa, the Nokk, Kristoff, and Mattias. That Version has the Full Articulation, Painted on Leggings, and a Slightly different Face, I wanna try to get that version Eventually.
- 3rd Row Left Side is a Disney store F2 Prologue Anna that came in a 2 pack with Elsa. Her Hair Bun.. isn’t a bun like it is in the movie it’s this weird lip shaped thing that tucks into itself it’s weird. Also she has the ugliest Shoes i’ve ever seen on a doll, they’re disgusting. That Aside I do really like her
- 3rd row Right side is a 2013 Mattel Anna, one of the first Anna Dolls to come out I think. From what I understand, when they were making these dolls they were using older designs for the characters, and by the time the dolls were already done the designs changed and it was too late to change them. I’m not a fan of the molded on top at all, and i think the design is weird, at least in doll form. I’m missing her skirt, but overall I like her even if she doesn’t look like anna, especially with that face.
- 4th row Left side is one of the later Frozen 1 Anna Dolls with the updated Face. I do like her Face, it’s super, but it doesn’t look like anna that much.
- 4th row Right side is a Mattel Troll Wedding Anna that comes in set with kristoff, Olaf, and some of the Trolls.
- 6th row center is a Mattel Frozen Fever Anna with a Hideous Face, and a really bad default hairstyle covered in styling gel so it’s hard as rocks.

Happened to be at the Mall Earlier and Decided to Check out JCPenney to see if they had that Frozen 2 Anna and Elsa 2 Pack, and they had plenty of them
Tumblr media
Actually seeing this Set in person it looks Fantastic, and identical to the disney store dolls, minus the singing and probably not as articulated like most DS dolls as were previous JCPenney Disney dolls.
Tumblr media
Also Saw these just as I was leaving. New JCPenney Frozen 1 dolls with the old new faces. Look a little different from the current Disney store Frozen 1 dolls as Anna doesn’t have the 2 silver hearts on the cape and her top is glittery while the skirt isn’t, while on the DS doll it’s reversed. IDK about elsa tho, but Interesting none the less.

Whee!!!! So excited for how these came out!!!
Since Frozen and Tangled are set in the same timeline (courtesy of the cameo appearance of Eugene & Rapunzel to Elsa’s Coronation), I really wanted to make 2D animation Frozen dolls in the style of ‘Tangled Before Ever After/The Series’ so they are all part of the same world and ‘look’. :)
I wanted to make Hans & Kristoff as well as Elsa and Anna, but on Disney Store, Eugene ONLY comes in a big huge $100 box set. 0_o I didn’t want to buy 3 of these sets, so I was in a quandary how to accomplish this, until a friend told me that Eugene & Rapunzel BEA (Before Ever After) dolls are in a ‘couple’ set at JCPenney! *-*
I quickly ordered 2 sets from them and as soon as they arrived, began working on the Frozen foursome!
I rooted Elsa and Anna, repainted their faces and styled their hair. I sculpted Hans and Kristoff’s noses and hair, repainted them as well and then dressed them in Disney Store Hans & Kristoff Classic outfits from 2013. For Elsa and Anna’, I kind of wanted to match the ‘winter’ motif of the Tangled dolls, so I said ‘Hey! Why not use the Hasbro ‘Northern Lights’ dolls’ clothing so it seems like a winter scene/aura; plus I didn’t have these NL outfits on any of my other dolls, so it seemed a perfect fit! Bonus: they included iridescent Olaf and 2 Snowgies!! :) So cute! (Only Hans isn’t too ‘wintry’ but his Arendelle cloak is super hard to make and right now, we’re working on another big Hans project, so his Southern Isles outfit has to do for now for this quickie job. ^^;;
It took one day for the gals and one day for the boys, so in all, a 2 day job to create the Frozen charas as 2D ‘BEA’ style dolls!
I love them with this look-----soo cute!!!!! It was a fun project and I love the results! Hope you do, too! What do you think of them?

Finally got that JCPenney Anna and Elsa 2 Pack
So earlier I Headed down to the local Mall and finally hit up JCPenney for this 2 Pack i’ve been so very curious about, and I gotta say, I really like it.
Tumblr media
The Packaging is nice as always (Really liking the unified packaging style for all the frozen 2 stuff so far)
Tumblr media
I find it weird how empty the back of the Box is. Besides the Legal Text there’s nothing, just the Nice Art of the Landscape. No renders of the characters, no Pics of the Dolls, nothing. It’s just odd but whatever.
Tumblr media
Here’s Elsa and Anna out of the box, and they’re both Very nice, with both dolls in the Disney store outfits. Love the new Faces, anna looks so great! (elsa too!) Both Dolls are Less Articulated than Disney Store Dolls as have been previous JCPenney Dolls.
Tumblr media
And here’s them both from the back. Elsa’s Long cape/Coat tails/Cloak thing is attached to the outfit and non removable
Tumblr media
The Inside White Part/under dress of the outfit is also non removable. Kinda Surpised to be honest.
Tumblr media
Her Belt However is Removable...for some reason. Kinda neat I guess?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unlike the Disney Store Singing Anna Doll (IDK about the singing Elsa doll), This Elsa actually real Pants/Leggings, and the Look great!
Tumblr media
underneath the leggings is just the standard vinyl legs and blue undergarments
Tumblr media
Elsa’s Boots Look great! Very nicely detailed
Tumblr media
Lastly on Elsa, The end of her braid is ROCK HARD due to being absolutely covered in styling Glue.
Tumblr media
On to Anna, and unlike Elsa, the Disney Store Singing Anna or even the Hasbro Anna Dolls, This JCPenney Anna has nothing! No Leggings whatsoever, just skin tone vinyl legs and brownish orange undergarments.
Tumblr media
Here’s the JCPenney 2 Pack Anna’s Legs (left) compared to the Disney Store Singing Anna’s Legs (Right), with the color of the JCPenney Anna’s undergarments a different shade of brownish orange from the painted on leggings of the Disney Store Doll.
Tumblr media
Here’s another pic of Both the JCPenney 2 Pack Anna and the Disney Store Singing Anna, and if I’m gonna be Honest, I like the JCPenney Doll more than the Disney Store one, I think she looks a little better IMO.
Tumblr media
Here’s a closeup on their faces. The Skintones looks slightly different, at least in this pic in this lighting. Her Makeup, particularly her Blush and Freckles, is a lot more pronounced on the JCPenney doll than the Disney Store Doll. Also There’s a lot less styling Glue in the JCPenney Anna’s Hair. and overall, especially with the bangs, Looks a lot better
Tumblr media
Here’s them both from the back, it was awkward to get the Disney store Anna to stand right on that particular stand so she looks a little shorter here. Like I said earlier, the Hair on the JCPenney Anna has a lot less styling glue in it, like A LOT less. Her curls are less pronounced because of it, and her hair is a lot softer and feels better compared to the Disney Store doll, who’s curls are all over the place.
Tumblr media
Overall this is an awesome Set! If you’re not a fan of the singing features on the Currently Available Disney Store dolls this set is a great alternative, even if they’re a little less articulated and Anna’s lack of leggings. Personally I like this Anna more than the Disney Store singing Anna, her more pronounced makeup and freckles and her much softer hair Just Gives her a leg up over the disney store singing doll IMO.

Doll Inventory Part 18: My box of Frozen Dolls.
These are all my frozen dolls, and I have quite a lot because I REALLY like Frozen 1 and 2, and the shorts/specials too. I also in particular REALLY REALLY LOVE Anna. She’s my Favorite Disney Princess and one of my favorite Disney Characters ever. I’m borderline obsessed with her  lol. Anyways These are All My Older Disney Store/Disney Collection princess Anna Dolls with the original Face Sculpt.
- 1st row Left side is My 2015 Disney Store Princess Anna Doll. She was My First Anna Doll, I got her brand new back in 2016, and she’s my Favorite, most cherished Doll ever. I love her so much. I got her During a point when I was very Obsessed/In Love her her lol. While Her Hair is a Stiff dry mess, and she’s missing a lot of Hair Plugs, I still love her all the same. I did Trim her Bangs a few years ago, be more accurate to her look in the film, and I think it looks pretty good for the most part.. I also touched up her Blush Yesterday with some color pencil, and I think it came out pretty good. Usually I don’t have her in her Cap and her cape but for this Inventory post I had her wearing it.
- 1st row Right side is my 2013 Disney Store Princess Anna Doll, who I got a few years ago. She was one of the First Disney Store Princess Anna dolls released, and has a more detailed outfit than later Annas. Her Cape is Layered, had the Heart clips around the collar, the Purple trim/underside of the boots, and she has some furry gloves. Also Something I’ve noticed about the 2013 and some 2014 DS Anna Dolls is that they have a bigger head than the later 2014 to 2015 and onward Anna Dolls. Anna I also trimmed the Bangs on to be film accurate as of about a year ago. While The Later Annas use the more barbie style vinyl doll legs, the 2013, 2014, and some 2015 Anna Dolls use the awful Jointed Disney Store Soft Plastic legs that make it impossible for them to sit. But yeahI do really like her a lot.
- 2nd row Left side is My other 2013 Disney store Anna Doll, with her har uncut (and messy). She originally came nude when I got her but I later got her a 2013 Anna outfit. Also she has some weird Black stains on her nose and cheek, which I still need to clean off.
- 2nd row Right side is a JCPenney Disney Collection Princess Anna doll. I think she’s from 2013 or 2014 as she has a bigger head. Also the JCPenney Disney Collection Dolls are not as Articulated as the regular Disney Store dolls, and have the barbie like vinyl legs (one of which is broken on the inside on mine). When I got her she came in garish Bootleg clothes. In the Pic here she’s Wearing her bootleg Skirt but the Top and Shoes of the 2018 Disney Store Anna Doll. Also Trimmed her bangs to be film accurate.
- 3rd row Left side is a Disney Store Coronation Day Anna, I think she’s from one of the Box sets. The top of her Dress has no Details, Her hair style isn’t accurate to the film, as her bun is a little different, missing the braid in her hair, and the barrette. She also doesn’t have the Necklace, rather a black chocker for some reason. Also she got a Blue Stain on her nose at some point that I need to wipe off. I still really like her regardless.
- 3rd row Right Side is My Custom Coronation Day Disney Store Anna Doll. She’s Made from a Disney Store Frozen Fever Anna (Due to her Painted on Leggings), and a Disney Parks Exclusive Anna Doll Costume set that’s very hard to find. It’s the only disney store sized Coronation dress that accurate to the movie. However the set comes with high heels so I gave her the flats from the other DS Coronation Anna, and she also wearing the “necklace” that comes in the set, which doesn’t look like the necklace from the movie at all. Regardless I love how she turned out and is my other favorite Anna Doll
- 4th row Left Side is a Disney Store Epilogue Ice skating Anna that came in a 2 pack with Elsa. It’s one of the ony DS Anna Dolls of her from her epilogue outfit from frozen 1. I’m thinking about trying to find another pair of her boots online to snip off the ice skates
- 4th row Right side is another Disney Store Frozen Fever Anna. I found her at a thrift store, and I decided to keep her hair down. Still need to style it.
- 5th row Left side is another Thrifted Disney Store Anna. Her hair was longer, and a but on the top was cut when I got her, but I decided to cut it short recently, and I think it looks great, Just need to style it.
- 5th row Right side is a 16 inch Disney Store Anna.  She has an intense Side Glance, some awkward arm articulation, and her chest lights up when she sings “For the First Time in Forever”. I’m wanna try to rebody her at some point, I just need to find a body her size that matches her skin tone.

It Would be nice If the Disney Store re released the Frozen 2 Deluxe Set dolls With the better faces and full articulation individually, Would love to get That Anna Stand alone. Also while there is a box set of just elsa with her ponytail and The Nokk, I think it’s only a JCPenney exclusive, which is weird. Also weird how you can’t buy the Disney Store Nokk Stand alone like you can with the hasbro one

random frozen ramblings (mostly)
So I haven’t been as active here as i’ve been knee deep in the doll box as it were, been super in a doll hobby mood and been on my doll sideblog a lot more recently. But anyways, I was at Target Yesterday, and they still have the big frozen 2 dispaly at the doll section. While I walked by it I saw they finally had Frozen on 4K. I’m currently trying to save some $$ so I didn’t get it, but I will try to get it soon maybe. But I think Frozen II on 4K might take more precedence when it releases Next week, BIG EXCITED FOR THAT! I ended up not getting it on digital so i’m all in on that 4K Blu Ray Release. Speaking of F2 I still have to get the disney store epilogue Frozen II Anna and Elsa doll set. I know hasbro is coming out with their version of epilogue Anna and Elsa but I think they’re both singing dolls, I know elsa is for sure anyways. Also I do wanna get  Disney store ponytail elsa and Nokk, though you can only get them from either the Deluxe Set or a JCPenney Set that’s just Elsa and Nokk. I’m leaning towards (eventually) Getting the deluxe set since the Anna there looks great and is fully articulated. I still need to get a New body for my old 2015 Disney store Anna, I haven’t found one that quite matches her awkwardly Pale skin tone. Lastly I mentioned a few weeks ago I was gonna start making Annacest content, but that still hasn’t happened yet, because... it just hasn’t. I haven’t had time to do it yet. Basically what I wanted to do is Pair up 2 of my Disney Store Anna dolls and just take like cute romantic pictures with a little caption or story attached to it or something along those lines. I’m still deciding on which 2 Annas to use and how exactly i’d do all of this as I have no doll sized furniture or accessories. But I’ll figure something out. But yeah I think that’s just about everything, Big excited to watch F2 again when it releases next week in Beautiful 4K.

Frozen 2 Sister Styles Anna Review:
So when I was at Target Earlier getting a box to store all my frozen dolls in, I trying to decide weather to either get the Frozen 2 Sister Styles Anna doll with the long hair and the braiding device while I was there at target, or go to JCPenney tomorrow or Monday and get the Anna and Elsa set instead. I decided to get the Sister Style Anna due to Really liking her long hair and the possibility of using the braiding device on other dolls.
Tumblr media
First off I wanna say the big fake cardboard Braid on the box is a little Misleading, as you can’t really make a braid that big/thick with the device it comes with, it’s just not possible.
Tumblr media
Back of the box featuring brief instructions on how you use the device
Tumblr media
And here’s everything you get in the box: Anna, the braiding tool and its stand and doll clip, 2 hair clips, a red hair pully tool, a comb, 6 elastic Bands, and a set of instructions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First off, Anna herself. Aside from the Long hair and the Lack of a Cloak she’s Identical to the Regular Hasbro Frozen 2 Anna, down to the painted legs and Unpainted boots. While it got rather frizzy during the unboxing process, her Long hair is very nice, a little shorter than I thought, and surprised they attempted to do the back and down Braid with this particular doll, even if it’s kinda Half Assed here. I ended up undoing it later.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s the Instructions, showing everything you get, how to actually use the braiding device, and some style suggestions and Trouble shooting for the device. They instructions are fine I guess, if a Little confusing,
Tumblr media
Here’s the Red Pully Tool, the Hair clips, Elastic Bands, and the Comb. The Hair clips are nice, and the Comb Is a really Good doll comb.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally here’s the Braiding Device. This thing sucks. The whole main gimmick with this doll, and it only sorta works. You have to separate the hair section you wanna braid into 3 sections, but they can’t be too thick otherwise you can’t really pull it out the other end of the device. To start braiding it you press the button and the 3 hair cylinders spin around, but sometimes it doesn’t spill all the way and gets stuck. Even when it does work you have to have all 3 Hair sections pulled through evenly, which is VERY Hard to do, otherwise...
Tumblr media
You get something like this. The Braids Just don’t come out good in all the attempts I tried to do this, and this was the best of the bunch. This is just not Good. This Gimmick/Feature sucks. I’d be Better off just braiding it my way even if the braids end up hella thick like mine usually do. THIS is the most Disappointing Part of this set, the Gimmick just Flat out sucks. But the doll itself is still pretty good
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I ended up Just using the Elastic, as well as the additional elastic used in the packaging, which I usually try to save for doll hair, to make a loose Pony Tail. I also put on the hair clips on the sides, and I really like this Look for her.
Overall This Doll set is Alright. The Gimmick Sucks but the Doll is Great.
