Nathaniel glanced around the coffee table to see the others were all silently looking at him, with expressions that each contained various degrees of admiration and concern.

“What?” he asked defensively. “I’m helping. I can’t help it if I can see the obvious.”

“I suppose there are some advantages to having a reformed criminal on our side,” agreed Dipika.

Nathaniel frowned at her use of the word “criminal”, though he knew better than to argue it.

mr benedict and constance are having a picnic off to the side (constance refused to run) and milligan is sitting with them because he would probably win and also i wanted jackson and jillson to be in the running (literally)

Whether I think my enemies and coworkers could successfully secure a perimeter:

The boy with glasses: No. He was very rude to me on the car ride back to my boss’s compound. He won’t secure anything with that attitude.

The Other Boy (Reynard I think his name was???): No. He, for some reason, broke down under my boss’s interrogation, when it turned out Martina Crowe was guilty, and he didn’t even do anything. So why did he look so nervous for no reason? He clearly doesn’t have what it takes.

Pink Girl: Yes. She was quite nice to me when I recounted my tale of glory. I believe she is more than capable, and that my story inspired her.

Wetherall’s Daughter: I don’t like her father, but she probably could with proper training. That bucket of hers does seem useful.

Wetherall: No, and it’s not because I hate him or because everyone thinks he’s so much stronger and better than me, so stop saying that. It’s because he nearly drowned because of a tiny eel bite. I was bitten by a cat once, and I didn’t nearly drown because of that. Wetherall is just weak.

Yellow Lady: She’d secure the perimeter and put up a good fight against most enemies, but against me, she wouldn’t stand a chance. The only reason her home was spared was because the boss told us to stand down.

Dr. Curtain (my boss): absolutely. No question about it. He’s a brilliant man.

My Boss’s Clone: Not many people know this, but the enemy my boss has asked me to track down looks suspiciously like him. I suspect he might be an evil clone. I plan to investigate this further, but in the event that I have to know which one is the real Dr. Curtain, my plan is to ask them to secure a perimeter. I’m sure Dr. Curtain is up to the task, but we’ve easily captured and electrocuted his clone before. That’s how you can tell the difference.

“Miss. Dipika Perumal”: She seems like a nice woman, but with such an obviously fake name and disguise, it’s unlikely she’d be able to secure the perimeter.

The Other Lady Working for My Boss’s Clone: I think she could do it. She found the root cellar pretty easily. But I’d need to see how she performs in the field first.

Dr. Garrison: No. We found her root cellar pretty easily, and so did a lot of other people. I don’t think she could secure a perimeter.

Jackson and Jillson: Absolutely not. They are not qualified to secure a perimeter or be in charge in Dr. Curtain’s absence.

Marlon: I don’t think he could secure a perimeter, but I don’t really think that matters, because I haven’t seen him in weeks. Maybe he quit?

Martina Crowe: No. She had the opportunity to walk away clean, and instead she betrayed Dr. Curtain for the traitorous Wetheralls. That was an unwise choice, and not the decision of a perimeter securing professional.

SQ: Yes. If his father could do it, then I’m sure his son can do it too.

Erika: Yes, but not as well as I could. I’m better. If Jackson and Jillson told you she was better, that’s only because they are jealous haters.

The Alpaca: No he could not. He’s an alpaca. I don’t know who started that rumor, but he could not secure a perimeter.

ok so, i just finished ep 7 of tmbs season 2, and i know not everyone has liked this season, i get it, i really do, but i have loved every episode, so here's my favorite things about the season that i can remember before the last ep <3

Constance genuinely smiling at scamming people

Constance emotionally devastating Garrison while in her captivity. absolute gold

ok but... y'know Sebastian?? and that moment in like,,, ep 1 or 2 (i think?) where he just stares at the screen??? yeah, that shit had me genuinely terrified

Curtain's little dance to Stand Back by Stevie Nicks. incredible

the Society scamming a bunch of people, Reynie feeling bad and making them return their winnings, and them getting money back for being honest???

trying to figure out where S.Q. is. my current theory is that Garrison won him in the custody agreement and he's just having a sleepover with his friends <3

the acting of these kids?!?! they are doing a wonderful job and i love them so <3

and that's it. again, ik that not everyone likes the new season and that it is likely done out of love for these characters and series, but i really, genuinely like the new season. and maybe that's because i'm just easy to please, or i see so much of these characters in myself, growing up queer and neurodivergent in an environment that from the age of fucking seven didn't feel safe. or i love these characters and story so much, because it feels like a warm blanket, because it reminds me of points in my childhood where i felt safe and wasn't bullied, that i'm willing to take anything i can get of them that i'm so willing to overlook it's flaws...

i'm not great with my words or fists, but i am willing to defend this show. i love it dearly and i know it's not perfect, i know it's not the books,,, but i love it

New Crack Headcanon Idea:

Miss Perumal can hotwire a motorbike because her mother was in a Robin Hood-esque biker gang when she was younger, and she passed those skills onto her daughter

The organization Curtain is trying to takeover is an old historical school that Constance just so happens to go to.

Constance is a strange but secretly good hearted little girl who has trouble making friends and finding happiness. BUT she does find joy in learning. Sticky also happens to be at this school but he works at a teacher’s assistant for Ms.Perumal. He also volunteers at the local nursing home for bingo and game nights. He’s known around town for being a board game and trivia champ. People love him.

Oh but this poor eccentric little girl is getting her school taken away! Her happy place! And this smart young man who is a small town hero doesn’t have enough money to pay for that big fancy STEM college in Massachusetts he so desperately wants to go to. What ever shall anyone do??? (Spoilers alert the fundraiser makes enough money for Constance to keep her school and for Sticky to go to Boatwright College.)

Martina runs in to a coffee shop to finally get some work done in this god forsaken place. The only coffee shop in this entire town is called “The Sweater Vest”. Weird name but okay this is the best she’s going to get. Here she meets Reynie. A sweet boy who despite owning and single handedly running a coffee shop mainly sells tea. And this town loves his tea. Reynie tells Martina about how Dipika Perumal is actually his mother and the impending closure of the school is really starting to weigh on her. Reynie then proceeds to go on speech with uplifting music about the power of family, community, and the holiday season.

He also casually mentions that he’s an orphan and omg this is like the forth time someone in this town has told Martina that they’re an orphan. So this town is the just filled with wonderful, perfect, good-hearted orphans who have had these super hard lives??? Maybe Martina does need to become a better person and find the holiday spirit after all???

Bad Hallmark Christmas movie AU where Martina Crowe is an uptight business woman from the big city who has to come back home for Christmas. She meets small town farm girl Kate Wehterall and romcom high jinks ensue.
