The Department of Homeland Security eliminated its Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, firing those responsible for oversight of the Trump administration’s immigration policies.
The New York Times first reported the move, indicating that more than 100 staff members of the office were put on administrative leave for the next 60 days.

Undocumented immigrants pay into social services
Tumblr media
How? Well, they work and file taxes
Tumblr media
How much do they pay?
Tumblr media
Why? Well, it looks good on your citizenship application if you have been following the laws. And it's good for the us government if the irs brings in as much money as possible. In return for that money, they promised the information was 100% confidential ...

Heard a radio ad by the DHS that was basically a campaign ad
I know it was them because they said they were the ones who paid for it at the end. It was full of dramatic music and campaign-style talk about Trump's immigration crackdown. Supposedly it was directed at illegal immigrants, telling them to leave of their own volition and they would be allowed a chance to return legally, but I would be very interested to hear of literally any examples of criminals deciding to cease doing whatever law-breaking activities they're doing because an advertisement told them "hey, stop doing that and maybe one day you'll get to do it legally". But the worst part by far was the references it made to "weak politicians"-I don't care if Trump wants to insult everyone under the sun, but while no names were named it could not be more obvious to which former government officials he was referring, and that was done with my tax dollars, and yours, and everyone else's. As far as I'm concerned Trump just used tax money for a campaign ad, and he didn't even do it during an actual fucking campaign. Hope the lawsuit was worth, what, trying to boost two special elections to the Mississippi state house and some ballot measures in Louisiana? Anything else happening electorally this month I'm missing?
This is absurd and nobody should be supporting this. It would be a total waste of money anyways, because again there are no criminals who stop breaking the law because the government asks them to on the radio, but with this added in it's easily the worst thing he's done so far that hasn't 1. killed anyone(sad that that's just something Presidents do now, but 9/11 sure was a thing 24 years ago) or 2. been done explicitly in the name of bigotry(the trans army ban and passport bs).

Ximena Bustillo and Sergio Martínez-Beltrán at NPR:
Immigration authorities can now enter schools, healthcare facilities and places of worship to conduct arrests, according to a new policy from the Department of Homeland Security. "Criminals will no longer be able to hide in America's schools and churches to avoid arrest," a DHS spokesperson said in a statement. "The Trump administration will not tie the hands of our brave law enforcement, and instead trusts them to use common sense." The directive, which covers agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection, rescinds guidance from the Biden administration that created "protected areas" that primarily consisted of places where "children gather, disaster or emergency relief sites, and social services establishments." The Biden-era guideline mandated that immigration enforcement operations shouldn't take place  in or near a location that would limit peoples' access to "essential" services or activities. A second directive DHS announced on Tuesday also followed through on one of President Trump's executive orders signed Monday night to "terminate all categorical parole programs that are contrary to the policies of the United States established in my Executive Orders," including the humanitarian parole program for people from Nicaragua, Cuba, Haiti and Venezuela.
The tyrannical Trump Regime revokes protections from sensitive places such as schools, healthcare facilities and places of worship, thereby permitting jackboot ICE/CBP agents to conduct arrests in those places.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced she was suspending aid for nonprofits that helped migrants and complained the non-governmental organizations were not "telling somebody about Jesus."
Noem made the announcement during an exclusive Wednesday interview on Fox News.
"Today we are announcing that we have stopped all grant funding that's being abused by NGOs to facilitate illegal immigration into this country," she told host Will Cain. "So it's amazing to me the hundreds of millions of dollars that have been spent by the federal government that has been sent to NGOs to facilitate this invasion of our country."

The Committee request that the Department of Homeland Security list all of the people who violated the law and are being deported because of their association with terror groups. After some stonewalling, the DHS answered the question: Zero.
Keep in mind that in October, the US declared Samidoun - which has been instrumental in many antisemitic protests - to be a terrorist organization, a fundraising front for the Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
Yet even before the designation, there were other reasons to investigate foreign student protesters. Not only does the law say that aliens associated with terrorism are inadmissible to the US, but also "Any immigrant who is or has been a member of or affiliated with the Communist or any other totalitarian party (or subdivision or affiliate thereof), domestic or foreign, is inadmissible."
Most of the major protests have been organized by communist groups like ANSWER (it is linked to the Party for Socialism and Liberation which describes itself as communist), and Samidoun is also linked to many communist groups itself.
In short, if the DHS wanted to protect Jews on campus, it has plenty of ammunition to not only get rid of foreign participants and supporters of antisemitic protests but also to send a message of intolerance for intolerance.

How are we living in 2024 with the future head of the Department of Homeland Security not having ANY fundamental knowledge on Cybersecurity. This is an absolute disgrace. People study their asses off to be in the field.
