GOOD NEWS EVERYBODY IM BACK I HAVE ANSWERS so we looked at my teeth etc and I’m not gonna die of sepsis bc despite all the shit my toothache caused me there’s no infection. so what was it, Bronwyn? good question!
wisdom teeth
#LMFAO#my wisdom teeth are……… so poorly angled. 100% impact on all four#and the left one is tryna make moves so it’s swelling my gums which is raising my molar#and jacking up my bite while the tooth is sensitive in sensitive gums#¯\_(ツ)_/¯#so he suggested just. get rid of them. take the wisdom teeth out. all 4 bc of the possible impact from them#and if I didn’t I’d just periodically have this crazy ass pain come and go and come and go and fuck THAT so. removal it is#👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻#I have no idea what that’s gonna cost lmfao so we’ll…. we’ll see#and today basically the pain hasn’t been nearly as severe. the swelling has gone down significantly. so I think the pain/problem is#subsiding for a bit. I hope. lol. so they’re referring me to the dental hospital teehee#and then we did a clean of my teeth bc I have crazy plaque buildup and thus bacteria and thus making the issue worse. apparently. so#which isn’t a surprise. depression and adhd means I don’t brush my teeth as often as I should. and floss is scary#while doing that he seemed to have no problems with any of my fillings so I assume they’re fine atm too#all those side effects bc my wisdom tooth wants to play up…….. attention seeker#also between that molar and the gums where the wisdom tooth is. there’s a pocket. apparently. and stuff is getting stuck in there apparently#a pocket……. head in hands. and obviously that’s difficult to clean so that’s also bothering my gums and thus my tooth. GOD#ooc#anyways that’s the dentist update. tldr; I’m fucking fine it’s just wisdom teeth fucking it all up

24hrs post-surgery, I cannot express what a relief it is to have that tooth out of my skull. My adjacent teeth feel a little weird, but I am genuinely shocked by how much more energy & focus I have without the constant thrum of pain, plus finally being able to properly eat again.
I had ice cream today, and it was freezer burned to hell, but still one of the best things I’ve had in a long time. I had mac & cheese again, because I finally had the energy to actually make the sauce. I decided to go downtown & browse the second-hand shops because I wanted to. I haven’t wanted to leave the house in months.
Holy shit, I could actually cry. I feel like a person again. When was the last time I wasn’t in pain?
#The tooth started being a problem I was aware of last autumn… just after I finally got my GI issues mostly under control.#I just thought one of my fillings was sensitive at the time. It was such a slow creep that I didn’t think much about it#until it started interfering with my eating a couple months ago.#I just…#wow#what a fucking difference#I /do/ have pins-and-needles tingling in the adjacent teeth though haha#Hope THAT doesn’t signify anything and goes away soon!#//#health#dental problems#tmi#My life#mine

Best Treatment For Bleeding Gums
Dealing with bleeding gums is both concerning and uncomfortable, and often signals underlying oral health issues. With that being said, there are a lot of effective treatments available out there that can alleviate this common problem and restore gum health. For your dental health, you need to immediately find the best treatment for Bleeding Gums.
In this article, I will be discussing the most commonly asked queries regarding bleeding gums and treatment solutions for them!
What Is Bleeding Gums?
Bleeding gums occur when gum tissue easily bleeds, generally when brushing and flossing. This condition often occurs as a result of gum inflation that is caused by plaque accumulation. Regular dental care including flossing, brushing and dental check-ups is essential for the prevention and treatment of this condition.
What Is The Cause Of Bleeding Gums?
We have already discussed before, that the causes of bleeding gums in adults and children are caused by gum inflammation known as Gingivitis. It gets triggered by a plaque buildup along the gumline. If not removed through proper oral hygiene practices like flossing and brushing, the plaque irritates the gums and leads to bleeding and inflammation. Regular dental care aids in preventing and managing this condition effectively.
Which Deficiency Causes Bleeding Gums?
You can face Bleeding gums if you have a deficiency in Vitamin C, which plays a crucial role in maintaining healthy gums. An insufficient intake of Vitamin C weakens the blood vessels that are present in the gums and leads to an increased susceptibility to bleeding. Ensuring an adequate dietary source or supplement helps in preventing this deficiency-associated issue.
What Is The Best Medicine For Bleeding Gums?
The best medicine for bleeding gums involves the use of non-prescription options like antiseptic mouthwashes that contain chlorhexidine or other OTC topical gels that have ingredients like Benzocaine. However, it is also important to consult a dentist to determine the underlying cause and appropriate treatment, which may include antibiotics or professional cleaning for the more severe cases.
How Do You Treat Oral Bleeding?
To treat oral bleeding, apply a gentle amount of pressure with a gauze or clean cloth to the affected area for about 10 minutes. Then you need to rinse your mouth with cold water. If the bleeding persists, then immediately seek medical/dental help to know the underlying issue and get appropriate treatment. Also remember not to take a chance if the discomfort and pain in your gums is becoming intolerable for you, consult a specialist immediately.
Do Bleeding Gums Go Away?
With proper dental care like regular brushing and flossing, it is possible to improve bleeding gums. There are also many mouthwashes and ointments available to help with your condition of bleeding gums.
If the bleeding persists even after maintaining good oral hygiene then consult a dentist for further evaluation and treatment. Also, you can search on Google – Best Treatment For Bleeding Gums and you can see Dean Dental Clinic in SERP.
Can You Treat Bleeding Gums At Home?
You can also treat Bleeding Gums at home by maintaining good oral hygiene. Make sure to brush gently and twice a day daily. Also, make sure to floss and use mouthwash regularly. Then rinse with hydrogen peroxide or salt water to aid in the healing. If the bleeding worsens or persists, consult a dentist to address underlying issues.
Does Drinking Water Help Bleeding Gums?
Drinking water can aid in improving bleeding gums by flushing away bacteria and food particles which contribute even more to gum inflammation. Along with that, you will also need to have proper dental hygiene and professional care for long-term gum health
Does Toothpaste Stop Gum Bleeding?
Toothpaste can stop gum bleeding by reducing inflammation and plaque. It contains ingredients like antibacterials and fluoride which helps prevent gum disease, which is a common cause of bleeding. However, if faced with severe bleeding then that requires professional dental care.
Can Stress Cause Gum Bleeding?
Stress can cause gum bleeding by weakening the immune system and increasing inflammation. It can also exacerbate conditions like periodontitis/gingivitis. This makes the gum more susceptible to bleeding. Managing stress through relaxation techniques and maintaining good oral hygiene is also crucial for effective gum health.
Tip: When searching for a convenient dental clinic near where you reside, conduct a “Best Dental Clinic Near Me” search on Google or any other search engine to get details.
What Is The Best Treatment For Bleeding Gums?
The best and most effective treatment for bleeding gums involves improving oral hygiene with regular flossing and brushing. You can also incorporate using an antibacterial mouthwash into your routine as well. Addressing underlying causes like vitamin deficiencies and gum disease through dental consultation ensures effective prevention and treatment.
How Do Dentists Treat Bleeding Gums?
Dentists treat bleeding gums by assessing the underlying cause through a rigid examination. They may recommend professional dental cleanings for removing plaque and tartar. They will also prescribe appropriate mouthwash and antibiotics for infections and educate on proper oral hygiene practices to promote gum health.
What Medication Is Used For Bleeding Gums?
For bleeding gums, antibiotics like doxycycline or medications like chlorhexidine mouthwash might be prescribed. However, treatment generally focuses on improving oral hygiene and addressing any underlying issues like periodontal or gingivitis disease through regular brushing/flossing and professional dental care.
Can You Stop Gum Bleeding At Home?
Wondering how to stop gum bleeding immediately at home? Well, to stop bleeding gums at home, first rinse with warm saltwater and then apply pressure with a tea bag or clean gauze. You also need to avoid any irritating substances like tobacco as well. Maintain good oral hygiene, including flossing and brushing gently – this will prevent a recurrence.
Which Vitamin Is Good For Gums?
Vitamin C is the best vitamin to take for gums. They are known to strengthen the soft tissues and gums in your mouth. These supplements also protect against gingivitis and prevent teeth from loosening. You can buy Vitamin C supplements from any medical or pharmacy shop offline/online.
Conclusion:
Addressing bleeding gums requires thorough and proactive care of the underlying causes. From maintaining proper oral hygiene to seeking professional dental advice, always stay informed and proactive to prevent and manage bleeding gums effectively.

"As Good as Dental Sealants – Scientists Discover Inexpensive Liquid That Prevents Tooth Decay"
Article Date: March 6, 2024.
Highlights:
SDF has emerged as another promising treatment for fighting cavities. Originally approved by the FDA for treating tooth sensitivity, the solution is brushed onto the surface of teeth, killing decay-causing bacteria and remineralizing teeth to prevent further decay.
"A growing body of research shows that SDF—which is quicker to apply and less expensive than sealants—can prevent and arrest cavities, reducing the need for drilling and filling,” said Richard Niederman, DMD, professor of epidemiology & health promotion at NYU College of Dentistry and the study’s senior author.
[...] The study included approximately 4,100 children in New York City elementary schools; more than a quarter of kids had untreated cavities at the start of the study.
[...]
The researchers reported last year in the journal JAMA Network Open that a single treatment of either SDF or sealants prevented 80% of cavities and kept 50% of existing cavities from worsening two years later. The team continued their study for another two years, and in their study published in JAMA Pediatrics, found that SDF and sealants prevented roughly the same number of cavities after children were followed for a total of four years. Moreover, both sealants and SDF reduced the risk of decay at each follow-up visit.
[...]
Embracing SDF for cavity prevention and treatment in schools could keep kids from needing fillings, saving families and the healthcare system money. Yet these programs can only succeed if there are enough health professionals to provide care.

A Little Sweetness
"Ow!" Shang Qinghua was having the worst day. His tooth ached and a dentist appointment confirmed that he had to get a dental filling for a tooth.
Besides the heartache he felt after paying an exorbitant fee, he felt a dull ache from all the scraping he had to endure at the dentist's. Qinghua shuddered as he remembered the ordeal.
Mobei pushed his cheeks together, the warm palms squeezing the plush flesh. “Are you still eating too much sweets?”
“No I’m not!!” QH protested as much as he could— which isn’t much, as MBJ continued to squeeze his cheeks like his personal stress ball.
Squish
Squish
“Okay, okay, if QH says so, but maybe I should still see for myself.” MBJ looked at him teasingly, with a mischievous look in his eye,
“just to be sure.”
—
Mbj began his earnest pursuit. Kissing at his jaw, down to his chin, slowly making his way towards his lips and closed the distance between them.
Qinghua covered his lips with his hands, his face starting to have a tinge of pink, seemingly baked by the warmth of the sun.
“Will Qinghua let me in hmm?” MBJ smiled, coaxing the hand that blocked his lips with kisses, wearing down his defenses with all that urging.
But QH was sensitive!! Not even in a sexy-breed-me way but in a-my-teeth-still-hurt-from-being-scraped-and-filled-in kind of way. 😩
“No!” QH pouted, a blush steadily climbing up his skin which only made MBJ want to tease him even more. So childish yet lovable all the same, he thought.
Mobei Jun took that opportunity to trap Qinghua's arms, as he kissed more fervently. A hunger building up from the pit of his stomach as he slowly left gentle bites; a pleading in the guise of tugging on QH’s lips.
“Are you sure?” MBJ smiled knowingly.
Qinghua's eyes darted down, he couldn't look at Mobei jun or his resolve would crumble down.
And crumble down, it did.
It didn’t take long until MBJ was sucking on his tongue while rubbing his hands across QH’s lower back.
Qinghua could feel himself stir, it didn't help that Mobei Jun's hands already knew which buttons of his to press. He was already feeling lightheaded when MBJ felt his way towards his inner thigh. He was at his limit!! He gasped for much needed air, breaking the kiss, much to both of their disappointment.
"I thought you’ve been cutting back on sugar, so why do you taste so sweet?" MBJ whispered in his ear.
Qinghua groaned and forcefully put his head on MBJ’s shoulder. He wanted to bang his head on the wall. THAT WAS TOO CORNY!!!
He should’ve cringed but for some reason it went straight to his heart instead. He's so frustrating! He squeezed MBJ into a tight hug and bit his shoulder to vent.
"N-no, that should be wrong. I told you I was cutting back. Why would I need sweets, when I have you?" FUCK. FUCK. HE WAS WORSE FOR PLAYING INTO IT.
He wanted to stay on the crook of MBJ's neck like an ostrich hiding but MBJ’s shoulders started to shake from holding back a laugh. QH was about to get defensively angry, but was suddenly stopped with a light kiss on his forehead.
"What do you want to eat? I’ll make you what you want."
Ah, forget it. He loved this man too much to care anymore.
[END]
Everyone else trying to ignore them at the dentist’s: 🧍🧍🧍
I’m kidding, they're at home, I just wanted them to be so in love its insufferable.

dentist update (first time in about 3ish years) - would love input on this if you work in the dental field and notice something amiss here. for the most part this office has done great work, but some conflict between them pushing for more work and my insurance not covering it was a big part of why it took me so long to go back
had a cleaning with no numbing, went ok. Just a few sensitive spots that hurt for a fraction of a second
i thought i had an abscess but I don't (yet)(partially exposed nerve)
I need a lot of work. they want to root canal/post/cap like 4 or 5 of my teeth (I definitely have some rough ones but I wonder how necessary R-P-C's are versus like, just getting a root canal and filling). There are a few "just fillings" that I need though.
I have a broken tooth that needs to be pulled
one of the teeth they want to work on is one they already R-P-C'd but after the x-ray, dentist said there is a "lesion" near the root. I have no pain there but he said maybe it didn't heal properly or something. This is suspect to me considering it hasn't been a problem at all, but he did show me the little dark spot on the xray.
after the cleaning, the dentist pulled out a big filling I had that he said looked like it was about to fall out. He barely tugged at it and it fell out. He didn't give me a temp filling or anything. I asked about it and he told me to just keep it clean until they can work on it. (I was trying to chew on the left side of my mouth to keep food out of the place where I thought I had the abscess on the right, and now I have an open tooth on the left too so I might shove some temporary filler in there until my next appt next week).
curiously, they told me that everything would be covered by my insurance except for the cleaning they'll want to do in 6 months, which isn't too pricey. I expressed surprise to this because a bunch of stuff didn't get authorized last time I was there. The lady said something like "don't be surprised, it's always been covered" which concerns me because a lot of stuff wasn't approved last time by the insurance. So maybe I need their definition of "covered" vs "authorized" or something.
I have another appt next week.
The reason I list all this stuff out is to clarify it all in my head and have a record of what happened that I can refer back to when I will inevitably forget. Also I asked for a copy of the dental plan list and the prices, and the lady told me it would be emailed to me. So far no email.

NSB (Straud Legacy) Gen 9 Ep 96: The Stressies
The structured class on fatherly responsibilities made Luigi more comfortable about his future, but things soon began to go sideways for the couple.
It started when he clumsily told Noemi about his past relationship with Amaya. While trying to apologize for complicating their lives as they were preparing for the baby, he wound up suggesting that she couldn’t keep hanging out with Amaya because of her history with him.
That sounded far too self-centered and controlling for Noemi to put up with. “Not everything is about YOU, Lu!” she shot back, angrily mirroring Beau’s sentiments. “I’m not giving up a great new friend, just because you had a prior failed claim on her.”
“Suck it up and deal with the awkwardness of seeing her around, because I don’t make friends easily and I really like her!” she said, leaving for class.
Luigi picked up a carton of Noemi’s favorite ice cream that evening as a peace offering, but the chilled treat wound up making more trouble for them.
From the very first bite an issue Luigi had been neglecting came back up with a vengeance. The toothache that had started the day they announced the pregnancy to his family had been getting progressively worse, but he’d been “way too busy” to see a dentist. He’d recently been doing his best to avoid chewing on that side, but the mouthful of melting ice cream hit his sore tooth like a thousand icy, stabbing, needles.
When he cursed loudly, tears springing to his eyes, his startled girlfriend pried the whole story out of him.
“You have to take better care of yourself!” she chided, pulling out her phone to make them both an appointment with the dentist. Her own teeth had been a bit sensitive to their snack, and if she had to babysit him to make sure he got to the clinic, she might as well get checked out too.
At the dentist it was discovered that the couple was, once again, in sync. Both sims had a cavity that required filling.
Noemi’s dental decay had been caught early on and she didn’t even need to be numbed for her quick procedure, but Luigi didn’t get off so easily.
He’d let his issue linger too long, and the erosion of his enamel had reached the nerve, causing his severe discomfort. His filling required a big dose of local anesthetic and a marathon session in the dental chair, during which the dentist told him he was lucky he didn’t need a root canal!
Luigi was feeling quite sorry for himself when they got home, half his face still numb and feeling uncomfortably like a block of wood bolted to his skull. Noemi set aside her irritation to plop down next to him and break his bleak introspection with a joke. “Oh, that’s so much better. Where they really need to be handing out painkillers is in the waiting room! That “couch” was awfully uncomfortable, especially for those of us sitting for two!”
The stress of balancing baby prep and schoolwork came to a head for the pair as finals approached. While Noemi was revising her final presentation for her programming class, racket from the apartment across the hall kept distracting Luigi from the studies he felt way behind on.
Eventually his control over his temper cracked and he stormed out into the hallway, pounding on their door and screaming “Keep it down, some of us are trying to study!” Not wanting her baby pictures to feature a proud papa in a nose splint, Noemi dragged her boyfriend away from their unrepentant neighbor and the couple took a short study break (featuring some VERY loud forest sounds) to recapture their zen.
Things went from bad to worse when Luigi returned home one afternoon to find Chubbs dead on the kitchen floor. Noemi, in the office doing homework, heard him sobbing and came to what to see what was the matter just in time to catch Grim whisking their furry friend away to the nether realm.
She took Luigi into her arms for a comforting hug, her heart breaking for him as he sobbed out that Chubbs had been a present to him from his papa, who’d adored cats. He’d always intended to start doing a better job showing her love and making time for her after graduation, and now it was too late!
That concept of running out of time followed Noemi into her nightmares that night, as she dreamt of literally running from a wave of darkness that was slowly turning her into a withered crone. She jerked awake with the vivid memory of a painful stitch in her side.
Noemi gasped, sitting up and clutching her stomach. The pain had not been her imagination. To make matters worse, the baby was wiggling and kicking like he too was in distress.
Panicked and terrified she woke Luigi. Seeing Noemis distress, he kept quiet about his own nightmare, in which he’d went home to visit his father only to find him, like Chubbs, cold and still, a cake to celebrate his grandson’s birth sitting unfinished on the counter.
Instead, he quickly got them dressed and headed for the hospital, hoping fervently as they went that both Noemi and their son would be OK.

Dental Health in Children: When to Begin and What to Expect
Maintaining good dental health in children begins at a young age and sets the basis for a lifetime of healthy smiles. Dr. Nivesh Kakkar's Kakkar Dental Clinic in Ashok Vihar, New Delhi, emphasises the need for early tooth care and education. This article will address the essentials of children's dental health, as well as guidance on when to schedule checks, what to expect during these sessions, and how to encourage healthy oral hygiene practices at home.
Early Dental Treatment Is Crucial
A child's journey toward optimal oral health starts long before their first tooth erupts. Early dental care routine development can help to avoid oral health issues later on and foster lifelong healthy habits. It is advised by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) that children see a dentist by the time they become one year old or within six months of the emergence of their first tooth. There are several reasons why this early visit is crucial.
How to Create a Dental Home:
Your child can receive complete oral health treatment in a dental home. It helps foster a bond between the child and the dentist and offers continuity of service.
Early Problem Identification:
Frequent examinations make it possible to identify possible issues early on, such as tooth decay or misalignment, so that treatment can begin before the condition gets worse.
Parent Education:
Parents should use the initial appointment as an opportunity to inquire about their child's diet, oral health, and appropriate dental care methods.
When to Begin Seeing a Dentist
1. From birth to 6 months:
Even before teeth sprout, parents should begin wiping their infant's gums after feedings with a damp washcloth. This eliminates bacteria and establishes a routine.
Infants who are put to sleep with bottles that are filled with sugary drinks have an early risk of tooth decay.
2. Between 6 months and 1 year:
It's time for the first dental checkup as soon as the first tooth erupts, which typically happens between six and twelve months.
At this point, parents ought to begin using water and a toothbrush with soft bristles to brush their child's teeth.
3. 1 Year and Beyond:
Kids should keep going to the dentist every six months after their first birthday.
At the moment when two teeth come into contact, apply fluoride toothpaste in tiny amounts (about the size of a rice grain).
What to anticipate from dental appointments
At Kakkar Dental Clinic, Dr. Nivesh Kakkar's main goal is to make your child's first dental visit joyful. This is how things typically work out:
First Inspection:
Learning:
Treatment with Fluoride:
Establishing Comfort
Creating Healthful Habits for Oral Hygiene
Once your child has started going to the dentist on a regular basis, it is critical to instill good dental hygiene habits at home:
Using a brush:
Using a pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste for children aged 2 to 6, brush your child's teeth twice a day.
Until the child reaches the age of eight, supervise their brushing to make sure they are doing it correctly.
Taking care of:
As soon as two teeth come into contact, begin flossing.
When your child is old enough, teach them how to carefully floss between their teeth.
Nutritious Diet:
Cut out on sugary drinks and snacks as these can cause cavities.
Promote wholesome snacks such as cheese, yogurt, fruits, and veggies.
Frequent Examinations:
Make dentist appointments for cleanings and exams every six months.
Watch for any indications of dental problems, such as tooth discolouration or sensitivity.
Common Dental Problems in Kids
Parents who are aware of prevalent dental issues can take preventative action:
Cavities: One of the most common long-term illnesses affecting children is tooth decay. It happens when bacteria break down meal carbohydrates into acids that weaken tooth enamel.
Gum Disease: Children are susceptible to gingivitis just like adults are. Gums that swell or bleed when brushing are warning signs.
Misalignment: Children's jaws may not expand uniformly as they get older, which can cause misaligned teeth or bite problems that may eventually need orthodontic treatment.
In summary
Ensuring the oral health of children is crucial for maintaining healthy smiles throughout their lives. Preventing dental problems in the future requires starting dental appointments by the time a child turns one and developing strong oral hygiene practices at home. Dr. Nivesh Kakkar and his staff at the Kakkar Dental Clinic in Ashok Vihar are committed to offering complete paediatric dental care that is customised to meet your child's needs. We cordially encourage you to set up an appointment right now and begin the process of ensuring your child's radiant smile!

God, making posts like this is not easy. But here goes nothing.
First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to read this. Very recently, I was dealt two medical setbacks within the same week. Posting this is extremely difficult and violates every single safe feeling in my body when it comes to asking for help, but I’ve also reached an impasse where I don’t have any other choice but to reach out to my community and be vulnerable.
I am attempting to raise approximately $4,400 to address the following medical needs
1. Time sensitive dental care
To resolve advanced, time sensitive tooth decay, including fillings and crowns.
I am currently utilizing CareCredit to cover the upfront out-of-pocket costs of dental care.
I am resolving these issues to be eligible for surgery ASAP, per the advisement of my care team (see details below)
Estimated cost of this care is approx $2,200 post-deductible; I have paid for approx $1,500 of the treatments at this time via CareCredit (receipts posted below)
2. Parathyroidectomy (surgery)
I was recently diagnosed with primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT). First-line treatment for PHPT is surgical intervention (parathyroidectomy).
Estimated cost of this surgery is approx $2,200 post-deductible. These are based on estimates via UHC for the in-network team I’ve selected.
With PHPT, I experience chronic pain of the joints, muscles, and bones, as well as additional side effects such as extreme fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, constipation, and nausea.
For those familiar with PHPT, I have PTH levels of 185pg/mL (normal 10-65pg/mL), calcium levels of 11mg/dL (normal 8.5-10.5 mg/dL), and a left adenoma roughly the size of a bean, per my 4DCT scans (for context, a normal parathyroid gland is no bigger than a grain of rice). I have likely had this adenoma for over 5 years and desperately need to remove it to vastly improve my life and tackle chronic pain and fatigue, for which I've been having weekly physical therapy to help mitigate.
I have likely had this adenoma for over 5 years and desperately need to remove it to vastly improve my life. Receiving first-line treatment is extremely necessary in ensuring I do not develop osteoporosis and/or kidney disease further down the line.
Unfortunately, I have increasing credit card debt, making the payments to CareCredit extremely challenging to manage due to the high interest rates I currently have on other cards. I have accrued these charges due to a combination of life hardships, prior medical debt (previous dental work), and the overall high cost of living.
My ultimate goal vis-a-vis this GoFundMe is to pay off my CareCredit card to fulfill these medical needs, then through NFCC (National Foundation for Credit Counseling) work with a counselor to (1) close my credit cards and (2) lower my interest rates. I cannot close my credit cards and begin to properly manage my debt until I have fulfilled the medical needs I have.
For additional context about me, as of right now I have a full-time job in operations. I am also neurodivergent (AuDHD) and have always struggled with financial literacy. In full transparency, I have made financial mistakes along the way that I cannot undo, mistakes which are all catching up to me at this point in time.
I find due to these mistakes and due to life hardships I have no control over, it is getting harder for me to keep up with the day-to-day costs of living, including buying essential groceries, paying rent, and paying my utilities. If I can tackle this medical debt, I truly believe I will get ahead of my other debt.
Thank you for reading this far. As I said, anything you can spare, even $5, is greatly appreciated and will extend a long way. Sharing this across your networks is also greatly appreciated and will help more than words can say. Thank you so so so much.

Dental Care
Payments made toward CareCredit via Tend UWS, where I am receiving treatment.

I have a friend who was never taught how to take care of herself, including how to wash/brush/braid her hair, how to wash her face, how to care for acne, how to brush her teeth correctly, how to apply makeup and correctly wash it off, ect. In order to keep her anonymous and also get all the info (as I'm not one to do all the tutorials alone) I'm croudsourcing this info. If you're free, please pick a self care topic and write a simple tutorial on it. If you don't have time, well wishes are also appreciated.
Oh, of course! I'm not very well versed on all of these, but I can talk about how to brush your teeth properly!!!
So, basic things for dental hygiene: A toothbrush, some toothpaste, dental floss/flossers, and I personally also use mouthwash, but it's not something everyone uses.
You'll want to find a toothpaste that works for you, because some people have more sensitive teeth than others do. It's all kinda trial and error with that.
To brush your teeth, you start with your toothbrush. I personally wet it under running water, then add my toothpaste, but people do it differently. Once you've gotten your toothbrush prepped and added your toothpaste, you'll want to brush your teeth for 2 minutes. Make sure to get every bit of your teeth. If you can't visualize two minutes in your head, you can listen to any of these songs while you do! After you've brushed for two minutes, get a cup of water and rinse and spit. You don't want to swallow the toothpaste.
Flossing is also important! I tend to use flossers because they're easier to maneuver. You'll want to floss between each tooth, to make sure you get out any buildup your toothbrush didn't get. It doesn't have to take very long, just as long as you get between each tooth.
If you use mouthwash, the bottle's cap should have a fill line. You'll pour the mouthwash into the cap, up to the fill line, then swish and spit. Definitely don't want to swallow the mouthwash.
It's recommended you use the 2/2 rule when brushing your teeth! The 2/2 rule is 2 minutes, 2 times a day (morning and night). This link helps explain it! If course, if you can't manage that, once a day is perfectly fine. Just do what you can!
I hope this helps!
#Asks#Ty for the ask!!!#Life ref#<- I should have some other things under that tag that might be helpful as well <3

Professional Teeth Whitening vs. At-Home Teeth Whitening: Which is Right for You?
A bright, dazzling smile is often associated with good health, confidence, and vitality. However, over time, various factors can cause teeth to become discoloured, leading many people to seek out teeth-whitening solutions. In this blog, we'll delve into the causes of discoloured teeth, how teeth whitening works, its effectiveness, and the differences between professional teeth whitening and at-home teeth whitening options.
Causes of Discolored Teeth
Before diving into teeth whitening methods, it's essential to understand what causes teeth to become discoloured in the first place. Some common culprits include:
1. Staining Foods and Beverages: Coffee, tea, red wine, and certain fruits and vegetables contain pigments that can stain tooth enamel over time.
2. Tobacco Use: Smoking or chewing tobacco can lead to stubborn stains on teeth.
3. Poor Oral Hygiene: Inadequate brushing and flossing can allow plaque and tartar to build up, contributing to discolouration.
4. Aging: As we age, tooth enamel naturally wears down, revealing the yellowish dentin beneath.
5. Medications: Certain medications, such as tetracycline antibiotics, can cause teeth to darken or stain.
6. Genetics: Some people are genetically predisposed to having thicker or thinner enamel, which can affect tooth colour.
How Does Teeth Whitening Work?
Teeth whitening treatments aim to remove stains and discolouration from the enamel and dentin of teeth, restoring a brighter, whiter appearance. Most whitening products contain either hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide as the active bleaching agent. These chemicals break down stains into smaller, less concentrated particles, making the teeth appear whiter.
Does Teeth Whitening Work on All Teeth?
While teeth whitening can effectively remove many types of stains, it may not be suitable for everyone or every type of discolouration. For example:
Yellow Teeth: Teeth that have yellowed due to ageing or surface stains typically respond well to whitening treatments.
Brown or Gray Teeth: Teeth with brown or grey discolouration, especially those caused by medications or trauma, may be less responsive to whitening and may require alternative treatments like veneers or bonding.
Dental Restorations: Teeth whitening treatments do not work on dental restorations such as fillings, crowns, or veneers. These materials do not respond to bleaching agents, so they may need to be replaced to match the newly whitened teeth.
Teeth Whitening Options
When it comes to teeth whitening, there are two primary options available: professional teeth whitening and at-home teeth whitening kits.
Professional Teeth Whitening:
Performed by Dentists: Professional teeth whitening is typically performed by a dentist or dental hygienist in a dental office setting.
Stronger Bleaching Agents: Dentists use higher concentrations of bleaching agents than those found in over-the-counter products, allowing for more dramatic results.
Customized Treatment: Dentists can tailor the whitening treatment to the individual patient, taking into account factors such as tooth sensitivity and desired level of whitening.
Faster Results: Professional whitening treatments often yield faster results, with noticeable improvement after just one session.
At-Home Teeth Whitening:
Over-the-Counter Kits: At-home whitening kits are available at pharmacies and grocery stores and typically include whitening gels, strips, or trays.
ower Concentrations: These kits contain lower concentrations of bleaching agents compared to professional treatments, which may result in slower or less dramatic whitening.
Convenience: At-home whitening kits offer the convenience of being able to whiten your teeth on your schedule, without needing to visit a dentist's office.
Cost-Effective: At-home whitening kits are generally more affordable than professional treatments, making them a popular option for budget-conscious individuals.
Differences Between Professional Teeth Whitening and At-home Teeth Whitening
1. Effectiveness: Professional treatments tend to deliver faster and more dramatic results due to the use of higher concentrations of bleaching agents.
2. Customization: Professional whitening treatments are customized to each patient's needs, while at-home kits offer a one-size-fits-all approach.
3. Supervision: Professional whitening is performed under the supervision of a dental professional, ensuring safety and efficacy.
both professional teeth whitening and at-home whitening kits can effectively brighten your smile, but the best option for you will depend on your budget, desired level of whitening, and personal preferences. Consulting with a dentist can help you determine the most suitable whitening method for your individual needs. Remember, a radiant smile can boost your confidence and leave a lasting impression, so choose the option that works best for you and enjoy the benefits of a brighter, whiter smile!
