My lovely punk demi-mer oc their name is Scaleigh [Ska-Leh] and I love them so much

I love when magic has an effect on the body & soul of its caster. like!! you don’t get to be a reality-bending demi-god and walk away with no strings attached. there’s always a price.

Bloom’s dragon fire consumes her from the inside, leaving lightning-like tissues of scars along her limbs - be careful, rumbles the Great Dragon from within, don’t let your emotions consume you. Bloom wails from the pain and clutches whoever is in the vicinity - but cannot fully stop it. just prevent it or treat the aftermath.

Musa gets migraines. Stella becomes ill when she doesn’t get her daily dose of sunshine. Aisha’s senses get muddy sometimes, almost as if she’s submerged underwater. Nabu experiences uncontrollable tremors in his arms, when he creates too many of his phantoms. all of those are - yes, horrible to experience but manageable enough for the school (and the Magic community at large) to tell them to just suck it up and weather through.

once you get your enchantix though, you start developing… unique abilities. almost like, in achieving the final fairy form, you became one with your brand of magic.

Bloom starts producing smoke. Like - she snorts at something funny Riven or Sky say, and literal puffs of smoke emerge from her nose. It’s jarring at first (“Bloom Peters, when did you start smoking? do you know that it kills??”) but quickly becomes endearing once they realise it’s not life-threatening in any way (after speed-running through like fifteen Magix apothecaries). Among her other ‘oddities’: too hot to cuddle with (only Stella can stand the high temperature, since she has a resistance to heat), becomes strangely overprotective and a little possessive, her eyes sometimes become a startling orange hue as if she’s embodied by the great dragon himself (it’s just a party trick).

Stella becomes more ethereal. In certain lights, her skin looks translucent - like a mirage weaved with moonlight. Her hair glints in the sun, almost too bright to like at; her touch feels phantom-like. She becomes even more beautiful, but less - human, earth-bound, Stella-esque. A curse and a blessing, that one.

Musa’s hearing gets really fucking good. She has a steadily growing dossier of blackmail on every student in Alfea - simply because shut doors or longer distances are no longer obstacles for her. It’s annoying too, because she can’t exactly turn it off - and now she gets to hear all the things people say about her, behind her. but here’s a consolation - she can influence other creature’s emotions through the melodies she hums! like how in canon, she pacified the bird Roc and brought mirth to the arguing fairies.

Flora gets much sturdier. Her skin harder than bark; her body able to withstand thirst and hunger for much longer than the rest. It’s honestly so intimidating. Here’s this sweet young woman — known to cry for trampled flowers and cut weeds!! — absolutely bodying a sharp ass ice shard that Icy attacked her with. It just — crumbles upon colliding with Flora’s body. insane and frankly so so hot for others to see.

As per the negatives… I like the idea of Flora being able to connect to the memories of nature around her and literally absorb the pain/fear/anguish of whatever she witnessed.

Aisha and Bloom are similar, in a sense that both of them are vessels to primordial divinities of their universe — Bloom is the holder of the Dragon Flame, and Aisha is the child of the Infinite Ocean. therefore, both experience a more extreme transformation than their girl friends. like, Aisha’s dreams are infiltrated by visions of past and future; memories of those who were lost to the Ocean. she dreams of Politea, of Tritanus, of her mer cousins and ancestors, and even those who were not yet born. if Aisha was not so mentally wilful, she might’ve folded under the weight of those prophesies.

Aisha can also breathe under water and her body gets the musculature it needs to be on par with her mer cousins while swimming, because why the fuck not?

Tecna - I frankly have no ideas for and would love to hear suggestions!

we know that bretons are (for lack of a better term) half-elves, is there lore anywhere that supports inter breeding between the two beasts races, or beast races with men or mer?

Between Khajiit and Argonians? I don't recall any examples tbh. The various fur stock of Khajiit have some super human/elf like Khajiit and barring any sort of magical limitations placed on their biology, I'd be surprised if say a Bosmer and an Ohmes Raht couldn't have an offspring. Especially since Khajiit themselves (may) originally have been elves which were magically transformed into their purry kitty cat form.

This point doesn't get brought up as much in these discussions but Saint Alessia (human) had a kid with Morihaus (bull like humanoid guy who was the son of Kyne).

That kid became the ancestor of all Minotaurs, so that's an entire race which originated between a human and a "beast" person. Morihaus was a demi god so maybe the rules didn't apply to his "seed" so to speak, but it seems plausible that beast races and men/mer *could* interbreed.

Inktober jour 5 !

Cette fois j'ai pioché sur le #Kroztober2024 , le thème Waven !

C'est un peu compliqué car c'est le futur de nos ocs, rien n'est sûr et que ça dépend des futures infos officielles du lore

J'ai même une bd de commencée qui n'a rien à voir où Harebourg les rencontre en prison en guise de chantage pour le faire parler 😁 Evangelyne aurait retrouvé le demi-dieu en mer, et refuse de le relâcher pour ses crimes commis.

Une chose est sûre, nos OCs vont avoir de gros soucis avant la grande Vague à cause d'Harebourg, reste à voir qui survit avec séquelles, qui se fait réincarner, qui perd la mémoire, etc etc....

Pirate/mer au.

Based on the skins from the Mermaid Vs Pirate Pheatival.

Here's what I got so far:

Medkit and Subspace used to be a part of the same crew before the incident .

The crystals work differently, Medkit's crystals allow mer's to shift into a more "human" form (idk what else to call it, all characters are still inphernals/demons just some of them be fish), they get legs but still keep the fins and stuff, and Subspace's poison water sources.

Medkit joined Scythe's crew after the incident along with Broker and the other true eye dudes, he doesn't really wanna be there but at least it's not Subspace.

Subspace's crew is a little funny, Biografts in this au would be more like reanimated skeletons with little to no emotion so there's just a bunch of them, along with Hyperlaser who is still a mercenary that Subspace hires.

Vinesplash and Shurifin are mer's that Subspace's crew are hunting as Shuri got hold of one of med's crystals and Sub wants it.

Skateboard, Coil, Boombox, Slingshot and two OCs of mine are their own crew that end up meeting Vine and Shuri and they decide to help them out. Partially because Coil also has a crystal like Shuri but he stole it from Subspace so they're being hunted too, Coil is a mer too but he likes his funky pirate friends so he usually stays in "human" form (also he is shark mer because yes).

More about the OCs, Rainbow is a thief and vandal that knew Coil and Skateboard before they became pirates, she is usually on look out because her gear allows her to fly. She ends up getting really close with Vinesplash and talks with her a lot when they aren't dealing with Subspace or supernatural stuff.

Hook is a Biograft made from discarded bones that got mashed together like some kind of Frankenstein's monster but a skeleton. Unlike most Biografts they are sentient and capable of empathy.

The SFOTH are still deities, some of them are mer's but some are kinda just the same. They will sometimes intervene with mortals either for fun or for their own benefit. Though sometimes they will help mortals out of kindness (it's usually Icedagger, he's probably the most chill with mortals).

Darkheart stays at the bottom of the ocean most of the time but will sometimes surface to scare mortals.

Firebrand lives on an island with an active volcano, sometimes he gives directions to lost ships.

Illumina lives in the clouds and watches mortals, he doesn't really like getting involved much.

Windforce causes storms for fun, if she likes a crew she'll make the journey quicker for them with stronger winds and promises not to send a storm their way in the future.

Venomshank lives in an underwater cave, he still trains Sword in this au (who is also a mer). The water around his cave is toxic so only he can enter and exit, he trains Sword elsewhere so he doesn't get sick or die from the poison.

Ghostwalker is still a Grim reaper type, not much changes for him. Though I like the idea that he runs an underworld similar to the one in greek mythology. Hades codes dude.

Icedagger lives in frozen waters, he makes sure that icebergs don't sink any ships passing by.

Valk, Dom and Banhammer are demi-deities that will also get involved with mortals from time to time. Ban usually hunts pirates and sinks their ships while Valk and Dom would bestow blessings on crews they like, usually so that Ban doesn't drown them.

That's all I got so far, sorry it's long as hell lol.

Mais le bourdonnement ne vous inquiète pas plus que les nombreuses fleurs qui poussent en plein hiver, les animaux étrangers que vous apercevez en forêt ou encore ce nuage qui semble en permanence suivre votre voisin d'en face... Parce qu'arriver ici c'est embrasser l'étrangeté de l'île, accepter que les règles du normal ne cessent de se tordre, au plus grand plaisir des habitants loufoques de ce lopin de terre aux allures fantastiques...

Gambas rôties sauce Américaine

Ingrédients pour 2 personnes

3 gambas géantes (soit 1 et demi par personne ici), 1 c à s d'huile d'olive au cédrat, 20g de beurre demi-sel, 1 bouchon de cognac ( ou de rhum brun), huile neutre type pépin de raisins ou tournesol (pour la mayonnaise), 1 jaune d'oeuf, 1 c à c de moutarde de Dijon, 1 échalote, 1 c à s d'huile d'olive nature, 1 petite boite de concentré de tomate, un petit bouquet de persil plat, fleur de sel, sel et poivre du moulin

Lavez et séchez au papier absorbant vos gambas 

Posez vos crevettes sur une planche. En partant du dos, incisez depuis la tête et coupez au couteau tout le long du corps sans couper complètement vos crevettes. Écartez vos crustacés en deux et retirez l'intestin 

Préchauffez le four à 180°C

Disposez les crevettes sur une plaque de four, badigeonnez les gambas avec l'huile d'olive et poivrez-les. Répartissez des copeaux de beurres fins sur la chaire des crevettes et enfournez 15 à 20 minutes

Pendant ce temps préparez la sauce américain. Épluchez, lavez et émincez l'échalote puis faites la revenir dans l'huile d'olive sans la colorer, salez et poivrez. Ajoutez le concentré de tomate; mélangez et faites caraméliser le tout légèrement. Hors du feu versez le cognac et flambez l'alcool, réservez.

Montez une mayonnaise minute avec le jaune d'oeuf, la moutarde et l'huile neutre au fouet

Ajoutez la sauce tomate flambée à la mayonnaise. Lavez et ciselez le persil et ajoutez-le à la sauce

Sortez les gambas du four, saupoudrez-les de fleur de sel et servez-les bien chaud avec la sauce américaine

My baby boy is so precious omggg

- I really didn't change a lot from the og design tbh, I love him. I did give him rounder and bigger eye for that cute puppy-eyed look.

- Stuck some freckles on him and gave him a tooth gap for max cutie patootie status. Oh, and some scars from previous assassination attempts.

- I'm really partial to Kalim and Ruggie or Kalim and Silver personally (or both, Kaiplim does have two hands for a reason) but I see them as a little friend group regardless and he LOVES spoiling them.

- Ruggie at first befriended him for the money aspect but eventually grew to like being around Kalim anyways. Silver just likes to listen to Kalim talk. Was also his first friend outside of Diasomnia.

- Kalim has ADHD and dyslexia, making it super hard for him to concentrate in class so Ruggie helps him study for tests (Kalim always bring food along with so it's mutually beneficial lmao). Because of this, people end up thinking he's dumb but he's super intelligent, he just can't concentrate easily. Crewel lets him have different fidgets in class as long as he doesn't accidentally disrupt his potion-making with them.

- Kalim's also highly empathetic and view himself as a support to all (maybe I am a Kalim kin too, fuck). He loves to listen to other and help out. God, he's such a cutie omg. Also has really good memory in specific about remembering who tells him what.

God I love Kalim so much, the cutie patootie. Still on Book 4 so I don't know ALL of the shit that happens yet but y'know it's gonna make me cry.

(he/it) Agender - Gay Demi-romantic Asexual

If I didn't think I changed a lot about Kalim, I changed practically nothing about Jamil lol.

- Biggest change was giving him a much redder skin tone. Not only is it closer to Jafar's, I felt it would look really nice with his general colour palette.

- Made his face a bit more angular and 'snake-like', plus some fangs but you can't see them lmao. Dimples because every time this man actually smiles, a new angel is born istg.

- I love him and Azul as a dynamic because it's two really emotionally constipated people dancing around each with a fun amount of delulu on Azul's part, let's be honest. Lowkey could be toxic or healing, who knows?

- He purposefully cooks too much some times as an excuse to give some away. I see him slides over an extra thing of food to Azul at some point as a sort of 'repayment' for like give him the homework or something. (Azul loves his cooking but wouldn't say that to his face for a hundred dollars lol).

- He and Trey cook together and Trey is like the only other person Jamil trusts in the kitchen with him. Trey teaches Jamil his family's baking recipes and in turn, Jamil share his cultural recipes. Trey 🤝 Jamil solidarity.

- Hella competitive streak which means Azul and Floyd find it incredibly easy to push his buttons.

- I know this is a lot of AshenViper but I love them lol. Azul tries to flirt with Jamil subtly like in the mer fashion of penguin-pebbling but Jamil is obviously unaware of the custom so he doesn't get it. (He does keep all the little shiny things, though over his dead body would he tell Azul that.)

Enough about my two favourite dumbasses... now for my ocs!

Third Year - (she/her) Nonbinary - Sapphic Asexual

God, this is just the dorm for asexuals, huh?

- Dareen is twisted from the Cave of Wonders! I could not for the life of me tell what kind of cat it was so she's kinds ambiguous, especially since there's already another tiger.

- She is a very knowledgeable person and knows pretty much everyone. If you need information about someone you wanna ask out, she's your girl. She love playing matchmaker but respects when someone is not reciprocating and helps the rejected party move on.

- She and Oki are friends and like to do tarot readings together. (She may or may not have a massive crush on her but refuses to say anything lol). Both are very interested in cultural practices and hang out a ton to talk about them. (God I love sapphics)

- She's actually also on the basketball team and she and Jamil get along pretty well. She's very fast on the courts and Oki attends all of her games.

Third Year - (they/it/she) Genderfluid - Aromantic Bisexual

- Twisted from Shan Yu, from Mulan! I kept the greyer undertones in her skin which really makes her standout among the warmer ones lol.

- Kept the gold eyes, I love how piercing they look, and darker makeup. Turned the furs into little earring tassel things, idk just for fun.

- Definitely outdoorsy type, she loves to hike around a ton, bring some other classmen out with her. She comes from a hella cold climate so she's wearing shorts until it hits the negatives. Loves horseback riding too and her family has their own stables.

- Natural leader, I can see it being the captain of a sports team, maybe like cross-country or something. She and Leona are probably pretty similar in demeanour as captains, make of that what you will.

- Her and Rook do archery practise together and she actually gets along great with Epel, they bond over winter sports and whatnot.

Time for probably one of my favourites out of my ocs!

God I love her sm.

- Twisted from Shere Khan from the Jungle Book, which I looked up and it takes place in India so she's Indian.

- I didn't want to give her solid orange hair so I settled for some streaks and I love how they look. Gave her a bindi, some thicker brows based on a Pinterest reference that I though was GORGEOUS, and some beautiful hazel eyes.

- She's also likes to be outside but more in the lazy cat way. She love to sunbathe and tends to be spotted around the greenhouse too. Chanda and Leona having cat solidarity lmaoooo. Though her behavior is solely because she's a cat and not depression lol.

- I dunno why but I think she's a totally history nerd, specifically fashion history. Ask her anything about the origins of corsets or sarees and she's go on a long rant about it. She loving drawing, namely fashion sketches and she and Vil work together whenever she makes some prototypes.

- Kinda takes after Jamil and enjoys cooking, one of the primary people that makes food for the parties. She and Kalim get along really well since they're both really social extraverts.

- She's loves flowers and tends to decorate the dorm with them, changing them out when there's an event coming up.

Loka is an Octavinelle student who is based of Undertow, he is childhood friends with the leech twins and azul, though because he is a tiger shark mer he often just headbutt's their chests out of affection unless its Azul. he bites Azul because he is taller than him (although shorter than most of the twst cast? at 5''6) he often eats anything and everything (RIP his stomach Octavinelle are pretty sure its made out of steel at this point)
