This entire bs wouldnt be a problem if people weren't assumed Christian/muslim/hindu/...etc at birth and were allows to declare whatever deit or holydays they needed.
it's so wild when people complain about religious inclusion like "oh so you think THEY should get special privileges/accommodations to do x, y, or z??"
and the things they're talking about are like. exceptions to rules or norms that in themselves shouldn't exist. yes Richard, we actually should have diverse meal options at work events to accommodate people with different diets. yes, people should be allowed to take time off to be with their family during whatever holidays or life events they so choose. yes, people should be able to wear clothing that makes them comfortable. nobody should be happy about these restrictions existing. stop bitching about the singular jewish or muslim person in your workplace and realize that everyone deserves better.

Hello! May I request Italy, Spain, American, Germany, and/or Denmark with a plus sized soulmate or girlfriend(Whichever you feel most comfortable writing)?
This is so cute!
Genreal notes: Like always, I write on mobile, so I apologize for any weird spelling mistakes.
I left Denmark out of this because I really need to revisit his character.
Warning: Mention of stereotypes. Nothing fully written but like possiable mindsets are there. Nations are old, and it can be hard to unlearn things.
♡ America
1. America thinks plus sized people are hot. He is almost plus size himself, so why wouldn't he find it attractive in others?
2. there is only one thing he would comment about your weight, and that is his sweaters and hoodies are not super sized on you. He fixes that by going out and buying bigger hoodies.
3. If any other nation comments about your weight, he will punch them :)
4. America is very aware that fat rolls can get funky smells if not cared for correctly. He has anything and everything you might want for your hygiene.
Don't like what he has? He will go buy new products for you.
5. America ways tries his best to make to make sure you feel happy in your body no matter your size.
♡ Germany
1. I think he would worry about your health a lot. It doesn’t matter if you are a little chubby or one of the largest plus sizes you can be. He worries.
He would be just as worried if you were underweight. Maybe a little more.
2. He does a lot of research on healthy deit plans to make sure you are meeting all your intake goals. It is through this research that he learns he eats way too much bread and cheese.
3. If he ever sees you feeling down about your body, he'll try his best to make you feel better... just know he is kinda bad at saying the right things.
4. He unlearns a lot of negative weight stereotypes through you.
5. He does love your chubby cheeks and belly. To him, they make too adorable for your own good. Especially when you wear traditional feminine clothing.
♡ Spain
1. Spain has always been underweight. Not so underweight it makes others truly worried about his health, but enough that comments have been made.
2. The differences in body weight is veeeerrrry noticeable, and he honestly loves it.
3. He will steal your hoodies to wear during siestas. They smell like you, the hoodies are huge on him, and they are made of soft fabric.
4. There might be a few harmful /out of date ideas that he will have to unlearn. For example, he assumes that you come from money because of your weight. If you are, let us say, a broke college student... Yeah, he will be shocked.
5. You are always getting clothing gifts from him. Spain wants to see you in every single sexy outfit he can think of.
♡ Italy
1. Italy will request to see you in minie shorts or mini dresses / skirts all the damn time. This man loves thick thighs and will never hide that fact.
2. While Italy is very lean nowadays, that hasn't always been the case. He likes to compare any stretch marks you might have to his own.
3. Just like Spain, Italy loves to steal your clothing. Listen, he feels so safe and loved when wrapped up in your hoodie.
4. About dies from hotness overload when you wear bikinis to the beach. Someone come save this man.
5. Honestly, he doesn't worry about your health all that much. Italy knows first hand you can be plus size while still eating healthy and working out.

So. After that post about crusades in fantasy, I just want to talk a little bit about my feelings about religion and the gods in Pathfinder specifically for a minute.
Firstly, I don’t actually like Iomedae as a goddess. I don’t object that she exists, you understand, but she wouldn’t be a goddess I would choose to play a follower of. That is less to do with Iomedae herself, though, and more with Aroden.
Because, see, I don’t mind that Iomedae is essentially the god of paladins. I don’t mind that she runs crusades against demons and necromancers. In a high fantasy setting like this, that’s what you have gods like Iomedae for. To fight demons. She’s doing her job, essentially. In case of demonic invasion, break glass. That’s why you have a war god or two in your back pocket for emergencies. I do not see, as I have explained exhaustively, the existence of demons in a fantasy setting and a god to fight them as any indication of real world religious opinion. These are genre conventions.
The god I do have an issue with is Aroden, the god of humanity, and his incredibly central role in the plot. Also Sarenrae, to a lesser extent, for similar reasons.
See. On the one hand, I do kind of get what story Aroden is aiming for. The human who becomes a god by his own courage and intelligence and strength, and who then goes on to sponsor humanity’s development and brings them out of the shadow of the telepathic Cthulhu monsters who secretly controlled them for so long. I get that.
The problem is that … Well, actually, it’s twofold.
The first problem is Aroden’s own background and behaviour, both before and after becoming a god. Aroden is the last surviving scion of the Azlanti Empire, Golarion’s equivalent of Atlantis, which was a vast techno-magical colonial power that had been ‘uplifted’, essentially, by the alghollthu, said Cthulhu monsters, to be better and more powerful than everything around them. The Azlanti had figured this out, and had planned to rise up against and destroy their ‘creators’, but the alghollthu saw this coming and dropped a fucking asteroid on them, destroying Azlant’s entire continent but also dropping the alghollthu themselves as well as the entire rest of the planet back to the stone age. Which … is fine, we can have fun with conspiracy theories here, I don’t object.
The problem is that Aroden, as the survivor, then goes to Azlant’s ex-colonies and attempts to do the same. To ‘uplift’ them, to keep Azlant’s culture and magical supremacy alive. Which. You do get. His culture just got literally vaporised, he wants to keep his homeland alive. But. He becomes immortal, he raises the Starstone, he becomes a god. And he then proceeds to become the patron deity of Azlant’s descendant empires. Taldor, in particular, the setting’s broadly Roman equivalent. He declares himself patron god of humanity as a species, and sets about trying to assert human supremacy. Taldor, as an empire, starts aggressively expanding pretty much immediately following this.
Aroden becomes, essentially, the god of colonialism? Species-based colonialism, at that.
Now. Sarenrae, as I mentioned, is doing pretty much the same thing over in the Empire of Kelesh, the setting’s Middle Eastern Muslim/Persian equivalent. The difference with Sarenrae, and the reason I don’t mind her quite so much, is that she’s not declaring herself humanity’s patron at the same time. So it’s less, you know. Race based.
If you are looking for the part of Pathfinder lore that does enter more problematic echoes-of-the-real-crusades territory, this is where you find it. The Mendevian crusades, despite the name, are mostly fine, they’re against an extraplanar threat. Taldor and Kelesh’s five thousand year war, on the other hand …
And even still, I might have not minded? Empires do this. Religions do this. I don’t necessarily mind the portrayal of a religious conflict between empires, even ones directly sponsored by a real deity. In this case, both empires are sponsored by a deity, and both deities are good. By alignment. Well, Aroden is actually lawful, not good, but basically neither of them have an evil alignment. So neither empire is especially vilified, at least not for their religion, they’re just … doing what empires do. Having a history like this as part of your fantasy world is not wrong, it’s good to explore that kind of history and verisimilitude.
The problem I have, the second part of the twofold problem above, is with Aroden. And specifically, Aroden’s role as patron of humanity.
Because Aroden is so central to Golarion’s lore. The death of prophecy, his death, is the defining event of the timeline. The entire Inner Sea region, the main setting until Pathfinder started branching out recently, is shaped by his actions. And they are broadly portrayed as … not necessarily right, but also not evil. Despite the fact that he is the scion of one human-supremacy empire and the sponsor of several others.
Humanity is considered kind of the rightfully dominant species of Golarion, at least of the surface world? The elves are from another world, the orcs, dwarves and goblins are all latecomers from underground, most other non-human species live in and around human civilisations. Most of the big historical non-human empires, like the serpent folk and the Ghol-gan, were explicitly evil, either initially or falling to evil over time, while humans, no matter how many empires we build, are more or less fine. Granted, Cheliax is a thing, so this is not one hundred percent. But, the thing is. Cheliax didn’t fall to devil worship until after Aroden died. So. We’re still here with Aroden as the rightful saviour and sponsor of humanity. And humanity, while following him, are the rightful inheritors of the world.
And it bugs me, because Aroden’s kind of a fucking dick? He’s a coloniser, originating from a colonising nation, and sponsoring others once he ascends to godhood. Now, again, Sarenrae, despite being of good alignment, also gets some of this, but Aroden being humanity’s patron, being a sponsor of colonialism on a racial/species level, gets me worse.
Now! Again. Something to consider here is that Pathfinder then explicitly killed him. Aroden is dead. And that is not a later decision, that was the initial event that kicked off Golarion as a setting in 1e. What does humanity do in a world where our sponsor god is abruptly dead. What do we do when our quite literal divine right up and fucking dies straight out of the gate. So Pathfinder is engaging with the problem. It’s just.
Aroden is so central. Humanity is so central. Even still, it’s not really questioned. Almost all the big movers and shakers are human, with the non-human ancestries kind of tacked on around the edges. And I do get it. The audience is human. A huge number of players, starting out, pick human as their ancestry, because it’s familiar. I do get it. But it does have some implications.
So yeah. Aroden is where Pathfinder’s worldbuilding around religion and species and morality bugs me. Not enough to write it off, it’s a fantastic setting, but yeah. It’s not perfect.
And Iomedae, unfortunately, despite the fact that she is mostly just doing her job, does get a bit of that by proxy as his inheritor.

Chocolate
Chocolate has long been important to Demon culture. In fact, it is one of the most important food in all of the realms for them. Just as the vanilla plant is essential to the Angel way of life, Demon society may have crumbled long ago without Chocolate.
In all demon myth, it was believed that the first demons were somehow given corruphis through the cocoa bean. It is believed that Lilith created a seed and planted it into the ground, and from it grew a cocoa tree. The roots would grow into veins of corruphites (corruphite metals) that would spread through the realms, and the beans would contain the purest form of corruphis. How demons would be created varies depending on one's belief. Maeics and Deites believe Lucifer was gifted a cacao husk containing seven beans, which he in turn fed to his seven children, which gave them their abilities and allowed them to grow horns. Evadaeics believe that Lilith seduced Lucifer and birthed a cacao husk containing seven beans which she planted and grew into their seven children.
Thus, it's believed that demon life began with the tree.
Demons would quickly become possessive of the plant and so it is very difficult to get one's hands on a seed if one is not a demon, allowing them to maintain control over such a valuable pillar.
Though cacao trees are naturally rather small for most of their lifespans, demons utilize celestis and agricultural techniques in order to have the trees grow much larger and produce massive "pods", as well as beans. A wild cacao pod doesn't grow very large, often capping around a foot, and only a fourth than in diameter. However, farmed cacao pods often grow to be 2 or 3 feet long, sometimes even bigger.
The highest amount of Cocorruphis is found when the beans are roasted, as heat expands all forms of Corruphis. This is why chocolate came to be and why Chocolate has come to be such an important staple of the Demon household.
All parts are combined with leviathan to create various forms of Rusalka, a sort of alcohol for demons.
The pods
The pod of the tree is what contains the most valuable part of the plant: the cocoa bean. However, it also contains the shell, husk, and pulp which are all valuable to demon culture at large.
The cocoa pod, in it's whole form, is incredibly valuable and often sold in communities of demons where they are unable to grow their own cocoa bean trees. As poverty continues to increase among demons, these communities continue to grow, as does demand for the cocoa pod.
It is often also broken down into each part, packaged, and sold separately. These are a major convenience, though they come at a higher price. However, it is far more common for businesses to grow their own trees when selling special processed skincare and making foods, or food supplies.
The high amount of corruphis can often cause an alchemical reaction where the pods grow as a solid corruphite, which are considered highly valuable and used to make ornate furniture pieces and broken into it's parts for jewelry and other things. The pulp will often be a liquid alchemical form of these corruphites. These are called cocorruphites and are highly valuable, though not as widely used as their corruphite forms.
More often, however, single beans of a pod can contain one of these corruphite pieces. These beans are often kept, though sold by farmers of the plant, and used for jewelry or decor.
All parts can also be used for magical engineering, alchemistry, and other magic and science purposes. The metal itself can be used in small mechanisms and has unique properties. The liquid metal is incredibly valuable to demon magic, as well as lunar engineering.
The tree
The cacao tree, much like a vanilla plant, is special in that it's corruphis is found in every part of the plant unlike other plants, such as Leviathans where Corruphis is only found in the root. This means that every single part of the plant is utilized in some way by demons and demonic industries. The cacao tree is one of the few plants to not contain Lusis and instead to have Corruphis contained within it. And of all the plants to contain Corruphis, it has the highest form of absorbable corruphis so far discovered. Not only this, but the corruphis contained within the Cacao tree is found to be far more absorbable than standard edible corruphis and so has been called Cocorruphis.
Demon families often will have a cacao tree that is passed down from generation to generation and often kept at the family home. These trees are very beloved by the families that own them and often very well taken care of. Seeds are also usually cultivated and given to the members who do not recieve the tree so that they are able to start their own tree. Every part of the tree is used by the family, including the wood as, in the case that a family must leave their home and tree is not uprooted but rather cut down. The seeds will be preserved and cultivated and used for their new home, and the wood is made into keepsakes, heirlooms, and/or even furniture depending on the size of the tree. These items are very important to the family. The most common items to be made from a cocoa tree's woods are kitchen and utility items that are alchemically cured and then sealed to last for eons as they are passed down from generation to generation. Cacao trees are often a symbol of resilience, safety, and resistance to demons.
As stated, every part of the cacao tree and subsequently the Cocoa Bean, as well, contains some amount of the hyperabsorbable corruphis known as cocorruphis. Unlike Vanilla, however, the way the cocorruphis is absorbed depends on the part of the tree, rather than the different species of tree, though the different species still have variance to them and therefore distinction and importance. For the beginning of the tree's history, only the beans were consumed. It wouldn't be until science and alchemistry became more advanced for demons that they started to learn the benefits and uses of the other parts of the tree, as well as all the parts of the husk and within.
I think I'm to the point in both stories and setting up that I'm ready to start trying to post more about my work
What would you guys personally like to see the most? (Answer honestly, I have nearly all on hand)
I set the poll for a week so I plan to reblog with example posts as I finish them/have time (I've got a decent amount this week)
*Comments are always the best way to specify what you have in mind but if that makes you nervous, feel free to send me an anon with your ideas and I will post them to this post. All of them, send a second one if you don't see me add it in a timely manner.
