Thank you for tagging me, @lynzishell! You are the best and I enjoyed reading about Atlas and Asher so much- their warmth and affection were so evident throughout the entire questionnaire! ❤️

For this I chose Sasha and Gideon. If anyone is interested in a different pair, I'd be glad to do it again!

Gideon: Oh, we’ve been invited to do a Deep Dive Questionnaire!

Sasha: No. It’s absurd.

Gideon: We were tagged by Asher and Atlas, though. They’re so nice!

Sasha:  Buuh…Fine.

-What common/uncommon fear do they have?

Gideon: Are you scared of anything, Sasha? You have to be one of the most fearless people I know. Who walks into a vampire coven meeting like you did? You are something else.

Sasha: When I was little, my mom took me to a petting zoo and bought me feeding pellets to give to the geese; they all kept crowding me and chasing me around this pond and I thought I was going to die.

Gideon: What did you do?

Sasha: I threw all the pellets at them and jumped into the pond.

Gideon: That’s actually very scary for a young child! Did your mother have to jump in after you?

Sasha: Nooo. The pond was pretty shallow.

Gideon...How old were you?

Sasha: Like 10.

Gideon: PFFFF!

Sasha: Shut up.

Gideon: You’re so dramatic.

Sasha: What about you?

Gideon: I fear... not ever having you by my side.

Sasha: [Turning red and burying his face in Gideon’s chest]

Do they have any pet peeves?

Gideon: Hmm...Probably people who are rude, especially in public. It’s not that hard to hold the door for people or say excuse me, or turn your blinker on before making a turn.

Sasha: OMG, when people sit down at a table and keep talking to each other and when I come over to take their order, they’re like, “Oh, I didn’t get a chance to look at the menu yet.” I’m like- there are FOUR things on the menu. Just order or I will choose your food for you!

Gideon: You also dislike bad tippers.

Sasha: If I get another religious tract as a tip, someone is going to be meeting their lord sooner than they expected.

What are 3 items you can find in their bedroom?

Sasha: We bought a bunch of stuff recently! We got a sofa bed and a fridge... What's one more thing?

Gideon: What about Mrs. Kachky?

Sasha: She goes where I go. She’s the only thing I have left of my mom’s.

Gideon: I'm feeling a little jealous. I think she gets more cuddles than I do...

Sasha: Awww! I’ll let you cuddle her too.

Gideon: [Inhaling deeply] I’m throwing you back into that pond.

What do they notice first in a person?

Gideon: Appearances can be deceiving. I’m more interested in seeing how people treat those they perceive as being beneath them. People often behave badly when they have any kind of power.

Sasha: I was raised in the Spice District! You think we make eye contact with people while walking around here? You keep walking- mind your business.

Gideon: Let’s combine the next two questions because I think they’re related.

On a scale of 1-10, how high is their pain tolerance?  And -do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure?

Gideon: I was a soldier when I was mortal and as a vampire, I’ve endured my share of attempts on my unlife: I’ve been stabbed, beaten, and I’ve escaped more than one attempt to burn me into ashes. I assess a situation before fighting. I won’t necessarily run if the odds are stacked heavily against me, but I may try to explore an alternative. I’d say I have a high tolerance. A 9.

Sasha: Me too.

Gideon: [Squinting and shaking his head]

Sasha: Okay, but in my defense that comb snagged my hair really hard- I didn’t expect that. Let’s say a 7.

Gideon: Or a 4... It’s ironic, because you won’t run from a fight. Even if you know you’ll get beaten up. It’s very paradoxical.

Sasha: In Sparta, we die like men!

Gideon: [Rolls his eyes].

Do they come from a big family/are they a family person?

Gideon: My coven is my family, and it is a fairly large one. I think I’ve been somewhat absent and disconnected from them for a while now. I do miss that closeness we shared over the decades.

Sasha: Nope. It was my mom and my dad and me. After she died, I was pretty much on my own. My dad and I haven't spoken in years.

[Gideon reaches for his hand and clasps it tightly.]

Gideon: I'm always here for you, Sasha. You're not alone.

What animal represents them best?

Gideon: [Laughs]

Sasha: PASS!

What is a smell that they dislike?

Sasha: Depending on where you are walking in this city, every once in a while you’ll catch a whiff of weed that’s just skunky-ass bad. Or pee. Or trash water on the sidewalk.

Gideon: Garlic.

Have they broken any bones? if so, how?

Gideon: Oof...I’ve broken a few. I used to ride horses when I was a soldier and had my share of bad falls.

Sasha: I broke my arm falling off a jungle gym. I was in first or second grade. It wasn’t too bad. All my friends drew on my cast and then my arm was super stinky when the cast came off.

How would a stranger likely describe them?

Sasha: Gideon? Sophisticated. And...Suede.

Gideon: Suede?

Sasha: Yeah! You know, someone like super confident and elegant...

Gideon: Did you mean...suave?

Sasha: ...Wut?

Gideon: [Quickly] Sasha is completely and devastatingly adorable and endearing.

Are they a night owl or a morning bird?

Gideon: I don’t need much sleep, but I find myself keeping hours similar to Sasha’s now.

Sasha: I stay up late when I work at the diner.

What is a flavor they hate and a flavor they love?

Sasha: This man loves the flavor of his fancy-pants whiskey.

Gideon: You forgot my favorite one: you.

Sasha: Stop it...And you hated Twizzlers.

Gideon: Why someone would eat a rope of twisted wax is beyond me. You hate fine whiskey- I'll never forget “liquid leather”. But you love junk food, which baffles me. Have some Styrofoam instead- at least it doesn't pretend to be real food.

Sasha: Heh! I got you some Tootsie Rolls and Necco candy... Can't wait to see you try those...

Do they have any hobbies?

Gideon: I love the arts. I frequented the theatre, museums, and concert halls often. I'd love to take Sasha with me sometime.

Sasha: I like walking around the city. There is always something interesting or new to see. Oh, and piling stuff into the hall closet so the contents fall down on Dima when he opens it. He falls for it. Every. Time.

Boom, surprise birthday party! how do they react to surprises?

Sasha and Gideon look at each other: No.

Sasha: Let’s say what we hate about surprise parties at the count of three. Ready? 1...2...3!

Gideon: Surprises.

Sasha: People.

Do they like to wear jewelry? if so, what is their favorite piece?

Gideon: I don’t really wear anything except for my Rolex Daytona.

Sasha: F*ck. How am I supposed to follow that? A few pizza-shaped earrings from Claire’s? They were super cute, though. Oh, and a friendship bracelet Tito made me a couple years ago. It broke off but I still have it somewhere.

Do they have neat or messy handwriting?

Sasha: Have you seen his writing? It’s like he signed the Declaration of Independence. Mine is barely legible.  

What are two emotions they feel the most?

Gideon: I sense many of Sasha’s emotions, but I don’t want to put him on the spot.

Sasha: I do feel anxious and upset a lot.

Gideon: My emotions would be frustration and...Hmm...

Sasha: Horniness.

Gideon [Stares in mock surprise as Sasha snickers]

Do they have a favorite fabric?

Gideon: I like linen. It has an elegant simplicity that is timeless.

Sasha: I like flannel.

Gideon: [Playfully] Not suede?

Sasha: Oh, haha, you dick.

What kind of accent do they have?

Sasha: Do I even have an accent?

Gideon: You sound like you’re from San Myshuno. No doubt. What about me?

Sasha: You do have a pretty neutral accent, but every once in a while you’ll sound like you’re from Henford-on-Bagley.

Gideon: Well, it was more likely to hear Simlish from Henford since it is closer to where I hail from.

Sasha, imitating Gideon very hammily: Say, old chap, do you fancy a tipple of liquid leather with some freshly harvested Cheetos? No, wait- Cheeee-tooows!

What uncommon/common fear do they have?

Leona has a very obvious and self-confessed fear of commitment. She told James from the get-go that whatever they may have, it would never be an actual relationship. Since he didn't want that either, it was all good.

Do they have any pet peeves?

Leona is sensitive to noise, so overly present sounds irritate her. Like when people chew their food loudly or breathe heavily or a malfunctioning appliance that keeps clicking or whatever.

What are 3 items you can find in their bedroom?

Headphones, ballet shoes and hairbands (to quickly tie her hair in a bun when dancing).

What do they notice first in a person?

Sincerity. Or lack thereof. Leona is very perceptive. Cut the bullshit.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how high is their pain tolerance?

8/9. The girl is made of steel.

Do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure?

Are you kidding me? Leona is an obvious fighter.

Do they come from a big family/are they a family person?

Family is a farce as far as Leona is concerned. She comes from a very broken home which she left at 16 and never looked back. Marriage? Kids? Nope, not for her.

What animal represents them best?

Black panther: graceful, always in black and with a mighty roar.

What is a smell that they dislike?

Unwashed clothing, towels, sheets, etc. Ew.

Have they broken any bones?

Yes, she's been hurt as a child. We'll leave it at that.

How would a stranger likely describe them?

Closed off, loner.

Are they a night owl or a morning bird?

Definite night owl.

What is a flavour they hate and a flavour they love?

Leona likes savoury and salty things. She prefers that over sweetness.

Do they have any hobbies?

Dancing, but that's not just her hobby. It's her passion, her calling, her drive, her goal. She also loves yoga and meditation.

Boom, surprise birthday party! How do they react to surprises?

Nope. No way. Get out. Surprises are not a happy thing in Leona's book. She needs to stay in control, and surprises usually require relinquishing control. So no, she'll pass, thank you.

Do they like to wear jewellery?

Not particularly. She does, sometimes, but jewellery often hinders her movement when she dances.

Do they have neat or messy handwriting?

What are the two emotions they feel the most?

Leona blocks emotions, and she knows that's not healthy, which is why she's getting therapy now.

I don't know about accent, but Leona's voice is kind, yet her words can be sharp.

We're going with Ricky Kronbach for this one because he's freshest on the mind and I really need to finish cleaning up the next chapter of Driving Through Tunnels.

What is something you want to do more than anything else in the world, but can't, and why?

You have to be at level 50 or above to get any deep, personal lore outta me so I'll hit you with a basic answer: design dark rides at Anaheim. Y'know, live the whole Imagineer lifestyle. The one thing standing in my way is that I fucking hate California... and my university having blacklisted me from pursuing any further engineering degrees. Frankly an over-reaction given that one guy had it coming.

2) Say you have to move to another planet. Which one are you moving to and why?

Acheron. It's technically a moon but I'm counting it because it's capable of hosting life. Why? I don't fucking know, but teenage me would've given anything to have been flipped off by Sigourney Weaver. Xenomorphs might be a problem but it's a problem I am willing to put up with.

3) How do you make grilled cheese?

I'm lactose intolerant. But the last time I made one was for my brother, and I put a slice of Velveeta between two slices of stale bread, smashed it until it was thin enough to fit into the toaster and then set it to 6 because Jeremy liked them crispy. I might have over-crisped it and almost set our house on fire.

2. does your oc have a driver's license? can they drive/operate any automobiles/machinery besides cars? Yes! Levi got his license at 16 but had driven cars and even the RV before, with help of his mother or mother’s shitty boyfriends

3. does your oc like traveling, or do they consider themselves a more homey person? Levi is a traveling nomad! He loooooves to see the world, and explore everything it has to offer

4. what are three of your oc's favorite hobbies? Cooking, Gardening and Singing

5. does your oc have any piercings? do they want any (more) piercings? He has angel fangs, a single ear piercing and a nostril hoop! He’s pretty comfy with what he currently has.

6. does your oc have any tattoos? do they want any (more) tattoos? Not currently but later I may have Levi get Remi’s paw print tattooed on his hip :>

9. does your oc have any physical and/or mental disabilities? Winter time brings out joint pain in Levi’s leg, which can cause a limp for him, and sometimes his fingers freeze up after having shattered them trying to keep Remi from biting his tongue off during a seizure.

11. what type of music does your oc like? do they listen to music very often? Levi loves all kinds of music he has a wide range of taste, he just hates Country music. His mother liked country music and it tends to remind him of her. So he chooses to avoid it if he can.

12. share three random facts about your oc that others may not know.: Uhhhhh

Levi really loves the movie “Charlie and the Chocolate factory” with Johnny Depp

Levi has a large collection of custom Remi stuffies.

Levi hates popcorn.

13. is your oc a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? how are their sleeping habits? It depends how tired Levi is. If he is exhausted he is definitely a heavy sleeper. Otherwise, his cat like senses relatively keep him from missing much in the night.

14. can your oc swim? do they enjoy swimming? Levi can swim! He isn’t super fond of the water, if he could choose to sit back and enjoy the views? He would much prefer, however, he does love a good hot tub.

15. does your oc know how to use any weapons? No he’s more of a hands on kind of guy, he will usually shift to use his natural weapons

16. does your oc know cpr? do they have any other medical expertise? Nope! But he does know how to stop bleeding, help with seizures, use narcan, and tend to general wounds. He also isn’t a stranger to natural medicines.

He loves to drink and smoke 😩 he’s a little party animal deep down inside but it brings out a different side to him, and makes him make bad decisions so he tries to just stick to smoking regularly and drinking on special occasions.

21. does your oc prefer a wide circle of friends or a few close friends? Levi is an extrovert and rather social, he loves to make tons of friends but only sticks close to a select few.

Levi was born in Limerick, Ireland 🇮🇪 the poorest city in the country. They moved to a few different areas in Ireland, before they moved to the United States to escape the impoverished violence within their neighborhoods.

Took a very nice questionnaire for FL OCs. A couple of new details in addition: ✦ Deep inside, the Grosmeister is terribly tired of always striving to be in control of everything as a chessmaster. Becoming the Nostalgist’s obedient shadow is a sweet respite. ✦ The Nocturnal Nostalgist’s first days at the Royal Beth were hard. She didn’t leave the room, refused to eat and spent them in terrified expectation of Bedlam’s allegedly cruel treatment, believing the hospitality and luxury to be lulling illusions, and of new nightmares now that she was trapped in their domain. The Manager had to visit her personally, bringing enticing treats to save her from self-inflicted starvation and trying to build trust. Wasn’t long before his own need of confiding in someone started to break through too. ✦ As a man of logic whose mind is his pride and weapon, the Grosmeister is afraid of insanity. He must hide his fears and weaknesses, so he never shows it, but it’s always there. Anyone who knows his true ambitions would call them madness, and it worries him. Is the Great Game driving him insane with all its incomprehensibly intricate plots, memory-eroding irrigo and endless calculations of possible moves that he tries to always keep in his thoughts? Or has it already? It’s a part of why he cares for the Nostalgist. BUILD: She got some muscle in her arms and legs from her defensive training and she stays in shape with some workouts at the local gym and nightly dancing at the local cantina. 

HAIR: long, soft, and honey blond. Her hair comes down just past her shoulders. She wears it in either a high ponytail or a perfect bun while working. It’s usually worn down or in a loose and messy ponytail at home. She usually curls it a little and either leaves it down or pinning it up with some flashy hair pins before going out for a night of dancing. 

SKIN: White. Smooth and soft with some rough areas around her scars and calloused hands.  

EYES: Honey brown like fine whiskey. They’re always sharp and focused while working a case behind her glasses. They light up like a wildfire when she’s angry and full of emotion. Long eyelashes.

MOUTH: Small mouth with thin lips. Slightly crooked teeth lightly stained with coffee.

NOSE: Little, rounded, and a bit crooked on the bridge. Small but cavernous nostrils.

CLOTHES: A mix of business casual and sultry nightlife. Her work wardrobe mostly consists of suits, jeans, and riding jackets. She has a collection of backless evening dresses comfortable enough to dance in with a lot of high heels. There’s also quite a bit of leather, knee high boots, and concealed corsets and harnesses for her knives and guns.

DIET: She either eats a lot of junk food or nothing at all...there is no in between. Her favorite foods are spicy chicken wings, chilli dogs, pancakes, and belgian waffles. There are times that she forgets to eat while working on a case.  

SLEEP: She has an erratic sleep schedule. Some days, she’ll stay up really late and only get a few hours of sleep before work while on other days she passes out super early on the couch. She pulls a lot of all nighters if she’s working on a difficult case. Doesn’t dream much, but she does suffer from the occasional nightmare of past traumatic events such as her father’s death and a scaring case from her past.

EXERCISE: She works out at the local gym and at home, but her favorite form of exercise is dancing on the weekends.

ACTIVITY: She’s a hard worker...sometimes too hard. She’s been known to work herself into exhaustion on occasion. 

CLEANLINESS: She bathes regularly, showers in the morning and hot baths at night if she needs to relax. She takes special care of her feet and hair.

GOALS: To serve and protect the people of Red Grave to the best of her ability.

INSECURITIES: She’s very insecure about the huge scar on her chest, which is why she never wears anything that shows her cleavage. No one knows about this since she’s so damn good at hiding her feelings. The only time it comes to light is when she’s intimate with a partner, but even then she just insists on wearing something to cover her chest. Her partner can still see and touch her anywhere if her demands are met. 

ACHIEVEMENTS: She was very proud when she got her badge and when she got her promotion to detective.

ANXIETY: Sharp objects near her eyes really freaks her out. And being around demons still makes her a little uneasy.

OVERWHELMED: She has a pretty high threshold for stress, but the dam has been known to break when it gets to be too much at the same time.

SELF-HELP: She says that she deals with her life problems, but it’s more like she brushes them off until she has to deal with it in order to move on once it becomes inconvenient. 

COMFORTS: Drawing, dancing, and eating breakfast food.

BAD HABITS: She taps her fingers a lot and even bites her drawing pencils at times.

PHILOSOPHY: She’s not very religious, especially after all the things she’s seen and experienced in Red Grave. But what she does believe in is that everyone deserves justice tempered with common sense.

TRIGGERS: The screeching of demons and malicious laughter.

The Past

PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Both of her parents divorced when she was very young. She was mostly raised by her father while growing up. She loved her father very much, so when he died in the middle of a gunfight she was utterly devastated. She had to move in with her alcoholic mother soon after, constantly bickering and dodging stray vodka bottles until she was old enough to leave. Her relationship with her mother hasn’t gotten any better since then.

SCHOOL: She always got the highest grades in her class. She was teased for having a “trashy bitch” as her mother by fellow classmates, but one punch to the face and groin of one bully soon put a stop to that until she graduated. 

ADOLESCENCE: Going through puberty was really rough for her since that was about the time of her father’s death. 

LEAVING HOME: She hated leaving her father’s home in Red Grave, but she celebrated leaving her mother’s home to pursue a career as a detective just like her father.

FURTHER EDUCATION: She went to a prestigious university for police training and to study criminal justice. 

FIRST JOB: She did a bunch of odd jobs before moving out of her mother’s house, mostly food delivery and front desk clerk for a local mechanic.

LIFE EVENTS: Watching her father get shot multiple times definitely solidified her decision to become a detective at a young age. Getting her badge and promotion was a very proud day for her. Almost dying at the hands of a malicious demon while working a case still affects her to this day.

WORST DAY OF THEIR LIFE: The day her father died.

BEST DAY OF THEIR LIFE: She finally found her place in the world beside her devilish partner.

LESSONS: Life isn’t always a basket of rainbows and sunshine; sometimes it’s just hell in a handbasket disguised as the most wonderful dream. Humans will always put up a fight even when it seems hopeless. Always get the whole picture before putting your pencil to paper.

LOOKING BACK: If Mira could re-play her life and do something differently, it would be to not call out her father’s name that fateful day...maybe if he hadn't of turned around he would’ve seen one of the shadowy figures pointing a gun at him. Maybe he would’ve lived if he hadn't just looked away at just the wrong moment.

Relationships

FAMILY: After her father died and she moved out of her mother’s clutches, she just accepts that she has no more family to speak of.

FRIENDSHIPS: A couple of her co-workers can be considered close friends. She values honesty in friendship, but finds it hard to open up about her feelings even among long time friends.

FRIENDS IN NEED: She’s a really good listener so she helps by hearing a friend out while they rant and rave their troubles to her. She’ll only offer advice when asked, and if it’s a subject that makes her feel uncomfortable...well, she tends to just stay silent and hope that it ends soon enough.

NEEDING A FRIEND: She’s always relied on herself so it doesn’t even cross her mind to seek help. She’d much rather just deal with her problems on her own, which makes the few friends she does have worry about her from time to time.

ANNOYANCES: She’s very easily annoyed if you know exactly what really grinds her gears. And if an argument or disagreement starts, she won’t back down unless proven wrong or she just gets way too angry and needs to leave to let off some steam. 

ROMANCE: She’s never really wooed anyone in a  romantic sense...she’s very up front and to the point, so if she intends to take someone to her bed then she’ll spell it out in big bold letters. She’s attracted to people who aren’t afraid to let her know a piece of their mind and respect her privacy.

MARITAL PROBLEMS: She’s not married, but there would probably be a lot of bickering and some fights that end with some sort of compromise.

ADVERSARIES: She doesn’t tolerate narrow mindedness and duplicity among friends.

ENEMIES: Anyone who harms innocent civilians and uses trickery for their own selfish gain will be seen as an enemy in her eyes. 

STRANGERS: She’s respectful of strangers since that comes part of the job, but she has no problem sharing a piece of her mind if they’re rude.

FUN STUFF: She likes to hang out at the local cantina for some good food, margaritas, and some salsa dancing.

DATING: She would just like to do what she normally does with friends...just in a more intimate setting with just her and her romantic partner. She also wouldn’t mind staying home, cooking a meal, and eating together on the couch while watching old movies. 

BEST FRIEND: To be determined.

LOVE: If she’s ever honest with her feelings...her devilish partner will forever always have her heart.

WORST ENEMY: Right now, whoever is behind the current string of murderers and disappearances is number on her list of worst enemies. The one criminal who got away is second for now.

RESPECT: She will never respect any enemies that pull innocent civilians into harm's way for selfish gain. 

Interactions

MINGLING: She’s not much of a mingler and she’s terrible at making new friends.

COMFORT LEVELS: She’s somewhat comfortable talking to people, but doesn’t go out of her way to to do so unless it’s for a case. The only time she’s uncomfortable is when they invade her personal space.

PHYSICAL: She’s not touchy-feely at all. The closest she’ll ever get to close contact is handshakes, shoving her elbow into someone that’s annoying her, and the occasional pat on the shoulder and arm.

GROUPS: She does okay in a big group, but she’s more than likely sulking in the corner listening to various conversations. It’s only when she’s hanging out with a small group of people that she can feel truly relaxed.

OPENNESS: She’s definitely not an open book...more like an angry bee buzzing around in an airtight jar. And even if you manage to crack the lid open you still gotta deal with one pissed off bee! But if someone’s able to withstand her sting then she’ll gradually open to them.

GENEROSITY: She’ll buy gifts for close friends for their birthday and holidays. And she would be willing to lend money to a friend if so long as it’s for an important and responsible reason. She always tells everyone that they don’t need to get her anything, but it secretly warms her heart anytime she receives a gift.  

JEALOUSY: She’s not prone to jealousy unless it has something to do with her job, such as someone seeing a clue she should’ve seen first, which just pushes her to do better. When it comes to romantic jealousy, she will do one of two things: she’ll either pretend that it doesn’t bother her while asking a lot of questions OR she’ll straight confront her partner about it with just a tad of anger within her voice.

TEMPER: She has one helluva temper! But it only comes out if you know juuuust the right buttons to press. And she tends to keep a lid on her temper while working unless it will help get a lead that will help the case.

EMPATHY: She’s able to empathise with people despite living a hard life, and her training as a detective sharpened this to a fine point since it sometimes helps to think like a killer. She’s always careful about what to say as long as she isn’t in the middle of an angry tirade.  

AFFECTION: She doesn’t show affection in the typical way; sometimes she’ll give a little sketch on a napkin or a full on drawing. Other times, she’ll bring some takeout from their favorite place along with their preferred booze of choice. And as for physical displays of affection, she likes to lean her on their shoulder or chest, maybe some light hand holding if she’s comfortable around them.

DISTASTE: She’ll outright tell someone she dislikes them to their face. But if she REALLY doesn’t like someone, she’ll dig up some dirt on them and casually pull it out the next time they get on her nerves.

ETIQUETTE: She can come off as rude and inappropriate at times thanks to her upfront attitude, but she tries really hard to reign it in during certain situations.

RESPONSIBILITY: If she’s proven to be wrong then she will not only own up to her mistakes, but she’ll also try her hardest to correct it. 

SELF ESTEEM: She’ll not only stick up for herself...she’ll straight up fire back! Being bullied in school has toughened her up and her skin has only grown thicker since then. 

CONFIDENCE: She doesn’t give a damn what people think about her.

HONESTY: She always speaks her mind honestly at all times. But while working she’ll keep some thoughts private if she thinks it will lead to a break in the case.

LEADER OR FOLLOWER: She’s a leader through and through.

PARTY TRICKS: She’s pretty decent at speed drawing and she can tie a cherry stem into a knot, sometimes two knots if it’s long enough, using only her tongue.

PRAISE: It depends on who is giving her the compliment that determines her reaction. If it’s her superior complimenting her on a job well done, then she’ll accept it graciously but move onto the case. But if it’s someone in a more intimate setting giving her a compliment, she’ll still accept it but feel very strange about...almost as if she really enjoys it even though she doesn’t think she deserves the praise.

FAILURES: Some people don’t appreciate her abrasive attitude and her terrible temper hasn’t made her much friends in the past.

CRITICISM: She can handle criticism, but she has a tendency to beat herself up over it if it’s related to work.

INSULTS: It depends on who’s insulting her. She’ll launch into a full on yelling match at some, but then roll her eyes and just fire back with her own insult at others.

EMBARRASSMENT: It takes a lot for her to feel embarrassed. But when it does happen, she tries really hard to hide it behind her stoic expression. The tips of her ears and front of her chest turn bright red when she’s embarrassed.

FLIRTING: She’s not verbally flirty, but her body does all the talking while dancing. 

ATTENTION SPAN: She’s great at multitasking and can hold her concentration for a very long time. She’s not easily distracted either.

SITUATIONS: She’s not good at dealing with difficult social situations, mostly because her first instinct is to start yelling. 

Life

CAREER: Detective for the Red Grave City P.D. She’s one of the best in her department and she finds her job very fulfilling with every case she solves.

PROMOTION: She’s happy where she is at the moment, but sometimes she feels like she could do more, which always leads to the idea about leaving the force to become a private detective just like her father.

BOSS: The superior she reports to was her partner before he got the promotion, so they have a pretty good relationship. 

DUTY: Solves crimes and brings criminals to justice whenever possible.

TECH: She’s great with modern technology.

POLITICS: Not very political.

COMBAT SKILLS: Has basic training in hand-to-hand self defence and has precise aim with her gun. She’s also not afraid to whip out one of her many hidden knives if ever disarmed.

HOME: She lives in a one bedroom flat near downtown Red Grave. It’s kept very clean and neat in some areas like the kitchen, but the one corner of the living room that serves as her work area is an organized mess of pencils, drawings, and crime scene photographs. Sparsely decorated with only a few personal touches here and there, such as a display case that holds her father’s custom gun.

DAILY LIFE: Goes through with the day-to-day tasks in a calm and orderly fashion most of the time. There are some days where stress gets the better of her, but some greasy food and a couple of margaritas help get her back on track.

INDEPENDENCE: Very independent ever since her father died.

COOKING: She’s a decent cook, only knowing a handful of recipes handed down to her from her father. Her specialty is spicy chicken wings, pan pizza, and pancakes.

BUILDING: She inherited her father’s toolbox and uses it for basic DIY around her flat since she hates waiting up for maintenance. She’s also a decent mechanic, which comes in handy when her motorcycle needs a tune up. And she knows a little about sewing, mostly just to fix her various riding jackets.

CLEANING: She tries to keep her flat clean, especially the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. But sometimes her job distracts her from doing her chores for days at a time.

SHOPPING: She doesn’t mind shopping, but it’s not something she looks forward to. She usually buys what she can online just so she doesn’t have to go out. She’s a sensible shopper and isn’t prone to impulsive buying unless it’s for a special occasion. 

DRIVING: She built her own custom motorcycle and drives around on it all the time.

FINANCES: She’s financially stable and pays her bills on time. She also has a tidy sum in her savings since she rarely splurges in anything besides food and drinks.

MARRIAGE: Not married and doesn’t really see marriage in her future. 

KIDS: No kids and doesn’t want kids.

PETS: No pets but wouldn’t mind getting one if she ever moves into a bigger flat.

DEPENDANTS: No.

LAW: The police got involved when she punched a bully’s lights out in high school, but no one pressed charges against her. Not much trouble with the law after that. 

COURT: She had to go there numerous times to sort out some legal issues with her mother.

PRISON: No.

TRAVELLING: She hasn’t been on holiday since college, and every time someone brings it up she just shrugs and says that her job doesn’t allow breaks. But she wouldn’t mind traveling somewhere for a time, drawing some new scenery and clear her thoughts before getting back to work.

MEDICAL: She goes to the doctor and dentist when she has to, but avoids the eye doctor like the plague...especially if the check up involves sharp objects near her eyes.

ILLNESS: She has PTSD.

WORRIES: She worries about difficult cases from time to time, wondering if she’ll solve it before more lives are lost.

PEACE: She doesn’t mind peace and quiet, but she’s gotten good at filtering out distracting noise whenever she’s concentrating on drawing or just pondering about theories. She listens to rock music while cooking though.

PARTYING: She loves to go dancing at the local cantina with a couple of her coworkers on the weekends. But she sometimes stays in if she wants to be alone with her thoughts.

HOBBIES: Her job as a police sketch artist before her promotion to detective has now become an enjoyable hobby. She also likes to collect knives and hide them in various places all over her person as well as her flat. And she’s been known to tinker with her motorcycle and find ways to make it run smoother.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (source) A common type of talk therapy (psychotherapy aimed at helping you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way. MD researchers currently recommend CBT to address problematic daydreaming behavior.

Compulsive Fantasy (source) Coined by researchers in one paper which asserted that Compulsive Fantasy was  a more accurate description of subjects experience than Maladaptive Daydreaming.  See also Maladaptive Daydreaming, Daydreaming Disorder (MD)

Coping Skill/Strategy/Mechanism (source) To invest one’s own conscious effort to solve personal and interpersonal problems, in order to try to master, minimize or tolerate stress and conflict. Can be adaptive or maladaptive.

[Daydream] Crash (source) When a person comes down from their daydream world or escapism and reality hits them.  Alternatively, when daydreams no longer have the same effect they used to, and the MDer has to prolong that good feeling by revisiting their escapism or face negative experiences associated with facing reality.

Default Mode Network (source) A group of brain regions that show lower levels of activity when we are engaged in a particular task like paying attention, but higher levels of activity when we are awake and not involved in any specific mental exercise. It is during these times that we might be daydreaming.

Diminished Motivation (citation needed) Characterized by impairment in goal-directed behavior, thought, and emotion.

Dissociative Absorption (citation needed) A tendency to become absorbed in imagination or in an external stimulus to the point of obliviousness to one’s surroundings and reduced self-awareness. 

Distress (source) Occurs when we have excessive adaptive demands placed upon us; the demands upon us are so great that they lead to bodily and mental damage. Distress is damaging, excessive or pathogenic (disease producing) stress.  Required for a ‘diagnosis’ of MD. 

Faceclaim (source) A term used in role play games to describe a person used for the physical description of a character. Some MDers note that they used the faces of TV characters, actors or public figures to create their fantasies.

Fantasy (source) May be an elected pastime; elaborate and continuous, composed of pure imagination and directed at self-amusement, pleasure, distraction and escape.

Fantasy Prone Personality FPP (source) A unique constellation of personality traits and experiences that coalesced around a deep, profound and long-standing involvement in fantasy and imagination.

Hedonic Reversal (source) An enjoyment of negative sensations and feelings thought to be possible in the context of feeling safe and reflecting pleasure at mind over body.  MDers report actively seeking the experience of aversive emotions. See also benign masochism

Idealized-Self (source) An Idealized version of yourself created out of what you have learned from your life experiences, the demands of society, and what you admire in your role models.

International Consortium for Maladaptive Daydreaming Research (source) Website designed to promote scientific knowledge on MD by fostering studies on the developmental trajectories, phenomenology, psychopathology, brain function and treatment of MD. Also to understand the trait of immersive daydreaming, the non-pathological form of absorptive daydreaming, and its psychological and brain features.

Immersive Daydreaming (source) Fantasizing in a state of dissociative absorption, which is not inherently disordered or maladaptive. MD represents a subset of Immersive Daydreaming.

Kinesthetic Activity (source) Movement which stimulates or prolongs an MDer’s fantasy state.

Maladaptive [Behavior] (source) Actions or tendencies that don't allow an individual to adjust well to certain situations. Typically disruptive and dysfunctional behaviors can range from mild to severe in scope, used as a means of reducing mental discomfort and anxiety but are not effective and can sometimes make it worse.

Maladaptive Daydreaming Scale MDS-16 (source) A 16-item self-report MD questionnaire that is rated on a 10-point Likert scale presented as percentages, designed to gauge abnormal fantasizing. 

Mind Wandering (source) A shift in attention that can occur without explicit or deliberate intention but which nonetheless incorporates goal-relevant internal information. 

Mindfulness (source)  A state of active, open attention on the present. MD researchers recommend mindfulness techniques to curb problematic daydreaming behavior. 

Original Character OC (source) Any character which is not infringing on a person or party’s copyright; a character who is not already in existence or an edit of an already existing character. 

Pace/Pacer (source) Walk at a steady and consistent speed, especially back and forth and as an expression of one's anxiety or annoyance. Most common movement among MDers, other movements include jumping, swinging, hand movements etc. See also kinesthetic movement, stereotypic movement.

Para (source) Any character in a paracosm, typically one the MDer has an emotional attachment to.

Paracosm (source) A detailed imaginary world, often originating in childhood.  

Parame (source) The character one MDs as. May or may not also be the paraself.

Para(girlfriend/husband/brother/mother etc) (source)The girlfriend/husband/brother/mother etc of ones parame.

Paraself (source) The daydream version of the MDer’s self.

Reality Monitoring/Testing (source)  The psychotherapeutic function by which the objective or real world and one's relationship to it are reflected on and evaluated by the observer. MDers retain intact reality monitoring and can easily distinguish fantasy from reality.

Self Diagnosed (source) the diagnosis of one's own health problems, usually without direction or assistance from a physician. MD is not recognized as an official disorder, most MDers are self-diagnosed. 

Somer, Eli (source) The clinical psychologist who discovered MD and coined the term “maladaptive daydreaming”, director of the ICMDR. 

Stereotypic Movement (source) Repetitive, nonfunctional, motor behavior that markedly interferes with normal activities or results in bodily injury.

Thank you very much! I’m glad you enjoyed my questionnaires. Unfortunately, I wrote them when I was deep into DA hyperfocus, and I don’t know when/if I’ll ever be that interested again to write new ones or finish the ones I started and abandoned

However, there is already a DA companion meme out there! I believe this is the source for it, so you can use that to help flesh out your ocs! There are little links that lead to other parts of the inquisitor companion meme in the original post as well.

I have a slightly more detailed version in my notes that I used for my inquisitor and warden (which I never finished and posted lol) so I’m adding that under the cut if the extra questions are any helpful. I’m keeping my answers in because some of the questions are little vague, so hopefully the answers help with how I intended them to be answered. Feel free to delete them to use for yourself, or use the shorter original one in the link!

How they are recruited:

After being snubbed by the templars at Val Royeaux, a cutscene with Josephine is available where she can speak of gaining more allies, specifically with non-human species (since the Chantry/humans are pretty much non-communicative). She’ll mention that a Dalish clan near the Emerald Graves has offered to meet with Inquisition forces and discuss possible benefits of an alliance. If the Inquisitor is Dalish, they will have the option of learning they are the Athevera clan, one of the largest Dalish clans in Fereldan/Orlais, and one of relative renown—their Keeper tends to lead the Arlathvhen,and mainly decides where the next one will be held.

Show interest in this option and the war table operation to unlock a special area will appear. It will take 2 power to complete with Connections. Fast travel there, and you will be immediately ambushed by local human soldiers—while the Dalish waited for the meeting, it seems the humans decided to drive them off, killing some in the process. Phaedre is the only one still alive, and the Inquisitor helps kill/drive off the human forces.

Afterwards, a cutscene will ensue with Phaedre introducing herself. She was part of the welcome group that was to escort the Inquisitor to the clan’s location to discuss alliance terms, but now that the humans have acted up it is very likely the clan has packed up and moved. Phaedre thanks the Inquisitor for helping her and with varying levels of enthusiasm will offer her services to the Inquisition, both as a mage and as a connection to the largest Dalish clan in Orlais (she will wholeheartedly help if the Inquisitor is Dalish, be neutral if the Inquisitor is dwarven, and be reluctant if the Inquisitor is human/Qunari, though this may be nullified if the Inquisitor is a mage—this enthusiasm level will determine her starting approval rate). If the Inquisitor agrees, Phaedre will join as a companion.

Where they are in Haven:

In Josephine’s office, next to Minaeve. If the Inquisitor waits, idle banter will sometimes appear where Phaedre speaks to Minaeve, either asking her about Minaeve’s research or arguing with her about the Dalish.

Where they are in Skyhold:

In the secret library beneath the war room, near the kitchens.

Things they Generally Approve of:

Asking for her input on anything will generally yield approval, as well as asking about Dalish history and/or magic. Showing support for mage freedom will garner great approval, as well as choices that help the helpless, even if (or especially if) it means the Inquisitor must give up something (ie charity, or taking on quests that do not have to be done). Being lenient in judgments and showing interest in learning new things/history will also gain her approval (ie, accepting quests that involve magic/rune gathering, reading certain codexes, etc.).

Things they Generally Disapprove of:

Supporting Templars/the Circle in any way, expressing hatred/fear of magic or mages, being harsh in judgment or refusing to help civilians/be rude to them (she will disapprove if you walk away from conversations with civilians, so watch out for that), asking for her opinion on the matter and then ignoring her advice, expressing disinterest in her stories and history, expressing distaste of elven culture.

***Depending on race, Phaedre will automatically be at a certain approval level (similar to how Dorian’s approval is automatically changed depending on if you sided with mages or Templars). She automatically Greatly Approves if you are an elf, Approves if you are a Dwarf, Slightly Disapproves if you are Qunari, and Greatly Disapproves if you are a human. She will also Approve if you are a mage (so add that on to whatever approval and disapproval already gained). It’s pretty easy to build a good relationship with her as long as you’re pro-mage, though, so it’s not too much of a detriment.

Mages, Templars, Other?:

Super pro-mage. She’s very sympathetic to the cause, and believes that while there definitely needs to be a checks and balance system it’s basically a system of oppression and abuse under Templars/Chantry. She actively fears Templars and will avoid them in the beginning, which she can reveal through conversation to be because she once witnessed a Templar group brutalize their mage charges as a child. She believes magic is a gift, not a curse, and the way the Chantry teaches mages to view their magic and themselves is despicable.

Friends in the Inquisition:

Solas: Phaedre takes on a bit of a mentor-mentee relationship with Solas, and their banter generally consists of her peppering him with questions about the Fade and of his journeys there. Later on, she will express interest in learning how to walk in the Fade as he does, so she can learn more about her lost history. However, several banters will appear where Solas derides the Dalish, and depending on whether or not her personal quest was completed, Phaedre will either uncomfortably change the subject or argue with Solas on the point.

Sera: Phaedre and Sera are BEST FRIENDS due to Phaedre’s initial reluctance to make herself seem contrary, and their similar ages. Their banter will consist of references to pranks they’ve pulled, inside jokes, gushing over girls (mainly Cassandra) and general goofing off—if neither Sera nor Phaedre are romanced, it will be referenced that they may have slept together (if the Inquisitor’s friendship level gets beyond a certain point, they can ask about the encounter either at Haven or at Skyhold). However, after IHW/CotJ, banter will appear where Sera derides the Dalish, and (again, depending on status of personal quest) Phaedre will become uncomfortable/angry. This will spread over several banters (Phaedre will inevitably become angry and argue, regardless of personal quest), to the point where other companions will remark upon their “spat.” Eventually Phaedre will apologize and say that even if Sera doesn’t consider herself an elf Phaedre will always see her as a friend, but any romantic entanglement ends.

After this fight (or, alternatively, sometime after either Here Lies the Abyss or Wicked Eyes, whichever is completed first), Sera will start to comment on a hidden crush Phaedre has on a member of the Inquisition. Depending on the Inquisitor’s actions, the identity of the object of Phaedre’s admiration will vary:

if the Inquisitor has flirted with Phaedre and either hard-locked or soft-locked into a romance, the “crush” will be the Inquisitor (which Phaedre will outright confirm to Sera once her personal quest is completed; otherwise, she will be close-lipped about it, saying she doesn’t know if “the interested party” is willing to advertise the flirting—the Inquisitor can make a comment during this banter)

if the Inquisitor has not romanced Phaedre and has not romanced Cullen, it will be Cullen (which Phaedre will be close-lipped and surly about, saying that she’s not sure “the other party is interested” and “even if they are interested, I’m not sure I want them to be interested”). Later, after both her and Cullen’s personal quests are completed, Sera will accuse Phaedre of having kissed Cullen, revealing him as the object of her affection

if the Inquisitor has romanced Cullen, the object of affection will turn out to be Cassandra (which Phaedre will not reveal, saying she knows “the other party is not interested”). Later banter with Sera and Cassandra will have Cassandra letting Phaedre down gently.

Varric: Varric outright compares Phaedre to Merrill (you’re like another Dalish I knew, but with less blood magic), and treats her in a similar manner—calling her “Dewdrop,” he often expresses worry over her battles and constantly invites her to play games of Wicked Grace to “get her out of those dusty tomes.” Unlike Merrill, Phaedre happily accepts the fatherly concern, allowing herself to be drawn out when asked to appease Varric. After her personal quest, she will thank Varric for looking out for her, but asks him to let her take a few steps on her own.

Cassandra: Early banter with Cassandra will reveal a puppy-crush on her, which may or may not blossom into full-blown infatuation. Cassandra will ask about Phaedre’s life as part of the Dalish, which will reveal more about Phaedre’s life not otherwise accessible; Phaedre will also compliment Cassandra’s ability as a warrior and her opinions on change (she very much approves that Cassandra is willing to see the innate corruption within the Templars and her willingness to admit that she’s wrong/change things). If Cassandra is chosen for Divine, Phaedre will offer to help Cassandra; Cassandra will then point out that Phaedre isn’t Andrastian, to which Phaedre will say “you don’t need to believe in the power to believe in good people.” Depending on the Inquisitor’s choices, post-game dialogue may reveal that Cassandra has taken her up on her offer and she will be leaving the Inquisition with Cassandra.

Several banters will also include arguments surrounding the Chantry and its purpose, as well as Templars.

Cole: She and Cole get along great. She constantly tries to decipher what Cole (and sometimes Solas) are saying, and other banter will reveal that she actively tries to help Cole with his “helping” people, which Cole appreciates.

She will, however, get rather uncomfortable when Cole tries to help her, though she’s pretty much used to people trying to help and protect her and therefore her reaction is very mild compared to others’.

Dorian: Phaedre and Dorian both get along well, though initially Phaedre is hostile to the “Vint.” She will often make references to Tevinter habit of slavery, and most of the early banter is her arguing with him about his stance on it (Solas, if in the party, will often have extra dialogue). Later banter will allude to the fact that Dorian was properly convinced about slavery, and the banter becomes much more friendly and lighthearted (if Sera is also in the party, she will contribute, alluding to the idea that Phaedre spends a lot of time with them and Varric).

Companions she doesn’t get along with:

Vivienne: While they don’t necessarily fight, Phaedre clearly acts uncomfortable around Vivienne, and Vivienne treats Phaedre like a child that is to be ignored or derided. After her personal quest, Phaedre will actively stand up to Vivienne and argue for mage rights, and during a particular cutscene they can be found discussing the issue on Vivienne’s balcony, where Vivienne will tell her that even if they never agree, Vivienne will always respect her articulate way of debating the matter.

If Vivienne is made Divine, Phaedre will express disapproval.

Iron Bull: Phaedre’s interactions with Iron Bull reveal she is rather intimidated by him and his bloodlust, and strongly disagrees with the importance of the Qun. Iron Bull, for his part, treats her like a little girl who can occasionally make things explode.

Later on, if Bull saves the Chargers they will become closer, as banter will reveal she has started to spend time with the Chargers and learned a few new tricks from Dalish, spending more time with Iron Bull as a result.

If Bull does not save the chargers and Phaedre’s personal quest is completed, Phaedre will actively tear down Iron Bull for his decision, and calls him despicable.

Blackwall: While she is always respectful of Blackwall, they are distant with each other. Their banter typically involves him giving her advice on how to better fight—she more or less treats him like an elder, but not one she is especially close to, though she does express admiration for his noble goals and purpose, and if asked on her opinion of him she will speak praise BEFORE it is revealed who he is. Blackwall, for his part, admires Phaedre’s dedication and kindhearted nature, and takes on a benevolent-uncle kind of relationship with her.

After he is revealed as Thom Rainier, she will say that she doesn’t know who he is anymore, and she cannot trust him to be a different person than he was before. Later he will say that he will show her he is different by earning back his honor as Rainier, to which Phaedre replies with a neutral “We’ll see about it, then.”

MISSIONS

Small side mission:

After moving to Skyhold and approval is around 35+, Phaedre will comment that there are various tomes missing from the Hidden Library that she cannot find anywhere. She and Solas have together looked (in the Fade) for the various possible locations of the tomes and asks the Inquisitor to keep an eye out for them. If she is present when one is discovered, she Approves; if all are discovered, she Greatly Approves at its completion.

·     War Table Missions:

There will be various war-table missions concerning Phaedre’s connections with various Dalish clans. Depending on who is used to complete them (generally anything but Forces), Phaedre will gain approval.

Companion quest:

After HLtA, a cutscene will occur the next time the Inquisitor tries to speak with Phaedre. Josephine will ask after Clan Athevera—though the war table missions involve connecting with various Dalish clans, none of them are her own, and Josephine wonders at their safety. Phaedre will be dodgy and walk away, and Josephine will go to the Inquisitor and express distress. If you ask Phaedre about it, she will say the clan is fine and not to bother them, but it will unlock the war table operation “Find Clan Athevera” regardless. Only Josephine can complete it, and doing so means gaining a letter asking to meet the Inquisitor, with Phaedre, to properly discuss an alliance—the entire letter is worded all shady and shit. When traveling there, Phaedre is a locked companion.

When they arrive, the Keeper of the clan is there to welcome you. She expresses happiness that Phaedre is safe and unharmed, and talks to Phaedre like she is a young child. She will tell the Inquisitor that Phaedre should not have been waiting to meet the Inquisitor with the hunter group, as it is too dangerous for her to leave the safety of the clan—she was never given permission to join the Inquisition, and as such was never working on behalf of the clan. Phaedre will attempt to interject at various points, and will be shot down by the Keeper. She then asks the Inquisitor to let Phaedre return home where she can be “safe and taken care of properly,” away from the dangers of the Inquisition. In return, they will send a new representative to deal with the Inquisition, and the true force of the clan will be utilized in the alliance.

Option 1: Tell Phaedre to return “home.” Phaedre will go back to the Keeper without complaint, and while very quiet seems to part with little ill will. New war table operations will appear, and a Dalish agent will be added for Josephine.

Sera and Solas Greatly Disapprove; Varric and Cassandra Disapprove; Cole Slightly Disapproves/Approves (depending on dialogue choices made); Vivienne Approves

Option 2: The Inquisitor insists Phaedre stay with the Inquisition, saying that Phaedre has been an invaluable asset. The Keeper will get angry and says that Phaedre is still too young and too inexperienced to make it on her own. The Inquisitor can either encourage Phaedre to talk the Keeper down or further the break by egging her on; either way, there is no alliance, and any unfinished War Table operations involving securing Dalish clan alliances will disappear.

Phaedre Approves, Sera Greatly Approves, Varric Approves, Cole Approves

Option 3: The Inquisitor insists that it’s Phaedre’s choice to make, not theirs. Phaedre tells the Keeper that while she loves them all and understands they are trying to protect her, she needs to make her own path now, and her past has begun to choke her. She respectfully asks to leave the clan to join the Inquisition permanently. With great reluctance, the Keeper will agree after seeing how Phaedre has grown, but will refuse to cut Phaedre off from the clan, telling her she is always able to return home if she needs to. New war table missions specifically concerning Clan Athevera appear, and Phaedre remains a companion.

Phaedre Greatly Approves, Sera Greatly Approves, Solas Approves, Varric Approves, Cole Approves

If the Inquisitor picks Options 2 or 3, a following scene back at Skyhold will ensue. Dialogue will slightly vary depending on if the Inquisitor defended Phaedre themselves or if they let Phaedre choose, but the main portion is the same. Phaedre defends the Keeper’s actions, saying that the clan is just looking out for what’s best for her. She tells the Inquisitor about the death of the clan’s old First—her best friend and future Bonded—and how his death essentially destroyed her for a long time, making her unable to really care for herself or make decisions. She states that joining the Inquisition was the first time in years she truly made a decision for herself, and it’s one that made her remember why she needs to stand up for what’s important. She decides it’s time for her to put aside her past and remember what’s truly vital about living. If the Inquisitor has flirted with Phaedre in the past and picks the romance option here (and approval is high enough), Phaedre will say that staying with the Inquisition was the best choice to make because it meant meeting them. A kiss scene will occur and the Inquisitor will be hard-locked into a relationship. Romance dialogue options will now be available.

Romance-specific quest:

After a romance is initiated, the Inquisitor can ask more about the clan’s old First, Ghandriel. They will learn the circumstances surrounding his death—he died protecting Phaedre from rogue mages escaping the Circle—and Phaedre will lament that because of the clan’s need to flee, she never retrieved the body or laid it to rest. This will unlock a war table operation to scout the area where Ghandriel died to find his remains—the mission is unsuccessful, but they do find the place where Ghandriel likely died. The Inquisitor can then take Phaedre to the clearing, where she will confirm it is where she watched Ghandriel fall. The Inquisitor will tell her that she can finally put Ghandriel’s soul to rest here, and they will help her create a small pyre to burn. A cutscene will occur where the Inquisitor witnesses Phaedre sing In Uthenerato small shrine that she built before lighting it on fire. Back at Skyhold, Phaedre will express a wish to have properly burned the remains, but feels that Ghandriel’s spirit may finally be at rest now—at least, she now feels more at peace with it.

ROMANCE

Romanceable?:

Yes, by any gender and any race. However, she will be easier to romance as an elf, a female, and/or a mage, as flirt options will gain more approval if you are a certain gender/race and there are extra dialogue options that will gain approval for certain races/classes.

Sexual/Racial Preference:

Phaedre is bisexual, with a stronger preference for women. She is highly wary of humans and prefers to date within her own species, but is amenable to advances from any race.

Nickname for PC:

“Arla,” meaning home.When asked what that means (or why ‘home’, if Dalish), she will respond that home is wherever her heart is.

Who is concerned about their relationship?

Vivienne expresses disapproval at starting up with a Dalish apostate, even if the Inquisitor is Dalish.

Varric will worry about Phaedre’s feelings, and tells the Inquisitor not to hurt her.

Sera threatens the Inquisitor to keep Phaedre happy or else.

Who supports the relationship?

Solas will offer congratulations to Phaedre about the relationship regardless of the gender/race of the Inquisitor, saying that a strong partnership will only help her, and that he’s noticed she’s been happier.

Blackwall will offer congratulations as well, but depending on whether or not his personal quest is completed, Phaedre will either respond positively or negatively.

Cassandra will make a comment on it, saying she’s happy to see Phaedre happy. Cassandra will allude to the fact that she knew about Phaedre’s infatuation, and is glad to see her with someone who can return her affections.

Sera will be sour about Phaedre not telling her immediately, but will later be enthusiastic, talking to Phaedre about possible pranks to pull on the Inquisitor.

Who had a bet running on it?

Sera and Dorian will have been trying to find out who Phaedre’s “crush” is, and will have willingly or unwillingly dragged various people and companions into the speculation. Regardless of who Phaedre actually holds affection for, Dorian will always choose wrong and Sera will always choose right.

How they react: They’re pretty excited. Actually walking in the Fade can lead to new and interesting information about magic.

Hawke or Warden: Phaedre is upset that anyone is left behind, but will Disapprove if Hawke is left—she got to know Hawke while they stayed at Skyhold and apparently looks up to them. Beyond that, she likes Hawke because Hawke is Varric’s friend.

As for a Warden, she will show varying levels of distress at their sacrifice; for Alistair, she will be very distraught, especially if Alistair is in a relationship with the Warden (she’s a romantic at heart—even more so if the warden is Mahariel). She will be sympathetic to Stroud, but she won’t show that much distress over Loghain’s departure, as she never really trusts him.

The Wardens

Their feelings: Her clan fought with the Dalish forces against the Blight, and while Phaedre herself was too young to fight she personally knew people who had to go up against Darkspawn (one of whom is revealed to be Ghandriel). As such, she has a healthy fear of Blights and believes Wardens to be necessary; it is one of her points of argument against Solas. The idea that Wardens can’t actually stop Blights once Archdemons are dead makes her very, very scared.

Exile or Allies?: Allies, though she expresses fear about the chance of the Wardens being corrupted again. She will not disapprove heavily if they are exiled, though she will express fear of the organization disappearing.

The Ball

How they feel:  Excited!!! There’s so much food!! So many pretty sights!!! A secret library!!! People always like talking to her, though the elves don’t seem very happy here, and that makes a her a bit upset—she will tell the Inquisitor afterwards that she helped them deliver certain messages while hanging about.

Where they linger: Near Cullen in the main ballroom. When asked, she says that she thinks it’s funny that Cullen is so uncomfortable, but ambient dialogue will show her intervening when Cullen gets too overwhelmed with people.

Are they good at the Game?: To the surprise of literally everyone in existence, Phaedre more or less accidentally masters the game. Her nature is so guileless it comes off as dissembling, and everyone more or less takes her polite, passive remarks as hints that she knows what they’re thinking. There is a chance to gain Court Approval during the mission by talking to Phaedre while she’s conversing with a noble—the noble will then make a comment about the Inquisition not being made up “completely of rustics” after all. (+5 Approval. It will only occur after returning to the ballroom after meeting Morrigan. It cannot be accessed after you leave the ballroom.)

What people say about them:

“The elf, the little one. What is that knife-ear playing at? I don’t even know what she’s thinking.”

“Oh she’s so very polite, for a knife-ear. She’s even nice to her own kind—how quaint.”

“I spoke to her for ten minutes and know nothing about her! She never seemed to say anything true—what is her game?”

Gaspard, Briala, or Celene?: For obvious reasons, Phaedre supports Briala and will Greatly Approve if you put her in charge. However, she will show a romantic streak and Approve if you reconcile Celene and Briala. She will Disapprove if Celene or Gaspard rule alone, believing them to be a threat to elves and the country at large. She will have no opinion of them working together, except that she doubts it will last too long.

Temple of Mythal

Rituals or Hole?: RITUALS. She will Greatly Disapprove if you bypass them.

Agree with the Elves’ bargain?: Agree. She will also have extra dialogue about learning Dalish history and culture if she’s brought to meet Abelas. She’s hurt by his dismissal, but will continually insist on helping the Temple elves as they go through.

Morrigan or Inquisitor for the Well?: As she’s a mage, she can be asked to drink from the Well herself. She’ll say she can’t say she’s not tempted, being an elf and all, but says that she isn’t really equipped to handle that kind of power, and will decline.

As she seems to heavily dislike Morrigan and her remarks about elven culture, Phaedre will Greatly Disapprove if she drinks from the well. She will Approve if you drink, though she will warn you that the effects of such knowledge may be detrimental.

s h o r t  b i o: born just outside carlsbad, texas on the PASC (the people awaiting the second coming) compound, Delilah was the first born of a Montana-bred highschool dropout and a chief enforcer for Pastor Walter Wallace Grimshaw. at fourteen, delilah alleged that the pastor was forcing young girls of his flock into “sacred marriages” to older men, claims which the local sheriff (noted for being a distance cousin of the pastor) said were unsubstantiated and owning to delilah’s own behavioral problems. a year later, after an altercation for pastor grimshaw, delilah disappeared from the compound and would not reemerge again until she was seventeen, now located in los angeles, and filed for emancipation from her parents—who were all too happy to sign the papers. officially ostracized by the community, delilah had virtually no communication with her family, including her younger sister Rachel. through manipulation, resume smudging and charisma, delilah eventually established herself as a top event planner at one of hollywood’s premiere firms until, over fourteen years since her mother had acknowledged her, she received a call from the hysteric woman begging her to “save her sister’s soul” from the “hands of the sinners” rachel had fallen into. unable to establish communication with her sister or the jessop family, other than one nasty phone call with a man named joseph seed, and unable simply drive into hope county and retrieve her sister, delilah did what she did best—lied, manipulated, and falsified herself enough get a position as a junior deputy with the hope county sheriff’s office. one week later, she went down into the valley with the us marshal to serve joseph seed his warrant and never left.

b e l i e f s: delilah views eden’s gate the same way she did PASC—it’s bullshit and just an excuse for joseph seed to get his rocks off. however, her loyalty is single-minded and assured so long as rachel refuses to leave.

⛪ j o s e p h: delilah wouldn’t piss on joseph if he caught fire and her loathing extends from a deep, traumatized part of her that is inherently suspicious of his relationship with rachel. but she keeps her head down and plays along at hosanna in the highest. she’s good at it.

📿 j o h n: it’s no secret anyone that delilah and john, closest in age and general temperament, screw. john’s inability to get a rise out of delilah has led to a near obsession, a wound delilah has no issues sinking her nails into. whatever relationship it is, it’s one defined by blood and teeth.

🕊️ f a i t h: delilah makes it no secret she’s here for her sister, who no longer answers to “rachel” but faith harbors a buried resentment at delilah for leaving the compound when they were young. as such their conversations and interactions are stilted and awkward, but delilah is uncompromising her dedication and love for her sister.j

⚰️ j a c o b: delilah runs circles around jacob and the few times they interact never ends well. out of all the seed siblings, jacob is strangely most often the recipient of her vitriol—perhaps because she sees something of her father in him.

b l i s s  e x p o s u r e / l e v e l  o f  i n d o c t r i n a t i o n : owning to her intense desire to control and faith’s protection, delilah has only been exposed to small amounts of bliss. she has ‘wrath’ tattooed across the small of her back and ‘lust’ carved into her hip, courtesy of john, and consent of the application is dubious at best. she’s been spared jacob’s conditioning at josephs command, who knew it would cause tension with faith.

FAR CRY 5 DEPUTY/OC QUESTIONNAIRE

1. Sylvester ‘Silva’ Omar

3. At home, Silva generally wears a long sleeve shored woven maxi dress or a wild lotus ruffle tiered maxi dress. Occasionally wears a red high neck. On the job, Silva wears a long sleeve deputy shirt and vest, with long pants and combat boots. Whether at home or work, Silva wears gloves. Red laced ones for home and typical dark coloured leather ones for work. During the Reaping though she ditched the deputy uniform and gets her own clothes. Long sleeved shirts with a coat, long pants with combat boots, and always with leather gloves.

4. Preferably ones easy to carry while on the run. Silva prefers a pistol and small blade.

5. Unsure if the question refers to this, but Silva typically drives a four-seated truck/ute.

6. When she first became a Junior Deputy, Silva saw it as a job of convenience. Subconsciously it appealed to her desire to protect.

7. Silva is conflicted. On one hand, Eden’s Gate is committing extreme and immoral acts. But on the other hand, she recognises that the Project believes their actions to be rooted with benevolent intentions. Additionally, Silva sees how accepting Eden’s Gate is to their members, making them feel like they belong, something Silva envies, as she had been deprived of such things for most of her life.

18. It’s like a bantering love-hate relationship. Both enjoy exchanging quips to one another, seeing who can get a rise out of the other first. Silva’s focused more on the fact he used to be a lawyer and annoying him with terms used in court, while John mostly chastises her wrath and criticises her decision to wear typical long-sleeved clothing during the warmer months. Silva dislikes his habit of impulsiveness and he dislikes her refusal to invoke the Power of Yes (also reclaiming Holland Valley’s property from the Project). John does have a level of respect towards Silva when he finds out she didn’t take part in stealing his home, and in fact was in defiance of such an action. Silva knows she hardly has the strongest morals, but even she considered stealing John’s home to be a dick move with no real advantage.

19. Faith is the only Seed that Silva genuinely gets along with (without the fear of death or violence). When Silva met one of Faith’s wandering hallucinations, and didn’t get shot at, Silva decided to interact with it. The interaction mostly started out as semi-polite and formal greetings, sometimes reprimanding one another’s actions, not really anything too deep or personal. Then Silva started asking sincere and curious questions about Eden’s Gate. And Faith was more than happy to answer them. Eventually this led to Silva often seeking out Faith’s wandering hallucinations to just talk with. Silva does set up boundaries on what she is willing to talk about and what she isn’t, with Faith doing the same. Neither speak of any confidential information from their respective sides. Both are respectful when either want to learn a bit about each other’s personal lives, and don’t pry any further when either one doesn’t want to talk about it. When she’s in the Bliss, Silva is often amused by Faith’s demeanour. Faith is a major influence on Silva’s decision to take a less destructive and violent approach towards Eden’s Gate. Faith is likely the closest to a friend Silva’s had in her time in Hope County.

20. Jacob isn’t someone Silva has strong feelings towards. But there is a mutual respect in each other’s skill and the fact both Jacob and Silva have served time in the military and survived impossible odds in Iraq and Afghanistan respectfully. Silva dislikes the Trials and conditioning Jacob puts her through, reminding her of unpleasant memories. Though both have recognised the Platter’s ‘Only You’ song seems to have a slightly different effect on her.

21. Pratt. He’s cocky and a prick.

22. Pastor Jerome. While Silva does keep a polite exterior, both of their religions are far too different for her to even consider building a friendship without an unnecessary amount of collision, especially since Silva is unnerved by the fact that for a pastor, he vocally expresses hatred towards Eden’s Gate, something that was abundantly prohibited for clerics to express (even towards their enemies) in Silva’s former community, les they lose their positions.

23. It’s not that Silva doesn’t get along with Tracey, it’s just the latter has a rather brash and stubborn personality. And since Silva is on friendly terms with Faith, it gets awkward and tenacious when Tracey talks shit about Faith.

24. Tammy. That women was ready to put Silva down the moment she was rescued. Not to mention, Tammy tortures prisoners till they die, which Silva cannot bear witness to for long in les she be taken down less than pleasant memories from Afghanistan.

26. She knew Joseph was telling the truth when he retold the prophecy of the Collapse, the same prophecy her own father had reiterated to Silva since childhood til he disowned her in her late teens. Silva understands Joseph believes what he’s doing is necessary but finds the methods too extreme. Bright side, Joseph acts as the paternal figure he claims to be, unlike Father Omar, whom Silva deeply resents for a multitude of justifiable reasons.
