⌜TASK 027: TEN YEARS OF WALTRP⌟
on june 5, 2013 waltrp opened its doors. it’s crazy to me to think about that. to commemorate a decade of our little space in the tumblr universe we’re doing a task ! it’s safe to say a lot has happened over these last ten years. so many character’s stories have been told, plots unfolded and events to be had. we’re on phase 2 !! which is so wild and there’s miles to go in our story. to celebrate all that the dash has seen over the years we’ve given a few prompts to fill out. talk about your favorite memories & moments, give some love & praise to your fellow members and just take a little moment to remember why we love this wild little group so much. ten years is not a small feat and i thank each and every one of you for being here and making this roleplay possible.

⌜TASK 026: LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED⌟
it’s february which means it’s the month of love ! for this task all month long we’re asking you to spread some love. your characters will be showing the special people in their life what they mean to them. are they getting flowers ? quality time ? are the spending the day at minine’s annual flower day festival or trying all the delicious heart shaped concoctions main street has to offer ? how they show love is up to you! this isn’t just romantic love it also extends to platonic and familial love which is just as important ! we’re also extending this task to ooc. we’re not just spreading love for our characters but fellow members as well.
here are also a few ways you can spread some love ic & ooc.
as we stated the annual flower festival & valentine’s day carnival will be happening during this month so lots of potential threads to be had there !
send a nice message to a character about why your character loves or appreciates them
call into THE RADIO ( which is back from the dead lmfao ) and dedicate a song to another member or character
send in some anonymous positive and loving messages to the CONFESSIONS BLOG about your favorite characters
create a graphic, playlist, edit, or post

plot with someone new, reach out to a character you haven’t threaded with yet
reblog some fun love & positivity themed memes, and make sure to send lots out as well
there is a form that can be filled out where you can take a moment to write positive things about other members. It can be as long or as short as you’d like it to be. It can be about how much you love a character they portray or about them as a person. that form can be found HERE.

⌜TASK 025: NEXT GEN⌟
an event that has been going strong since 2014 is our next gen event. while it isn’t as frequent as it used to be ( it’s now only two times a year ! ) it’s still a beloved event by members who love diving into the future and playing the children of our characters. it’s also a nice break between the drama that unfolds in the present. next gen is coming up shortly ! ( it will be announced in our september review ! ) to make members who have never taken part in the event feel more comfortable we’re creating this task ! older members this is also for you to deep dive into your next gen babies !

you DO NOT need to be in a ship to participate in next gen. you do not need a child to participate either. we accept independants ( think of it as an opportunity to create an oc ) as well as allowing our characters to just roam free childless ! for this task we’re asking you to fill out a questionnaire for your characters future self as well as their child ( or children. ) you’re also free to create edits or do other tasks to get to know your characters better, develop them and grow a stronger grasp on them for when nextgen rolls around.

when it comes to our characters we as admins ask you to think beyond the bio and cultivate a character that is your own. the bio is the foundation of who the character is but the beautiful thing about roleplaying is that we create beautiful stories and meaningful characters. for this task we’re asking you to create a list of headcanons you have for your character. Anything that you’ve come up with while roleplaying or while thinking about to your characters back-story, personality, etc. sometimes we don’t really get the chance to describe more of our characters personality, or who they are beyond the replies we post. this is your chance to show us what you’ve come up with and how you’ve made your character your own. relationships are important when it comes to character development. while we all love a good ship, relationships outside of romance are important for character development. For this task we’re asking you to showcase some of your character(s) relationships. we’re not going to totally exclude romantic ships from this task but what we’re really wanting to see is the friendships, family, enemies and everything else in between ! you can use moodboards, aesthetics, graphics or whatever you what to show what said relationship is all about. I know another task ! apologizes for throwing another one your way so soon ! plotting is a big part of roleplaying, it’s how we get stories rolling and have our characters relationship grow and develop - Except asking for connections can be a little awkward sometimes or we just don’t know what we want for our character. So, for this task we’re going to have you make a list of wanted connections you want for your character. From party buddies, exes, even childhood friends, the list of connections is endless. If you don’t have an idea of what you want Kiara and I would be more than happy to go on the hunt for a list of connections your character could have. As per usual this extends to 2gen. there’s a lot of fear and uncertainty in the world right now. right now more than ever we need to spread love and that’s what I want to do. i know we did a positivity task in the past and truly it was a very good thing. however, I wanted to bring that back since I think we all could use a pick me up ! to help spread love and positivity throughout the group by filling the dash with positive messages and posts ! like always, feel free to get creative with this !
