Phil Collins' Against All Odds is such a MasterGuide (Bain/Dallas) song, and you cannot convince me otherwise.

Bain and Dallas have been secretly meeting and, well, fell in love. Became fuck buddies. Take your pick. Most likely, they fell in love whilst desperately trying to hide that fact from one another - no no, this wasn't love, this was - this was two equally paranoid men helping each other out. They were friends with benefits.

Bain is the one who calls it off. He realises he can't watch Dallas go on heists anymore - not when he needs him. He needs him to survive and would do anything to ensure his survival - even if it meant leaving the rest of the crew behind, and Bain knew that wasn't right. It didn't sit right with him, at all.

That being said, it isn't easy on either of them. They both understand, sure. They both agree it's for the best and part amicably. Nevertheless...

Dallas knew he was in way too deep. Could he stop himself? Absolutely not. He'd been this way when he was in the mob, too - thinking he could do it all and failing spectacularly, crashing and burning into a chaotic mess where he nearly died, would have died - but the pain of being told it was over, it needed to end - he understood, agreed even - but he grieved the life he wanted them to have, knew they would never have - wanted Bain to see the agony on his face, knowing full-well he knew without needing to look - because they were that entwined.

And when Bain dies - well, it becomes even more tragic, doesn't it?

Dallas won't ever truly recover. A gaping hole has been torn into the fabric of his being, and he may stuff it with as much tear-stained wadding as he liked - but he would always be beyond repair - ripped - without Bain.

Things That Happened At Dallas Fan Expo- Panel and Epilogue

David and Catherine doing a panel together was such a wonderful surprise and it was lovely to see David be so unabashedly himself after how overwhelmed he seemed last night in autographs, complete with Refusing To Sit In Chairs Normally oh my goodness I can’t believe I got to see it live and in person 

If not everyone got to answer their questions it’s because the combined adhd energy from both David and Catherine was far too strong and resulted in them taking 5-10 minutes to  answer very simple questions and David oversharing quite a bit about his feet and stomach problems “I just want to share” why is he me

There was a very sweet girl who broke down in tears bc she’s from a small town and really wants to be an actor and David and Catherine have been really big inspirations for her it was so moving as someone in very much the same situation

Catherine gave an AMAZING speech about how being funny helped her empower herself against bullying 

Merlin and I were lucky to get early enough in line to ask questions, I asked about takin over the asylum which surprised him in a really good way, and Merlin asked what it’s like forming very strong and very temporary connections as an actor! We had to leave immediately to get on our flight, but it was such an excellent note to end the weekend on

We ALSO were two people behind Alex Kingston at the airport, I didn’t get to meet her at the con so I was like “I loved your panel! Your hair is amazing! My mom loved you in ER!” She obviously was in a hurry but she was sweet, smiled and said hi and stuff, which was nice considering she very easily could’ve just shot me a withering glare and I would’ve thanked her. She also let a woman in front of her in security. A+ very elegant lady

All in all quite possibly the most insane weekend of my life. Definite ups and downs but overall I met so many LOVELY people, got to meet everyone I really wanted to and they were all everything I could’ve ever hoped for- especially the boy ;) @elsinore-and-inverness

“Wow, look at you!”

I had the total pleasure of meeting David Tennant at Fan Expo Dallas this weekend, and it was a great opportunity to finish my Campbell Bain hoodie. The recognition on his face was delightful, and the next day I had the opportunity to give him a Campbell doll I made (in addition to getting his signature on a very silly Broadchurch meme collage).

Campbell as a character has been an absolute blessing to have around this year as I’ve navigated some unexpected mental health challenges, and getting to share my appreciation of Campbell with David Tennant was wonderful.

In all my Pokémon x Payday crossovers why tf have I never considered... gym leaders?

So the OG 4 would HAVE to be the Elite Four (with Houston never letting Hoxton about the time he was booted out in favour of him for a year or two). Dallas would have to be the last of the Elite 4 members.

The Champion, of course, would be Bain (version 1) or Shade (version 2).

I imagine Bain would have a lot of annoying setups. Think stealth rocks/poison barbs, hex setups, dream eater setups, toxic stall strats, minimize/double team, and absolute tanks in terms of HP (Blissey et al). He would have insane luck where one hit KO moves always seem to hit (Sheer Cold, Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill). He would make Cynthia look like a Bug Catcher in Viridian Forest.
