So, did I ever mentioned the fact Stygian had a band?

-Stygian is the vocalist, kinda obvious. Anyways I also gave him a grunt form, to not be recognized? Let's say the Empoyers are known at some extent.

-The G03LM is meant to be the drummer, I think I called him Cerberus. The reason is that I like the idea of some big guy in the group and I liked the edgy name (I like G03LM's in general tbh).

-The other grunt is the guitarist. I themed her based on Calandiva's flowers (and it was also her name), but in this new version she wears a Chrysanthemum and I don't really know how to name her now.

I'll be honest that I don't know much about band building, so excuse me if I got it wrong.

Which district would each assassin (including Haytham) be in the hunger games? What's their story? And which hunger games did they win? Was Altair the first winner in the 1st Hunger Games? Is Edward story similar to Haymitch's? Was Haytham born in the Capitol? I'm sorry! I'm genuinely interested in how this would go lol.

That really depends on what kind of idea what you want. For example, if this is meant to follow the beats of AC canon then Altaïr, Ezio and Ratonhnhaké:ton would be past winners that came from the same district as Desmond.

Unless you want a sorta screwed up ‘district tree’ where Ezio is from a different district who had an affair with someone from another district and that would lead to the Kenway bloodline while Altaïr is from the same district that would later ‘produce’ Desmond, his blood mixing with the Kenway blood later to ‘make’ Desmond.

Or if this is meant to be one big Hunger Games AU where the Assassins are alive (in a sense) and many of them are part of the Hunger Games then, on the top of my head…

Altaïr:

Winner of a previous Hunger Games, from District 2, known as the district that supplies the Capitol of its army, he has disappeared after winning and the rumors are he died (perhaps by his own hands). Reality is he was able to get into contact with District 13 and has looking for ways to take down the Hunger Games even though there have been a lot of ‘problems’ inside District 13 about how he’s not rational enough when it concerns the Hunger Games.

Ezio:

Tribute from District 8 (Textile and Clothing). He wants to protect his fellow tribute, Cristina, and is one of the more popular tributes because of his face and charm. They tried to use it by making him and Cristina ill-fated lovers. (similar to Peeta and Katniss but, in this one, they really are in love with one another). He’s so Katniss-coded, the reason why he’s the tribute is because he volunteered in place of his younger sickly brother. Federico would have volunteered as well but he was already ‘too old’.

Ratonhnhaké:ton:

Tribute from District 10 (Meat). His name was pulled from the lottery and he only learned of his parentage after it became part of his appeal. His mother was a past winner and the gossip is that she seduced Haytham Kenway. He gets angry with the idea that her mother would seduce someone to win (she didn’t, she and Haytham actually fell in love but she returned to her District because she couldn’t stand the Capitol no matter how much she loves Haytham). Edward coaching him together with the tributes of District 3 actually becomes a bit of a shock and a great deal of drama that the Capitol loves.

Desmond:

Tribute from District 2. His father pushed him into volunteering even if he didn’t want to. His ‘theme’ is Altaïr’s second coming because he bares a striking resemblance to the past winner and there are rumors that he may be Altaïr’s biological son or something. He’s not. He’s pretty sure his mother and Altaïr were like… distant cousins or something but the coaches and supporters are pushing for his ‘mysterious connection’ to Desmond to make him more ‘popular’. He has been trained to be a soldier since he was young and his friendly facade hides the fact that he had actually already killed someone before and felt nothing. His father believed winning the Hunger Games is something he can do and is the best way to protect him from becoming another soldier in the army… not that Desmond knows that.

Haytham:

He’s part of the Hunger Games ‘committee’, overseeing the entire ‘event’. He knows his son is a tribute but he promised the audience that he won’t help or hinder at all. It remains to be seen if this is true. He has never been part of the Hunger Games before and his view of the world is skewered by how he was raised in the Capitol. This is pretty much the main thing blocking any attempts to connect with his father. He sees Birch (who can be the President Snow of this AU) as his mentor.

Edward:

Past winner from District 4 (fishing). Won by killing his fellow tribute and best friend, Mary Read. He has nightmares of seeing Mary smile at him as he kills her and becomes an alcoholic to forget. He has a one night stand with a Capitol ‘influencer’ by the name of Tessa. He only heard that Haytham is his son decades later and their relationship is… more or less nonexistence. He becomes a coach when he heard one of the tribute is Haytham’s son.

Shay:

Career tribute, said to have been trained by Haytham himself (or so the rumors go). He likes to annoy Ratonhnhaké:ton and the Capitol believes this is a case of “biological son versus ‘adopted’ son” kind of deal. There are rumors that Shay is there to keep Ratonhnhaké:ton alive and for him to win but that’s ridiculous. No one would willingly sacrifice themselves for someone they don’t know… right? (unless, of course, it’s a child who was raised to be obedient to his savior). If you don’t want Shay as a tribute, he can be a past winner who has sided with the Capitol and directly works for Haytham.

Arno:

Tribute of District 6 (Transportation). Volunteered to protect Élise who was picked. Unlike the tragic love story of Ezio and Cristina, this one is more on the side of “does she love him or is he being a creepy stalker” with a side of “they’re stepsiblings oh the drama!” because Élise is cold to him. She’s trying to make him stop loving her so when it comes down to it, he will have the courage to kill her although… she’s also here to win to return to her father who only has her left so she’s also using this as a misguided attempt to stop loving him. In other words, tragic lovers route that the Capitol eats up.

Evie and Jacob

Tributes of District 3 (Electronics, Firearms and Mechanical products). Tribute of District 3. Evie ‘won’ the lottery and Jacob volunteered. Him volunteering has made their rocky relationship after their father’s death actually more strained. Evie is worried that Jacob volunteered to make sure she’ll live at the cost of his life and she would be right.

• I love a good fantasy AU: but like not all of them are humans. (these aren't specific to any games just a heads up)

I see Arno as a High Elf and Connor as a Woodland Elf.

Ezio and Desmond as Dragon Shapshifters: they tend to use their human appearance in public but if they are with friends, family or just relaxing they take on their Dragon forms. Ezio is a Giant Fire Dragon and Desmond is a Large Wyvern, hes got White and Red colors.

Altaïr is a Demon Shapshifter: he also prefers his human form if there are other humans around other than that he couldn't care less what people think of him.

Jacob & Evie are half elves, their father is human and their mother was a High Elf (I HC that it was frowned upon for humans and elves to be in a relationship let alone have kids so she was killed, and their father didnt want to raise them especially if it would make his image look bad). they tend to flock to Arno and Connor due to the elven blood in them. they both take the twins in, and when the twins ask specifically about High Elves, Arno is MORE than happy to educate them of their lineage.

Edward is a Zora-like Shapshifter: he's got gold and blue colors to him in his Zora-like form. this man doesn't come to shore often and even when he does he doesn't care what form hes in. if he's lazy it's the Zora-like, if he's looking for a lady friend he's human.

• I like an AU of the boys being Prince's of their respected countries.

Arno is a Cafe owner and writes storylines for plays & movies, also has a Masters Degree in Archaeology. (has several branches in different countries)

Ezio is a Banker like his dad (CEO) and a part time Model.

Desmond owns his own bar, and be bartends there. he also has a few different branches in the U.S. he has a Bachelors in Accounting though, was going to work for the Auditores but changed careers.

Altaïr has a doctrate degree in Astronomy and Philosophy. he's a Professor for both at a University.

Edward is a Marine Technician.

Connor is an Architect, he builds what he comes up with too. the jack of all trades.

Jacob is a High School History Teacher, I just think that it suits him for some reason.

Evie was a kindergarten teacher, she ended up transferring later on to a first grade teacher though since she felt like she got to spend more time with the kids and teach them more.

• I also like the idea of the boys being streamers, Altaïr & Connor are the ones always having Scuffs. it makes me laugh thinking of all the content they make together or in pairs, depending on who's up for it at the time.

Phobos, no, the events of MPN happened when Bank was a child so he's been LONGGGGGGG dead before her or any of the other kids (or Eb but that's just cause she was busy being trained in the AAHW) could have any interactions together. Auditor? They haven't met the dude personally but they sure are battling against the AAHW still once the kids are adults, so they know about them! Bank is the only one who's squared up against them but that's a fic spoiler lol

Aside from Audi, the other employers? Not really, considering the other employers are minding their business and not meddling with the affairs of Nevada, unlike Audi lol. However an idea crossed my mind that Ettie somehow ended up becoming bros with Stygian and now they're smoking buddies lmao. Something something Stygian is weirded out that Ettie even exists because clown's dead and alive simultaneously but Ettie is such a chill dude that Stygian doesn't have a problem with their existence lol

Okay so I already talked bout the Snow Genie Au, but I GOT THE CHARACTER SHEET DONEEEEE

Okay so, all the characters keep core personalities here. Finn is the Vamp!King (he hates getting called that), Simo is the Time Oracle (instead of wish master), Snow Genie (aka Prismo) is the Ice King, Jake is in Gunther's spot (his dad did this, cause his bio-dad is horrid), Marcy is a sweet yet care-free girl, and Bonnie is still a scientist with questionable morales, Dream Trunks is the Cosmic Owl stand in (if a bad dream with her happens, she leaves a treat somewhere in the affected person's home). Magic Scarab is a little crud who just wants revenge on Prismo (who isn't sane) for causing the apocalypse. And Betty is a God Auditor (she takes care of anyone against Golb).. Oh yeah

Golb is considered the main god now. So the Lich and Billy are also swapped (but Lich is still the last scholar of Golb, since understanding chaos takes a loooooooooootttttttt)

The day Buck finds out that the Los Angeles government is bordering on a full-blown budget crisis and the governor is sending two state auditors to gut every department, he ignores the pile of paperwork sitting on his desk and grabs the to-do list in his drawer. He's not stupid. If bankruptcy is on the horizon he knows there will be investigations and cuts and possibly a suspension of services. And as much as it fills him with a stone cold terror, the prospect of not seeing his friends and co-workers every single day, gossiping around the coffee machine with May, meeting Bobby's eyes through the windows of their offices, giggling with Hen at Ravi's newest idiom, it lights a fire under him.

If these are the last few days of the parks and recreation department as it is, Buck resolves to do everything he can to leave the green spots of the city thriving and greener than ever. So, he consults the steadily growing to-do list that was supposed to be outsourced to the correct departments, grabs his toolbox and pops into Bobby's office.

"Buck, I'm gonna need you to stay calm," Bobby says without looking up from his computer screen.

"I am calm," Buck replies calmly, serenely even. "I am, like, insanely calm about the fact that two state auditors are going to come into our little department, our little family, and start poking around. I am so zen about the fact that they're definitely here to slash and burn. And feeling like Hen during her yoga phase about the fact that they're definitely going to eliminate every service I bust my ass on providing for the kids." Buck takes a deep breath, unaware of when his chest started heaving, and meets Bobby's unimpressed stare. "See? Calm."

"Okay, Buck." Bobby sighs and turns to him fully with that dad look of his that makes Buck feel a little like a fifteen-year-old again. "We don't know what they're going to do yet, so I need you to stop the spiral."

"I'm not spiralling," Buck grits out even though he most definitely is. Or, well, it might not even be a spiral anymore. Just a fucking catastrophic squiggle done with so much vigour and violence that the ink tears the paper. Okay, he's lost track of the metaphor. "I just think we need to be prepared to fight them."

"They've been sent by the governor." Bobby sends him a look that's way too understanding for the hysterical knife-edge he's been balancing on since this morning's meeting. "They outrank all of us. We can't fight them."

"Okay, but I'm definitely still going to fight them," Buck says earnestly. Bobby sighs again before he glances inquisitively at the toolbox Buck has a white-knuckled grip on. "Battle number one," he clarifies. "Want to come and help me fix up the death trap at La Cienega?" Bobby's eyes go soft around the edges, something like pride lining the creases of his smile, and Buck's chest tightens.

"Sure, kid. Let's go."

Hello!! Thank you so much, I’m so glad you’re enjoying common grounds!! (Sorry about that cliffhanger last week 😬) the answer to your question below the cut~

Well the concept came about when I got on a post-finale voice call with my buddy (this was before I knew there was a burgeoning fandom so we only had two brains’ worth of insanity to work off of) and I said “I wanna write something” and they just said “boxing??? Sol is dad?? Maybe Qimir was injured? He has a weird relationship to his name?” and I’d already been angling toward making sure the Acolyte had a coffee shop au (as a fandom biological niche that needed filling) and I blacked out and had three chapters

I had a bit of a creative block called I Can’t Stop Playing Assassin’s Creed and another one called I’m Moving Across The Country By Myself which sucked to be in the middle of but in my opinion you gotta look at writer’s/creative blocks as like, unskippable side quests. You just gotta figure out what your brain is telling you needs to get done whether it be school or social efforts or Ezio Auditore or simply taking care of yourself. Sometimes I def struggle with finding places to take breaks, but listening to your body will help your body (and mind!) listen to you. Sometimes you just gotta take care of the meat suit so the think-meat has time to install updates.

One thing I’ll also say is never discount a single creative idea. Even if you’re like “this is actually the worst” it still counts as a guidepost of where you don’t want to go next. Initially I was going to have Idise be a fully forgettable NPC type OC, and I wrote quite a bit of the fic with that mentality, but then when I realized how cool it’d be if she was important, it made my storytelling a lot more intentional and I felt it flowed easier. You don’t need to find your way out of the maze on the first try. Let your mind wander into dead ends and explore where things CAN go until you realize where they SHOULD go.

That said, there are often times where the spirit is willing but the think-meat is not and you just have to be patient and kind to yourself. Fatalistic determinations on your self-worth are common in this period, so fight the urge to light the world on fire just because things feel bad right this moment. Everything you made before does not merit punishment for the supposed sin of stalled creativity, and neither do you. The more understanding you are of your creative mind, the more it will want to please you in turn.

I know that’s a bit philosophical and long-winded, but such is the price to pay when asking me about writing LOL

I find that fans of very niche pairings tend to persist for a long time lol

My version of it is kinda a departure from the original canon version of the characters.

Firstly I should say I changed the ages up by a couple years so vieri is like 19 and Federico is 21 during the time of that fight on the ponte veccio and they aren’t super familiar with each other beyond the rivalries between vieri and ezio. It’s only after Giovanni’s death that things start to adjust. I sorta made vieri have a big problem with making the execution so public bc it put a big target on the pazzis back and it’s the first major time vieris like “my dad fucked up what is he doing??” And that escalates from there. Vieri goes through with the orders he’s given from Borgia but he’s kinda half hearted into it and he’s starting to question the pazzis place in the templars. I want to incorporate a moment where vieri gives some information to the assassins about Templar plans in hopes of saving his family/dad. And the assassins are conflicted about it but it’s sort of a tiny olive branch unintentionally. Eventually vieri realizes his dad is gonna destroy the family so they have a fight which ends up with vieri stabbed in the abdomen pretty gravely, and him killing his dad. That’s during the same time ezio and Federico were breaking in to assassinate Francesco. Viola finds vieri slumped against a wall and tried to stop the bleeding. Vieris kinda just ready to slip away. Viola flags down fed and ezio and asks them to save her brother. Ezios like uh if he does, two birds one stone. But Federico decides to help vieri and viola and take them both back to the villa auditore.

Vieri nursed back to at least consciousness and the family’s been cycling through watching over him. Ezios the one who’s there when he wakes up and vie makes a snide remark and Ezio starts threatening him and fed has to pull him out to chastise him. At this point it’s partly they could get more info about Templar plans from him and part he promised to help the two siblings, and he can’t let ezio cause issues because of their rivalry. They’re having this fight right outside the door and vieri is listening and is like “clearly I’m not wanted here, and being among these people is going to get me into some torture situation or something” so he sneaks out (clumsily cus of his injuries) . Fed and ezio see he’s gone and ezios like “if I find him first I get to kill him” and fed is now racing against him to make sure that doesn’t happen.

He finds him just outside the city gates trying to get on a horse and he stops him. They have a little talk where fed reminds him of his condition and vie is like u should have just let me die. Fed convinces him to come back and rest.

From there on the dynamic is vieri being kinda thrust into what he perceived as dangerous waters and trying to learn to open up to people. He’s hesitant to get help from anyone no matter what. Federico is sorta the force pushing him to be more vulnerable. Fed also kinda learns to rekindle that more cheeky side through some teasing of vieri and teaching him how to be an assassin. They also talk to each other about their fathers and just how different their lives were. Vieri also starts to develop through fed a way to have healthy competition. Yknow races and sparring, etc.

That was a lot but yeah it’s still something I’m exploring in my art. I’ve drawn some of the stuff I mentioned up top lol

I was watching Avatar the last airbander and suddenly my mind just went " I HAVE AN IDEA!"

What about avatar x assassin's creed?

Desmond and his ancentors pretty please😅

My initial thought was “What benders would Desmond and his ancestor be?” and then brain went “Hey, you know that the Bleeding Effect is a lot like the Avatar’s ability to connect with past Avatars and the Avatar State, right?” and making them the consecutive Avatars seemed to be the logical conclusion. XD

So this would mean that Desmond is the next in the line of Avatars and the past Avatars were Altaïr, Ezio, and Ratonhnhaké:ton. We'll make the timeline a suggestion so they could all be consecutive Avatars and have Edward in that list too.

This does mean that they would have to have different elements and if we wish to keep the Avatar cycle from canon (air → water → earth → fire) with Edward being our ‘Water Avatar’, we’d be forced to put the characters as such:

Altaïr (Fire)

↓

Ezio (Air)

↓

Edward (Water)

↓

Ratonhnhaké:ton (Earth)

↓

Desmond (Fire)

Which… honestly? Kinda works?

The Fire Nation being more of a military juggernaut (especially during Last Airbender’s setting) works for Altaïr who was raised in Masyaf (which has a lot of private military vibe to it) and Desmond (who can be argued to have run away from involuntary Boot Camp). And really, if any Assassin can unlock Lightningbending, it would be Altaïr. Firebending has also been given a bad rep with the whole ‘it’s fueled by anger and hate’ but Iroh did tell Zuko that Firebending is a power controlled by the desire to accomplish one’s goals which fits Altaïr and his mastery over the Apple quite a bit. Also, also, firebending is connected to the sun so it would be ironic for Desmond to be a Firebender. (And because Desmond is our special boi, he can get Energybending too in the end… as a treat…)

Ezio being an Airbender sorta suits him? Airbenders are known for their love for freedom and trying to find peace which is technically what Ezio wished for once he let go of his thirst for vengeance, especially in Revelations where he’s trying to find meaning to his life (and if all these sacrifices meant anything at all in the grand scheme of things) which is more or less the Assassins’ equivalent to a spiritual journey.

I wanted Ratonhnhaké:ton to be an Earthbender anyway so this works well because Earthbenders are usually seen as resilient and enduring which fits Ratonhnhaké:ton more than the usual ‘meme’ of him being an angry “Where’s Lee!?” dude. Also... Ratonhnhaké:ton metalbending? God, yes!

But you know what would be such a fun AU idea?

If they’re Pro-Benders.

Like Altaïr, Ezio and Ratonhnhaké:ton are members of one of the most popular Pro-Bender teams.

While Desmond is some unknown dude who had just got to Republic City and was looking for a job. By a stroke of weird luck, he gets a job as maybe a PA or an assistant to the manager in charge of the guys’ team (maybe their manager is Edward who is a retired pro-bender). And Desmond isn’t a bender…

Or at least, that’s what they all believe.

And maybe there’s this whole mystery about how there hasn’t been an Avatar since the death of the last Avatar and the Fire Nation has been in a… strange state of panic and defensive for the last 25 years now. Maybe Altaïr left his hometown after so many people keep saying “if only you’ve been born as the Avatar” and became a pro-bender to show everyone that he didn’t need to be the Avatar to be the best Firebender that Fire Nation ever had.

Maybe… just maybe… Desmond gives enough hints for others to realize his hometown was in Fire Nation, somewhere quite isolated…

And he really didn’t like to talk about his past.

Desmond: he's shocked, scared, and doesn't want to be a part of the child's life AT FIRST. since he grew up in a messed up family/childhood I don't forsee him wanting a kid hes got that PTSD. but if he ever found someone he truly loved and they wanted kids he'd be down for 1 (maybe 2) I think the reason being that he'd have at least 1 would be because of the love from the auditores. gender doesn't matter to him. since he had no siblings or treated like a child by his parents he'd be the one that reads books on how to take care of them, good formula recommendations etc.

Ezio: He'd be shocked, but not at the same time since hes a womanizer. excited to show his child to his family. I HC that he wants 4 kids, just like his parents had and would prefer 2 boys and 2 girls. he had good loving parents so he'd be a good dad. since he helped his mom with his brother & sister when they were younger he has that natural nurturing care/love. knows what he's doing and doesn't read books.

Arno: he too is shocked, this man thinks he may faint. loves the child before he even saw it. I see him wanting 3 kids, he'd want 1 girl and 2 boys. his parents were also very loving & nurturing and since he was an only child he got attention to himself. he knows just the right amount of discipline & 'spoiled'. he does do a little reading up on certain things before the first child is born, and then after that he's like don't worry, I got this. he'd definitely be Mr. Mom lol

Connor: he DOES faint, went into shock but he's okay. excited and scared to be a dad, his tribe and parents adore this lil baby. another Mr. Mom lol I see him wanting 4 or 5 kids, and since his tribe was so close and he helped raise other small children he also knows what he's doing. another one that got the right amount of love and affection. doesn't read up on child care, but does read up on what's the most popular/best diapers, baby wipes etc.

Edward: another one is isn't fully surprised. he'd take one look at the mother of the child and say "who the hell are you lass?" then to the child "what's that?" your child. man goes into shock and can't speak the rest of the day. he will take responsibility but it'll take awhile to sink in hes a dad. I see him wanting kids a little later in life, maybe mid 30's he's still young and wants to do things in life before settling down with a family.

Jacob: "that's a baby, why's it here?" the mother of the child turns to Jacob "its your child" cue Jacob "YOU WERE PREGNANT? all I heard was you gained weight--" Jacob gets bitch slapped. "yeah okay, I did deserve that I shouldn't have said that." ever seen the hang over? with the baby wearing sunglasses in that carrier over his chest? that's Jacob as a dad.

Altaïr: "why is there a small human in your arms?" he asks the woman as he's staring directly into the baby's eyes, who's staring right back at him. "this is your child--" he's shocked and confused. another one who doesn't want to be in the child's life but it's out of worry, he doesn't want the child to be in danger. I'd say early 30's he'd be more comfortable with a child, but he's another one who needs to find a woman he truly loved before that, like the trust needs to be deep for him. but before that were to ever happen he'd want the Templar situation to be more in control.

She felt like hell's freezing over. She wants to cry. She wants to hit, to hurt. She wants to destroy these people. Because how, how dare they wear her parent's faces. How dare that woman softly smile and walk towards her like nothing happened, when she had cried and broke and screamed herself hoarse on Kaachan's puddle of blood? How dare that man laugh boisterously, picking her up and spinning her around like he knows her, when she had felt and held Dad's hands and whispered little promises to him until he kissed her one last time and left this world?

Timothea suppressed the hot resentment and pure hate that bubbled in her stomach, nearly forcing itself to show up in her eyes. No. She cannot fail now. Not when her parents, her real parents, ones she knew loved and cared for her had died to make sure that she won't get taken away. Kaachan has stories and her loving warmth, and Dad has tales and his protective frost.

These people? They are nothing to her, nothing but strangers in this giant Manor that's supposed to be home, spies that the enemy planted to ensure her obedience.

Timothy just giggled and smiled from ear to ear, happy that his parents are actually letting him say goodbye to them for once.
