I think there should be more fanfic where shen yuan and shen jiu just like fist fight each other in a walmart parking lot type vibes or smth. Scratches and screams and biting and rolling in the dirt. "To develop you need to suffer" VS "you don't need to suffer to develop", Total opposites meeting in a messy, petty clash in the backdrop of being perfect foils to each other morally. Absolute hatred of the others' outlook on life but also simply not thinking about it that deeply. Beating the face in of someone that looks eerily like you and feeling childishly satisfied doing it.

actually i know we’ve talked about the season 8 opening disaster mirroring the tsunami, but with eddie instead of buck, and i’d like to add that i need the ending song montage to do that too. i need it to be photograph again, and interspersed with shots of disaster aftermath, i need to see gerrard leaving the 118 (hen and chim and ravi watching in satisfaction), i need to see bobby and athena and the kids unpacking boxes in their new house, i need to see chim and hen going to the madney house together to have dinner with their wives and the kids. and i need it to end with eddie standing in front of his bathroom mirror, shaving/brushing his hair/washing his face, and i need him to glance at his phone, open to his text chain to christopher (showing us that they’re talking and working on rebuilding things), and i need ed sheeran to sing “wait for me to come home” before the song fades out. and i need buck to enter the diaz house and yell “eddie, i’m home”. and i need eddie to look at himself in the mirror. and i need him to smile.

You say Siren Eddie, I say Diver/Tour Guide Steve

You say Steddie in an aquarium, and I bring you ‘the owners don’t know Eddie’s a siren, and the staff keep going missing. Someone takes him out of the tank so Steve can clean it except they never actually got him out, and he didn’t notice cause the tanks so damn big, so Steve’s stuck in there with this thing that’s been after their staff.’

The aquarium is closed over the weekend too, so unless Eddie releases him, he’ll die when his oxygen goes out.

Something something Eddie makes sure the other fish in the tank stay away, especially the more aggressive ones, and lets steve go when he has thirty minutes of air left.

And since Steve didn’t disappear, the owner keeps assigning him that tank. And Eddie keeps following him around as he cleans up all the bones that are seemingly human, and making jabs that he can barely respond to, plus bringing him some dead fish and shells.

The disappearances continue until the owner is like ‘Okay Robin I need you to go in with Steve to make sure something doesn’t happen to him.’

They get in the tank and Eddie is immediately attempting to murder her, his fins are up gills are flaring, and Steve has to hold him back.

“Stop being so goddamn hostile!!” It comes out warbled and muffled because of the mask, and the fact that they’re in water.

Robins going forward and Eddie is making a shrieking kind of noise, when she gets too close he starts snapping his teeth and Steve pinches him hard.

He stops shrieking, and instead yelps, “Ah, what the fuck man?!”

“You were trying to eat her!”

“What the fuck what the fuck what the fuck…” Robin backtracks to the wall of the tank.

“So? Why’s she even down here? You’re the cleaner.”

“Cause people keep disappearing.”

“We’ve already established I’m not gonna hurt you.”

“Yeah, but they don’t know that. They don’t even know it’s because of you.”

He doesn’t kill her, and she keeps coming to the cleanings but stays far away from Eddie. The disappearances stop, and the owner decides that he doesn’t have to clean the tank as often.

Eddie starts missing him, so whenever Steves in-front of his exhibition, he’ll press his face against the glass and just stare at him creepily.

Maybe it’d be funny if he yelling his name and banging on the glass.

“Steve!”

His eyelid twitches, but he continues with his facts for the kids in-front of him. There’s bangs on the glass behind him. “Hey, I’m talking to you!”

I just think it’d be neat.

Bonus point if the party are all kids who’s parents work there, and they get brought to work everyday after school.

i play a lot of farming games (story of seasons, stardew valley, old harvest moon, etc) and my rotten goblin brain can't stop thinking of two scenarios skks (both somewhat enemies to lovers)

city girl!reader who uproots her life to take over her grandpa's rundown farm and gets on the wrong side of the other farmer in town (kita/daichi/ushijima/your choice) who thinks she's some uppity rich girl that's gonna leave in a month

or the exact opposite with farmer!reader that's beloved in town for their award-winning crops but is constantly butting heads with some young CEO (sakusa/kuroo/your choice) who keeps trying to buy the farm to use the land for development or some shit

either scenario ends up with them fucking on top of a bale of hay or some shit skks

in today's segment, i would like to highlight this particular part of the recent interview with tim:

a second crisis?? after a different 70s disaster movie?? tim you sneaky goddamn bastard!!

anyways, after reading this i decided to look through a bunch of other 70s disaster movies to see what could potentially spark joy for that second crisis and...

hear me out:

we know athena is transporting a prisoner who escapes. we know it's someone from her past. there's a disaster movie from 1977 about an escaped convict who starts a forest fire to cover his escape.

you see where im going with this??

personally, im betting that it's going to be junior - the guy who killed the little girl from athena's childhood. since jeffrey hudson is super dead and the guy who killed emmett didn't really seem angry at his arrest, just resolved, he feels like the best bet.

the source that said she was transporting a prisoner also had photos of her at an airport, which makes sense if he's coming in from florida!

also, if i remember correctly, junior knew that bobby was a firefighter? so might specifically start a fire knowing that would be a good way to distract athena in particular?

also also, we haven't had a forest fire yet in the main show, just the lone star crossover ep!!

(and you know who also gets called in a lot for forest fires?? air ops 👀👀👀 the perfect opportunity for some tommy content and a potential for some danger there!!)
