Neo - avant garde emcee Boldy James has linked with the 90's Detroit mixtape DJ legend DJ Butter for a tape that sounds like it was dropped in the mid-2000's. This can only be accomplished by these two artists, most likely because they have both been through decades in the game but are still relatively unsung heroes, overlooked like the city that they hail from and speak of with reverence in "The Art of Rock Climbing". Since the beats are dated, "... Rock Climbing" will serve more as a rarity in Boldy's unique catalogue, and most likely will not get as much play as his more most known unknown collaborations with ALC and Craven, but that does not mean that the lyrics here do not have jewels or that Boldy and his guests do not blaze the beats - as stale as they are. A project like this might standalone, but I think it was honestly a lob Boldy threw to DJ Butter to go check out his older tapes. If that's the case then I've bit on the nostalgia.
